    Hi!,
    I have Mid Tier installed on one of the Linux box and Infrastructure installed on a separate Linux box. Both of these boxes are behind firewall. I have successfully compeleted portal configuration for Reverse Proxy. I can access portal via internet. Users don't have to put port numbers (7777 or 7778) to access the portal. Users just enters http://www.abc.com, which takes them to portal builder page.
    However, Both of my Web providers are not working. As described by the document to configure seeded provider. I changed to port in the URL from 80 to 777. http://www.abc.com:7777/portalTools/webClipping/providers/webClipping. I can access these two web provider applications from the internet, with both the ports 80 as well as 7777. I also edited the provider.xml to use proxy.
    When I try to personalize web clipping portlet. and provide URL Location. It is giving me following error.
    An exception has occurred : oracle.portal.wcs.transport.http.HttpTransportException WCS-514 -- Get status code 400 to URL http://www.xyz.com by method get
    It seems to me I may be missing one of the configuration step, don't know which?
    I appreciate your help in advance.

  • My iPhone gets a "web server proxy error" connecting to wifi @ home

    Ever since installing Comcast Xfinity with Motorola SB6121 and Apple Extreme 5th generation, my iPhone 4 gets a web server proxy error or similar message for any apps seeking to go online.  My iPod Touch 3rd generation works as does my MacBook Pro.
    I've reset the router, harangued Comcast (no help - it's your phone, sir), rebooted the iPhone, checked all my settings (VPN - what's that? it's not connected), Proxy in the VPN settings is set to off. The phone will show the signal and it will check Apple Mail but Safari, Google APP anything needing web access will either hang or give the proxy error message.  Apple Customer Care said call Comcast, Comcast said call Apple & I'm surprised to find little help on the web.
    Here's what I found to work on a MacForum sight from 2 years ago.
    1.
    Settings->WiFi->under choose a network, click the blue arrow (on the right of the network nameyou use)->DHCP
         *now check the IP address with the one on your iPod Touch or computer to see if they are in sequence
         *scroll down to HTTP Proxy & make sure it is off
         -> renew lease may work
    It was the making sure the IP address was correct/in sequence which I moved to the STATIC tab and input all the same information (use a screen shot to remember it - home button and on/off button at the same time, it will store in your pictures folder) and give that a shot.
    The problem appears to be where multiple machines or devices are using the same router. The iPhone 3GS assigned an IP Address in order of preference, therefore 192.175.1.1 and then 192.175.1.2 etc. The iPhone 4 will assign a strange IP address which the router will not accept. You therefore need to look at the other devices linked and see what number is next in the sequence. Then go to static on the top tab and type in the IP adress manually followed by the Subnet mask, router and DNS details. Once you have completed the info press the DHCP button and HTTP Proxy as off - this is important.
    2.
    This is how i fixed the wifi problem...(i used my mac)
    So basicly I created a new WiFi hotspot on my iMac, then I connected my iphone to it and it WORKS!
    1. open System Preferences (Apple -> System Preferences) and click Sharing.
    2. select Internet Sharing at the left side.
    3. Then check off AirPort.
    4. Then creat a newtwork name, and password
    5. VOILA! look at the Wifi connections on your iPhone and it should be there!
    (IF YOU HAD ANY PROBLEMS GO TO THIS LINK..
    http://maketecheasier.com/create-wif...s-x/2009/10/20
    THIS SITE SHOWS YOU HOW TO SET IT UP)
    3.
    reset Network
    Same problem, but none of the above worked for me. Finally went to Settings/ General/ Reset/ Reset network settings. Saw this in a different thread.
    Hope these help.
    Cheers,
    cs

