Web Intelligence 4.0 Exam Passing Score

Hello Everyone
I will be taking the Webi Intelligence 4.0 Exam in November. I also took the 2 e-learning courses offered by SAP to help in my preparation. I wanted to know if anyone knew what the percentage score was to pass this certification exam?
Thanks

Hi all,
I am planning to take C_BOWI_40 certification test by the end of this month. Any help/guidance would be very much appreciated.

  • Passing mark for C_BOWI_30/Web Intelligence Certification Exam

    Hi,
What is the passing mark for the C_BOWI_30/Web Intelligence Certification Exam.
The information page on the page does not say anything about the minimum score required to pass the test unlike old exams QAWI201V3.0 and QAWI301V3.0 where passing grade were 75 and 80 respectively.
Also is the passing pass based on percentile (dependent on score of others appearing same day) or its a flat passing percentage?
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Thanks,

    Hello,
I am planning to pass the exam next month and would like to know some feedback from any one that passed the exam.
Has any one already passed this exam?
I would like to know if the exam was dificult?
What was the topic that was mostly asked?
Did they ask questions related to example chart or table formating properties?
    Please help

  • 1Z0-051 ....what's the passing score???

    Hi,
I am going to take the 1Z-051 in two weeks and just noticed in the Oracle certification web page:
    http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=41&p_exam_id=1Z0_051
    The passing score is :
    Number of questions: 65
Passing Score:60................that's over 90% pass score.....
Now, is that 60% or 60 questions out of 65?
If it is 60 questions, why then the 1Z0-007's passing score is 71% which is equal to 36 out of 52 questions?
Please help, tell me it is just an error in the page.......
    Thanks

  • Creating a new Web Intelligence document using OpenDocument (requires an existing document?)

We use the OpenDocument interface to embed the Web Intelligence viewer in our web application.  One of the problems we're having is that the code appears to require a valid document ID, even if all you want to do is create a new document (passing the noDocument=true flag, so that the application opens with no document at all).
I've tried various permutations of the following, with no success, always getting this error message (An error occurred: Could not find the document)
    E.g:
    http://bo-server:8080/BOE/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?noDocument=true...
    http://bo-server:8080/BOE/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?noDocument=true&iDocID=...
    http://bo-server:8080/BOE/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?noDocument=true&iDocID=-1...
    http://bo-server:8080/BOE/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?noDocument=true&iDocID=0...
    http://bo-server:8080/BOE/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?noDocument=true&sDocName=...
    http://bo-server:8080/BOE/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?noDocument=true&sDocName=new...
It appears the only way to get OpenDocument to allow you to do this is to use an existing WebI document ID.  That is to say you can't create a new document unless you already have an existing document to include in the call to the JSP.
This limitation appears to be artificial and only on the OpenDocument interface -- You can create new documents in Launchpad without having an already existing document to point to.  Documenting the workaround for this, having people installing the product first make a webi and save it, then configuring it so it has read-only permissions (so it doesn't accidentally get deleted), then configuring our application to lookup the ID isn't the most elegant of experiences.
I was wondering if anyone had run into this before and/or if anyone at SAP could look into it?  I'm hoping it's an easy limitation/bug to fix.
This limitation affects 4.1 SP4 and probably older versions of the OpenDocument interface.  See also:

  • How to setup Data translation in web intelligence reports?

    Hi,
The webinar, 'Translation for Web Intelligence XI 3.1 Using Tranlation Manager' was fantastic, however, it only briefly mentions that the data tier is 'handled at the database level within an application through several options'.
What are those options for the data tier, and by the data I mean what is in the database and not in the report prompts or universe?
    Thanks

    Hi everyone,
I'll try and be more clear- maybe someone will have done this.  Translation Manager is great for translating prompts and universe strings/names.  The problem I have is with the data returned by a universe query that is  language specific.
Does anyone know how to pass language information so that queries (via the universe) can be language specific?   That way I can have the query return the data in the report with language specific data.  Otherwise, I suspect that I'll have to return all language data in the query and filter by language using the new function GetContentLocale().
    Thanks,
    Steve

  • Increase the passing score

Some people say that Oracle Certification doesn't carry that much weight since the passing score is so low (60% or so). And in the certification, the passing score isn't shown, thus making the person scoring 100 % the same as the "almost fail" 60%. Why is the passing score is so low? Can't it be raised? Or at least put the passing score in the certificate. That way, it's more fair. Make my Certification worthy, since it's not cheap.

