Web Interfaces can be displayed incorrectly in QA system after transported

Dears,
I transported Web Interfaces for BPS from D system to Q system. I activate the BSP application in transation SE80 and activate the service node in transaction SICF in Q system. However, the BSP can't be displayed correctly with NO_METADATA_AVAILABE error.Also, I test the HTTP service in Q system, it works well. The transport steps I followed:
1) change the package of BSP application (SE80 D system)
2) write transport entry to new request (SE80 D system)
3) switch the correspoding service node to new object directory entry (SICF D system)
4) transport the request to Q system
5) activate BSP application (SE80 Q system)
6) activate BSP service node (SICF Q system)
Am I missing configuring something? or completely wrong steps? Any suggestions are appreciated.

OCA admin web interface - can't access certificate management tab

Hi there.
This is very strange, a week a go I could issue certficate requests in the user web interface and then aprove them in the admin web interface.
Now I can issue certificate requests in the user web interface but when I try to aprove the request by accessing the certificate management tab, the web browser stays a lot of time trying to access the page and timesout with a "cannot display this page" error.
I've been looking at log files, but untill now, I couldn't find anything. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong files?
Does anyone had this problem before?

When you access the admin page, does it ask to select the certificate you want to use?
If don't, or you don't see this (in a windows with a list) they you may try to reset OCA, this happens when the certificate is lost or have been disabled, rejected or deleted, and as you dont have anything to use, you can't see the page.

Web Interface builder - Not displaying planning folder after transporting

I created an web-enabled planning folder and transported it to the quality system.
In the development system works perfectly (variables, layouts, links, user-exits, etc).
After transporting it to the quality system when I run this web planning folder the page doesn't load and displays with an empty white web page.
I tried to re-generate it in the quality system, but I'm having the same problem. I haven't recieved any error message.
Development system:

I tried re-transporting and re-generate it again and I'm still having the same problem.
Have you heard of a note or something for a similar problem?
The only thing I recall is that this client was using SEM 3.5 before and upgraded to SEM 4.0 recently.

Alert rules not displaying correctly in the RWB after transporting to QA

Hi Experts,
After transporting the alert rules from DEV to QA, the rules are not correctly displayed in the RWB in QA e.g. a star (*) is displayed in all the fields instead of the filter values which I have entered such as the "Sender Party"; "Sender Interface" etc. I am also not able to manually change the values in the RWB in QA anymore because the values are greyed out.
Strangely enough, the rules are correctly displayed inside the SXMSALERTRULES table in QA.
Do you perhaps know how to solve this issue so that the rules are also correclty displayed in the RWB after transporting?

Running winnt 4.0, messaging 4.x, directory 4.x and admin 4.x. Already moved the netscape gateway to a web server instead of admin server, but also need to move the user mgt application. This is the first link listed when you go to the admin server url in the browser. I have set up <netscape root>/bin/user/admin/bin as cgi directory and set up /bin/user/admin as additional docs directory, but frames in the application just hang.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...

Hi Peter, Can you define what you mean by the
"User mgt Application"? Do you mean moving the entire
Administration Server to a Web Server?
If that is the case, then I do not believe that this is possible. The Administration Server itself is a proprietary architecture. The DSGW was setup from 4.0 onwards to be able to run on an external Webserver, to improve performance, but I do not believe that the Admin Server itself can be moved over.
Do you have a lot of people logging in through the Console itself? As you have already moved the DSGW component over to a sepeate sever, I'm trying to understand the need to move the Entire Admin Server over.

[iPhone] Can I display two modal view controllers after each other?

This is for BETA 7.
Here is a simplified version of my problem.
In my application root view controller , the user presses a 'Start Wizard' button and they get modal view controller A presented which contains a 'Step 1 Complete' button. When that 'Step 1 Complete' button is pressed , ModalVC A dismisses itself and delegates an "I'm done" event to the root view controller , which presents another ModalVC B to the user with a 'Step 2 complete'. So basically imagine a Wizard of Modal View Controllers. Try to make one, it doesn't work.
The problem is that MODALVC B doesn't get displayed. It almost seems that when ModalVC A dismisses itself from the parent , this does not go in effect until the main thread goes back into its message loop for a redraw or something and it ignores the subsequent 'PresentModalViewController : nextcontroller' call.
The only way to make it work is to have 2 buttons ('Do Step 1' and 'Do Step 2') is the root view controller and have the user press them individually. Of course that's not what I want.

Yes , most of my application uses the navigation bar. The problem is that the two modal views involved are are used separately throughout the application quite frequently. In this specific case I want to reuse them , but consecutively.
If I do choose to go for a navigation bar for this case , then I'd need to have two versions of these two views , one without and one with my custom toolbar , wouldn't I?
I'll definitely try the queued posting. Do I use NSNotification center or is there another way to asynchronously post an event?

Can Workflow display a document via fb03 after an AP invoice is created.

My objective:
After a user has created an AP invoice successfully via fb60, a workflow event is triggered to load the new AP document via transaction fb03.
Question:
What type of step needs to be created in the workflow definition to accomplish this task?
What I have done and the respective result:
I had added code to the BTE event to trigger a workflow when the bkpf object is created. This piece of code is working. In the workflow definition, I had added a step to send an email notification to the initiator. This works too. However, I could not and do not know how to define the step to load the same document via fb03.
Please advice. Greatly appreciated.

