Web Gallery Feedback Option

I'm using PhotoShop 8:
I want to use the Automate/Web PhotoGallery on my website in a separate folder as a tool for clients to review image comps.
I'd like to use the template that includes the feedback option, but when I upload the folder and files to my server all the functionality of the gallery works except the feedback/approval form.
How do I get this to work.
THX

With FireFox Tools-Options-Content and make sure 'Enable JavaScript' is checked.
There may be another reason it doesn't work though. I no longer have CS but a quick test with the CS2 version works for me ( local, didn't test on server ).

  • Web Gallery Hide Options

How can I have a Web Gallery Album open with the options at the top not showing?

Here's a work-around: Embed your .Mac Web Gallery album page directly into a web page. The instructions to do this in iWeb are here:
    http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=2007111620013523&mode=print
    ...then +Insert > Shape > Rectangle+
Now change the rectangle's dimensions and position it over whatever parts of the Web Gallery you want to hide and color-fill it black.

  • Web Gallery Viewable Option

Is it possible to make a web gallery by more than one user. If not what is new here. For only one person was also possible with old iWeb buy puting a password to the photo gallery page. This was the only thing why I bought iLife 08 and it's doesnt work.

Aassign a user name and password to that gallery and then give them to just who you want to access the gallery online?
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Web Gallery in iWeb

I inserted some Web Gallery in the iWeb page. When I click the link, the the displayed the Web Gallery doesn't have the feature of the stand alone Web Gallery, not option for Download, Upload, and password protection is gone too.
Is there anyway to insert a Web Gallery in iWeb without loosing the features?
    Thanks

I found that if I passworded a gallery first Iweb would not see it. If I published first then went back, passworded it and re-published it it was seen and was passworded.
It's a bit odd as it asked for a user name and password. entering the same name it both areas worked. The other options appear to work, but as always do not totally prevent someone from taking the photos.

  • Web Gallery and Client Feedback

    Hello,
I'm using the Web Gallery in Bridge to quickly upload images to my clients and have them choose which ones they want.  The problem I'm having is that they view the image, then have to write the numbers/names down for each, then either write it down again in an email or call me.  It would be much easier to have a solution where the client highlights each image they want,(or write comments/questions) and then presses a button (in the gallery) that would either send me an email or something telling me what they want, thus automating the process.
Is there a way to do this, or has it already been done?  I'm searching with no luck so far.  Thanks!

    Victoria,
I would argue that a relatively high percentage of professional photographers would like to have this feature to be able to get feedback from clients. I don't agree that it would be generally considered bloat. Among commercial photographers, photo-journalists, and probably wedding photographers I would argue that the ability to create a web gallery that facilitates feedback from a client, or an editor's desk, has a greater level of value than does having 20 different gallery layouts with various transitions between slides, and cozy color palettes. I do see the value of that variety, but I'd like to see a little more utility also.
Even Photoshop, up to version CS3, had the ability to make a gallery with feedback option. Each image in the gallery had a text box that essentially acted like a Submit button. All comments a viewer made were compiled in an email and the comments were tagged with the image number/name. The gallery was cramped and ugly, but the feature was very useful.
While the TTG Client Response Gallery plug-in looks like it fits the bill, it also requires more of a learning curve than I would like. It also requires making sure my ISP has the correct version of PHP and the correct type of Apache server – certainly more than a basic HTML solution.

  • LR web gallery w/ client feedback function?

Probably been asked before, but I can't find it in the search feature, so sorry in advance if this bugs you.
I'm a 20 year user of Photoshop but new to LR. I shot a project for which I am using LR to do my selects and basic adjustments. I need to put my adjusted images in front of my clients with a web gallery that would allow them to make their selects, tag the files with ranking, and leave text comments if they wish. There are about 2000 images in this project.
Photoshop used to have a (barely usable) automated web gallery that allowed for client feedback in text. Is there something like this in LR? Is there a light box function in a web gallery?
Is it built in, our do I have to spend more money to get something that should have been in the product in the first place? (sorry for the mini-rant)

  • Can't get "Send to web gallery" option to work on the iPhone.

I have been trying to get the "Send to web gallery button" to work on my iPhone for a few weeks now. I managed to get it to work once. I was directed to delete the gallery on iPhoto ’08 and then recreate it and make sure my iPhone was not connected to wifi and wait 1 hour, it worked once… Then never again.
I have an ongoing case open with Apple Care but there does not seem to be any definitive answer on how to get the option to work properly. One representative says that it should word fine, the other says that that feature was disabled in the last patch, (I had it working once under the current iPhone version 1.0.2 so I knew he was misinformed) I followed this Apple document and am still unable to get the feature to work: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306272
The Apple Care representative told me that the official Apple doc listed above was incorrect and that there was a better way to get the gallery to work and directed me to a Mac World Mac 911 article to resolve the issue http://www.macworld.com/weblogs/mac911/2007/08/iphonetowebgallery/index.php
I insisted that this was a work around and that the actual “send to web gallery” button should display on the iPhone the Apple Care representative told me that I was incorrect and that the Mac 911 article was the only way to get the option to work.
I actually met and spoke with the author Christopher Breen last weekend, and he agreed that this was a “work around” and that the "send to web gallery option on the iPhone should work. All I had to do was insure that I had my dot Mac account set up on the iPhone, iPhoto ’08 installed, a web gallery created in iPhoto and the option “Allow photo uploading by email” checked and published and all should be good in the world. Unfortunately, I just can’t seem to get it to work?
I am not trying to “bash” Apple I would just like to get this option to work properly. Does anyone have any suggestion on how to get this option to work?

