Web gallery- can't find mine in iphoto

I have 2 .Mac accounts and most of my galleries are on my primary account but one is on my other account. The only way I can access the secong account's gallery is by logging in at .mac as the second account. The problem is i want to edit this gallery and i can see it in iPhoto. I've logged out of primary and logged into secondary but no luck. Please help me.

Some friends uploaded some pics to a Mobile Me web gallery that I set up using iPhoto. Some of the pics are the right file size on the web site, but are only zero KB when I look at the photo in the MobileMe section of iPhoto.
Any ideas?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder. See if that will correct the problem.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

Iphoto is a different paradigm than you're used to. I don't understand why you are trying to transfer your edited photos back to an external disk.

You have to tap on the word library.

Adobe Web Gallery- can't get more than 10 images to show up

I am trying to create a Web Gallery from within Bridge (CS4), but I'm not having any luck getting more than 10 images to show up when I create the Gallery, even though I'm selecting nearly 50 images (all in the same folder) that I'd like to be in the Gallery. Does anyone know if there's a limit to the number of images that can be used in an AWG? I can't seem to find ANY documentation that sheds light on that subject. All I know is that no matter WHAT I do, I can only get Bridge to create a Gallery with TEN images!! Very frustrating. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Assuming the obvious that in Bridge content panel you have selected all the
files you want in the web galery
First try a purge cache for folder using the menu Tools/purge cache for
folder when having Bridge pointed to the problem folder.
Second try a reset preferences with option key while restarting Bridge.
I wish that were the case - it's only outputing up 10 images...

[web module] can't find my existing web module !

Hi, I got a strange problem...
I give to oc4j my enterprise archive "next.ear" containing a web module "config.war" who is an exploded archive, so it's a directory.
In my application.xml, I got that :
     <module>
          <web>
               <web-uri>config.war</web-uri>
               <context-root>config</context-root>
          </web>
     </module>
I have traced OC4J and take a look to "C:\oc4j_extended_101310\j2ee\home\applications\next\" which is the directory containing the "next.ear" unpacked.
So, in that directory, I can see my web module "config.war" which is a directory ...
BUT, when deploying, I got that error :

OracleAS does not officially support exploded archive deployment.
Can you try to package your war as a real war an check if it is working correctly?
btw: if you rename the deployed directory config.war to config i think it will work, but not supported...

Macbook Air can not find my wifi. It detects all the neighbouring ones but can not find mine.

Hi. I have a new (5months old) Macbook Air that used to work fine. Until now...
I went for a 2 months trip and left my macbook at home, so it was not is use for the past 2 months. When I turned it on a couple of days ago, the date and time was messed up (automatic setting showed me 01.01.2012.) and the bigger issue, it can not find my wifi network. It detects all the neighbouring networks but mine. I have tried setting up a new network, troubleshooting, etc, but nothing has worked. My iPhone and my other laptop (hp) can find the wifi without any problem. The network settings have not changed either...
Any idea how to solve this?

The problem is, I can't even open the network preference pane, as it is not responding.
Earlier I wanted to log into iCloud - it started loading and now it is completely 'frozen'. I can not close it, I can not quit system preferences and I also can not restart my macbook (it won't let me until I quit system preferences).
I am sure the solution is very easy, but I have no idea what to do

Web browser can not find my iweb page

I need some help. I published my website onto the internet,and for a while it was accessible. But since I have my own domain name, I am unable to view it on the web. Every-time I try to view my web-page an error message appears saying "safari cant open the page because it can't find the server"

I'm having a similar problem to the one below. MM is hosting my website through a personal domain name (Doteasy is the domain provider). The url of my site is www.saginor.com. The mobile me version is http://web.me.com/shiplair. When I type into my browser http://web.me.com/shiplair/Saginor.com I get to the site. But when I simply type in saginor.com I get the message, "Safari cant open the page because it can't find the server". I tried the suggestions you gave below and none worked. I also checked with my domain provider, and the forward destination is indeed listed as http://web.me.com/shiplair. I checked the settings in my MM account and the domain is indeed listed as www.saginor.com. Then I tried "publish all to mobile me" in iweb. It didn't work. Trying to organise video clips but can not find them in iphoto under Movies but do appear idvd under movies.How can I get into iphoto movies section to edit and organise the video clips

In iphoto '08 in my Library section "Movies" doesn't show as a seperate folder so to find my video c;ips I have to go through 13,000 photos and yet in iDVD they do show up in the media area. How can I edit them and put them into specific files?

Tell me if a video has been recorded on its side! or even upside down, can you turn it round the proper way?
If you have Quicktime Pro you can rotate the video. There's a plugin for iMoive that can rotate clips. Go to MacUpdate.com and do a search for "rotate video" and you'll find several apps that can do the job and the plugin: MacUpdate: Search for '+rotate +video'

