Web-DMS activation

Dear all
I have activated the web-dms using SICF, then went to bc-bsp and activated "cvaw_entire"
I have added the required entries in c:\windows\system32
after clicking u201CTest servicesu201D I could able to login to web-dms but not able to create anything
The error message is as below.
BSP exception: Application sap\cvaw_document_search can not be started. Create an application node using transaction SICF
I am not able to see this node in SICF

Hi Sandeep,
please see the SAP note 1038797 and use the report 'BSP_UNLOCK_LONG_APP' to unlock the former BSP pages.
Therefore you just have to execute the report in SE38 and enter the page name 'cvaw_document_search'. After pressing F8 the page is unlocked again and should work in WebDocuments.

WEB DMS Error uploading file / create DIR

Hi SapGurus,
I have a problem creating new documents using WEB DMS, i remember trying to do it some time ago, and i could manually create the documents through WEB-DMS Create option choosing the configured document type,
but right now iam not able to upload any original file and create a NEW DIR, as it gives me an error message "an Error occurred while loading file" please suggest me what may be wrong with this now.
Also can we maintain standard SAP Object links while creating the DIR through WEBDMS, as iam not able to find the SAP Object link Tab / field while creating the DIR In WEB DMS,
(FYI, in the find documents we could find the document based on the SAP Object link Reference,) so i think there is an option to maintain SAP Object link details for the DIR getting created.

Hi Priya,
please note that in WebDocuments only the existing object links are displayed. Therefore not all maintained objects are visible but only those where links exists.
There are certain selected data sections in WebDocuments that are shown in display mode or in change mode. The following sections can only be displayed and not changed
- Data for Document key
- Data for Object Links
The following sections can be changed in WebDocuments
- Document Data
- Additional Data
- Originals
- Description
Hence when a Document Info Record is created or changed, the object links data are not shown. It is shown only in search and display mode. This is the way system is designed. You can look at the application help for more information on the web documents. Also kindly note that WebDocuments is not the complete replica of SAP GUI CV01n, CV02n or CV03n. It has some limitations when compared to SAP GUI transactions. So as no new links could be created in WebDocuments not all available objects are displayed.
I hope this information could be useful regarding the object link behavior in WebDMS.

Hi SAP Gurus,
i have some basic Quires to be clarified regarding WEB DMS,
Does Accessing documents through WEB DMS Documents require SAP Logon ID and Password, as i tried opening up the WEB DMS Link in different user System of my clients, but it did not ask them to enter there USER ID and Password, why is it so? is this normal behaviour? if not what is going missing?
once the user enters in to WEB DMS does all the SAP DMS authorization apply to restrict the particular User in accessing the documents, ( based on the authorization to access Document type, Lab Office, status autorization..... of the User ?
is there any developments or enancements allowed in WEB DMS Area?

Dear Benaka,
yes you r right it may ask User ID and password at the initial generation of the WEB Link,
but i think when the same link will be used by all the users for accesssing the documents in WEB DMS, then it is not asking for UserID and Password.
So when any X Y Z Person uses the Link to access DMS Documents through WEB DMS, we now gave the the same link to all the users to get in to WEB-DMS,
so for each user who is authorised to access Documents in WEB-DMS, ideally should we create as many links as different users, using there user ID and password, so as to apply authorization concepts applicapable to each of them as defined through authorization control?
is my understanding right, require your inputs,
basically if a user does not have access to document type in SAP DMS, he should not have access to the documents in WEB DMS,

