You use the BI Administration Cockpit to perform administration tasks in BI more simply and quickly. You can call the BI Administration Cockpit from the BI Administration 1.0 business package in SAP Enterprise Portal. It supports BI administrators in status monitoring and performance optimizing by providing an overview of the objects and processes in BI systems. It provides BI administrators with a central point of access that is focused on critical situations and allows for navigation to more detailed information and error handling and optimization applications
The motivation behind BI Admin Cockpit is Easy administration for complex Enterprise Data Warehouse. It supports the BI Administrator in various things like status tracking, performance optimization etc. It provides single point of entry with cockpits like Real-time monitors, Runtime Statistics and you can also monitor across the systems. There are drill-down to details to in monitors and even processing options are given. In this way the administration task will become easier and faster. Currently there are 3 main parts in BI Admin Cockpit:
1) Data load Satus
2) Data load Statistics
3) Query Runtime Statistics.
Even ST03/ST03n fetches data from BI Admin Cockpit cubes
A dashboard will be more to do with requirements and customizing web templates. There are however some dashboards available under EP. As for BW you can create your own templates and have them precalculated if necessary depending on usage
A dashboard is kind of cockpit for very high executive reporting, and it contains in a single "wall" a collection of indicators, KPIs, graphs and so on in order to better understand the "direction" of a company...

Offline Web cockpits and automatic printing

Hi,
I am currently developing Web cockpits for offline usage (precalculation and download scheduler, then publishing via an Intranet) in BW 3.5.
I'm looking for a method to create printable versions of the web pages (as for instance via pdf files) that could be made automatic (push-button like).
Does anyone have some experience/idea with this?

In General i created some classes which references SAP Standard classes. i registered these classes in the information Broadcasting. this makes them visible in broadcaster an gives you the possibility to select PDF as requested file format.
And also i created an external RFC-Server which will later convert the HTML Files or xls files to PDF.
When the setting is executed the broadcasting precalculates the template and overhands me the html-files together with the mimes. Then i sent these files to the external Server which will convert each htmlfile into a PDF. Afterwards the pdf's gets merged to one pdf.
When this is finished i receive a Binary string from the rfc-server which i route back to information broadcasting which sends the file as mail or put it into portal.
It is also possible to convert PDF on the fly this means you are navigating in a template. out of this template you can call a helpservice which will convert this template with its navigation state to pdf.

If you want to precalculate a Template you can do that by using the broadcaster or calling a report.

IC Web - manager dashboard hangs using HTTPS for CRM_UI_FRAME

Experts,
I am on an ISU-CCS project in realization using IC web front end. Here are our versions:
CRM2007
ECC 6.0 EHP3
We have the IC web client talking to back-end and most everything is looking good.
I turned on HTTPS/SSL using all the usual notes....and it seems to work well, we can even SSO over to back-end to execute webgui transactions via IC Web.
My problem is when I use a certain business profile and test:
Monitoring Operations --> Manager Dashboard
As long as I have HTTPS turned on for the CRM_UI_FRAME, if I access above mentioned portion of IC Web, it just sits there and creates a hundred different HTTP logins for my ID. It blinks quick at the bottom and I see it try to execute the bsp: CRM_IC_MDB.
Funny how it tries to continue to use HTTP even through I am switching to HTTPS everywhere.
If I go back to HTTP, (turn off switch to HTTPS), the the manager dashboard works OK.
Normally, I would think problem with HTTPS/SSL setup, but all other portions of IC WEB work great using HTTPS/SSL.
I check ICM log and nothing unless I bump trace to level2. Then too much stuff. But I do see this:

I can't figure this one out......any ideas?

We figured out the issue. There is a transaction launcher setting specific to MDB that has a https flag.

How to add a new filter in existing BIWS (WEBI) for dashboard consumption

Hello Experts, we have 7 web service query's connected to a dashboard. Basically it is one WSDL URL and 7 Get Methods...Web service queries are BIWS (via WEBI document instance). There are filters setup for each of these web service methods.
Recently there was a request to add 2 new fields to the webi document and also the 2 fields need to be included as filters in the 7 methods. I know there is an option to edit the method, but when i edit the method, i cannot find the 2 new fields in list to set as filters.Can anybody help me understand how to add filters to an existiing web service method? I do not want to delete the method and republish the block as web service.
Any help will be great and points rewarded.

Hi Ann,
You can create a new WebServices or modify the document block on which the webservices is published.
Once the block is modified you might be able to see the new objects in the filters.

Web Template to call another Web Template (Dashboard to Dashboard)...

