Web names and passwords not saved

A WiFi page on safari that used to show my saved username and password for a site I use doesn't do it anymore so I have to type it in again every time.
In -settings -safari -AutoFill - Names&Passwords I have it set 'on' so I really don't know why I have this behavour, cookies are also accepted
I have noticed that the web page did read www blah but it now reads www2 blah would that matter?

Resolved - it is the priace button that needs to be selected which appears when you select the tabs on the right bottom side of th screen

FTP User Name and Password - not saving

Occasionally, FTP user name and password for each site are all gone. I have searched the Internet for the solution. All I found were an issue w/ Dreamweaver 8 and CS4/CS5 but on a MAC. Mine is Dreamweaver CS4 on a PC so I don't have any Keychain on PC to fix. My co-workers are having the similar problem. Advise?

I can primarily speak for the Mac myself, although I do use the Windows versions at work on occassion, but this problem is usually due to either insufficient permissions (what user level are the users that are having trouble) or corrupted cache files. User name and password not saving anymore on my most used site!

Just a couple weeks ago - my username and password quit autofilling in the site that I use for my business. I need to log in several times a day (anytime I go 10 minutes without activity, I need to log in again). Safari is set to remember passwoods and is still working on all the other sites I vist where I saved the passwrod information.
I just cannot get the auto fill to work on the one site i want it to work on. It won't even give me the pop-up that asks if I want to save a passwrod.
So - is there a setting I am missing? (I do not think it is the particualar site as my sister uses Safari and her user name and passwrod are still auto-filling.
Any ideas?

No extensions or plugin added lately - I do have a two old ones on there - ghostery and Adblock - but those have been on there for a while.
I did look through every setting page in the preferences - it is weird that the password thing is still working for my other sites and just not this one - I have not even come across another site where this has happened.
I tried to add the username and passwrod to the autofil settings by clicking "edit" but you can only remove from that window.

Why can't I delete a user name and password from saved passwords in iOS 7? I found them and they are not anything that I am familiar with? They are from a t-com.de. I have been to Germany in the last month. Not sure if there is any association. Any thoughts?

You found them ... where? Are they in Safari somewhere?
If so, do Settings > Safari > Clear History and Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies and Data
If that doesn't clear them (and they are from Safari), try Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data and clear that area.

In essence a backup is for catastrophic failure of your system. So it can be restored once that failure has been fixed. Not because you go in willy nilly and start deleting files.

I have just installed Oracle 8.1.6 on my Linux Box.My Jdeveloper is installed on Win 98 Box. Now I am trying to execute the Online Orders sample package provided with the Jdeveloper. I have followed the instructions provided with the Jdeveloper Tutorial sample. The test connection between the client and server are a success. The OnlineOrder test is also a success. When I run The Application.java Class then it is giving the
JBO-26061 error with details as Null user name and password not supported by thin driver.
Where I am wrong I dont understand. Pls guide?

jdeveloper is certifed to run on the win nt AND win 200 platforms only.

Tiger to Leopard transition- user name and password not working. plz help!

Hi all. Last year I purchased a MacBook Pro with Tiger OSX. Anyways I wanted to switch to leopard, so I did. Now when I want to install updates, as usual it requires my user name and password. But after I installed leopard, my old user name and password does not work (my login name does not even show up in the box anymore). I can not install any new software on my computer because of this so called "new password." Any assistance would be greatly appreciated because this is very frustrating since I just purchased an iPhone and I can't sync it because I need the new version of itunes.

can you log in at all as another user? if not activate root and log in as root using [these instructions|http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1278]. then look in the /Users folder at the top level of the hard drive. do you see the home directory with your old username there? post back with what you find.

I have followed all of the suggestions and usernames and passwords are not saved. This feature did work until I install Firefox 4 and still with Firefox 5.

email stopped working. does not accept username and password. keychain repair works. password verified. still doesnt work. when I tried to pay for a new account it would not let me use my original name and password, saying they were already in use!

Starts up like the first time you buy a new Mac, but after filling in all that info again, you should have access to the computer and the other Users & files will still be there... though I was just thinking, this new User probably shouldn't be the same name as an existing one.

Display login as Name and Password not working?

Oddly, in Yosemite, with my system preference (under Users & Groups) set to display a request Name and Password at login, whenever my machine is reboot/restarted, i shows a login window with all the available user accounts (list of users).
has anyone else figured out this bug?
the Name and Password dialog does come up after the machine is woken from sleep, but not when the machine is restarted...
(this removes one level of security since a third party then only needs a password, as opposed to both a user name and password) to login to the machine.

i'm not claiming i know anything special. i'm just saying that something changed or there is some weird bug going on with my macbook air running Yosemite.
if you are calling the "pre-boot login screen" the one that comes up when you power up your Mac from being completely powered down, this is the one i'm concerned/talking about.
historically, going back to 10.0, just like all unix machines i've used over the decades, on this screen, one is prompted with a simple two blank login which requires both a username and password, as long as the system preference was set to this option. of course, if the system is set to display a "list of users," it would show that instead.
the "toggle" in the System preference is certainly there, and behaves as i expect on my 10.10.2 Mac Pro (2010), but it doesn't do anything on my 10.10.2 Macbook Air (2013). i really think this is a bug because this feature/setting has existed for many years and variations of Mac OS X.

Admin name and password not working

I recently upgraded to leopard and I just tried to install a printer and it asked for an admin name and password. I only have one account on my powerbook. My name and password work to unlock the computer when waking from sleep but is being rejected in the system preferences panel. I know I have the name and password right and that I am the only admin account. Please help.

At the top of the Leopard discussion pages, there's a yellow box, suggesting that you read one of Apple's "known problems and workarounds" documents. This problem is one of those discussed.

FTP Username and Password not saving?

I have dreamweaver CS5 for Mac but whenever I shut the application down and re-open it it forgets the FTP Password that I set in "Site Manager" even though I have ticked the box that says save.
Anyone having this problem or got a possible solution??

Make sure dreamweaver is closed when you reset the keychain (Closed as in quit not minimised). Then give it about a quarter of an hour before using dreamweaver.
Mine didn't work straight away but after opening dreamweaver and typing in the ftp information it remembered it.

Chances are you mis-typed a character in the Wifi password and the devices saved that information. Now whenever you try to connect the device refers to the wrong password and the Jetpack does not accept your connection. Tell your devices to forget the wireless connection and start over.
Once you enter the proper WiFi credentials the Jetpack will allow you to connect.

Using my Web.Mail account with demon (THUS). I can NOT login using Firefox but I CAN with (choke) Internet Explorer. The login names and passwords ARE correct.

Initially, the Demon support desk asked me to reset all my browsing history which did nothing.
I tried Internet Explorer (7.0.5730.11) and this too failed initially but after several tries, I managed to log in and collect my mails.
I then logged out and tried Firefox, which failed (Incorrect log in name or password).
I immediately tried IE again and got in first time.
In Firefox (TOOLS, OPTIONS, SECURITY, EXCEPTIONS), I set web.mail.demon.net to permit the site any access that might have been denied.
The user name and password ARE correct (that would be too easy) but Firefox seems not to send one of these correctly ??? or is not sending something I.E. does.

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the errant extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. Its settings will revert to their defaults. If the extension still causes a problem, remove it permanently or refer to its developer for support.
