Web interface no loading in Cisco Small Business 300 Series

Hi everyone!
I have a Cisco Small Business 300 Series Managed Switches as a floor switch. It is working fine (apparently), but I can no longer get into the web interface to manage it. The web page load till 70% and stops loading. Can someone suggest a solution please?
Thanks

Hello,
I was hoping to see error :-) Bu it looks like you have a console access with no issue. Can you test web access when PC is directly connected to switch? Do you observe the same issue?

  • Plug and Play for Cisco Small Business 300 Series Managed Switch

    Good day
what are the Auto-Install options available for the Cisco Small Business 300 Series Managed Switch ?
It would appear there are none, the operating system is not the standard IOS I'm used to.
Would like to use it with Cisco Prime Infrastructure's PnP Gateway capability.
    Regards
    Pierre

Prime Infrastructure uses and assumes a CNS (Cisco Network Services) agent on the other side when enabling "plug & play". 300/500 Series do not run IOS and does not include a CNS agent, but there is a way to enable auto-configuration. The switches support DHCP Autoconfiguration (using DHCP options 66, 67, and others) whereby they automatically download their config from a TFTP server at boot time. This allows an administrator to put the configs for all the switches on a TFTP server and simply boot a factory-defaulted switch in order to get its config.
Attached is a document showing how this is done.
Hope the information would be of assistance.

  • Cisco Small Business 300 VLAN Features?

    Hi Everyone,
Please help me to understand some features of Cisco Small Business 300 Series Managed Switches. one of this is "Static routing/Layer 3 IP routing between VLANs allows for communicating across VLANs without degrading application performance" what is this means can i create VLAN or just VLAN can pass thrue this kind of switch? how about this feautres from Cisco Catalyst 2960 Series Switches " The ability to set up virtual LANs soemployees are connected by  organizational functions, project teams, or applications rather than on a  physical or geographical basis" what is the difference of this features of this different model of switches? thanks...
    Raffy

    Raffy,
This switch is a layer2 or a layer 3 switch, which ever you set it to.
If you have it in layer 3 mode the switch can do routing between vlans.  If in layer 2, you can setup a trunk port to a router that understands vlans and allow inter-vlan connectivity that way.
Its based on what your router can do.  If your router understands vlans, then you can leave it in layer 2 mode and create your vlans and trunk to the router.
If it does not understand vlan tagging, you can put the switch in layer 3 and put an ip address on the vlan interfaces and let the switch be the gateway for the vlans.  Then the switch will do the routing from one vlan to the other.

  • Accounting on a Cisco Small Business SF300-08

    Hello,
The "Cisco Small Business 300 Series Managed Switches Administration Guide" and the data sheet indicate that this switch can do accounting requests with a Radius server. On the SF300 switch interface/CLI, there is only the authentication port, the accounting port can not be set (and nothing is sent by the switch to the default port). I suppose that the SF300-08 does not handle accounting. Maybe I have to change for another model. Could you give me another model in the same range price ?
    Thanks,
    Laurent.

Hello Laurent, I am pleased the 1.2.5.70 has resolved this issue.
Please keep advisory the 1.2.5.70 firmware has also been pulled for now.
Pease note we have identified a potential issue with the 1.2.5.70 update for the Series 200, 300, and 500 switches. As a precautionary measure, we have taken down the 1.2.5.70 release while we determine the cause of the issue, severity, and scope. We will either re-post the release or post an updated version depending on the outcome of our analysis.

  • Cisco Small Business Pro Switch pricing...

As a very long time Linksys user I am not totally unhappy that the Linksys name is no longer part of the product designation.
We provide IT management and support to many SME businesses. Part of our management functions on behalf of our clients is to ensure value for money. From a Linksys aspect, in the past this meant a trade-off between value (low-cost - a Linksys benefit) and reliability and stability.
On the one hand, we continuously had to monitor and test firmware upgrades before implementation. On the other hand we have many clients still running netwrok VPNs on 6 year old BEFVP41 units with no outages at all due to the equipment...
With this experience in mind, we are anticipating that the Small Business Pro equipment is likely to be fully specified and tested, for which we will gladly recommend to our clients the higher prices commensurate with that reliability and stability.
From this perspective, we have tested the SA520 and the AP541N and the initial results are favorable - they appear to be an improvement on the Linksys RVS4000 and the RV042. Pricing is higher, but not exorbitantly so.
When looking at the switch pricing, however, I was unimpressed to find that the 24 port Gigabit switch is north of $1,300 - amost 3 times the price of the SRW2024.
I realize that pricing is a corporate decision by Cisco - and I have no doubt that they do not want to have their Small Business Pro series cannibalizing the corporate switch sales. However, we cannot recommend this to client management as it is excessive. Given that we set the standards for all of our clients (and ALL of our clients are currently using LInksys products as an exclusive standard - we do not permit any other networking equipment), our choice is difficult:
Do we stick with the Cisco Small Business Pro for the WAN aspects of client networks and evaluate other vendors for the LAN elements?
Given that we have been badly burned by both Linksys One and Microsoft ResponsePoint, we specifically no longer specify IP voice systems by network vendors, so any infrastructure-specific advantages in this regard are not an issue.
    Any other perspectives on this?

