Web Flash Gallery

The "View" submenu of the Flash Gallery template provides two options, Gallery and Slideshow. Currently the default opening is to the Gallery view. Can the coding of the XML file be changed in Dreamweaver to default to the Slideshow view?

Sounds very wrong to me Chad.

  • Exporting the Lightroom Web Flash Gallery

    I have a website that includes an HTML slideshow.  I would like to update the HTML slideshow to a web Flash slideshow through the Lightroom 3 web Flash gallery module.  So far as I can tell, however, one can export the Lightroom Flash module only as a standalone generic webpage (index.html).  What I would prefer to do is (1) extract the Flash module from the generic webpage and add it to one of my own webpages, or (2) redesign the generic webpage to make it one of my own webpages.  To date, I have been unable to accomplish either in my web creation software, Dreamweaver CS5. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to proceed?  Many thanks for your help.

    Consider using an iFrame to include the gallery in the page. It's much easier than getting all the right bits in the right places to make it work.

  • Web Flash Gallery: Problem setting Large Images size

    When using the Lightroom Flash Gallery I am not able to change the size of the Large Images (Web | Appearance | Large Images | Size). When I set the size to Medium or Small, the large images always ends up with the same size as when set to Large. Only when setting the size to Extra Large there is a slight change in size.
    How can I change the Large Images size to Medium and Small?

  • Mac: Web Flash gallery crashing

    I'm only a week into this program and have run into a problem. If I select a few JPEGS and attempt to make a Flash Web gallery inevitaby LR will crash. The Flash plugin is current, Quicktime is not selected as a Flash player, the usual suspects. It's not the computer, it's running and tests out fine.
    Any suggestions?

    This gets "better" the more I dig into it. I can't preview a flash gallery in a browser. The tmp or exported files are accessing the network/internet in some odd way that OSX is not happy about. I suspect it's making an attempt to link to the Flash website.
    Web, it seems, is a very touchy beasty on OSX.
    Fortunately, I can do galleries and flash slide shows in RapidWeaver but the Adobe templates do look much nicer. I hope they sort this out in 1.2. A program costing this much should not be flakey.

  • Can I add music to a Web-Flash Gallery?

    I thought that I had done this in LR2, but I cannot find an option inthe Flash gallery to add a soundtrack.  Is this possible in LR3?

    Thanks Sean.  I had (just deleted the other day) a flash web photo gallery on my web site that had music.  If I did not do it in LR, I am not sure how I did it.  Could it have come from Bridge?  I am running a new PC now, but I do not think that I had any third party apps where I might have done this.

    I have all my photos valorized with gps information and I would like to use this feature also inside the web gallery I create.

  • LR Web flash gallery mulitiple pages, links

    Any way to edit a flash gallery to link to other galleries? I want to be able add links to the pages. Other than adding an iframe, I'd rather add links to the pages them selves. Thanks

    I'm getting the same thing. The transition has a little "pop" right at the end before moving on to the next slide but doesn't happen with all slides. All my images are on an external drive that is served wirelessly to my computer.
    You can see an example at this address. http://vimeo.com/15554651
    Not sure what Slideshow Pro is but will check it out.

  • Flash-driven web photo gallery in Contribute

    I created a flash-driven web photo gallery in LightRoom. I'm

    From what I understand on the internet, a lightroom gallerie
    is build with more files than just one swf. Have you checked this
    and made sure that these are on the server?

  • Adobe web photo gallery - flash gallery 2

    I'm using the adobe web photo gallery, flash gallery 2 and I
    want to slow down the time it takes for each photo to fade in. I'm
    referring to the part that after the image preloader is done and
    when the image is transitioning from white into the full image.
    I've gone through the code but to no avail. Can someone help me
    with this? Thanks!

    Most CS3 Web Photo Gallery Templates are flash free.  They use straight HTML.  Even the ones the change images automatically just use HTML to refresh the page displayed and change the page to the next image.   The Photoshop Web Gallery Template can be edited and customized to better suit your needs.    Adobe has removed Photoshop's Photo Web Galleries from newer version of Photoshop however the Feature can be installed into the newer Photoshop versions.   Adobe added an output module to the Bridge that can create Web Photo Galleries these are mostly Flash based and not easily customized like Photoshop's old Web Photo Gallery templates.
    IMO there is nothing wrong with Flash Web Galleries other then mobile tablets and phone do not have flash support. I have yet to see any HTML 5 web gallery with features that match Flash Galleries.  I'm not a fan of Flash web sites or Flash games.  However there are many Flash web photo galleries that perform well and have great features.  I do not particularly want to display my images on small web phones.  If you want to see them on a tablet get a windows 8 pro tablet they should have flash support. I put large images in Web Photo galleries fitted for 1600x1200 displays and count on flash to resize them for the users browsers window.
    Here is an example of a Flash web photo gallery. It contains 8 or 9 albums some with additional feature enabled.  All generated in Photoshop with a custom script. http://www.mouseprints.net/albums/
    Resize your browser window see the image sizes change use the menu in the bottom of the browsers window to change album and try full screen support.  I only use Flash for Web Photo Galleries.  I'm not selling so I do not need IOS and Android support.

