Web link in Captivate 3 opens the target window and closes in 3 seconds
Hi,
I am encountering a strange problem with Captivate 3.
I have linked an online document in a Captivate 3 slide, and have set to open in a new browser window. The link works absolutely fine when previewing in Captivate. In browser, the new window opens and then disappears automatically, without either opening the document or giving the open/save/cancel dialog box.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
* Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

We are planning to Silent print a PDF from a web page using Flex. We are targeting Windows and Mac with Arcobat reader installed. Did you either of you ever find a solution? I'm stuck too, it seems I can get remote printing on all these PDFs to work but it just prints a blank page since I've been using Javascript in the browser, not Adobe's (they are Engineering drawings that I do not have permission to edit so I can't just insert code into them but I need to make work instructions). I've been scouring the internet for hours now, it seems that this thread is the only relevant/useful one at this point. No one else was trying to achieve this for similar reasons to mine.

When I try open a .pdf file my Adobe Reader 11 only allows the download / save opening the related window and don't show me both options 1) open with ... and 2) save as.... probably someone flagged the choise... always perform this way ....
Could some one give help and let me know where I can probably find the settings option that allows me to change and switch to previous situation where it was possible to decide time to time how to proceed either opening the file or saving it ??

Do you have a lot of apps? Did you use a lot of apps recently? If so, many of them may still be resident in memory even if you aren't currently using them. Double-tap the home key and you should see the app tray with a list of most recently used programs. Press and hold the icons in the tray and remove the ones you don't use often to remove them from memory. Powering off and then back on might also help.
My wife's iPod does that sometimes, and it's usually because we run out of memory due to apps remaining in memory even when not used. The suggestion above is how we normally fix the problems. -
Opening the Canvas window and the Timeline from the browser
I am on an Intel 2x2.66 Dual Core using OS 10.4.11 and working in FCP 6.04.
I know this is a stupid question but having been a composer all my life, I am not up to speed on FCP and I seem to be unable to find the answer in my manual.
I dragged a QuickTime movie to the browser window. It is 500x375 in dimension and uses a H.264, AAC codecs. (info I got from the Get Info window).
The video shows up and plays in the Viewer window but I cannot get the Canvas window nor the Timeline to open.
I have tried selecting the sequence from the list in the browser and then control clicking it and looking at the shortcut menu there. The manual says I should choose Open Timeline from this shortcut menu but that is not even a choice I have. I don't mean it is grayed out, I mean there is no Open Timeline choice on the menu.
As an alternate, the manual suggests selecting the sequence and then choosing View > Sequence in Editor. I tried this also. There is no Sequence in Editor choice under the View menu. There is a Clip in Editor choice but when I select that it simply opens the movie in Quicktime.
I am aware that I am probably forgetting something simple or doing something stupid but I cannot figure it out. Help would be much appreciated.
Thomasthe simple fact that is being eluded to here is that without an active sequence in the project (shown in the browser) there is no canvas or timeline. If you delete your sequence from the browser, the timeline and canvas will disappear, and you will have to create a new sequence, then open that sequence by double clicking it, to get those windows back. Canvas and Timeline display sequence content. No sequence, no c/t.

Problem doesn't happen every time, and I've tried to leave it alone to see if there's an update that needs to finish loading. After being left overnight, I still had to use the task manager to close the Firefox program. I have no idea what it's doing, and I'd like to know. Is Firefox taking over my computer so it can move on to my house, and then go on to rule the Tri State Area?

When Firefox does freeze (not responding appears in parentheses in the page tab) I am not able to access any of the webpages (the entire webpage is hidden behind a vaguely white transparent foreground) and more often than not any files I might be downloading are stopped before the entire file has been transferred - which means that I have to start those downloads from the beginning AGAIN. This has been happening for quite some time and I AM SICK AND TIRED OF IT HAPPENING!!
If it continues to happen for much longer I will swear off FireFox FOREVER!!!!! Either a program works or it does not work and lately Firefox has not worked worth a damn...........
The ONLY way to force Firefox to allow me to access it is for me to end the plugin-container.exe file process using Task Manager. Clearing there is a SERIOUS problem here that has not been resolved - why not???The pluging container opens up unnecessary copies as the cookies/history are cleared, this is a known issue, it might be what you are seeing, and it is hoped to be fixed in some future release of firerox.
There are some hangs affecting some users, with symptoms being high cpu usage, occurring as bookmark changes or syncing is in progress, there is a work around for that.

Install the v10.6.7 combo update available here.
It's ok to do this even if you are already running v10.6.7.
Restart your Mac after the combo is installed.
Then try the MAS.

Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

I am using LR4 but with Windows 7 but this tip may help.
Try pressing Ctrl+Alt+F I had this problem but done a lot of reading and found this answer.

Failed to open the target schema error

I am using JDeveloper 10.1.3.1.
I created a soap service in ESB to consume one of Jive forum web service and a routing service to supply information to the soap service to call a method in the web service. When I tried to create the mapping, I got the following error:
Failed to open the target schema: Invalid reference: 'http://webservices.forum.jivesoftware.com:User'
And the design view of the mapping file (.xsl) file shows nothing on Target area.
Anybody has any idea where the problem lies? Below is the WSDL:

user579972Let me add more information. The web service is provided online from the application and I didn't make a local copy or modify it.
I tested the web service using SOAP UI and worked like a charm.
I made another test just now by only creating Soap service to use the WSDL and allow the external invocation. Then I call the ESB wsdl (soap service WSDL) from SOAP UI and got the following error. It seems to me, ESB incorrectly format the soap request to Jive or the ESB has problem handling the request from SoapUI.

When I am NOT private browsing Firefox will not allow me to delete or change the website address in the location bar. My only remedy is to open a new window and search in google then click the link to that site through google. When I swap to private browsing firefox allows me to anter the website address directly into the location bar - but this is a slow [prcess to swap back and forth - also by dint of using private browsing I loose my website information.Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