Hi All,
I have a dashboard where I want to drilldown to a more detailed level of data.
I have setup the RRI and when executing in the initial dashboard it uses the default web template...fine. But how to get it to call another template/dashboard?
Is there a way to have multiple tables in one dashboard and the "2nd" table only gets filled when the RRI is executed?

help!
i'm at my wit's end!
i want to do something EXTREMELY simple, but can't figure it out
i need to make a dashboard widget that displays a web page in an iframe
i've tried and tried and tried and i can't get it to work
the web page i want to display is http://www.noleggedsnake.com/Widget/Home.html
when i make a simple widget with an iframe src'ed to this address
it doesn't work! it will work if i src to other addresses, like apple.com
but it won't work on that address, even though a browser views it fine
what's going on?
i'm so frustrated by this because it should be such a simple thing to do
i need the iframe to be a specific width and be navigatable
that is, you should use it like a browser but only throughout this site by navigating the links on the pages
can anyone please help!

- Flash works locally but not remotely. Why? (upload the

On my new web site Dashboard, when making any Chamges or Updates, I either get a AJAX Issue or FF CRASHES, is there a Fix for this?

* Length of time - last 4 months, starting with FF V16 thru V20.
* Frequency - On every dashboard attempt to Update my new web site pages, using RedFrame.com.
* Errors - window message - "AJAX issue here - 0 Reason -error" when update icon Hangs or Freezes. (photos available).
* RedFrame Support - Crashes & hangs are attributed to Missing, Corrupt, or Old Code on FireFox.
* Web browsers either not affected or minimally affected - Google Chrome (most stable) and Safari (less incidents)

* Clearing your Firefox browser cache
* Removing your redframe.com cookies
* Testing with add-ons disabled
For the first two: When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Cmd+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
Firefox menu > Preferences > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site:
Tools menu > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Here you can individually remove them. Then try reloading the page and logging back in. Does that help?

Hyperio FR and Web Analysis Dashboards compatibilty with IPAD

I want to know whether we can access Hyperion workspace web page, Hyperion FRs and WA dashboards from IPAD/IPAD2.Can anyboy help me out with this? Its a bit urgent.
If its compatible what should be the pre-requisites for the IPAD? Is there any additional software that needs to be downloaded?

As far as I know OBIEE (11.1.1.5 +) is the only suite to have ipad compatibility, check out some info here: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/doc.1111/e25318/whatsnew.htm
Workspace is very dependant on java, with jsp driving a lot of the content for WA, so it probably won't work.
You can also note that Safari is not listed as supported by Oracle, only Firefox 3.5 is on OSX - as a side note I can connect directly to the old planning web port 8300 with my iphone - although there do seem to be some issues with clicking and navigating.
There is a newer version 11.1.2.2 due out in the next couple of months, which may have some better compatibility - although I believe Oracle are pushing OBIEE as the mobile connectivity framework.

Health explorer inside of web console dashboard

Inside of the operations console you can right click an object in an alert or state view and pull up the health explorer. This also works inside of widgets in the console.
The web console is a different story. You can get to the health explorer the same way in the web console if you are in an alert or state view.
The issue that i found is in regards to getting to the health explorer from inside of a dashboard through the web console. When i right click an object inside of an alert or state view widget.....No health explorer.
Is this by design or was it an oversight? I am really hoping that it was an oversight and will be implemented in a future update. Am planning a large deployment to about 5,000 servers and this will greatly impact the way i plan on setting up views for the
customers. Without the health explorer it largely makes state view dashboards useless.

P6 Web - Executive Dashboard

Hey,
I'm having a problem with the informations on the Executive Dashboard, specifically on the Budget Variance.
The data in the column "Actual labor units" on the P6 Web its not the same as shown in P6 Project Management Client Server.
However, when I open the project on the field "Projects" of the P6 Web and I choose to show the same column, the data this time, its the same as in P6 Project Management Client Server, wich means is not the same one showed on the Dashboard.
What do I do to make these informations to be the same of the P6 Project Management Client Server on the dashboard?

MIH1. This should be posted in the P6 forum, not Contractor.
2. A license is required to login to P6, so if you need someone to be able to login, they need a license.
P6 Web licenses are pretty cheap, I'd recommend having one available for those who need view access and then assign it as needed to any users as required.

Web Sites Dashboard broken

This morning at 6am, the Website monitor dashboard is not reporting any metrics for the previous hour.
if i switch to previous 24 hours, i can see that everything stopped at 6am, and if I switch to previous 7 days, again i see that no more statistics have been recorded after 6am this morning

Si pasa el ratón sobre la página con el puntero del ratón,
mantener la "tecla de opción" hacia abajo para ver la "X"
El X borrará la página.
Si usted no puede conseguir en el salpicadero. Prueba a borrar el plist
com.apple.dashboard.plist
Se encuentra en la biblioteca del usuario.
Buscador> Ir> Ir a la carpeta (Finder>Go>Go to Folder)
~ / Library / Preferences / com.apple.dashboard.plist
Reiniciar el ordenador, el plist por defecto a reconstruir.
