Web Gallery Albums

Any clue how to delete albums from Web Gallery/My Gallery?

You can get to your Gallery folder by either logging into .Mac and going to your iDisk or from Finder/Go/iDisk/My iDisk/Web/Sites. Open the "_gallery" folder and delete what you want.

  • Web gallery album is still there after deleting it in Aperture 2.1

I deleted a web gallery album in Aperture because I had Stacks turned on and not all images loaded, but the album is still on the web gallery site and I can't figure out how to delete it from there. Any help?
    Thanks,
    Mike T.

In the Finder Choose: Go>>idisk>my idisk
navigate to the _gallery folder inside the Sites folder then trash the gallery that you wish to delete.

  • IWeb not showing .Mac web gallery albums in Web Widgets pull down menu

I'm trying to update a webpage and insert a .Mac Web gallery album using the Web Widgets pull down menu. The problem is the menu isn't offering/showing ALL of my .Mac Web Gallery albums. It shows some and I can insert those, however, it isn't showing all of them. I've tried refreshing the list in iPhoto, but it still won't show in iWeb '08. I've even given it several days to refresh, but to no avail.
    Any suggestions?

Nice, didn't think of that. I went into iPhoto and, in the Settings, changed it from being only viewable to restricted groups. I opened it up to "Everyone" and, back in iWeb, there it appeared in the Web Widget pull down menu. I then inserted the album and published the web page. I then went back to iPhoto re-instated the restrictions in the Advanced settings.
    Thanks.

  • How to get .mac web gallery albums on iphone?

hi just wondered if and how to view web gallery albums on an iphone without using safari to log into.mac. thought there may be a way of an automatic sync between the iphone and .mac web gallery?
i know you can send photos to the web gallery but dont know how to do it the other way around if that makes any sense?
    thanks rob

    One thing to check out.
If the person who created the .mac web gallery allowed for downloads, then you could download the photos to iphoto then sync to the iphone.
Otherwise you would need to open the .mac gallery in safari.
    Hope this helps.

  • Removing a web gallery album, even after the iphoto album has been deleted.

I have just created an Album of photos in iphoto, and then published the album to the web gallery. I was able to view the album via the web and my wife did too on a windows based laptop. I then went back to add 2 more photos to the album in iphoto, then again went back to see if they were uploaded too. One was and one wasnt, then the second one did after a couple of minutes. Now I have deleted the albums I created in iphoto, but I still have the link to go to the web gallery site and the album is still online with 24 photos. How can I remove the photos from my online gallery.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help. I'm still in honeymoon stage but of course loving my new imac. and .mac account.

I think your best bet is to post your questions on the iPhoto discussions. More people will see them there.
I have been using the web albums for some time. I have merely started iPhoto, then select the web gallery album you wish to delete. Click on the "Web Gallery" icon located at the bottom right hand side of the window. When it opens click on "advanced". You will see the option to hide the gallery on the web.
Now you should be able to go back to the album in iPhoto and delete it.

  • The Elusive Web Gallery Albums

I have my iPhone, I have iLife 08, I have made several galleries, the two I want to use with my iPhone both have the send by email and allow to upload. On my phone when I select a picture then tap Send to Web Gallery it goes to the new page with Web Gallery Albums on the top and a cancel button. Below that is the words loading and the spinning track ball. I have let it sit for hours, I have restored even and still not one gallery shows up. Anyone have any ideas? and yes my .mac account is listed in the email section.

    Does anyone have an idea?

  • Remove one version from web gallery album

I created a mobile me gallery in aperture. AFter doing it, i decided to add copyright to the images in photoshop. I did this with apertures ability to edit with an external editor. I completed it all and went back into to aperture happy to se there were now two versions of each photo, one with the change, one without.
However, on the mobile me gallery folder, each picture has a stack of two pictures, one with the edit one without etc. How can I remove the original from the mobile me gallery but keeping it in aperture?
i seem to remember seeing an option when I right clicked somewhere and I could choose to remove an image from an album, but I can't find this..
    Regards

Ok i tried that an the version I wanted got a tick at the top centre of the thumbnail. I synced the gallery but it didn't really work.
The thumbnails in the web gallery have the copyright in the bottom right but when you click it to load the large version, it loads without the copyright.
    Have a look
    http://gallery.me.com/alexdlyons#100265&view=grid&bgcolor=black&sel=3
I unstacked one of the photos and found the remove from album button. I tried this and I was left with the one I wanted, so I did it to all of them. I tried to sync it but no joy. Now I am left with the original project in bits as there are some versions with weird names, some with copyright etc and with OCD it is wrecking my head!!
    How can I fix this??
    Regards

  • Cannot delete .mac web gallery albums

Strange thing has recently happened to me. I deleted two albums both from the album pane and under the web gallery pane in Iphoto but the albums have not been deleted from my .mac web gallery. Is there any way to sync iphoto and the web gallery so that the albums are deleted? In the past this has always happened automatically for me.