Make my Certification worthy, since it's not cheap. The worthy certification candidate understand certification exams having passing scores; while a certification, which, depending on certification, can be achieved by one or more routes, becomes a little more difficut to manage in terms of passing score.
There are probably many reason for not putting a percentage on a certificate .... increased exam costs through increased dispute handling might be just one of them.
The passing score is set depending on the difficulty of the exam, and IMHO is usually set appropriately. In general IMHO a passing score of ideally 67% to 72% will usualy indicate exam questions have been set wih the appropriate level of dfficulty and exam time. When the pass mark ges toward 77% as the the case of 1z0-147; this may be an indicator the questions for this are becoming 'too easy' . Equally a pass mark of near 60% may indicate questions are too difficult, 1z0-402 is the a prime example here, whee a 57% pass mark does seem too low to be reasonable.
Probably the 60% pass ark exam you are referring to is 1z0-051.
Couple of notes on this one:
    (1) It is a non hgh stakes entry level exam that is available non proctored.
    (2) It needs to have a comparable candidate pass rate to 1z0-007 (Pass mark 71%).
    (3) It is quite possilbly the first exam people will encounter.
.... To the person who passed 1z0-051 say well done, you have studied an exam with a good topic range based on modern SQL and have achieved a pass.
.... To anyone who has achieved 95% in 1z0-051 and wants recognition above those getting a pass at 60%..... i say go and pass 1z0-047 and get your SQL OCE certification!!!
Rgds - bigdelboy .... possibly rambling off topic.

  • Java SE 7 Passing Score

Greeting, Last year December i wrote 1Z0-803 and scored 70% and the passing score was 77% meaning i failed. Yesterday i logged in and realized the passing score has been changed to 63%, now my question is do i rewrite for 63% or will i be credited for my 70% which i have on my records ? Please Advise !

The exam has actually been reviewed and revised, with questions updated, added and deleted. So it is a different version of the exam now, from the one you took. The passing score for the version of the exam you took was 77%, so you did not pass that exam. You will need to retake the exam, taking the version that is now available, and you will need to gain at least 63% to pass. This is a revised item bank from the exam you took, which is why the exam details are different.

  • Refresh of Data in Xcelsius from Web Intelligence Results

    Hello,
I am new to the forum but not to Business Objects/Xcelsius.  I attended the SAP Sapphire Event last May and spent time in the Business Objects lab.  Two Product Managers demonstrated how I would be able to refresh the data in an Xcelsius dashboard using Live Office by retreiving results from a Webi document without refreshing the Webi query.
For example, my Webi document contains 100,000 result rows.  I want to be able to select a dropdown in my dashboard and have Live Office retreive only a subset of the 100,000 rows.  This being done without having the Webi query being refreshed from the database.  The Webi query would be refreshed nightly.
The Product Managers advised that this functionality would be available in Service Pack 3 or before.  As of now I cannot find out how to make this work.  Any help or information would be appreciated.  Thanks.

    Hello Charles,
WebIntelligence Input Controls are a way to enhance and customize user experience with report filters, they are therefore based on report filters and the feature is more focused on user interface & experience rather than exposition outside web intelligence.
Anyway, AFAIK, report filters are not available from Live Office report parts, you can only filter content with prompts, which requires the document to be refresh from the database, which has a direct impact on performance and scalability for consumers.
However, if you are with WebIntelligence XI 3.1 SP2 you have the alternative to publish from WebI Rich Client, report elements (any table or chart) as web services (called BI Services).
This tool is based on Qaaws technology, and share some of its features (main being that is uses the same Xcelsius Data Manager connection), it exposes a large part of WebI interactions to external consumers (esp. Xcelsius) : report filters, drill, prompts.
Besides this tool provides a set of call input parameters to tune web service consumption for best performance and scalability, enabling to leverage WebI document management features like scehduling, publishing and refresh, so consumers can balance performance with real-time data.
More information is available from WebIntelligence Rich Client user documentation from section sharing webi content with other web applications.
I recommend you install the latest fix pack (SP2.5 and above), as some initial fixes were required to ensure full compatibility with Xcelsius.
    Hope that helps,
    David.

