Web Gallery / Mobile Me - issues with IE 6?

Hi,
I have uploaded my latest set of photos on the web gallery. But when I want to see the web gallery with IE6, it says - "We recommend a newer browser" and it lists the three browsers - IE7, FF 1.5 or higher and safari 3.0 or higher. There is a button that says Use current browser and a checkbox that says "do not warn me again". Even if I click the checkbox, the browser does not load the gallery page.
Do we really need IE7 now to view gallery? I do have FF and that seems to work fine, but my folks are still very IE savvy.
Is this a bug or is this expected? At least the browser should continue loading the page, even after you check the "Don't warn me again" checkbox and click on the "Use current browser" button.
Anyone else seeing this issue?

I haven't seen much on Mobile me yet - here is the apple page for mobile me on a PC - http://www.apple.com/mobileme/features/pc.html - and in the upper right hand side there is a link to the tutorials - you might get more information there

Droid Razr 4G Mobile Hotspot Issues with PS3

I am hoping someone else had this issue and has been able to resolve. I just got a Droid Razr this week, and I have the 4G mobile hotspot feature. I am trying to replace my slow DSL line at home, and most things in my house have tested fine (Internet access, etc.). However, my PS3 seems to have some issues, particularly with online gaming and testing the network connection. The game I am testing now is COD MW3. I thought maybe something like IP ports were blocked on the phone or 4G network, but searching online seems to indicate that isn't an issue. If I reconnect my PS3 back to the DSL, online gaming and network tests work just fine. Move it back to 4G and the game won't connect and the network tests don't complete.
I don't see any features on the phone that would indicate that you can modify any firewall like settings. Anyone else experience similar issues? Thanks in advance!

I'm having the same issue with my Samsung 4g hotspot as well. I can get onto the PSN, download game updates just fine, but when I'm in a MW3 lobby, it just sits there and eventually times out and a XMB message displays that i've been disconnect from the wireless access point. Anyone have any ideas?

Web Template Nav Block issue with a characteristic

Hi folks,
We have an issue with one of our web templates. In one of the navigation blocks there are some characteristics, for example, some are like as below.
G/L Account
Asset
Cost Center
Order
Network
WBS Element
Cost Center (Accoung string -correct object)
Sales document
The second object from bottom supposed to show as 'Account String' since the char is accounting string itself, insted, it is showing as Cost Center which is not correct.
The web template has 'personalization' checked. It is based on a BEx query.
This issue is happening with one user id. For other users (using their logon credentials), it is showing correctly.

The parameter ID column is blank for this user.
However, the same query displays same for other users.
By the way, we are on BW 3.5 now.

Flash web gallery - style.xml start with slideshow in play?

When creating a web gallery with Lightroom, using a default flash template, a style.xml sheet is created. Does anyone know the line of code in that style.xml that sets the gallery to load with the slideshow in play mode?

Can it even be set to do this?
The only code in the style.xml that looks like it might be realted is line 12 <playOptions playMode="pause"/>, changing that to "play" does nothing.

BO Mobile Reporting - Issue with prompts

Hi All,
I am working on hypelrink reports for mobile, i have two reports main report and child report
from the main report i am sending the prompts for current month (CM) and previous month (PM)like (CM =9, PM = 8)
the child report is detailed comparison report for the selected CM and PM (as prompts)
when i am validating in the infoview on any PC, the hyperlinking is working perfectly and able to get the data properly
but when i am check the same in blackberry mobile i am not getting the result- but the values are passing to the child report (but corrsesapnding to the months i am checking revenue, which is blank value)

Cannot use min-max-close buttons in top of screen after loading new web page, also has issues with videos. Does work fine oddly after shrinking the window and re-opening it from the taskbar...

Issues with firefox where it wouldn't respond to above mentioned tasks, its like its clicking through the browser sometimes to screens behind it, or with drop down menus, it opens the menu up, but you click an option and it'll click on whatever the drop down menu is cover up. My computer has been running rather ragged lately which makes me think its a virus, I do have anti-virus and have tried a couple of programs to clean whatever it is up. I've also tried reinstalling firefox and that doesn't seem to help either.

In Firefox 4 and later Safe mode disables extensions and disables hardware acceleration.

Try to disable hardware acceleration.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

Question Marks in Web Gallery using LRG One (with PayPal) on Mac

I have an issue when using LightroomGalleries.com's otherwise excellent "LRG One with PayPal" gallery template in the LR Web module on my Macs. The template produces a drop-down menu to display unit pricing, in a range of currency options. When I set the currency symbol to anything but the default USD/ $, I get a ? symbol in a diamond shape instead of the currency symbol. (I need to use £ for GBP, but it does the same if I select EUR or Japanese Yen.)
This shows up in the LR Web Module UI, and also when previewed in Safari. Likewise when exported to desktop or remote server and opened in Safari.
It does not happen with other browsers - I've tried Opera, OmniWeb, Firefox, Camino, Mozilla and even IE 5.2 for Mac. All of these display the currency symbol as £
I've posted on LightroomGalleries and Luminous Landscape Forums, but have not found anyone able to advise how I can stop this happening in LR and Safari (though Admin at the former made some suggestions - see http://lightroomgalleries.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=51 , and it seems clear it's a Mac issue and something to do with UTF-8 encoding issues).
Just wondered if anyone on this forum might be able to suggest a way forward... I'm not a coder, but I'm willing to try anything not too complicated in the way of file editing.