It seems to be an ongoing issue the last couple of days..there's a few posts already discussing it in the forum. I found that if I sent the photos from my verizon acct on the iphone, it uploaded to the gallery fine..so it's a .mac account problem i think. Try it through another acct and I don't think you'll have a problem. It had always worked fine for me sending from my mac account until this weekend.

  • Web Gallery Slide Shows:  Music and Captions an option?

The title sums up the question. Can web gallery slide shows (on my .Mac account) be made to look and sound like the slide shows i'm running in iphoto - with captions and audio?

    Mark:
You can get the captions to be displayed in the web gallery by running this script to move the description to the title field before you publish the gallery. After the gallery is published you can change the title back to the file name with the Photos->Batch Change menu option.
Have you considered using iWeb to create a photo page/slideshow and add the music to it. Here's a test page of such a setup. Be sure to read all of the comments on the linked page as there's a minor error noted in the script that is easy to correct.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. • Web gallery with feedback, and the viewer don´t sign in.

I´v noticed that if I´m making a web gallery in Lightroom 6 and not in the web module, but a collection that I´v synced, then I can share it on the web.
But if my client wants to comment or mark a photo then the client need to sign in to Adobe.
Can it be done without a sign in?
I would be so nice to have feedback on my shared web galleries without the other person have to sign in.

Create a spare Adobe account for yourself - eg [email protected] - and tell them to use it to login

  • Where is the display filenames option in web gallery export?

adobe bridge CS4, as i'm understanding this feature went away in later versions.
Just trying to export a web gallery that will include the file name beneath of it.
I thought the feature was non-existnant so I have spent a couple hunded bucks and about two years trying third party options, I prefer that the web gallery export look exactly like bridge.
in reading through these forums again, i see mention of to simply check "Show File Names" when I create a Web Gallery.
I cannot find this option anywhere.
just want to have web gallery with the names of the files beneath the images, if it were searchable, and could be organized by alpha-numerical order just like bridge, that would be what I wish.

adobe bridge CS4, as i'm understanding this feature went away in later versions.
In CS6 it is still there, only under the Template 'HTML Gallery'
Don't have experience myself with Web Gallery so no idea if this has changed but believe it has always been this way, maybe they changed the order of the templates?

  • Hiding options in the web gallery in iWeb?

How do I hide the options in the web gallery in my iWeb? I want people to see my images but dont want to show the Download or the Subscribe buttons.
Is there anyway to turn these off.

Just to be clear, I inserted the photos from my MobileMe Gallery homepage and not from iphoto.
Sorry, the above isn't particularly clear to me. By "MobileMe Gallery homepage" do you mean via http://me.com or http://gallery.me.com/membername ?
Into which iWeb template did you insert your photos? ...For example, the Photos page template or the +My Albums+ page template, etc.
How exactly did you insert the photos from your MobileMe Gallery homepage? ...Did you click on the Web Widgets button in iWeb's lower toolbar and select +MobileMe Gallery+ and an +Album name+ ?
If you don't mind providing the URL of your iWeb page and MobileMe Gallery, we can then see what you're referring to.

  • How do I disable Download Option on .Mac Web Gallery

I created my pages on .Mac Web Gallery with iweb from my iphoto albums yesterday. At that time I chose to enable viewers to download these photos. I have changed my mind and now want to disable the downloading option. How do I do this with out having to delete and then upload the pages all over again.

If you created the gallery in Iphoto open iphoto, select the gallery, click on "settings" at the bottom, make the changes and re-publish.

  • How to disable "Tell a Friend" option on Web Gallery

Is it possible to disable the "Tell a Friend" option in order to prevent visitors from forwarding the web gallery site to others?
    Thanks.

As far as I know, you cannot disable the ability for a user to view source from any browser without O/S or browser chrome level access. If you are creating screens for an external audience you are out of luck.
If you are creating screens for use in a controlled internal environment, then the view source option of IE might be controllable using windows registry keys.

  • Options for getting movie to .Mac Web Gallery?

I have a Flip Video Cam that I have been using lately to take short clips of various family events that I want to put on my .Mac Web Gallery. The ease and quality in using iMovie 08 is terrible, so I'm wondering what my other options are. I've noticed iMovie 06 doesn't have an option to Export or Share to .Mac. Is this possible in FCE?
    What do other people use?

You could complete the movie in im6 or FCE and export it to your required format, add it to an iphoto album you have made especially and added a photo or two, publish, then remove the photos.
Personally im08 quality isn't an issue for me and I use it all the time.

  • Is there really an option to get Web Gallery into CC ?

I see the posts about the bridge option to put a web gallery script there, but I can't get it to work.  How about the other way, going through Photoshop in the "Automate" menu ?  I remember installing the things needed when we went to CS5, but am not seeing anything about it for CC.
    Thanks anyone !

None of those plugins for cs5 such as Web Photo Gallery work in photoshop cc.
If you install Bridge CC, install the Adobe Output Module for Bridge CC, then you can do Web Galleries from there.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/kb/install-output-module-bridge-cc.html
If you have Lightroom that does Web Photo Galleries as well.
