   If you focus on the the input field in the first row, you get the value help
However if I go to the second row and focus on the same input field in this column, I don't get the value help:

Close OVS Help via Button in Web Dynpro for ABAP

Hello!
Is it possible to use a close-button in a "ovs help popup"? I tried to fire a "Type-Exit Outbound-Plug" of window controller of the "ovs help window" but it didn't work.

in Web Dynpro for ABAP there is currently no possibility to subscribe to the close event of the OVS popup.

Web Dynpro for ABAP iView can't work

I've developed an application in web dynpro for abap, it can be accessed from this url:
http://pekax110.aaa.com:8001/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/zsfa_test
But when I created an Web Dynpro iview, set the parameters as follows:
System: SAP_CRM
namespace: sap
application: ZSFA_TEST
The WAS setting of the System is:
Web AS Host Name: pekax110.aaa.com:8001
Web AS Protocol: http
I add to iview to an portal role, and assign this role to one user. When I open the iview with the user, the iview reports error:

Upload Offline PDF file to xstring context attribute by file upload in Web Dynpro parts.
Set Offline PDF file uploaded via xstring context attribute in 'pdfSource' property of interactive form.
I wish to view Offline PDF file and get data to context in 'dataSource' property of interactive form.

Hi Daisuke,
As per your requirement, to get done your work you need to create two Adobe Forms , one is for Offline Interactive Form and other is Online Interactive Form.
In offline Interactive you design your form and define the Layout type as zci layout and Abap Dictionary Based interface. And by executing the form you can save the form to your desktop.
Now in online Interactive Form you create the context similar to the one which has been created in the Offline Interactive Form. Now in one view you define the file upload functionality and in other view you define the adobe interactive form, for this the interface is automatically as it asks for the context and its of type XML based interface, also do maintain the context variable something like "PDFDATASTRING" with type XSTRING in the Component Controller and now in adobe view you give the property pdfstring as "PDFDATASTRING" and dont forget to provide the navigation of these two view, and set the File Upload View as default view.
The above functionality can help you in some way or the other.

Text editing in Web Dynpro for ABAP

I am interested in getting ideas on the best way to achieve the following functionality in Web Dynpro for ABAP:
1) A text-editor where some basic formatting is possible (Italic, Bold, etc.) for the user to enter formatted text.
2) Save this text in some format to the dictionary maintaining the text formatting.
3) This saved text should appear on a PDF printview from the WebDynpro. Of course the formatting should appear on the screen as it was created with the text-editor.

Upload a file in KM repository with Web dynpro for abap

Hi gurus, i´m trying to create a KM repository and then upload a file into this repository with Web dynpro for abap , but i can´t find any info. Can anyone help me with this problem, i have to solve it ASAP...

Hardware requirement for Web Dynpro for ABAP

Hi Friends,
                I am a starter in Web Dynpro for ABAP and about to develop web dynpro application in ABAP.Can anyone please guide me on the hardware requirement for this application of SAP?
       Presently I have ECC 5.0 installed in 1 GB RAM using 160 GB harddisk.

Troubles with Windows 7 Enterprise and Web Dynpro for ABAP

Hello together,
we've installed Windows 7 Enterprise and IE 8 and are using Web Dynpro for ABAP.
Since this installation on one Client, it is not possible to use the WD application - the sites seems to be frozen!
I know the fact, that SAP will support Windows 7 in March 2010 but it would be very helpfull if someone could give me a hint to solve this problem before.

Hi,
Go to internet explorer -> tools -> internet options -> Advanced
There locate the check box "Enable memory protection to help migrate online attacks" and uncheck it.
Let me know if that works.

ESS framework in web dynpro for ABAP?

Recently, I need to start an ESS project using web dynpro for ABAP. Unlike web dynpro for java, we have ESS framework in every track, like pcui/xx DCs and ess/per DCs in the track. And as there are existed projects in the DCs like ESS/JP/ADDRESS, we can just follow suit.
My question is: are there ESS frameworks in web dynpro for ABAP? Or existed ESS projects based on web dynpro for abap?

Hi,
As far as i know, it would need really a huge amount of effort to develop ess on Webdynpro for ABAP. As you know that it is not a part of SAP standard delivery, you really have to start it from the scratch.
It would be a custom developed application.

How to Call Transaction iView that calls RRMXP from Web Dynpro for ABAP

Dear Experts,,
I'm developing an application in Web Dynpro for ABAP wherein I'm supposed to give a link that should open an SAP Transaction iView that calls tcode = 'RRMXP' and I pass the application parameter as QUERY/WBID = <BI query/Workbook ID>.
I tried calling com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.bwc.Transaction iView, but it asks for system/application and GUI type parameters. How to pass through the URL?
Any help would be highly appreciated

My problem was that I was supposed to call the BeX Web Analyser ( a BI excel based tool - client installation) on click of a button in my WD-ABAP application. I solved it as follows :
In the portal pcd, I cam across a folder content provided by SAP. Here, you'll find standard template iViews that can be used to call applications ( for which you make iViews). I had to call an SAP TCode : RRMXP so as to call a BI Workbook/Query.
So, I called the standard iView template for sap_transaction_iView as follows :
irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtmode/preview/prtroot/'
           'pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2ftemplates'
           '!2fiviews!2fcom.sap.portal.sap_transaction_iview?'

In web dynpro ABAP we follow MVC(Model View Controller) architecture.
In this object oriented ABAP is used to provide background functionality. Here, your ABAP skills can be utilized to the fullest. Programming in web dynpro ABAP is different than conventional ABAP programming. Here we strictly follow MVC architecture in terms of controller interface. Also there are many wizards available so that we can directly pick the code from wizards.
e.g We can call BAPI through a service call in web dynpro application. Thus automatically backgroud code for BAPI execution will be generated.

FlashIsland is a native UI element like table or image - not a reusable component like ALV. What release level is your system? FlashIsland is only available on NetWeaver 7.0 Enhancement Package 1 and higher.
Also the FlashIsland UI element must be a root UI element. Therefore it has be created in its own view. Right mouse click on the ROOTUIELMENT in the UI element hierarchy and choose Swap UI Element Definition.

Here is some information about Webdynpro for ABAP.
1) This is basic Info of WD ABAP
As the name suggests Web Dynpro for ABAP uses exactly the same meta model as its cousin Web Dynpro for Java. A Web Dynpro component, a Web Dynpro view, a Web Dynpro model, a Web Dynpro controller have the same semantics both for ABAP and Java. The main difference is the designtime environment, the development infrastructure and the runtime environment.
The designtime environment is properly embedded in the ABAP Workbench where Web Dynpro artifacts are simply a new category like BSP applications or classical dynpro based applications before. Also no surprises regarding the development infrastructure. The correction and transport system keeps track on all changes that are done, versions them and helps to propagate the Web Dynpro application from development to production like you would do with ordinary BSP or dynpro-based applications.
Last not least the execution platform is the ABAP server that produces application content ready to be integrated in the NetWeaver Portal seamlessly. Features like portal eventing can be used between applications written in ABAP or applications developed with Java.