To send a workitem to display the document:
1) Check if a Standard Task that uses object method BKPF.Display already exists in your system. If not crete one.
2) Insert an activity step in your workflow that uses the above task.

My iPhone can only display and play purchased songs after updating to 8.1.3

After updating to 8.1.3, all of my songs refuse to even show up on my iPhone if they were not purchased on the iTunes store. I should have about 5 gbs of music on my phone but I only see 7 songs I purchased from albums in the iTunes store. I tried synching to iTunes, re-adding music, restoring it. This was not a problem until I updated the iOS. How do I get this fixed?

Web Interfaces not display in Web interface builder

Hi All,
we transported web interfaces into the new system and we are unable to see them in web interface builder although I can see them in mime repository. The target system doesn't have appropriate web connection setting ( I can not run the web reports) yet, but I doubt this could be the problem......
Any idea how to make them visible in WIB.

Hello Pavel,
the web interface builder calls the web interface very similarly to an external browser. So if you HTTP and ICM setitngs are not correct (yet), the web interface can not be displayed in the builder.

Web Interface - "Execute function before displaying the layout" issue

Hi Experts,
In my project we have converted some BPS planning folder to Web interface. The steps are as below:
1) Open the BPS planning folder using upspm. Copy the web interface as Web Enabled folder.
2) Generate the web interface by clicking on go to --> Generate web interface
3) Run transaction bps_wb. Open the web interface. Then generate web interface again
4) Run the web interface by clicking on 'Display perview'
5) In the web interface there are some some functions which get executed before displaying the layout.
6) For such functions, push button gets created.
7) I have set the visible property of such push button as false.
8) Most of the time, when I am running the web interface, it
is getting executed successfully.
9) Some times, the web interface is not displaying the layouts successfully.In such cases I have observed that "Execute function before displaying the layout" is not working. Due to this some values like Fiscal Year is not getting set. So, the layout is not getting displayed.
10) I understand that it may be due to compilation error.
For example, I might have made some changes in the web interface. It must be saved and web interface must be regenerated before I diplay the interface again. Can you please help me in understanding the reason of this problem.
11) Can you please help me understand the cause of point no 9. Is it a non-issue? What may be the reason that "Execute function before displaying the layout" does not work every time.

Will a function that runs, before the data gets saved, work for you? You can configure such a function to run before the save command behind the save button you create in the planning application.

Oem web page will not display after O/S dst patch

Hello,
The Grid web page will not display after we DST patch for the o/s.
All below start fine without any errors:
emctl start oms
emctl start iasconsole
opmnctl startall
emctl start agent
The Grid web page is not displaying. What might happened after the o/s dst patch that might cause this? Our GRID is 10204 with a 10104 repository. The 10104 has not yet been dst patch.
What logs should I be looking at to figure why the web page is not displaying? Thank you.

Web Interface Transport

Hi,
I have a problem transporting the web interfaces. I have a request attached to the web interfaces in the development box and it's under a transportable package. When I move it to QA client, the web interfaces don't work and it seems like they need to be generated there. When I try to generate it in QA, I get an error message like this :
System setting does not allow changes to be made to object WAPA Z700UPSZCPTACTL
Am I doing something wrong? What is the regular way of trasporting the web interfaces?

Hi Baris,
the steps to do are in my opinion:
1. Create WIF with TA BPS_WB and assign it to a transportable package
2. Generate your WIF and assign it to a transport request
3. Go to TA SICF and activate the service of your created WIF
4. After activation of the corresponding service in TA SICF use the menu Goto-->Object Directory Entry(also in SICF) and assign this service to the correct package
5. Assign this to your transport request
6. Transport of all requests
Maybe it is possible that you have to activate the service in your target system after transport..

2. Exactly which all fields are required to post a invoice in EBP system?

There's a BBP_PD_INV_CREATE and BBP_PD_INV_SAVE... So what you need is to create a ZBBP_PD_INV_CREATE that calls both of them...
I don't have a variant in this system for that function module to copy the fields that you will need to fill, but basically is the Account table, partners table, items table, orgdata table, tax table and the header....
What i recommend is to run the BBP_PD_PO_GETDETAIL to obtain the detail of a purchase order, there you will see which tables are been filled and for the invoice will be almost the same....

Web interface displays via Portal using Mozilla or Firefox

We have several web interfaces (BW-BPS) and have created iViews on our Portal (EPP 6.0). These iViews properly execute in IE 6.0.
However, when we execute the BPS iViews using Mozilla or Firefox we see significant display discrepancies. For example, the web interface should display grid lines between the rows, but, we don't see them when running through the Portal using Mozilla or Firefox.
We thought that the Web interfaces themselves may be the issue but they properly execute when run straight from BW in Mozilla 1.7.13.
Can anyone help with this problem? Thanks,

first of all please check the Product Availability Matrix. Not all browser versions are supported. http://service.sap.com/pam
Some visual differences between the browsers can not be avoided since browsers just behave differently.
If the browser is supported and it does not work correctly, please open a customer message.