WEB DMS Office Document Access- Password Prompt

Dear All,
Business Users are Using MS Office 2007 and MS Office 2003
We have Configured WEB DMS for Development System
In SE80 when CVAW_ENTIRE is Executed and when DIR is Accessed there using Display/Change, All file formats are accesed fine without any password prompt,But While Opening Microsoft Office Documents(.doc,.docx,.xls,.xlsx,.ppt..pptx) from WEB DMS DIR it gives UserName Password Prompt (Warning: This server is requesting that your username and password be sent in an insecure manner (basic authentication without a secure connection))....
When i don't enter username and password and press cancel file opens in Read Only Mode...So, i need is by default file shoud open in read only mode without asking unnecessary Password Prompt...Above is applicable when MS Office 2007 is installed in local PC
For Office 2003 the problem is there for .xls,.xlsx,.ppt,.pptx files , however .doc files opens fine and does not ask for any password prompt and opens in read only mode directly.
The above both scenarios for Office 2007 & Office 2003 works fine with Mozilla Firefox Browser and does not prompt for any passwords.
Help is Required urgently

I'm also trying to enable WebDMS. I have already configured in SPRO.
In SE80, pointing on "CVAW_ENTIRE->Pages with Flow Logic->index.htm", when I click on "Test/Execute", a webpage opens but throws an error:

Thumbnails in Web DMS

hi dears,
i am configuring web dms, now my problem is, i am unable to get thumbnails in web dms for jpg, mbp files.If i open the same files in sap dms i am able to get thumbnails, when i open them in web page i am not getting thumbnails. I already defied applications for thumbnails in TC cvaw_cust. What is the problem and where exactly i need to configure to get thumbnails in web page.

Use
In this step, you define workstation applications for document types.
You can use these workstation applications in document management to display images that are assigned to a document info record (DIR) as thumbnails.
The workstation applications are used for display per document type in the sequence defined.
When displaying thumbnails, the system first takes the first Customizing entry. If the document of this document type has no image of this format, the system checks the next Customizing entry.
If there are no images with the formats defined in Customizing, no thumbnail is displayed.
Requirements
You have defined document types.
You have defined workstation applications.
Activities
To define workstation applications for thumbnails, proceed as follows:
1. Choose New Entries.
2. Enter a document type and a workstation application.
If you have defined more than one entry for a document type, you can define the sequence in which the system checks the entries and uses them to display thumbnails.
1. Place the cursor on an entry. In the structure, choose Change Sequence.
2. Use the arrow keys to move your entries to the position you require.
3. Save your entries.

Web Service Activity problem

Hi,
I want used the "Invoke Web Service" activity but my "WSDL URL" don't work.
However, when I put my url (http://172.31.194.112:8080/contactRH/services/ContactRHAccess?wsdl) on IE, I can read my web service.
I think that don't work because this url have a bad type.
So, how can I load my web Service ?

Thanks,I have found the problem (type="xsd:string" and not type="xsd:String").
But, if I try to use an internet webservice (http://www.webservicex.net:85/LloydsRiskCodeService.asmx?wsdl or
http://api.google.com/GoogleSearch.wsdl) that doesn't work (connection timed out :connect or connection reset).
But if I use this web service on my computer, that work.(C:\...\name.wsdl).
So, when I say "that work" that mean my WSDL URL is loaded.
Is it normal?

If you can view ECLViewer in SAPGUI then no need to maintain seperate original viewer for webdms...
Please make sure that you have maintained application as
EAIWeb.webviewer2D.1 %SAP-CONTROL%
for *.dwg files in SPRO "Define workstation application in network"
also in SPRO at "setup webDMS (BSP)"
mention document types for which you are going to use *.dwg orignals.

I have checked SICF transaction. Each and every setting is same as there is in dev., but then also in testing instance I am unable to find the correct link for web DMS. Kindly help other than this, where to check. In customization exactly tell the place where I can find the settings.

Hang while web inspector active

While developing website content, I like to have the web inspector active for debugging purposes. If it is active and I refresh the current webpage Safari appears to hang until I remove the web inspector, then the page loads normally.
This behaviour is mildly annoying. I wonder if this is a bug or if there is some undiagnosed problem with my web pages. Anyone else have this problem?

Can we bind twitter streaming with web center activity stream.

Our PM suggests us to use Web center activity stream to store the twitter status based on our twitter search filter . To achieve that, it seems that we need to include the activity taskflow ( or data control) in our application and binding the taskflow with our twitter streaming. Is there any approach to achieve that? where can I find more details about using/extending activity stream.