    This has solved loads of people who have this issue and have used an alternate DNS setting.  Below are instructions for both iPhone OTA and on you Mac
    If you are getting the error message "Unable to check for update" when you try an OTA (over the air update)
    Change DNS Servers
    Settings -> Wi-Fi
    Click the blue arrow on your connected network
    Delete everything in DNS and replace it with 208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220
    Try again
    If this works, you will probably want to remove the WiFi network using "Forget This Network" and then reconnect to it to get your original DNS servers back. Alternatively, make a note of the original DNS servers before deleting them and replace it after you are done.
    If you are getting the error message "Unable to check for update" when you try through iTunes
    On your Mac
    Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click Network.
    Select the network connection service you want to use (such as Wi-Fi or Ethernet, unless you named it something else) from the list, and then click Advanced.
    Click DNS, and then click Add at the bottom of the DNS Servers list. Enter the IPv4 address for the DNS server.
    You can use OpenDNS
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220
    or
    You can Google Public DNS if you want
    8.8.8.8
    8.8.4.4
    I have actually repointed my routers DNS so all my devices now point to OpenDNS servers

    PLs guide me.
    Sailaja.

    Also, additionally, please make sure you had followed all the steps in "Deploying Fusion Web Application" chapter of the Fusion Developer's Guide for Oracle ADF. There are several steps you need to follow closely - for example you need to create the Datasource entries first. Also, ensure that the WLS server you are trying to deploy to has all the necessary ADF runtime library. For example, when you create the WLS server using the Configuration Wizard, you need to check the option "Oracle JRF - 11.1...." to install the ADF runtime library to the WLS Server you are creating. If you are deploying ADF application to just any WLS server, you will see a lot of these "missing library" errors.
    If you do not see the option "Oracle JRF - 11.1...." in the configuration wizard, please ensure that you are running the version of the Configuration Wizard that are shipped as part of JDeveloper studio edition.
    Thanks,

  • Web Service Proxy errors out

    Hi,
    I have created web service proxy using Jdeveloper 10.1.3. My Jdeveloper is set to JDK 1.4.2_17. I can compile and run this web service proxy fine from Jdeveloper 10.1.3, but as soon as I deploy this to Oracle AS 10.1.2 on unix platform it errors out. This is the error message it gives. Why it doesn't find this class?

    I think that the Web client proxy in JDeveloper 10.1.3 uses Java EE 1.4 libraries which you don't have on OAS 10.1.2.
    You might want to look into hosting an OC4J 10.1.3 instance under OAS 10.1.2.

    The same webservice, with stubs created using Axis2 ADB works...
    Edited by: e.gherardini on Dec 2, 2010 2:41 AM

    The problem was in the web service, not in the proxy.
    The web service did not set the "nillable" attribute of one of its inputs, so the client had exceptions. Setting to "true" or "false" the attribute, fixed the problem on client.

  • PROXY ERROR IN PORTAL

    Hi

    please help me out.

    The portal DAD settings are configured at: http://<hostname.domain>/pls/portal30/admin_/gateway.htm

  • Configuring a Apache Reverse Proxy for OracleAS Portal and OracleAS Single

    I'm trying to implement my Oracle Portal 10g Release 2 with a reverse proxy (Apache 2.2) as described in this link: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_19/core.1012/b13998/variants.htm#BEIFECEH without success. I have Oracle Portal, Oracle SSO,OID in the same domain and Apache Reverse Proxy in another domain. Has anyone had success using OracleAS Portal with a reverse proxy?

