Web host with Safari-based site builder?

My current website host (XO) has "lost" my site and has decided to phase out its Site Builder, which I could use with Safari, in favor of its new Web Builder, which is only accessible with IE 6. As most of you know, there is no IE 6 available for Mac and MS has stopped supporting ANY IE for Mac. I don't know HTML and am not really interested in learning it. Does anyone know of a good, reliable web host with an easy site building program that is Safari-able?

Issue with frames-based sites in Sf-3(L); Looking for confirmation

Is anyone else having issues with Safari 3 (Leopard) and frames-based sites? Specifically, frame sizes not being obeyed?
For example, phpMyAdmin's left Navi frame is, in most themes, supposed to be about 180px wide; if need be, the frame is coded to show scrollbars (again, in all the themes I've used so far anyway).
However, Safari 3.0.4 on Leopard apparently ignores this and resizes the left Navi frame to an unusably narrow width (for reasons unknown - it's not the the right frame is especially full or anything), with no scroll bars either! However, the very same phpMyAdmin site works fine in Firefox 2, where frame widths show up exactly as they are supposed to.
Is anyone else having or can duplicate this issue?

Problems with Safari Loading Sites and Photos

For the past week (Feb. 2015) I've experience problems with Safari loading websites on my 2009 20" iMac desktop. Running version OSX Lion 10.7.3 4 GB. Intel Duo Core 2.66 GHz
Mac also will frequently not upload photos at websites like Yahoo News or Facebook. It does this throughout the day.
So, I downloaded Chrome, thinking it would be a better browser if Safari is not functioning. Chrome is just slightly better, and when it won't load a website I get the following error message from Chrome: DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET.
I'm debating taking the Mac to the Apple store for diagnosis or repair today, but if anyone else is experiencing similar problems, could you please offer some solutions as to what is going on.

Is it possible to provide an BEx Web Query with parameters based on iView?

Hi SAP Portal experts,
My knowledge of SAP Portal is limited and I ran into the following problem:
I have got about 60 BEx Web Queries which should be put into some sort of navigation. Furthermore I would like to intodruce one start page where the user can preselect common bex query variables (e.g. company code) by clicking on a map.
My approach was to put all query links into a BEx Web Application Template. The template includes a JavaScript storing the userdefined values in a cookie. As soon as the user clicks on a link the cookie values are read from that cookie and a query parameter string is set up like "&BI_COMMAND_1-BI_COMMAND_TYPE=SET_VARIABLES_STATE&BI_COMMAND_1-VARIABLE_VALUES-VARIABLE_VALUE_1-VARIABLE_TYPE=VARIABLE_INPUT_STRING&BI_COMMAND_1-VARIABLE_VALUES-VARIABLE_VALUE_1-VARIABLE_TYPE-VARIABLE_INPUT_STRING=2100&BI_COMMAND_1-VARIABLE_VALUES-VARIABLE_VALUE_1-VARIABLE=0P_COCD" and concatenated with the URL for the BEx Query.
My colleague wants me to put all this into SAP Portal and to create an iView for each BEx Query. How can I achieve that? I have already had a look at the iView property "parameters passed on to BEx Web Application". If I put my parameter string there, it works fine. However, I would like to replace VARIABLE_INPUT_STRING=2100 and VARIABLE=0P_COCD with the values selected by the user by clicking on the map. So how can I set up a parameter or variable in one iView and read it in another iView with a BEx Web Query???

I have thought about this. There are some problems here....
I cannot use the same proxy to invoke the java callout and then based on the code or handler disable it, since
1) i would have no way to enable back the proxy again.
2) Also there is some amount of message loss.
So i will have to use another proxy to do the same, but in this case
1) what would be the trigger to this proxy?
2) And how often do i invoke the java callout to see if the URI is up or not? (wouldnt that affect the performance?)
I am just wondering why did they give an offline URI option in the business service and no similar option in the proxy service, Any Idea?