YES!!!
I finally managed to recover my iPhoto library!
But it was not easy. I had to hack into the database file to put up things right.
After a significant amount of trial-and-error, here is the procedure I came to, which finally worked for me (use at your own risk):
0. Make sure you make enough backups so as to revert to the previous state if something goes wrong!
1. Make a copy of your iPhoto Library [Show Package Contents]/Database/apdb/Library.apdb to your desktop.
This file contains most of the data involved for managing your iPhoto data.
2. Open this file using a SQLite database manager.
I used Navicat 9.1, which has nice import-export features. For direct editing, Base 2.0 is may be easier.
3. Open the table RKMaster.
This table contains all records for the individual pics of your library.
4. Correct the path of each of your pic files in the imagePath column to their current filepath.
This contains the path of your pic files at the time they were imported, and is not updated by iPhoto even though you have moved your pic files somewhere else.
If you have several thousands of paths to correct, a good idea is to export this column to a text file (also including the modelId column for referencing), and to correct paths using the substring Search&Replace function of your favorite text editor. Be sure to re-import the corrected data properly using the modelId column as references.
5. If needed, correct in the same manner the content of the fileVolumeUuid column to the value of the drive currently containing your picfiles.
If needed, obtain this value considering a pic which was recently imported from that drive.
6. If your drive name was modified, also correct its name in the name column of the RKVolume table.
Identify the proper record by considering its uuid previously obtained.
7. If you're happy with your work, quit the database managing program and put Library.apdb back in its original location inside your iPhoto Library.
Keep the older somewhere in case something goes wrong.
8. Run iPhoto to see if your work is successful!
At this point, you might consider rebuilding the Photo Library (hold alt-cmd while launching iPhoto) and choose Repair the iPhoto Library Database (Be sure to leave the Rebuild the iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup unchecked!). This might correct some possible unconsistencies resulting from your edits. Also, a good thing might be to rebuild all thumbnails. If iPhoto does not bug you for locating files during that process, you have possibly done your work right! If not, back to step 1.
As said, this worked for me, with no visible inconsistencies or side effects to be noticed in the behavior of iPhoto (at least for now). But possibly some knowledgable people might comment and improve that process, and some database script guru might also help automating this. Please comment.
Lessons learned (How I understand the things as far as I know):
A. Library.apdb stores the initial drive and path of the pic files at the time they were imported. This is not modified as the files are moved around.
B. Some other data (BLOBs?) is used to track the files at their actual location. Therefore, it seems OK to move the pic files after they were imported.
C. Unfortunately, this other data is broken if the file is recreated (even with same content and location), for example with a file-based backup and restore (Time Machine).
D. In that case, iPhoto is unable to recover the file if its current drive and path does not match the one when the file was imported, stored in the database. Also there is no mechanism in iPhoto to correct this data.
E. Therefore, it is very important to import pic files in iPhoto only when these are already in their final location! If not, your iPhoto Library won't survive a TimeMachine backup and restore! (Possibly, a block-based drive backup could work... I don't know).
F. ...And Apple should really, really fix this issue! (By correcting the stored filepath and drive to the current file location at least when the database is repaired, and by offering at least some basic file reconnection options).

Hi: I like the DW web Photo Gallery feature, with some
changes. What I've done in the past is generated the html file and
then gone back in to each page invidiually to make the changes in
layout that I wanted. Is there a way I can make a change right to
the code so that I don't have to make so many changes to each
indivi. page?
I'm not a programmer, but if someone can steer me in the
right direction I might be able to do it.

Financial Reporting Web Server can't find report server.

Hi all,
I've installed Financial reporting print server, report server, and scheduler on a separate server from the Web Server installed with Workspace. I can create and run a report with FR Studio and have saved it to the Workspace server.
When I run the report on the Workspace server I get the following error:
Your Financial Reporting Web Server is unable to locate the report server server1.na.ds.monsanto.com:8299. Please contact your administrator.

I have the same configuration on two other servers and things are working fine. How do I tell the Web Server (server1) where the report server is. Why is it looking on the server1 server?

I've run the configuration utility on the server where I have installed the report server and compared it to the report server that works. I looks like logically I have things set up correctly.
The "Configure Financial Reporting" asks me where the "Workspace Web Application" is and that is set correctly and is working because I can get into studio and connect to the report server it lets me design and run and save the report. Studio saves the report to the correct workspace server so I know FR knows about the workspace server.
I ran the config utility on the Workspace web server and selected "Configure Web Server". The second screen lists all of the components and "Financial Reporting" is one of the components. This is also set up logically identically to the server pair that is working. All of the components are set up on the web server to point at the web server.
So I still don't understand how to tell workspace to look at the report server. The report server is finding the workspaces web server just fine.
All services are up and running.

RMI over SSL under Web Start can't find trusted certificate

I have implemented RMI over SSL to get a Java EJB Client application talking to a JRun server over SSL. It works fine from the command line, but when I try to run it as a Web Start application, I get
java.security.cert.CertificateException: Couldn't find trusted certificate

I am using a test certificate, not one from a bona fide CA.
I have tried putting the key store file in one of the jars used by the application, and adding:
<argument>-Djavax.net.ssl.trustStore=jssecacerts</argument>
and
<argument>-Djavax.net.ssl.trustStore=jar:http://ip/app/xxx/lib/JarWithCacs.jar!/jssecacerts</argument>
to no avail.
If I copy the jssecacerts to Web Start's jre/lib/security directory, it works fine.
I have seen other postings that say to use keytool to update the JRE used by Web Start, but that kind of defeats the purpose of Web Start: zero admin client. I can't touch each user's machine.
I have seen other posts saying to implement a more relaxed trust manager, but that doesn't seem right either.
I am using JDK 1.4.1_02b6 on Win2k. This should be irrelevant: JRun 4 sp1a.
Is there a way to specify the jssecacerts file in the jnlp file so Web Start will recognize it?

1) Package the truststore file in the client JAR file
2) Add code to the client to copy the truststore from the JAR file to the client hard drive
3) Add code to the client to set the truststore properties to refer to the file on the client hard drive
