i have published it, asigned the role to some users and the content is only seen by those who have super admin role to.
pls help
thx

Hi there,
i found the solution:
the solution is to modify the permission on security zone in this way:
go to System Administration -> Permissions ->Security Zones -> com.sap.nw.wpc -> wpc -> no_safety and open the permissions of this object to add Authenticated Users gruop with this option:
Authenticated Users (Group)  : read

  • Web Page Composer for anonymous user

    Hello everybody,
I configured my portal for Web Page Composer anonymous user access.
I found this document and i follow all steps:
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e06e2dfa-7759-2b10-1c89-e90e6877e606?QuickLink=index&overridelayout=true
but when i launch portal with address:
    http://xxxxxx:50000/irj/portal/anonymous
in the content view i see the portal logon page!!! if i lauch the page whit other user (after log-on) i see the WPS page correctly
    Any suggestion??

And don't forget the anonymous group. Well the things you need to take a second look at are in de doucments.
    - Making CM ready for anonymous access
    - PCD (iviews, pages, folder, etc) should have anonymous access
    - are all the servies configured right
    - And make sure the right group have the right access in CM (KM)

  • View sites without assigning "Web Page Composer" role

I have created a site in web page composer, created a "Test" role in portal and connected it with the site.
Now the requirement is to assign the "Test" role to users so that users can see the output of the sites as a visitor but they should not be assigned the "Web Page Composer" role.
I removed the role "Web Page Composer" from users and assigned them the "Test" role to view the output. As a result, they are able to open the site but do not see any content.

    Hello Arpita,
You should check the initial configuration steps from the online documentation
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/45/3fea9ff34d4a18e10000000a114a6b/frameset.htm
Do you have the Everyone group assigned to the Standard User role (eu_role), and have you assigned your test user to the Everyone group?
    Check the following documentation:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/47/f0f7415e639c39e10000000a155106/frameset.htm

  • Page Personalize in Web Page Composer

    Hi All,
In the Portal, when we goto Page personalize on a particular page, the end user can the able to arrange the iViews based on his interest. So it won't affect anyone in Portal.  Will it be possible in Web Page Composer?  or Is there any option to enable that for the particular web page in WPC?
    Regards,
    Venkatesh. K

    Hi Venkatesh,
your requested scenario is not possible in the web page composer context. Once you publish a page, an output.xml file per page is generated that is rendered as HTML. It is not rendered as portal page where you can do some kind of personalization.
    kind regards,
    Anja

  • Web Page Composer

    Hi,
I am working in EP NW04s SP 14. I am using web page composer for designing a web page. I have followed all the steps and finally assigned the web page in the navigation structure to both the anonymous user and the logged in user. I am able to view the details in logged in user. But the contents are not viewable for an anonymous users.
I have given anonymous access to page layout, iview templates, security zone as mentioned in the thread
Web page composer and end user
We have anonymous access to KM content as specified in the note 837898. But still the contents are not displayed? Any specific reasons?
Consultants worked in WPC, kindly help...
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ganesh N

    Hi Ganesh,
Check my [reply|/thread/916997 [original link is broken]; to this similar post in the Knowledge Management & Collaboration forum.

  • Web Page composer : Localizing Web Sites

    Hi,
I have done a PoC on Localizing Web Sites in web page composer. As you may be aware localization comes with 2 variants. One is the language and the other is the "Region" variant.
I have created region variants in KM admin and have created Web Content using language and region variants. I am able to see the language variants working successfully when the user changes the language.
But how do I get the region variants to work? Online [documentation|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/46/792f9b608c0ad3e10000000a11466f/frameset.htm] s says "...to select the ....region for displaying Web pages, select Personalize in the portal masthead...".
               My challenge is...
              1) How do I get to view and select the "regions" i have created in KM to show up in User Personalization ?
              2) My UME is on ABAP stack. How do I get this to work ?
Any help on this will be much appreciated!
    Regards,
    Winston

    Hi Winston,
To enable end user selection by end user of region, check the configuration steps [here|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/46/71b0701a3601dce10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm] under the section titled Selection by user: Adding an iView for personalizing the region in the portal.
    Hope this helps.

  • Placed iview on webpage in web page composer - get 404

    Hello Gurus,
has anyone come across this please?
I have successfully made Iviews visible to KM for web page composer and so I was able to drag and drop the iview onto the page but immediately got a 404 the requested resource is not available.
the iview has end user read permissions so I dont think it's a permission problem.
    thanks for any advice,
    Tim

    Hi Epexpert,
I have already looked at the log files. You get this message which is puzzling:

particluraly puzzling is the irjj in the path just after the hostname....
the iview I am attempting to add has everyone group read access with end user permissions.
    thanks for looking at this.

