Web DB. Someone can help me?

I have to develop a website application with Oracle Web-DB. I can't understand how to make a link in a report that can accept itself as parameter. I mean, I want the user to click on the link, the text of the link must be used for a sql query with other parameters taken by a form.
I hope that someone can help me... hoping that I have been clear enough

Look at the javadoc for <b>java.sql.DriverManager</b> as a place to start.
I use the following code to create a connection to an Oracle database:
Connection connection;
try {
     Class.forName("oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver");
     String conStr = "jdbc.oracle.thin:@<hostname>:<port>::<DBSID>"
     connection = DriverManager.getConnection(conStr, username, pass);
} catch (Exception ex) {
     Log.error(ex);
You'll obviously need to use a different drive, and I don't have any experience building a mySQL connection string, but I'm guessing it's not entirely different that what you see here.
