Web Cam II Driver for XP

Is there any Win XP driver for a Web Cam II?

On the creative website click "support", then "downloads".
On the new page click "web camaras", then click "webcam", then in the 3rd box scroll down and click on "webcam 2 or II" and click "go".
On the new page click on "search archi'ves".
On the new page scroll all the way to the bottom and click on "i agree"
And there it is.

• Web-Cam: Linux Driver Needed For T400

Hi all,
I have Lenovo T400 that works perfectly.  Had Win-7 Ultimate dual-booting with new install of Linux Mint 9 (Isadora).  Decided to delete Win-7 Ultimate.
Linux Mint OS 9 fully confiqured and running nicely recognizing all hardware except FingerPrint and Webcam device.
The Fingerprint device is cool, but would like Webcam Device Driver.
Is there a Webcam driver available for the Lenovo T400?  If so, please reply,
Warmest Regards,
~ digi

In a terminal as your user:
lsusb
You will see the device ID code for your camera. Here is mine on ThinkPad Edge: 04f2:b1cf
You can then do a google search for "Linux web cam xxxx:xxxx" compatibility.  It is likely that the driver is already loaded because of the auto detect function of the kernel scripts.
You can check that in a terminal as your user:
lsmod
Look for modules: v4l1_compat, videodev, uvcvideo.

• In multiple web cam publisher environment for a room how to restrict subscriber to see only admin

I am creating a video chat application, where admin can publish his video and all the subscribers to this admin room can see admin video feed. In this application Member list sections will display list of all user s including admin connected to this room. This member list panel is displaying images of respective user against each user’s name.
Till now this application is working fine but I am trying to add following functionality in this application
In member list section, in place of connected user‘s image I want to display each user‘s video feed. To achieve this functionality I am giving start video functionally [via a button click] for each subscriber which in return calling a web cam publisher component to publish the subscriber video feed. This is also working fine, but now problem is all the subscriber can see others subscriber video feed along with admin video feed. I want to restrict subscriber to see only admin video feed..
Please provide me some suggestion / solution to resolve this issue.
Note : I have created two video chat applications one for admin another for subscribers both are connecting to same room[admin room]
Thanks ,
Ritesh

Hi Ritesh,
Use two different WebcamSubscribers. One Subscriber would just subscribe to the Admin's Video feed, while the other subscriber would subscribe to all the user's: video feeds.
Try exploring the publisherIDs API in WebcamSubscriber.
Thanks
Arun

• 3rd party mic & web-cam for 1GHz mirror G4

hi,
I have try the old apple mic & got a mic froma computer store but all doesn't work...
Seems like all the salesman does not know much about mac and keep giving me the wrong information... and they don't accept returns...
Pls recommend any cheap or good mic & web-cam that works for my G4.
Also is there anyway to tell if the product works with mac as the packaging normally only give infor for PC. I have so far collected alot of 'junk' which the salesman promise it works with all computer but that doesn't seems the case... not for me...
I'll be using the mic & web-cam mostly on skype. Thanks

Hi-
The following is a list of Mac compatible web cams, particularly when used with Skype:
http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showtopic=69289
Note that many use the Macam driver, or for example, as in the case of the Logitech QuickCam Ultra, no driver. I use the Ultra, and have had no problems. Most of the logitech line, as well as the Macally camera, will give good results
To use many of the cameras with iChat, the iChatUSBCam is the ticket.

Here is a link to a free program that will run to detect if you have webcam or if it still is working. You won't need to install it to have it test your webcam. The program is "CamDiag". This is alot less expensive to see if your webcam is still working or not. It is a zip progam the last time I download it was a exe program but they probably update since then.

• Web cam recommendations please

Hi All,
I'd like to get a web cam with microphone for myself (in a low-light house) but also for three others who own pcs. These pc users are elderly with varying degrees of computer savvy. Sigh. This is strictly non-professional. Keeping the grandparents up to date on grand kids development, that sort of thing.
Does anybody have (1) opinions about what I should get for my Mac and (2) what to get these pc users?
Thanks so much.

If you have a Mac with USB 2.0 Ports and running greater than 10.4.9 then any USb camera that is "Vista Certified" or says USB Video Class (UVC) will work without need for extra drivers on the Mac.
If you have only got USB 1.1 ports then get a USB camera that has Mac Drivers and the iUSBCam utility (the page has a link to a camera guide about drivers as well).
The PCs will somewhat depend if they are on Vista or not.

• Driver for USB Web-camera?

I'd like to use a cheap web camera as an input device to Labview so that
I can play with the image processing features.
Does anyone have a driver for something like that? I've looked at the
NI web site and I haven't found anything for USB. Lots of firewire, IEEE 1394,
but no USB.
Jim

That's a joke, right? Very hard? Other that the very specific USB drivers
that Iomega provides with their USB zip drives for WinNT, there are no drivers
for USB for WinNT. There was some software developer down in India that
allegedly had USB drivers for NT and like a fool I tried to use them. Zoowie,
I get to reformat my hard drive. Complete and total system disablement (?)
If you know of any USB driver for WinNT let us all know. I for one have a
large financial and personnel commitment to NT and don't have any plans of
switching to Windows 2000 any time soon.

• XP Driver for Web-Cam model no. 1100001212

hi,
search XP driver for my webcam model no. 000022
thx
baddie

Hi, exactly the matrix driver is the right one for the Sata controler look here
choose the right version for your chipset , look for version for floppy 32bit , run it take some diskette put , and this file will put the drivers right to diskette, then copy this files from diskette, and save them somewhere on the hard (by the way DO THIS ON SOME other computer) . the name of the floopy manager file is "f6flpy32"
If you already have the sata drivers (extracted files from this file ''f6flpy32'')
Take the tirth party program called: "nLite" copy the disired windows to a folder on the pc, and then turn on the nLite program (the program runs only on windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista) and follow the steps first screen is for the windows that you already copy on the pc (choose where is he) secound screen i think was for the sata driver (choose where is he) and follow the other steps until it finish, then will run to modify the new windows (with integrated sata driver for sata for XP).
here is the right link for the matrix driver for L40-14F http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/sb/CS-025753.htm
(Choose Intel?® Matrix Storage Manager, choose XP, then Floopy "
32-bit Floppy Configuration Utility for Intel?® Matrix Storage Manager")
Good Luck!