  • Approval in Web Page Composer

    hi Gurus,
We are trying to use Web Page Composer and created some web pages, now we have enabled the approval process.
Once we submit for appoval, the approver does not get any notification/mail rergarding the approval.
How do we enable the notification/mail triggering part to the person who has to approve it.
    Thanks in advance.
    Kris

    Hi Paul,
I am following the same document to implement the approval process for web page composer. When submit the wpc page for approval, its not going to the approers' UWL instead its getting published. End users are seeing the modifications on the wpc page.
Am I missing any settings on the system to enable for workflow on the wpc page?
P.S: I enabled approval process on the wpc page (settings->Approval->Enable Approval Process). After enabling the approval process, I see a button (Approval) coming up on the wpc page properties beside the "Publish" button in the design time. When I use this button to submit the wpc page for approval, the wpc page is not staged for approval.
    We are on EP7.0 EhP1 SP4.
    Please advice.

  • Access to WPC Web Pages by Anonymous Users?

    Hello,
i want to give anonymous users access to Web Pages that were created with the Web Page Composer.
    In did the following:
    1. create the Web Pages,Site Navigation etc....
    2. edited the permissions of the site: grant anonymous users Read Access.
3.included the site navigation into the navigation of the anoymous users
When i access the portal as anonymous users and try to open a Web Page, i get a logon screen for Authentification.
I think that there is a problem, that i didn't find any way to set the Authentification Scheme for these Web Pages to "Anonymous". This is the way it has to be done with other iViews.
When i am accessing the page with an authenticated users, i have no problem with displaying the same Web Pages.
Is there anywhere an attribute i need to set? Or is it currently not supported?
    Regards,
    Marcus

    1. Configuration in PCD - go to Content Administration -> Portal Content-> Portal Content -> Web Page Composer -> Container iViews -> WPC
Default Containers. All of the iViews in this location should have the
"anonymous" authentication scheme. The next location which should be
checked is Content Administration -> Portal Content -> Portal Content ->Web Page Composer -> iView Templates. Again all of the iViews should
have the "anonymous" authentication scheme. The same applies to all the
templates which reside in Content Administration -> Portal Content ->
Portal Content -> Web Page Composer -> Page Layout Templates. Finally
check if all the pages which reside in Content Administration -> Portal
Content -> Portal Content -> Web Page Composer -> Page Layouts have the
    "anonymous" authentication scheme.
    2. Configuration in KM - make sure that all the pages, which should be
displayed to an anonymous user have in their permissions the Anonymous
    Users Group.
    3. Security zones - if you go to System Administration -> Permissions ->Security Zones -> com.sap.nw.wpc -> wpc -> no_safety and you open the
permissions of this object, the Anonymous Users group must be added in
    the list.
If all mentioned objects have their setting as described and you still
experience problems (e.g. you see a browser dialog window for
authentication), the reason most probably is, that the KM is not
configured for anonymous access. A full description of the needed steps
    is provided with note 837898.

  • Pictures not loaded in a Web Page Composer site without admin role

    Hello!
I have got an new problem concerning SAP Web Page Composer.
I have created an new site with some paragraphs and some pictures. The problem is when I, with admin role, access this site I am able to see everything. When another user, without admin role, is trying to access this site he is able to see everything but the pictures. All paragraphs or linklists are displayed but the pictures are not available. When giving the user the admin role he also become able to see the pictures.
I know it is a permisson problem but not know where I forgot to set the permissions to "every user". But I do not understand why this is only concerning the pictures and every other Web Page Composer element is displayed properly, although the pictures permissions set to the same as the other elements. When trying to access the pictures by the user without admin role NetWeaver is throwing following exception:

  • Web Page  Composer Questions

    Hey again
Im new to web page composer so here are some questions that i cant seem to find a proper answer to:
1- Im using  a Framework witch have two zones:
                     Header Component - Normal Iview
Content Area - witch changes depending on top level navigation node
This area is mainly build with pages that have detail navigation and a iview to a WPC Page.
My problem is: when i preview the iview's im using in content area i can see the WPC im supposed to see , but when i log in as a user that is supossed to have this framework and content as the only available , this iviews to the WPC content are not really showing. the tray is there but no content inside it.
                  What could be the problem?
2- Im used to have my Custom CSS / JavaScript in components but with wpc that wont be the case anymore as we want people to change content if they want too. is there a way to load CSS's without a "invisible css provider component" ?
    Thanks

    Hi Vijayalakshmi,
An entry point provider makes one or more folders available as links that you can access from a central point.
    Please refer to this.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/f6/da3340284e7a56e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
In this context as soon as you create an entry point, you can upload site specific/ global content and  images or documents into these folders
Let me know if you still have any questions on it.