The Small Business Pro ESW 500 Switches actually differ from their Linksys and Cisco Small Business counterparts by these features:
Better interoperability with Cisco and Cisco Small Business Pro products
    Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP)
    EtherChannel
Cisco Configuration Assistant configurability and manageability
Integration with the Cisco Smart Business Communication System (SBCS) solution
Smartport roles for easy configuration of switchports, both in the ESW Web GUI and in the Cisco Configuration Assistant program
Ability to connect Cisco Unified IP Phones into an ESW switch as part of a SBCS deployment
ESW 500 switches have a higher level of support than the Linksys and Small Business counterparts because Cisco Small Business Pro Service is offered on the ESW 500 switches
The ESW 500 Web GUI is actually similar to the GUI found on the Linksys and Cisco Small Business counterparts. ESW 500 might actually be a better option with the SA500 because:
CCA 2.2(1) and later can manage the SA500, the AP541N, and the ESW 500 switches, even if they are deployed outside of the SBCS solution.
Cisco Small Business Pro Service is available on ESW switches, but not on Linksys or Cisco Small Business products

  • LMS 3.2 and Cisco Small Business Switches

    Hi there,
I'm currently using LMS 3.2 to monitor my network. We've recently purchsed a few of the Cisco Small Business Switches, the SF 300-24 model to be exact. They're considered 'managed switches' (tho thier CLI is terrible) and I would like to monitor them in CWLMS. My problem is that once I add it to CS, it doesn't resolve to anything, just sits there as a blue box with a question mark. I'm assuming this means that these devices are not (currently) supported by LMS 3.2 - do you know if that will change, or how I can go about managing this device with LMS 3.2?
    Thanks

Unfortunately that series of products is not supported in any version of LMS (or even Cisco Network Assistant - CNA).
Cisco provides the FindIt utility to manage them:

    Hope this helps.

    Hi parking, if the GUI will not load please try the following;
The same computer using IE, Firefox, Chrome, etc
Different computer with the mentioned browsers (preferably  Windows 7 or older)
If none of these work, try to factory reset the switch as it sounds like the software is hung

  • WRT54G v6 Web Interface Not Loading Properly

I just bought a WRT54G v6 router.  When I tried to configure it via the web interface at 192.168.1.1, the web page came up, but only partially.  None of the links were visible.  After reading other posts, I tried upgrading to the latest firmware WRT54Gv5v6_v1.02.2_fw.bin via the Management Mode because the normal web mode wasn't accessible.  The upgrade appeared to work, but the following screen was blank instead of saying "Upgrade Success".  I cycled power.  The normal web page showed the new firmware version number, but the page still was missing its links.  I tried the upgrade procedure again with the same results.
I downloaded the EasyLink Adviser and let it configure the router.  It appears to have been successful.  However, I tried the web interface afterwards, and the page is still not showing the links properly.
Is my web interface issue an indication of future troubles with the router?  Is there any way to get the interface to work properly?
I have tried the web interface with both IE and FireFox, and with my firewall/antivirus software turned off.  The Cisco logo indicator is the normal solid amber.  The power light is solid on.  The WLAN/1/Internet indicators are on and blink with net traffic.  I cannot find any other indicators of router trauma other than the web interface.

    Hi there, Lumen!
Have you tried resetting the router?
At the back panel of the router, you'll find a reset button on it. Press on it for 30 seconds while the router is on. After doing so, you could let go of the reset button and then take out the router's power cord for like ten seconds and plug it's cord back it. After that time, check if you'll have the proper lights on the router again and see if you'll be able to see the whole router's setup page this time.

                    Switch#conf t
                    Switch(configure)#username <user> password <password> privilege 15

  • Profile Manager Web Interface Not Loading

I set up a Mac mini with 10.9 and Server 3.1.2 to be our MDM server. After the initial configuration the https://<servername>/profilemanager and /mydevices web interfaces work just fine. I'm able to enroll five test OSX and iOS devices. Then I come in the next day and the /profilemanager web interface is unreachable. The /mydevices web interface still works though.
I tried reinstalling 10.9 and server and setting up from scratch and the problem repeats itself the next day. According to this thread deleting Server.app and reinstalling is one solution, but that did not work. I also tried resetting the Profile Manager, but that did not solve this issue either.
When trying to load /profilemanager on the server, a MacBook, and iPad, Safari will just hang when loading the page. The title bar changes to "Admin," the blue status bar hangs, and the page does not load.
This one is baffling. Any suggestions as to what to do would be most appreciated.

  • Cisco Small Business RV220W DHCP / IP-reservations?

Is it just me, or does the Cisco RV220W indeed miss the option for DHCP reservation / IP-reservation in the firmware?
With the latest 1.0.3.5 firmware I can't seem to figure out how to set IP-reservations for the DHCP in the router firmware. I could always configure static IP-addresses on my computers but I have always found it better to simply add some simple IP-reservations on the router instead and it seems rather awkward that a small business router from Cisco isn't up for the task when even the cheapest Netgear, Linksys and D-Link routers are?
I heard a rumour about a bug in earlier firmwares for the RV220W where IP-reservations broke port forwarding / access rules so Cisco might have removed the feature all together I guess, but I would expect this to be fixed and added back in by now if that was indeed the case?

    Hello,
May I ask what is the purpose of this? I'm asking for two reasons:
1- I don't think it is possible. I tried it today and you are always able to ping the router's IP address from any VLAN no matter what configuration or restrictions I put in place on the router itself.
2- Not being able to ping the router won't actually hide it as the only thing you have to do to find out what the ip address of the router is, is to run an IP config and look at the default gateway.
If we know what is the end goal then we can give a better idea about how to accomplish it or just tell you if it is not possible,
    Please let us know.

    Any ideas

    Hi accidentexchange,
Did you fail to log in when accessing the SA 520W thru both HTTP and HTTPS?
    https://LAN_IP_address_of_SA520W/
    http://LAN_IP_address_of_SA520W/
Furthermore,  can you give us an overview of your network topology and user info.  If  possible, can you provide us the configuration and dbglogs from your SA  520W so that I can forward to the development team?
To get the dbglog from SA520W, login through web UI and in the browser enter the following URL:
