Web page statistics & trends tools?

Does anyone know of software to support monitoring web page statistics & trends for a JSF-based application running on Tomcat 5.5x app server?

You can ignore that part of the posted text, you can only hide the menu bar on the Windows platform and not on Mac OS X and Linux.
On Windows you can press the F10 key to make the Menu bar appear if it is hidden. If a plugin has focus then the keyboard won't work and you need to click somewhere in the user interface (e.g. location bar)

Pdf WEB PAGES - MISSING SNAPSHOT TOOL (and others)

I recently installed Adobe reader 9 and this has been a severely retrograde move. My university course makes ALL our lecture notes and documents avaialble OVER OUR INTRANET (i.e. as WEB PAGES) as pdf documents - we used to be able to simply click on the link and view them in a webpage, then use the Adobe snapshot tool whenever necessary to extract pictures or text from the notes (which often have ENORMOUS variations in font size and picture resolution WITHIN the ONE DOCUMENT) and paste them into a temporary document in order to blow them up and print them out so we can SEE them. They also often needed to be ROTATED before they could be printed out.
Now however, the Adobe reader 9, when we view these documents IN A WEB PAGE, has NO tools that allow us to do these VERY IMPORTANT MEASURES to make our lecture notes READABLE. All it allows us to do is to print it as it is!
In an incredibly demanding and intensive course, we now have to WASTE TIME we can ILL AFFORD by saving the document (which we DON'T WANT or NEED TO SAVE) and THEN OPEN it, use the tools which suddenly appear in Adobe reader 9 when opening a saved document, do what we need to do to print out something readable, then remember to delete what we've saved.
This we have to do OVER and OVER AGAIN - it is UNELIEVABLY INCONSIDERATE and ANNOYING.
We are already under HUGE pressure in our course, and students in the REAL WORLD do NOT have rich American mummies and daddies who pay all our expenses - we CANT AFFORD to buy every new expensive Adobe program just because our university decides to use pdf for everything.
If anyone has information that there IS a way to do snapshots, rotation etc on a pdf document VIEWED IN A WEB PAGE, could you please advise us here? Thankyou!

Thnakyou for your reply - there's definitley no way the uni will change their standard format, and it's really not their fault anyway. I wanted to re-load Adobe 7 but can't find it anywhere on the Adobe website, and do not want to risk loading it from elsewhere!

Can some body help me out finding the WPC tool for SAP Netweaver 7.1 CE version? All i can find in SAP portal is for WPC tool for SAP WAS 7.0 (2004s) version.

Hi,
No you would find that business package also for 7.1. I doubt if SAP has released any business package for 7.1. CE 7.1 was especially meant for building and deploying composite applications. For all other usage types you would have to go for NW 2004s Portal aka EP 7.0

Yahoo is my home page and now that I have downloaded your latest version, as stated in a note from you the tool bar is incompatible. So....how do I print or save a web page if I don't have my tool bar!! I'm not happy with this - please help.

You've moved stuff around so the tabs are at the top instead of my tool bar. I no longer have the means then to copy and paste, print, etc. when I pull up information I might want to keep from a web page. When I downloaded Version 4 a message came across from Firefox that the newer version is not compatible with the Yahoo toolbar. How then do I operate these functions? I'm not a techie, and was happy with my old Firefox. Not a happy camper now. Can you help???

Wow! You know, I tried a variation of that, which was a complete guess, and of course it was absolutely wrong.
I had no idea you could stack DATE_FORMAT one after the other! I researched this for a LONG time and nothing came up like what you suggested, so thank you for this! I hope that this thread helps others who are or will soon be in my shoes. This forum is the BEST!!!

Allt he links in the header of any websites are not working, I reinstalled fiorefix and it s the same. No problem in others browser. the tool bar is working but not the link sinside the web page located between the top 300px height

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Font too small on all web pages, including e-mail even though I have tried to make it larger in options on tools menu.

This seems to have happened after I received the update to 3.6.10. I have also had a variety of updates from Microsoft lately.
I also have my font set extra large in the display area of the control panel in Windows XP and the tool bars of Firefox are in the size, no change there, only in web pages and e-mail.