  • Web Page Composer - Ordering Automatic lists in Alphabetical order

Sorry if this is in the wrong place (newbie here)
I'm trying to order an 'Automatic list' in Alphabetical order - based on page name/title
So within WPC I have a folder with 10 or so web pages in them. and the next level up I have a page with the 'Dynamic Content' element.
Within the 'Additional' field of the 'Dynamic Content' element I am able to 'orderBy=modified' or 'orderBy=created' but cannot seem to do what I would think is straightforward and order alphabetically by either name or title.
Am I missing something simple and obvious?
Or should I actually be trying to do this by modifying the XSL Template that controls the presentation?
Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi Alessio,
have a look at at this thread:
    <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/thread?threadID=599765">Link for your error message</a>
Or maybe it is because your WPC isn't fully configured for anonymous access.
To configure it for anonymous access, try this:
I think the your error message could be solved with the first link.
But afterwards you need to perform the steps mentioned above.

    Marcus

  • SAP Web Page Composer: Detailed Navigation is not getting built

    Hello!
I am new at this forum. At first I´d like to say hello to everybody! :]
    Our issue concerns the following:
We started to work mit the Web Page Composer to build websites für our workers. Everything worked fine until the detailed WPC-navigation is not getting built anymore. We have this issue after a portal restart. Every steps to build and publish a website were done the right way.
    1. Publish navigation und paste it to the external connector of the role in the form "wpcnavigation:///wpcontent..."
    2. Permissions and security zones were set. Even the super admin is not able to see the detaild navigation anymore.
It is still possible to put single webpages to iViews and then to display them in the portal. And every function of the Web Page Composer works fine. The caches are deactivated. I tried to build a new site with new pages and a new navigation but there is the same problem, no detailed navigation is shown in the portal navigation. The role is assigned to a user and he can see the role at the top navigation but when clicking on it no detailed navigation appears, just a blank page.
As I mentioned this iusse appears after a portal restart. What could be the problem?
    Thank you in advance!
    Best regards
    Georg

    Hello Sandeep!
I created a new role and also did the Initial Configurations but it still does not work. May be there is a problem with the external connector where I connect the WPC navigation with the portal navigation? I know it sounds confusing but is there may be a way I could "reset" the WPC configuration? Because at the moment I tried to merge roles the system saved "some configuration" and started to avoid displaying the detailed navigation. So if could delete/reset/change this configuration, it could be that the navigation will be displayed again? I do not unterstand, if I just use one role and so avoid merging roles it just should work again? Or I am on the wrong way? Hopefully I am not telling bull**** right now! :]
At this moment our system running SAP NetWeaver 7.00 SP18. The patch is only available at least SAP NetWeaver 7.00 SP20. We are probably going to upgrade in october to SAP NetWeaver 7.00 SP23 and then we can update the WPC, too. Our Basis said, I have to wait till october. Before this upgrade no updates will be done.
Thanks for your help so far!
    Kind regards!

  • Approval process in Web page composer

    Hi there,
We are building static pages using web page composer and trying to implement the KM approval process for those static pages. Now my questions are:
    1. What should be the value I need to give for the folders for service permissions (Layout, collaboration,Full control etc...) for anonymous users
    2. What should be the value I need to give for the folders for service permissions (Layout, collaboration,Full control etc...) for users with approval authorities
    Your help is highly appreciated
    Regards,
    Ponraj M

    Hi,
The approval process has nothing to do with the service permissions. It's regular permissions you should be concerned about, for example: If a user is a permissions owner of a folder then he will be able to skip the approval process or If a user has only read permissions then he will be able to view only approved documents.
    Best regards,
    Avishai Zamir

  • Add Portal iView to Web Page in Web Page Composer

I would like to add a Portal iView to a web page using Web Page Composer.  What are the steps to be able to do this?
We are using NetWeaver 2004s with SP16.
    Thank you for your assistance.
    Alex

    Hi Le,
I configured a Global Entry Point.  These are the steps:
    1.  Choose System Administration ® System Configuration ® Knowledge Management ® Content Management ® User Interface ® (Show Advanced Options) ® Mapping ® Component
    2.  Edit the wpcDragExplorerEntryPoints configuration object.
In the Parameters field, you can enter the following properties:
    Property:  displaymode
    Description:  Specify select
    Property:  maxproviderprio
Description:  Enter a value for the highest priority number that standard entry points can have and still be displayed in the Web content browser The priority of standard entry points is between 3 and 80. For a list of standard entry points and their priorities, see the configuration at Content Management ® Repository Managers ® Entry Point Providers ® Entry Point Provider.
    Property:  entriesperrow
Description:  Number of entry points displayed in each row (default: 5)
    Property:  entrypointsprefix
Description:  Prefix of the entry point repository.  If you specify a value for this parameter, standard KM entry points are also displayed in the Web content browser.  Default: /entrypoints
    Property:  sharedcontent
Description:  Semicolon-separated list of paths to be displayed as global entry points for shared content
Example of a complete specification in the Parameter field:
    displaymode=select,maxproviderprio=30,entriesperrow=5,sharedcontent=/wpccontent/Cross-Site Content;/documents/MyFolder