Problem with script based site creation

I created a simple bash script that would create the folder structues and more imporatnatly, the http-conf files for the given sites. However, while the script works... and all seems well... in short time, the server will place all conf files into a "sites-previous-unusable" folder.
Here is the other confusing part. Everything was working late last week, but when I got back to the servers from a long weekend... server.app could not tell that apache was running. After a few re-openings of server.app, eventually it starting failing on being able to read the server config.
If anyone could help... please... any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Recap of issues we are seeing:
Apache begins to ignore all virtuals, and routes all to the default directory (/var/empty)
All conf files get moved to a "sites-previous-unusable" directory in /etc/apache2

We are trying to automate the process of creating folder and domain/subdomain structures for the design and development of our client sites. (see below script). Being that we have hundredes of sites... so an automated process is very much needed as server.app is a horrible interface for anything more then 5.

I was just doing the same thing. Although I realize this post is getting old.
I did it by using:

NwEngine.Shell.SetRegValue strRegEnv, "REG_SZ", "(FILE LOCATION)"
I placed that at the "On end Install" and "On end Update" Level.
if the reg value is not already present, it will be created.
If the reg value does exist, it is replaced.

Can I change the background color view for SPECIFIC web pages with Safari?

I cannot read Netflix red background webpages without getting a headache/eyestrain. I know other browsers allow me to override the pages' colors but will safari allow me to specify all pages from for instance "www.netflix.com"; to have a white background while letting other pages display colors as they were created?
Will any browser do this?

There may be a way of doing this using CSS. In Safari's preferences under 'Advanced' there is the option to choose a user defined style sheet. I have used this since Safari came out to not display ads in Safari, and it may be well possible to use it to change certain styles (depending on page code).

Dnssec in combination with hostname based site-2-site vpn

Hi Friends,
We are currently using a Cisco 887VA-K8-SEC to connect to a Cisco ASA 55XX.
This is based on hostname resolving to for example: myvpnentry.mydomain.nl
It all works fine. But i want to add dnssec verification on the Cisco 887VA to
make sure the vpn hostname resolves to a valid ip.
I have looked through many cli guides but couldn't find dnssec.
Can someone tell me if this is at all possible on a Cisco 887VA or any other
Cisco router?

MBP slower loading web pages with Safari

Is there a 'learning' period for Safari on the MBP (2.0 dual-1G ram). The pages seem to be much slower than my PBG4. The Aple sight is painfully slow.
Otheer activities seem about the same or just a slight bit faster to open.

The only "break in" period isn't related to Safari, but when Spotlight is indexing it may slow things down a bit for an hour or two after you first boot up or xfer a bunch of files to the machine.
Other than that, Safari should run super fast. Check a couple of things:
1) Make sure you didn't install any non-universal plug-ins.
2) Choose "Get Info" for Safari and make sure "Open using Rosetta" is NOT checked.
3) Empty the cache.
4) Try resetting Safari.

No web with safari, itunes, but can with all other apps.

iTunes says: connection denied, Safari says: web page not found, but every other web app I have can connect.

If so, try unselecting them and retry Safari/iTunes.

Deploying APEX application with web host

Hi guys,
Whats the process of deploying APEX application with a webHost?
We got a good deal from a web host with dedicated database, it still being processed.
Currently we have a domain name hosted elsewhere (non APEX host) . What I am planning to do is, create a subdomain with our existing web host and point it to the IP address of the DB machine the apex host will give us.
So I am guessing the process will involve:
1) getting the IP address of the database machine
2) configure the my existing web hosting setup to create a sub-domain and make it point to the IP address (for example 174.184.223.441)
Would I need Port number of the machine running Oracle DB with APEX and the local IP address (the one starts with 10.0.0.xxx) etc?
Would be grateful if someone can share what you did given you already have a domain hosted and need to create a subdomain to make it point to another APEX host.

To access the web hosting, you need to first build a site on Dreamweaver or Muse. Once you get to the publishing stage, you will publish the side to the hosting server and will be given a domain yoursite.businesscatalyst.com
That is only a temporary site. From there you can access all the hosting information. You can host up to 5 sites with the membership.
You'll have to buy a domain from GoDaddy or another domain site to put your site live.

Web hosting question

Hi. I'm looking for a free web hosting company for a site
that I'm building in Dreamweaver CS3; it will have relatively small