If you need to adjust the font size on websites then look at:

In Firefox 3.6 on Windows you can hide the menu bar via "View > Toolbars" or via the right click context menu on a toolbar.
Press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the menu bar.
Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the menu bar or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide.

Poor fonts in web pages, cannot change using Tools/Options

Downloaded firefox 3.6 using windows xp. Web pages show very poor fonts. Unable to change fonts using the Tools/Options.

You can enable ClearType system wide for all programs to make other programs like Firefox use it.

Firefox 6.0 is the current version.
Get what denoted in what properties link.
You can get the version number in Help -> About Firefox,
and in '''about:support''' typed into the Location bar, and you can use JavaScript to list the user agent -- javascript:navigator.userAgent
I'm not aware of any version of Firefox from Fx 2 on up to Fx 6 where "AVG Safe" is not a problem. Crashes aren't the only failures caused.

After upgrading to 8.0 the add-on compatability tool runs and the Getting Started web page loads every time the browser starts.

After upgrading to 8.0 from 7.0.1 every time I start FF I get the add-on compatibility tool to run and the Getting Started web page loads along with my homepage in separate tabs as well. So far I have tried running the installer again, disabling all add-0ns and custom settings and restarting and turning off automatic updates. Nothing worked there. I got the same behavior each time. I don't know what else to try other than a full uninstall and reinstall. Something I'd like to avoid if it's possible because of the time involved. This is the second time I have posted regarding this issue. The first time I didn't get a response. A solution or a possible workaround would be greatly appreciated if anyone knows of any. As a staff member and a global forum moderator for an anti-virus company I understand how hectic things can be at times but some feedback, good or bad, on this issue would be very welcomed! Hi michaell, thanks for the reply. I tried everything in the Preferences are not saved link you provided and nothing worked there. If creating a new profile will delete all my add-ons and custom settings I might as well just do a complete uninstall and reinstall. That actually would be easier. That article told me how to save my bookmarks though so I don't have to loose those which is nice. I don't know if this makes any difference but there is a discrepancy between the preference file in the article which is: prefs.js and what's showing on my PC which is: prefs with no .js suffix. I tried to rename the file to prefs.js and restarted. No luck there either. It just created another prefs file. I guess we've pretty much exhausted all the avenues to try! Link Tool - Hyperlink too long - Adobe cutting it short - web page not launching

Hi,
I have been trying to add a hyperlink by using the Link Tool. But when I paste the Hyperlink into the available section the link tool cuts the final elements of the hyperlink. When you therefore click on the hyperlink the web page you want is not displayed correctly.
Is there a way to increase the number of characters in the link tool to accomodate web sites that are longer that the standard norm?

There is no link tool in Adobe Reader.

How to change font size on web page when have no icon in View tool to do so

menu bar at top of screen does not have icon to change font size of a web page as described in your support information--you show it as between stop and reload in View icon and I do not have it at all in my toolbar.

Is there a way to find exactly when a certain web page was visited? I know if I go to Tools/Page Info, I can see how many times that page was visited, but I would like to know if I can find the exact time and date. Thank you.

You can find the last time a web page was visited by using the Library.
In the History menu select "Show All History" to open the Library. You can use the Library to view the history, and by default it will show the last date & time the site was visited. If the Visit Date column is not visible, within the Library select Views, then Show Columns, then Visit date to display that column.

My screen view is too wide, causing me to slide view bar constantly. I want the web page to fit correctly and keep my upper tool bars.

How do I set Firefox so that when I am viewing web pages, I do not constantly need to re-zoom the new page, or, use my bottom slide bar from side to side just so I can read the information I am looking for?
My preference would by the page to "JUST FIT"my screen. And of course, keep my work bars where they are at top and bottom.
I am running Windows XP, I am using a "ASUS wide screen monitor. (A VS197 LCD)

There are add-ons like [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/readability/ Readability] which reformat a page more thoroughly, but I don't know whether there is one which changes the page's width settings to fit within your window.
If most pages look right at a certain reduced zoom level, you can use an extension to set that as your standard zoom level.