    First of all i'm trying to configure a reverse proxy only for Ora SSO (infra tier). Here is what i already do:
    APACHE REVERSE PROXY (Apache 2.2)
    http:/proxy.mycompany.com:80
    ProxyRequests off
    ProxyPassInterpolateEnv On
    ProxyPass / http:/portal.tech.everett.it:7777/
    ProxyPassReverse / http:/portal.tech.everett.it:7777/
    ProxyPreserveHost On
    ORACLE SSO
    http:/portal.mycompany.com:7777
    Here are the steps i already do:
    1- CONFIG OID
    create an ldif file called setdasurl.ldif and insert as follow:
    dn:cn=OperationURLs,cn=DAS,cn=Products,cn=OracleContext
    changetype: modify
    replace: orcldasurlbase
    orcldasurlbase: http:/proxy.mycompany.com/
    then do ldapmodify as follow:
    ldapmodify -x -h portal.mycompany.com -p 3060 -D "cn=orcladmin" -w password1 -v -f setdasurl.ldif
    2- CONFIG ORA SSO (as gentjan user)
    export ORACLE_HOME=/home/gentjan/product/10.1.2/OracleAS/infra/
    2.1-config Apache config of ORA SSO
    vi $ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/conf/httpd.conf
    change from:
    ServerName portal.mycompany.com
    Port 7777
    KeepAlive On
    to:
    ServerName proxy.mycompany.com
    Port 80
    KeepAlive Off
    and add at the end of httpd.conf
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteOptions inherit
    2.2- update DCM Repository (as root)
    *$ORACLE_HOME/dcm/bin/dcmctl updateconfig -ct HTTP_Server -v -d*
    2.3- modify SSO Server Home URL to reverse proxy hostname and port (as root)
    *$ORACLE_HOME/sso/bin/ssocfg.sh http proxy.mycompany.com 80*
    2.4- Updating the targets.xml File
    Open the ORACLE_HOME/sysman/emd/targets.xml file and locate the target type oracle_sso_server.
    vi $ORACLE_HOME/sysman/emd/targets.xml
    Update the HTTPMachine and HTTPPort attributes with the proxy server host and port attributes that were passed to ssocfg. For example:
    Property NAME="HTTPMachine" VALUE="proxy.mycompany.com"
    Property NAME="HTTPPort" VALUE="80"
    Property NAME="HTTPProtocol" VALUE="http"
    Save and close the file.
    Reload the Application Server Control Console by issuing this command (as gentjan):
    *$ORACLE_HOME/bin/emctl reload*
    2.5- Re-register mod_osso on SSO Middle-tier with reverse proxy hostname and port
    some needed permissions
    chmod -R 775 /home/gentjan/product/10.1.2/OracleAS/infra/dcm/
    Re-register mod_osso (as gentjan)
    *$ORACLE_HOME/sso/bin/ssoreg.sh -oracle_home_path /home/gentjan/product/10.1.2/OracleAS/infra -site_name infra.proxy.mycompany.com -config_mod_osso TRUE -mod_osso_url http:/proxy.mycompany.com:80 -update_mode MODIFY*
    2.6- update DCM Repository (as root)
    *$ORACLE_HOME/dcm/bin/dcmctl updateconfig -ct HTTP_Server -v -d*
    2.7- Restart OC4J_Security and Oracle HTTP Server at Infrastructure tier
    *$ORACLE_HOME/opmn/bin/opmnctl restartproc process-type=HTTP_Server*
    *$ORACLE_HOME/opmn/bin/opmnctl restartproc process-type=OC4J_SECURITY*
    After this modifications my reverse proxy is ok.
    I can access to http:/proxy.mycompany.com:80 and this redirect me to Oracle Application Server Welcome page.
    If i try http:/proxy.mycompany.com/pls/orasso/orasso.home, i can view the SSO Server Home page.
    The problem that i find is when i click to Login page for Oracle SSO.
    I have the following error:
    Forbidden You don't have permission to access /pls/orasso/ORASSO.wwsec_app_priv.login on this server.
    So, in other words i can't do the login/logout under reverse proxy. Anyone can help?
    Gentjan

  • Web Service Proxy error: "No operation found using soap keys"

    I'm trying to use the new tools, and having a little trouble. Not many results when searching for this error message.
    I have developed and deployed a new Java web service proxy using the outside-in approach according to the [help docs|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/EN/46/7f2fef88190ad3e10000000a11466f/frameset.htm] (PI 7.1 SP07, NWDS 7.1 CE SP09 PAT0000). Started with a Service interface in ESR, then generated a java bean skeleton into a new EJB project in NWDS, then wrote business logic and deployed.
    When I test the web service (with 3 different SOAP test clients) I get the same error, below:
         <faultstring>com.sap.engine.services.webservices.espbase.server.additions.exceptions.ProcessException:
    No operation found using soap keys [], [spmat_jdbc_receiver_proxy]. InterfaceMapping Object class:
    com.sap.engine.services.webservices.espbase.mappings.InterfaceMapping mappings: {BindingQName=
    {urn:nexeninc:pi:ll:spmat:100}SI_I_Sync_SPMAT_JDBC_Receiver_ProxyBinding, BindingType=Soap, PortTypeQName=