  • Can i insert data in my database from a web intelligence report?

afaik it is not possible write back to database from web intelligence .
from dashboards with web services you can achieve this.

  • Connection from Web Intelligence over Universe to SAP ERP without SAP BW

    Hi there,
is there a way to create a Universe which ic connected to SAP ERP (ECC 6.0) ? I want to use Web-Intelligence to create the Reports for my ERP-Data. But i don't want to make the way over SAP BW.
Otherwise i have to use Crystal because Crystal + SAP ERP Integration Kit can handle a connection to ERP. But then i have to waste a lot of time for the accuracy to a pixel which i dont need and i dont want...
    Any Ideas ?!
    Thanks

    Hi
    you have 4 options:
    1) Load your SAP ERP data into an SAP BW system and use OLAP universes to build WebI reports.
    2) Use Rapid marts for SAP. This product comprises Data Integrator mappings that will allow to load your SAP ERP data into a predefined DWH based on a relational data source (like DB2, MS SQL Server or Oracle). It also includes a universe based on the predefined relational DWH that will allow you to build WebI reports.
    3) Use the Data Federator with the SAP R/3 connector. Please note that the R/3 connector is NOT a product rather a prototype tand will be used at own risk (SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence Reporting for SAP ERP [original link is broken])
    4) NOT RECOMMENDED: Try to access the tables directly in the underlying database. Please note that this may work for some but not all of the ERP data. In several case the data are stored encoded in the underlying tables and there is no way to extract the required information. Additionally the ERP security will not be leveraged into the WebI report.
Crystal reports is the currently the only BO reporting tool, which supports direct access to SAP ERP data sources.

  • Date data from Web Intelligence Report not equal to Date from Source

    Hi,
I am creating a Web intelligence report based on a BEx query. I have a field called 'Date' that I am bringing over from the BEx query. It has a format of MM/DD/YYYY. When I view the 'Date' in Web Intelligence, it is displaying as 1/1/70. For example, in the BEx Query, 'Date' = 11/01/2011. In Crystal Reports, it is showing up as 1/1/70 as the only date. The source field contains more than 1 date.  I'm not sure what's going on. I am using the 14.0.0 (2010) version of the Web Intelligence through the BusinessObject Launch Pad.
    Please help!

    Hi
The patches for SAP BusinessObjects BI4.0 are accumulative.  This means you can download the latest patch (for the Support Package that you have installed) and it will have all the patch fixes
It looks like older patches are being removed from the sites & only the most recent patch or patches are available since they are accumulative
I believe Patch 2.15 should now be available, but anything later than Patch 2.6 should help you in this instance
    I hope this helps
    regards...ian

  • Can we use Java Script in SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence 4.1?

Can we use Java Script or any other Script in BI 4.1 Web Intelligence? If possible please do let me know the method/process

    Hi Kranthi,
You have option to read a cell content as html. else you will have to go for SDK. I think you will get better suggestions, if you can explain your requirement in a little detailed manner.
refer below links for more details about SDK.

  • Difference Between BEx Web and Web Intelligence

    Hi,
Could someone help me understand why someone would want to choose SAP BW BEx Web over Web Intelligence (apart from license issues)?
Web Inteligence is a very strong tool from a UI point of view and has can do most of the functions that SAP BW BEx Web can. WebI allows users to actually create your own reports.
A couple of drawbacks with WebI
    -  I can see is that Web Intelligence does not handle SAP BW hiearchies very well (i.e. they are not shown in a hierachical manner).
    - WebI holds the data within the report which can mean long run times. BEx Web only brings back data for fields that are shown in the report
I have heard people saying that BEx Web is an OLAP tool and WebI is not. How does this make a difference?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    take a look here:
    http://www.sdn.sap.com//irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/d00ae0a1-8086-2d10-118c-f35b8e604bc4
BEx is an OLAP Tool and Web Intelligence for sure not - means that Web Intelligence is not designed for multi-dimensional concepts.