  • Flash-Web Photo Gallery

    I am trying to create a flash web photo galler using the Automate>Web Photo Gallery in CS2.
    I want to mix the features of the 2 existing options.
    In Flash Gallery 1, the thumbnails are listed as small icons in multiple lines and are magnified when the mouse hovers over them, like the dock in OS X.
    In Flash Gallery 2, the meta data listed in the xml file is displayed only if you explicitly click on the info button, and it is below the picture.
    I need these 2 options together. The rest of the options are not a problem I can go either way.
    Is there another Flash Gallery that will combine these two options?
    If not:
    Is there a way to modify the flash file to accomodate this?

    Google "Flash Gallery Templates", you'll see 2.4M links.
    Back to levonk's original question... sounds like you're trying to do what I'm trying to... alter the Flash files used to generate the Web Photo Gallery Flash Gallery 2.
    Here's my question, similar to yours:
    How do i open the "gallery.swf" file to alter Photoshop Flash Web Photo Gallery?
    Built Web Photo Gallery in Photoshop CS2's Automate. It turned out OK, and I made adjustments in the "index.html" and "galleryconfig.xml" files in a text editor (BBE).
    Now, I'd like to alter the template's .swf file but can't open it as it's "protected".
    It would be nice to be able to set up a new template that does exactly what I intend, without altering the other files. But I can't open the protected "gallery.swf" file to make changes. Can someone help? Does Adobe have an unprotected copy of that file I can fiddle with? Is there some "trick" to open a copy of that file? I could learn a lot and make it easy to repeat results for a site. Any assistance most appreciated!

  • Phtoshop CS 2 - Web Photo Gallery - "Flash - 1 Gallery"

    I'm using Flash 8 Pro.
    I'm interested to know the code that Adobe Uses with one of
    their Web Photo Gallerys (Photoshop CS2) - it's the one called
    "Flash - Gallery 1".
    Here's a sample of it:
    http://www.newrisedesigns.com/charlie/060416/
    What I'm interested in, is how to do the thumbnails...when
    you roll over them - they move all of the other thumbnails around -
    and also show the name of the external jpg file.
    Anyone know or have the source code to do that? What about
    any kind of tutorial out there that can do this?
    Help please?

    Hi PZ,
    Yes, I am sure you are right that a very limited percentage of my potential clients are viewing my portfolio on a mobile device.  Nonetheless, it would be nice to have something online for those who do.
    I will keep my eye on the SlideShowPro site and see what Todd offers.  SSP seems like a great company, so I'm sure they will come up with a good solution.
    In the meantime, can you tell me if there is a way to have my current index.html page to redirect to another page if a Flash player is not present, or if it detects a mobile device?  I can always have a link -- "Click here if you are on a mobile device" -- but even that is hard to read on an iPhone.
    Thanks for your comments.

  • Flash Web Photo Gallery Auto Play

    Hello!
    I'm using the Flash - Gallery 1 that came with Photoshop CS2. Is there a (hopefully easy) way to get the gallery to automatically play the slideshow when a user visits the page (instead of clicking the play button)?
    Thanks!
    Sonya

    Sonya,
    Unfortunately it can't be set through the options-but it can be done.
    It's is not too hard, but you do need Flash.
    The source files for the web galleries are generously posted for downloading at:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=2960
    In the _as folder there is a text file named coreFuntions.as. Near the top there is a listing of GLOBAL VARs. Change the line that reads: _global.showPlaying = false;
    to
    _global.showPlaying = true;
    save and you're almost there.
    Launch the Gallery1.fla and Publish (or test). It should produce a gallery.swf that you can drop into your original gallery folder (with the other controlling files.

  • Removing Flash Gallery From Web Site

    I recently created and uploaded an LR flash gallery to my web site. Although I previewed it, once it was up I noticed something I didn't like and wanted to remove the whole gallery. When I go to the site I see my original file is gone and the gallery has been split into little component files, flash, pictures, etc.
    Is there a simple method to remove the gallery or do I have to do it piece by piece?

    IT should all be in its own subfolder (best way). then all you have to do is delete that whole folder.

  • Non Display Of Flash Gallery In Web Preview

    Using lightroom 2.4 I created a flash gallery. I exported it to my local website. I created a link from the home page in Web Expression 2. When I follow the link I get a blank "design" screen in both Firefox and IE previews. There is no problem with an HTML gallery. As far as I know I have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player loaded correctly.

  • Lightroom 1.0 and 1.1/Web Module/Flash gallery (default) remote viewing issue fixed.

    Background: We experienced problems remotely viewing the Lightroom auto-generated Lightroom Templates/Flash gallery (default) template.
    <br />On our local PC running XP SP2, the gallery works just fine. When uploaded, it doesn't work anymore when visited remotely from another PC.
    <br />
    <br />Fix: We found out that the top of each html file contained the code:
    <br />
    <br /><?xml version="1.0"?>
    <br />"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"&gt;
    <br />
    <br />Those are document type declarations saying the code in the page is XML and follows the Strict XHTML guidelines as defined by w3.org; it tells the browser how to interpret the code that follows.
    <br />Our guess was the code used doesn't follow strict XHTML guidelines, and it broke the page by preventing the browser from displaying the rest of the html--perhaps a problem with our server too? Anyway, deleting this header fixed the problem.
    <br />
    <br />It worked for us. Dunno whether other users experienced the same problem. Anybody reported/noticed the same issue? Any feedback/suggestion/interpretation? Has this been reported to Adobe before?

    Oups, the code disappeared when I posted; here it is (added extra _ after > and before < and one space in between ht tp to freeze it!):
    <_?xml version="1.0"?_>
    <_!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