    27e4d529:127632b5c52:-7ebb}.</faultstring>
    My service endpoint interface looks like this (unimportant lines removed):
    package nexeninc.pi.ll.spmat._100;
    @javax.jws.WebService(name = "SI_I_Sync_SPMAT_JDBC_Receiver_Proxy", targetNamespace = "urn:nexeninc:pi:ll:spmat:100")
    @javax.jws.soap.SOAPBinding(parameterStyle = javax.jws.soap.SOAPBinding.ParameterStyle.BARE, style = javax.jws.soap.SOAPBinding.Style.DOCUMENT, use = javax.jws.soap.SOAPBinding.Use.LITERAL)
    public interface SIISyncSPMATJDBCReceiverProxy {
      @javax.jws.WebMethod(operationName = "SI_I_Sync_SPMAT_JDBC_Receiver_Proxy", action = "http://sap.com/xi/WebService/soap1.1")
      @javax.jws.WebResult(name = "spmat_jdbc_receiver_proxy_response", targetNamespace = "", partName = "spmat_jdbc_receiver_proxy_response")
      public generated.SpmatJdbcReceiverProxyResponse siISyncSPMATJDBCReceiverProxy(@javax.jws.WebParam(name = "spmat_jdbc_receiver_proxy", targetNamespace = "", partName = "spmat_jdbc_receiver_proxy") generated.SpmatJdbcReceiverProxy spmat_jdbc_receiver_proxy);

    (continued from above post)
    And my implementation bean looks like this (unimportant lines removed):
    package nexeninc.pi.ll.spmat._100;
    @SessionHandlingDT(enableSession = false)
    @AuthenticationDT(authenticationLevel = AuthenticationEnumsAuthenticationLevel.BASIC)
    @TransportGuaranteeDT(level = TransportGuaranteeEnumsLevel.NONE)
    @WebService(serviceName = "SI_I_Sync_SPMAT_JDBC_Receiver_Proxy_Service", portName
    = "SI_I_Sync_SPMAT_JDBC_Receiver_Proxy_Port", endpointInterface
    = "nexeninc.pi.ll.spmat._100.SIISyncSPMATJDBCReceiverProxy", targetNamespace = "urn:nexeninc:pi:ll:spmat:100", wsdlLocation
    = "META-
    INF/wsdl/nexeninc/pi/ll/spmat/_100/SI_I_Sync_SPMAT_JDBC_Receiver_Proxy/SI_I_Sync_SPMAT_JDBC_Receiver_Proxy.wsdl")
    @Stateless
    public class SIISyncSPMATJDBCReceiverProxyImplBean {
         @RelMessagingNW05DTOperation(enableWSRM = false)
         public generated.SpmatJdbcReceiverProxyResponse siISyncSPMATJDBCReceiverProxy(
                   generated.SpmatJdbcReceiverProxy spmat_jdbc_receiver_proxy) {
              System.out.println("Starting siISyncSPMATJDBCReceiverProxy.");
    When we first created the new endpoint in NWA, we tried asigning a new name for both "Service Endpoint Name" and "In New Service", and we received this error.
    We then deleted the endpoint and created another new one, setting "Service Endpoint Name" to match the portName in the implementation bean: "SI_I_Sync_SPMAT_JDBC_Receiver_Proxy_Port", but that didn't work either. The only option we enabled in the endpoint was HTTP authentication: User ID/Password.
    My ejb-j2ee-engine.xml and application-j2ee-engine.xml are both empty (but they exist).
    I am new to EJBs and JAX-WS so hopefully it's something simple. All help appreciated!
    Apologies for the long (and wide) post.

  • Oracle Web Center Suite and Oracle Portal

    1)What is Oracle Portal and why it is used?
    2)What is Oracle Web Center Suite and why it is used?
    3)What is the difference between Oracle Portal and Oracle Web Center Suite?