Unable to see thumbnail in web DMS

Hi all
i am configuring web dms, now my problem is, i am unable to get thumbnails in web dms for jpg, mbp files.If i open the same files in sap dms i am able to get thumbnails, when i open them in web page i am not getting thumbnails. CCE Web Administration - Active Directory issue when managing agent attributes

I am experiencing an issue when managing agents (supervisors specifically) in CCE Web Admin. When attempting to add / remove / modify an Attribute for a supervisor agent we are getting an error that the supervisor must have a valid active directory account. (Screenshot attached) The agents that this is affecting are correctly configured in ICM as a supervisor and ICM was able to successfully move their AD account into the 'Config' AD Security Group. From looking at the logs on the AWS it appears that the Web Admin tool is attempting to lookup their account in AD via UPN by appending their username to the domain name.
Log Snippet:
exception=com.cisco.ccbu.api.jaxb.error.ApiException: supervisorUserInfo.userName: Could not find user. Check if a domain account exists for [email protected]
This isn't going to work for some users in our account because we have multiple suffixes in our domain. (Our domain is a single forest and I'm not aware of a requirement to have a single suffix.)
I'm curious why it wouldn't use samaccountname which is what I believe ICM Configuration Manager is using. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Lo and behold, my AD sync started working.
Though I have added the site to my local intranet sites, I'm not very confident whether this was the actual solution. I've performed several actions configuring my farm before I started troubleshooting this issue again, so it might be another action that
solved this.
Alemaitre: can you try the following please:
See if the SharePoint Web Service site is started in IIS. If not, start it, see if that works.
Instead of adding the site to your Trusted Sites, try Local Intranet Sites (click Advanced to add sites besides using auto-discovery)
Turn the Security Level for the zone all the way down.
Turn off Compression for your site in IIS, do an iisreset, see if that works.
I've also had to remove a host header from my MySite portal (running on port 8080 here), unlikely for this to be the cause but it's just one of the things I did this morning :-)
Should I think of anything else, I'll let you know.

Web Services Activity Insert problem with linking to child contact records

Hi - I am trying to use WS 2.0 to insert a new activity and link it to a list of contacts. I have converted this from WS 1.0. It works fine without the contact linking code but fails with the following message when linking to the contact records...

Web-controller Active Directory authentication

We have a 10.5.7 xserve as our Podcast Producer server. The server is tied to Active Directory for authentication. I just recently installed the web controller. When I authenticate with a local server account, I get in just fine. But, when I try to authenticate to the web controller with an AD account it fails.
Now I know that since 10.5.6 in Podcast Capture I have had to select "single sign-on" in the app's preferences. Does anyone know if there is something similar in the web controller?

I figured it out. May not be the perfect solution, but it works until 10.5.8.
In /Library/Preferences/com.apple.pcastserverd.plist
Find the following:

Unresponsive Mac: "Finder Web Content" Activity eat my virtual memory up to 4 GB

Since a couple of month my MacBook Pro Mid 2009 2.66 GHz, Intel Core 2 Duo, NVIDIA GeForce 9400 256 MB, 8 GB RAM, OS X 10.9.4 is becoming slower and slower.
On the activity monitor, sometimes shows up “Finder Web Content”, (see picture below), which take a lot the RAM memory and I always have to “force quit” the process before my virtual memory available becomes zero (0). The open apps are automatically paused and unresponsive. Does anyone have any experience with this issue?
I also upgrade my RAM memory from 4 to 8 GB and it looks like that this process, (Finder Web Content), just take all the memory available in that moment; it does not really matter how much free virtual memory I have left.
Further than that, my mac is getting particularly slow at the start up and when opening Apps and waking up. I regularly clean the library’s caches, applications states, trash, I reset my RAM, I verify and repair disc permissions and I have I tidy desktop…
I still don’t know what is it: is it just becoming old?
Any suggestion will be much appreciated. Thanks to all!!