Here is a modified version including an Euros and an UK Pounds and a Japan Yens module working fine.
Ive modified the galleryMaker file including Euros and UK Pounds and Japan Yens symboles. These instructions were not written in the original files so PayPal used the default currency, i.e. US Dollars.

SharePoint 2013 Anonymous (public) site and Office Web Apps Server 2013 issue with download.aspx

Our organization has a public facing anonymous site in SharePoint 2013 which allows access to documents (docx) in a library. ViewFormsLockdown is activated as we present the documents via CQWP / custom template. We are combating the usual
issue of multiple login prompts when using Internet Explorer when a user accesses said document. We also have tried using the Word Viewer (view only mode) from Office Web Apps Server 2013 which works well, but ...
the problem stems from the fact that users can go the file menu from the word view and choose to download the document (which is what we want), unfortunately it looks like the link redirects via /_layouts/15/download.aspx which also presents a login
prompt. Much has been written out there about doing direct links for documents via /_layouts/download.aspx to address multiple login prompts when the document is opening in word (from IE).
I've tried nearly every combination of recommendations (disabling client integration, browser file handling (permissive/strict), ViewFormsLockdown feature, web.config modifications with options and propfind verbs and more) all to varying levels of success,
but never totally getting rid of the prompt. It has been stated that because the downloads.aspx inherits from Microsoft.SharePoint.ApplicationPages.Download this will not allow anonymous access. We really want to use the word view from the Office
web app and have the file download functionality work from the menu there ... can anyone suggest an alternate fix? I might be wishing but will appreciate any guidance offered ...

10.1.3.3 JDev web service client proxy: Issue with XSD:anySimpleType

One of our Web services XSD elementss has "anySimpleType" as the type:
<xsd:element name="Value" type="xsd:anySimpleType" minOccurs="0" nillable="true"/>
The client proxy is generated using JDev 10.1.3.3. We observed that the corresponding Java object is created with "String" data type:
protected java.lang.String value;
exp.setValue("100");
We need to be able to pass arguments with other simple types as well (E.g. Decimal). We tried changing the auto generated code, but weren't successful.
Any pointers in this regard are much appreciated.

HTML web gallery indexes and bug with Chrome browsers

I'm getting weird results with Lightroom to generate HTML web galleries and viewed on a Chrome browsers where the last image in a row drops down to the next row, making the index look horked? Sample page below, could someone using Chrome let me know if they are seeing the same thing? Tried it on Chrome 40.0.2214.111m running on Win7 and it looks ok.
There is a 6x5 grid of photos, none out of place.
Checked through several different galleries. Firefox 35 and IE 11 all look the same.
I can also check it out on a chromebook tomorrow when at work

NFL Mobile, Having issue with the video feeds.

I have a Motorola Android 2 phone. I've had the NFL Mobile app installed on my phone now for close to a year. I pay the $5.00 a month to get all the streaming video's, NFL Red Zone and NFL Network live feeds. I really like the app and use it almost everyday (as it is great for following your favorite team and team related news when your on the go). Anyways I've been having the same issue now for the last 4 to 5 months. When ever I go to watch a video or live NFL Network feed, the video will play and play all the way through, but the image itself is all scrambled....to the point where you can barely make out what is even going on, on the screen. The audio on the other hand is completely fine. It's really clear, no crackling, etc. It's just the video itself that is not coming through clear. Like I said before it doesn't matter what video it is, it could be archive footage or live streaming feeds. The audio works just fine, you can hear everything going on no problem, but the video looks all.... "scrambled"...I guess that would be the best way to describe it.
If anyone else out there has experienced what I've just explained or knows of a way to fix it I'd love to hear your comments. I would have brought this up sooner but I didn't start experiencing it until after the season was over so it wasn't super important at the time, but with the new season fast approaching, I'd like to get this problem solved asap.
Just a quick note, I have tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it, clearing data, etc. I'm all out of ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, I'm right there with you. I love the NFL and the app works great with this recent exception. It doesn't get much better than the NFL Red Zone, unless you have the NFL Sunday Ticket. Anyways to answer your 1st question, No I'm not having any problem with any other videos. You Tube works great along with any other video playing apps I have. It's only the videos on my NFL Mobile app. Like I said they were working fine up until a few months back, then they decided to stop working. The thing I find weird is, the video still plays, and the audio is great, the picture is just fuzzy and scrambled. It reminds me of when I was younger and "if" your parents had cable but didn't have Cinemax, late at night you could flip the channels back and forth really quick hoping in vein to see a breast for a split second....that's what the screen looks like.....(didn't mean to take it there but that is exactly what the screen reminds me of if you actually sit and watch one of these videos, streaming live or archive).
To answer you second question, I've had the phone for over 3 years so I highly doubt a warranty still exists. Sense I've had my phone for so long I'm way over do for a upgrade which I have several being that I've had my phone for so long. That's not the point though, my phone still works great, I've taken excellent care of it and to top it off the screen still has no scratches. If for some reason I can't resolve this issue getting a new upgraded phone was going to be my next option, but would like to see if I can fix this before going that route.
One thing I was thinking, may have happened, is maybe there was an update and for some reason it caused what is happening with my phone. Sense this has happened I've looked all over the internet to see if other people are experiencing what I've been dealing with and can't seem to find anyone. It seems like my case is isolated to say the least. I've experienced updates changing or effecting my apps in the past that's the only reason I was thinking maybe it had something to do with that, but that is pure speculation.

Office Web Apps Server Name issue with Sharepoint 2013

I have a POC Lab setup for SharePoint/OfficeWebApps with SSL offloading. I am using IIS reverse proxy for my SSL offloader. Most systems can connect to SharePoint and OWA through the Loadbalancer and create documents as desired. The
configuration is as follows:
DNS points:
sharepoint.contoso.com to the reverse proxy address that handles sharepoint.
owa.contoso.com to the reverse proxy address that handles owa.
My OfficeWebApps farm uses an internal and external url of
https://owa.contoso.com and uses ssloffload.
My SPWOPIBinging connects to owa.sharepoint.com (through the reverse proxy) and is configured with the external-https zone.
The name of the OWA server is nyc-owa1.contoso.com.
The issue is as follows:
If I flush my dnscache before connecting to
https://sharepoint.contoso.com, and then use OWA in sharepoint, my client DNS cache will list sharepoint.contoso.com, owa.contoso.com AND nyc-owa1.contoso.com!
Where is is getting the name of the actual owa server?
If I simulate an Internet client that cannot resolve the internal name nyc-owa1.contoso.com, but only the public names of sharepoint.contoso.com and owa.contoso.com, the client cannot successfully edit a new or existing file with OWA, the browser hangs with
Java errors ('SYS' is undefined etc.)
When I add either the real IP address of the server nyc-owa1.contoso.com OR the reverse proxy address for nyc-owa1.contoso.com to a hosts file, the client works normally.
I would like to know how the client is getting the OWA server's name and how to control that behavior.

Web editing: app rec & issue with textedit

I am a TA and so I need to maintain a simple website for a course. All I really need to do at the moment is basic formatting and things like uploading and linking to pdfs. However, I'm having some problems.
1. I've been using Textedit. Here's what I do:
a) open a new textedit file
b) copy and paste source code from the current website into the text file
c) choose "make plain text"
d) edit
e) save two copies as .txt files, say webtext.txt and index.txt
f) using the finder, change the index.txt to index.html
g) upload index.html to the ftp server using the finder's "connect to server" option.
The problem is that when I go back and open webtext.txt, the one that I explicitly saved as plain text, it doesn't display the text anymore, it only displays it the way it would display on the web. So next time I want to edit, I have to go recover the source code from the web. This is very annoying, and what if the webpage were ever lost? Also using textedit is tedious since I have to do every little thing by hand.
So, my first question is, any advice on fixing my workflow with Textedit?
And my second question
2. Can anyone recommend some basic web building software that is simple and intuitive for use on the mac? Preferably free or very cheap. I basically just want it to make it easier for me to format the page and upload links in a folder-tree-structure. I also want to be able to preview what I'm going to get without having to actually upload it to the web.

That is because you failed to check the box in TextEdit preferences called "ignore rich text commands in html."
Ooh, that sounds like it will solve it. I'll try it when I get home later (on a PC right now).
Also set the preferences to Plain Text to start with to avoid wasting time changing it to plain text for every file.
Well, if I didn't have to keep re-creating this file, I wouldn't have to do it each time, so I think this will also be solved by the above.
Also just name your files with .html extension instead of .txt when you save them.
Its been a little while, but I vaguely remember that this didn't work for some reason? I'll have to try it again.
You never have to upload something to the web to preview it. You just give it an .html name on your machine and then use File > Open File on your web browser.
Ok, fair enough. I'd still like to find a program that would help me make the page look a little prettier formatting-wise. Right now all I know how to do is basic text and links.

Kodak Gallery (Ofoto Express) Issues with iPhoto 8

Since uploading iPhoto 8 I haven't been able to get the application that I use for Kodak Gallery (Ofoto Express) to work at all. Anyone else having these issues? If so, do you know a solution or work around??

Ofoto Express is an old app (2004), and it looks like Kodak is not going to update it (not even to put Kodak's name on the app).
Ofoto Express looks for Albums, so it won't find the new iPhoto "events". Good news is that the last event you load is placed in iPhoto's "Recent" folder, which is a folder that Ofoto Express recognizes. So, in iPhoto, select the event that you want to upload to Kodak before loading Ofoto Express.

Muse mobile site/ issues with size...

I created a mobile site with Muse, and it previews just fine... But when I go to an actual phone my content is a third of the page and locked on the left. Why does it look so small? I want it to be the width of the screen... I have the page width set at 320.

You most likely have an empty box or box extended past the right side of the page. Open your mobile template and do a select all to highlight everything on the page and see if you have an empty box off the design.
