Web Host Does not support QuickTIme

I am in the process of having a website built that requires audio streaming. Comparable websites use QT which seems to work well with most browsers and computers.
My web host uses Real Audio. This is causing problems because it doesn't seem to stream as well as QT. Many browers don't have ready access to the plug-ins (both Windows and Mac). I am afraid customers will bypass my files rather than taking the time to figure out how to get the required plug-ins for playback.
Is there anyway I can export QT files into my site without their support, or do I need to cut my losses and look for a QT friendly host?

Ah, then you don't need to be concerned with streaming. It's main benefit is being able to take live data and broadcast it at a rate that makes it great for realtime.
Since you have the luxury of recording, compressing and posting at a later time, then you won't have a problem using QuickTime's Fast Start function. Two tools I'd recommend up front is
Lilipot http://www.qtbridge.com/lillipot/lillipot.html
and
Pageot http://www.qtbridge.com/pageot/pageot.html
Lilipot will allow processing of any QuickTime file to enable Fast Start (play as you download) and Pageot will help when setting up your html to make sure that PC and Macintosh users both get a similar experience.
You should be able to just create an audio file, run Lilipot on it then create an html page with Pageot to test how your solution will work. Post back if you need any other specific information.

For those who run across this therad and haven't taken the effort to make a backup here is another approach that should work.
Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

I don't usually download video from the iTunes store. I had a couple of long plane rides coming up and thought I might have time to watch the Stanford IOS7 programming class. On the plane I discovered this issue which has gone unaddressed since 2011 and has been worsened in Mavericks. in 2011 the advice was to open iTunes' get info pane and click run in 32 bit. That worked at least for some people. In Mavericks, iTunes will not launch in 32 bit.

) you can click on the file in the finder and it will launch in QuickTime. For some reason on the plane I could see the first lecture in the iTunes view but, although I could see all the other lectures in the finder, I could not see the first one.
Ah well, maybe some other year I'll think about getting up to speed on ios7. Heck, maybe by then they will design a decent user experience.

Hi, I have installed vmware 5.5 hypervisor on hp G8 microserver. I have created one vm as windows 2008 R2. I have also install vmware workstation 11 on this vm. In this workstation when I tried to run vmware 5.5 hypervisor I come across "This virtual machine is configured for 64-bit guest operating systems. However, 64-bit operation is not possible. This host does not support Intel VT-x" this statement. Which shows that the host machine does not support virtualization and for that you need to go in Bios and enable it but in present case as host machine is also a vm and you would not find much detail of Bios when you log into the Bios therefore, I am pretty much stuck here. I don't see any information in relation to this. Now my question is:
1. Can we run ESXi inside a vm which is already sitting on ESXi?

I am using Start-Transcript and Stop-Transcript in Orchestrator.

But it is not running. It is always throwing me " This host does not support transcription. " error
in orchestrator as well as in PowerShell ISE.
The same thing is working in PowerShell cmd.
Can any one help me in doing this.

RD120 6447 giving 'host does not support passthrough configuration'

I have an rd120 6447 rack mount lenovo server that gives the message 'host does not support passthrough configuration' when going to advanced hardware settings on an esxi 5.1 installation. Does the rd120 support virtualization features? Is it simply to old to support this or is there a bios option to enable to enable passthrough?

VMWARE host does not support VT

My system is HP Pavillion DM3. I want to run Pi 7.1, when I start Virtual machine I got error 'VMWARE host does not support VT'.
Please suggest me.
PI7.0 server is running my in system, but for PI7.1 these error is showing.
Could you please help me out.

IChat - Host does not support Kerberos authentication

Hi all,
I have been trying but with no success to set up an iChat server on 10.6. Our OS X server is bound to AD and will hopefully be using AD to authenticate the iChat clients. I have followed Apple's guide on commenting out the  section of the c2s.xml file which hasn't solved our problems. Open Directory isn't running as a master it is connected to another directory (our AD directory), and as a test I set up a Wiki server on the same box and this does allow us to authenticate against AD.
The error message we are receiving in iChat is "The host example.com does not support Kerberos authentication. The client is set to use Kerberos, the username format is [email protected] all I think the correct settings.
Under iChat General Settings on the server the Host Domain is example.com, SSL Certificate: No Certificate, Authentication: Any Method, and Enable XMPP server-to-server federation is enable for all domains.

ITunes does not support quicktime?

When I try to open a videopodcast I'm told that this version of iTunes (the latest) does not support Quicklime..? I'm sorry the image is in Danish, but you'll get the point. I'm using a Macbook Air (2012) and Maverick plus latest updates....

My Itunes does not play quicktime

I have the latest Itunes software version 10.6.3 but when I go to podcasts and try to play video, it tells me that my version does not support quicktime. Help! I have tried updating it but it does not seem to work.

Try relaunching iTunes in 32-bit mode first, as per the instructions in the following document:
iTunes for Mac: Older media files may require iTunes to reopen in 32-bit mode

I'm not clear on where you are seeing that text. When I view Google's cached page from the page found in this search

It doesn't match yours exactly. There is an iframe with a Google map in it in the "Hosting Analysis" section, which in your pasted page seems to be the "Site Server" section.

How do i delploy on hosted server which does not support crystal. Is RAS ?

have to put a solution on a public hosted server. it does not support crystal . cannot add to GAC
if i use RAS(or cr 2008 server) on another server . Web app works on public server but points to my RAS server. Do I still need components on the public server. if I do this will not work,

many thanks. there is some tendancy to cloud hosts. all you get is ftp access and .net ompersonation.
just drop the webisite in. so no MSI use which also rules out merged modules

The statement from that web site is completely incorrect. What they probably meant was that their software doesn't support Mac. IMHO this is a sign of either ignorance or lack of concern on the part of the site creators. Back in the dark ages a lot of PC apps didn't support Mac but not these days.
Get into your Mac Help window and search MIDI. There's plenty of info there on how your Mac supports MIDI.