    1) Oracle Portal is the Portal product that was deployed together with the application server before weblogic server. It is still used a lot for corporate intra and extranets. It is mosly used for intranets and extranets. When you bought the licence for the application server you automaticly had the licence for Oracle Portal. That's why it is so popular.
    Oracle portal is not realy standard based. You mostly will create portlets with PL/SQL or PDK and not realy use the JSR168 standard.
    No with Oracle Portal 11g you can consume JSR168 portlets using WSRP.
    2) Oracle WebCenter suite is the next strategical choose of oracle in portal software. Webcenter is an enterprise 2.0 portal environment while oracle portal is more web 1.5 and has limited web 2.0 stuff. Oracle Portal comes with a complete UI for the user to use to create websites and groups but webcenter is more a framework to incoorporate enterprise 2.0 features into your own fusion web application. Webcenter suite comes with Webcenter spaces. THis is a complete UI to create collaborative websites.
    Webcenter framework is a powerfull framework to create complete enterprise 2.0 sites.
    3) The difference... Oracle Portal is an old product and will not be developt anymore. I've heard portal 11g will be the last version meaning support will stop at 2014. Webcenter is a new product to create state of the art enterprise 2.0 websites.
    Oracle portals is not build on standard and is not realy standardbased meaning is you develop portlets for portal you will not be able to use them in other portals.
    Webcenter on the other hand is completly standard based. It is JSR168 compliant and in the near future it will also support JSR286.
    Oracle portal is PL/SQL based while webcenter is completly java based, based upon the ADF framework from oracle.
    Because WebCenter is based upon the ADF framework you can use the complete ADF framework for your application. For example consuming webservices are very easy in webcenter. If you are using a service oriented architecture you will have lots and lots of work to integrate it with portal. With webcenter this is peace of cake.
    Hope this helps you :)

  • Integrating Web Services Manager with Oracle Portal and SSO

    Hi,
    I wanted to throw this out there and make sure I was on the right track and also if somebody can point me to some resources online that might help. Basically, we have OWSM acting as a Gateway securing some web services. Oracle Portal is integrated w/ Oracle SSO (as well as using OID). What is the best way to pass the credentials to the OWSM from the Portal for authentication purposes? I believe using SAML voucher token is the way to go, but I'm not positive. Has anybody done this before and if so, what methodology did you use? I'm assuming since using SSO, we don't necessary want to also pass in the password.
    Thanks,
    Nathan

    I have noticed that nobody has same kind of situation and this is not intresting question. Still we have same problem and I have heard many oracle employee saing that this behaviour is wanted situation. In our kind of virtual host enviroment it would be nice to choose behaviour of Single-sign-on server and I request oracle support to find out ways to enable this option... I would be pleased if some oracle development would say opinion about this mater. Waiting for ideas.

  • Abap web dynpro proxy error

    hi all...
    i m getting error while testing my abap application.. can anyone pls suggest me, where should i set the proxy settings for that?
    error is like this:
    Proxy Encountered Error
    Host Address Not Found: The proxy could not find an IP address for the host in your request. Possible causes include mistyped URL, misconfigured DNS and transient network problems.
    thanks...

    1.      Choose Web Services Container -> Runtime -> Settings.
           2.      Enter the required data.
    ¡        Proxy Host – the host of the HTTP server.
    ¡        Proxy Port – the port of the server.
    ¡        Exclude List – contains addresses or parts of addresses, which are ignored by the proxy server. Use semicolons ( to separate entries. You have to add the local IP addresses and domains, which do not use the proxy server. For example, .sap.corp and 10.
    ¡        Proxy User Name – a user name for authenticating before the HTTP proxy server, if required.
    ¡        Proxy Password – a user password for authenticating before the HTTP proxy server, if required.
    ¡        WS Clients Socket Timeout – a socket timeout (in seconds) for the Web service clients’ requests. By default, it is 60 seconds.
           3.      Choose Save.