Mount your iDisk, go to the Web/Sites folder and delete the contents of the _gallery folder. That should do it.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Syncing Web Gallery album

Prior to upgrading to iPhone 2.0 and iTunes 7.7, I could select a Web Gallery to sync to iPhone from within iTunes. Now my Galleries don't show up for me to select and sync.
My only guess is that they just want you to go directly to the Web Gallery using your browser. Given that I have a 1st gen, some of my larger Galleries take a long time to load when I'm on the cell network. Because of this I like to have my Galleries cached on my iPhone.
My only work-around is to create a standard album and manually transfer pics to both albums when I want to add photos. That will work, but I'm kind of bummed that they changed the way this works.
    Cheers!

    I absolutely second that!
I filter my key photos to Web Galleries, available to friends and family across the globe. So far I have synced the same selections of photos over to my iPhone, so that I can show these when offline, for example when overseas, in planes etc.
Is this really a lost functionality?? If so, it is time to file a functionality request with Apple!

  • Web Gallery Album image not appearing

I just posted my first album to My Gallery with posted 08, pretty cool.
I selected specific images within an Event and posted them to Web Gallery. The images posted fine however on the My Gallery Page the album has no thumbnails associated with it. Does anyone have a recommendation of how I could get them to appear?
Also, is there any way to view the images within multiple events? I want to be able to drag images from one event to another. Thanks

Look at Dvents as the basic grouping of photos from one shoot. Mike N. (nahyun... described Events as well as I've seen in this post.
If you want to group photos based on other characteristics use Albums. One photo can be in multiple albums and still have only one file in the library.
    Do you Twango?

  • Web gallery albums disappear

The problem: An album in iphoto web gallery has just disappeared from my iphoto program. I created a replacement album in web gallery but now when I go to my web gallery I see the old one and the new one. I cannot delete the old one as it does not show on my dot mac account and in iphoto. How do I delete the old one? Why do these albums disappear from iphoto in the first place.

How do I delete the old one?
THis is the easy qustion - go to your iDisk and delete the gallery -- finder ==> iDisk ==> web ==> sites ==> _gallery
Why do these albums disappear from iphoto in the first place.
    That is the hard question.
First be sure you are using the latest version of iphoto - 7.1.3
Second be careful not to make changes to the gallery while it is updating (this should NOT be a problem but appears to sometimes cause problems)
Third report to Apple -- iPhoto menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback
Because of this issue (although have not experienced it myself) I suggest creating standard albums for all galleries and doing all of your changes before creating the gallery - this avoids some problems and gives you a back up in case you need to regenerate the gallery due to a problem

  • Duplicate thumbnails in my Web Gallery album

I just upgraded to iLife/iPhoto 08 and I made a web gallery with some selected images. All the images are on the actual website (the link), but in iPhoto the thumbnails for those images show up a duplicates (in some cases there are 5 of the same thumbnail). the total number of photos lists 220 when there are really only 52. What is going on? Anyone have a similar problem?
I've tried quitting, restarting, clearing cache (wondering if it was my browser that was not correct).

    Rick:
Mount your iDisk and go to the Web/Sites/-gallery folder. See how many folders are located in there. You might have to delete them all via the Finder and republish your galleries again.
By the way, your 112 Tokyo gallery is listed at 101 photos when I visit. Wonderful pictures.
    Do you Twango?

  • How to auto update a web gallery from an iphoto album?

how do you set-up an iphoto album to automatically update a web gallery album?
so if i add a new photo to an existing album on my computer that has a corresponding web gallery album that web gallery will know to add that photo
i'm trying to keep the web gallery album in sync with the same named album on my computer

That is not a current feature of iPhoto - you will need to add the photo to both the album and the web gallery album
To suggest to Apple - iPhoto menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback
