Web Page for Guest Wireless
Hi.
I was wondering if someone could help me with the easiest way to set up a Web Page to control Guest Wireless access on Cisco AP 1130AG.
I was using PEAP and Dot1x to Active Directory but the messing around required on some clients (namely XP and Vista) means it is not ideal for random and unexpected guests.
How can I set up an Open Authentication method (or whatever I need) that then defaults to a web page or logon page for access to the network itself? I have seen this in other companies so it must be do-able.
Just for information a standard WPA2 key for the SSID is insufficient as we want a logon page and user credentials that are changeable.
I hope someone can help.
Are you using the AP with a lightweight controller, or standalone (autonomous)?
The lightweight controllers have this capability. Standalone APs do not.

HT201317 How do I create a web page for my slideshow?
I created a slideshow. I exported it, so now it is in my iTunes...and where else, I admit I do not know. When I exported it, I didn't understand where I was exporting TO.
Anyway, I know I saw somewhere that I can create a web page for my slideshow that will allow my family to come (by invitation) to view the slideshow.
How do I do this?
Any help will be appreciated since I spent about 12 hours putting this show together and now would like to share it with my family.
Thanks!
peace. That's done with iPhoto in creating a Shared Photo Stream with the video. The slideshow must be in iPhoto. Then follow the steps in this screenshot:

Do Web pages for phones have to be Apps?
I do not own a mobile phone that is web enabled, and I never designed a web page for phones, but now due to the steep learning curve, I need a quick fix.
Reading the help in Dreamweaver 5.5, there is lots of information about creating the best mobile sites, though at the moment, I don't understand a lot of it - but that's my fault.
However, when I use someone else's phone to look at most existing sites that are just designed for computers to view, the phone has facilities that make the sites available.
Lots of zooming and such which is a pain, but you usually can view them.
It occurred to me that perhaps there is a position mid way between a stock web site and a fully fledged phone app could be a stop gap solution until the whole mess of media queries, and other phone related stuff is understood.
My suggested solution is as follows:
Provide seperate sets of pages for both types at suitable sizes ( max 320 wide for mobiles).
Keep all graphics for phone pages to a minimum size and well optimised to allow for quick page loading.
1.On the index page of the site, put a large link to the phone pages and one to the computer pages so that its easily seen by phone users
2. Design the index page and all phone pages so that the content would fit on a 320 pixel wide screen.
3. Have the first page after the index purely as the menu screen, with a list of links.
4. Each link leads to a deck of stacked pages that that are serially linked back and forth, with a "return to first page" on each one, with the navigation being at the bottom (or the top?) of the page.
To view pages, the phone user would have to select the phone link on the site's index page, then select from the menu to get to the first page of a topic. He can then flick through the linked set of pages and go back to the menu from any. The pages would fit most mobile phones, and no phone specific stuff wopuld be needed.
I appreciate that this method would not provide the most sparkling of mobile web sites, and would require two sets of pages, which is a maintenance problem, but it ought to help phone users to surf my site until I can get up to speed with the mobile stuff.
Question is - would it work?
Your comments please?

Frankly, if you simply do a website using HTML5, you're set for a mobile device. And Dreamweaver 5 and 5.5 both give you code-hinting and definitions for HTML5/CSS3.
jQuery would be the "app" side of that, though if you are really looking to make an application that works on a mobile phone, your best method is to do it in Flash and then compile it using Air. Adobe has a complete discussion of what's required here.
Hi mhollis55
Could you tell me why you describe the jQuery mobile framework as an app?
The framework uses html5, css3 and ARIA, and is designed to make the creation of mobile friendly web pages easier for those who do not wish to commit themselves to learning all the mobile specific features required by modern smartphones and now even supports many of the older smartphone devices, see - http://jquerymobile.com/

Making a blackberry web page for my business
Can I make a blackberry web page for my business off of my 8330 or do I have to use a desk top version of the internet to make a web page? I would really like it if all things that are capable on a desk top were allso capable on my 8330.If anyone knows if this is possible let me know.
All things are not possible on a the BB that possible on a PC. That is why it is a mobile device, and not a PC. Something just require a PC. The BlackBerry doesn't replace a PC totally.
I don't know of any web editing applications used on the BB. There could be, i might have missed it, but I really don't think so.

Archive Web Page for Off Line Use
Hi all,
I'm currently enrolled in an online music program where I have to review/study web pages for my course instruction. These pages contain standard HTML text, graphics, mp3s, multiple flash applications and quite often embedded quick time movies. To date to back these pages up I have physically printed each page and then discretely downloaded and saved all mp3s, flashes, and quick time movies. However, as I'm sure you can guess, this leads to a very disjointed "archive" of paper product, separate quick time movies, and flash applications. So here's the question:
Is anyone aware of an archive utility that will save a web page like above in it's entirety onto my mac for off line use? I have seen a few web archive tools like I'm looking for, but all appear to be for Windows or older versions of mac OS. So any direction would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Rick.Hi
Welcome to Apple Discussions
Give this utility a try. The way this works. After you install the app. in your Applications folder, open it. A panel appears.
Then go back to Safari. Open the web page you want to archive. File>Save As. When the panel opens make sure the drop down menu is set to "Web Archive". Then go to the location where you saved that page. Move the web archive file onto the Utility's panel. This will create a folder with the various web components for that web site.
Also, either update your tag to your current version of OS X Leopard, or if 10.5.2 is correct, consider upgrading to 10.5.5 via Software Update.

Firefox 8.0 will not load web pages for multiple Windows XP users
We're running Windows XP 5.1 SP3 with two user accounts. After upgrading to Firefox 8.0, Firefox will no longer load web pages for the second user when the first user is logged in and running Firefox. (We typically use "Switch User" as opposed to logging out when taking turns at the computer.)
I guess that was a possibility
I gave up on version 8
I uninstalled it, googled version 7 and installed that and now it runs fine when I switch user to user
Thanks for the help I'll take it into consideration if I update again -
Printing Solutions for Guest Wireless
So this is something that has been bouncing around the forums for a year or two now. I have failed to come up with a "best-of-breed" approach that meets the strict security requirments of a government department.
The scenario is this - the wireless platform is based around centralised Wism controllers in a datacentre and an anchor controller (for guest wireless) in a dmz, we have WCS to manage the components including the Lightweight Access-Points (mainly Cisco 1142N's) with a Cisco NGS to act as both hotspot and as the client credentials RADIUS authority. it works great except for printing which simply isn't currently an option.
The solution services a wide number of geographic locations - all members of the one guest SSID and mobility group. Since clients that connect to this are effectively DMZ'd and only able to connect to the internet, I am struggling to find a practical way to provide printing specific to each geographic site without going for a cloud service such as "Drop-box", or "PrinterON"
Has anyone out there in the Community come up with any innovative approaches to this connundrum? If so please join the conversationHi, I've encountered the same issue. Did you find a solution?

Web Based Registration for Guest Wireless Access
I just started a project to make a guest wireless network available at every site in my enterprise. Guest wireless networks are currently available at some sites. Two key goals of this project is to enable WPA/WPA2 encryption and to develop a web based registration/autentication solution. All of the sites have a mixture of 1230, 1240, and 1250 autonomous access points. What do I need to do/get in order to make this happen?
You should get a WLC and upgrade the 1240 and 1250 and replace the 1230's if they are in remote sites.
The WLC has a Webauth feature that is great. You can define users on the WLC also if you wish.
Guest access should always be open authentication with the use of a Webauth page. This makes it easy and you won't have to help manage guest access. Autonomous ap's and to have a splash page will require a 3rd party software or you can use a Cisco NAC guest server.
Search for Cisco Wireless Guest Access or Webauth and you will see many docs on this type of setup.

Setting up webauth for guest wireless access
Hi there,
I'm trying to set up guest wireless access. having no experience with this at all, I'm beginning to struggle.
Equipment:
2x 3850 stacked and acting as one switch running 03.06.00E
4x 1602E AP's registered to the WLC running on the 3850
The infrastructure is sound and corporate wireless access works ok.
I need a config that allows a guest user to connect to the guest SSID, DHCP an address, then when they open a browser, they are automatically redirected to a splash screen for them to log on. Once they log on with the supplied username and password they are then forwarded to whatever site it is they wish to go to; So far my config looks like this (removed unnecessary parts for brevity);

I carried out a wireshark trace and can see the dhcp ok, then see DNS queries to the DNS name serever and the replies, followed by a TCP SYN to the resolved IP of the website requested - but that's it, there is no SYN ACK reply or redirect to the login page which i have placed on the flash and specified under 'custom-page login'
I am under the impression that the way this should work is as follows;
1. Client connects to SSID and carries out DHCP DORA and is assigned an IP address
2. open browser on client and carry out name resolution
3. once name is resolved, carry TCP three way handshake with requested site (e.g. google)
4. once three way handshake is completed client carries out an HTTP GET request
5. WLC holds the response and redirects to the login page
6. on successful login, original requested page is forwarded to client.
I can't seem to get a response - even if I remove the ACL.
Am i heading in the right direction or am I trying to achieve something which is not possible with my setup?

ISE Custom AUP for Guest Wireless
Hi All,
I am trying to setup Guest wireless using Cisco ISE for the first time. Under Multi-Portal Configurations, i was hoping to be able to edit the DefaultGuestPortal profile so that I could change the wording of the AUP from Cisco's Blurb. Can anyone point me in the direction where I can do this? The only alternative I can see is to create a new portal from scratch.
Cheers
BrianMultiPortal Configurations
Cisco ISE provides you with the ability to host multiple guest portals in the Cisco ISE server. The Guest user portal has a default Cisco look and feel. These pages are dynamically generated to offer portal features such as change password and self-registration in the Login Screen.
You can use the Multi-portal configuration to upload set of GUI pages specific to your organization to handle the Login, AUP, Change Password and Self Registration. In order to access an uploaded client portal the guest portal URL must include the name of the portal specified during the upload.
You can design and upload HTML pages to define new guest portals or replace the default guest portal. These pages must use plain HTML code and must contain form actions that point to the guest portal backend servlets. You must define separate HTML pages for login, acceptable use policy (AUP), the change-password function, and self-registration.

Separate Internet service for Guest Wireless
Hi all,
I was reading about security concerns having guest wireless sharing the corporate Internet services and therefore looking towards the path where a separate basic Internet serivce can be provided for them keeping the corporate side safe.
In doing that what i was thinking would be the way:
Extend the Guest Wireless VLAN from the core switch where the SVI is currently at to the new ADSL router's Inside interface. And in doing that I will need to configure the ADSL router for the right DHCP scope and DNS entries and finally remove the SVI from the core switch so it simple does switching across to this ADSL service.
Let me know if i am on the right track or if i am missing something.
Regards!Hi George,
it is a simple setup with just one controller. and the WLC is talking to the ISE to authenticate including the web auth login for the guest.
So to ans your Q, i think No, the WLC deosnt push the guest to the DMZ. the guest VLAN is hanging off the core switch at the moment. and using their corporate Internet service.
i hope the above answered your doubts. Cheers! -

Using 3rd party WEB redirect for Guest authentication
I'm currently using (Internal) WEBAuth on the WLC for my guest WLAN but my management would like a simlper method. Some external WEB page that the guest user can fill out a form and enter some information such as name, location and email address and they would get a cookie or something that would provide then guest access for some period of time. Does anyone know of such a product?
Thanks,
GaryI don't see how that is different from web passthrough on the WLC where the user has to type his information but doesn't need a password ...
Have you looked at the Nac Guest Server ? It's an appliance especially made for that purpose.
The upcoming ISE has also some cool unified guest features. -
A good enhancement to iweb would be to have a model to make a mobile-friendly web site. Somebody knows whether this is in the plan of Apple to provide framework in iWeb to make a web page adapted for iPhone and other smartphone?
Jacques ~ Welcome to the Support Communities. We're just users like yourself here — so we don't know what Apple's plans are. Alternatives to iWeb adapt their site content to smartphones, e.g.
