Web page viewing in portrait view

I have 2 LCD monitors. I have one in landscape, and changed one to portrait.
I fire up Firefox to view webpages.
I keep having to use the scroll bar at the button to see the full page.
My question is: How can I view a full web page without needing a scroll bar?

Thank you.
I have taken the Adobe tutorial and made a website that displays at about 320px for mobile, and if you stretch that window to 768 it then pops into a layout for tablet and of you stretch that window to full size it is a desktop layout.
My question is this.
If someone with a mobile phone goes to the website and the layout displays at the 320px layout...
...do they have to wait for the weight of the other two sizes (mobile and desktop) to also load along with the mobile view?
Or is it just the data, images, etc that show in the mobile size?
I need to make fancy (image heavy) desktop index pages that scale to the tablet and the mobile sizes depending on what device accesses the page
Here is my practice site.
Pls view it in an HTML5 compatible browser.
If you look at it in full size the content is about 1126 wide.
Drag the edge of the window until it scales down to tablet. About 768 pixels.
Then drag it really narrow until the mobile version shows.
Does the weight of all the sizes load into the mobile view when someone with a mobile phone goes to the site?
Or will it hang up the mobile view because all the pixel heavy, fancy scmancy stuff in the large desktop view loads (unseen) along with the mobile view?
Thanks!

  • Webi Page View Not Displaying Page Size Correctly.

    Hi Everone,
I have an issue with one report where the page size sttings do not translate when viewed in HTML Page View.
Figure one is the report as seen in the editor - as you can see the page is displayed correctly - A4 Portrait:
And, when the report is viewed in PDF mode - again, no issues:
But when viewed in HTML page view - it blows out the width of the page:
Now this report, as far as I can tell, is set up no differently than 6 others that are designed to be printed as PDF, all of which do not display this behaviour.
We design them to be printed as PDF but present them to the user in HTML Page view in order to allow injected JavaScript’s in the report to be run. This does not happen when you jump directly into PDF mode.
I have checked in design view and I don't have any wayward report elements pushing out the width and the PDF renders correctly which would not happen if there were hidden elements causing issues, it would render a bunch of blank pages.
So, I am at a loss. The page view is correct in edit mode and in PDV view mode but not in HTML page view. Has anyone else had this issue? I can’t work out why this happens only in one report when all the others work properly.
    HELP!!!

    Hi,
I think it may be <div class="html5gallery-viral-0"> (contains the social media buttons) // screencasteu.worldsecuresystems.com/AP/2013-08-01_1033.png
It's the only element that isn't in sync with the other elements on page, when compared to home.html for example.

  • Web Page Viewing With I Pod touch

Hello, I would like to know what I have to do to view web pages on my i pod. I'm connected to my wireless at my home on the i pod but can't view any web pages such as I-tunes, or Delta.com. Please advise. Thanks Craig

I had exactly the same problem when I first got my Ipod.
What I am presuming you want to do is set up multiple albums on your IPOD. How you do this is set up various sub-directories within your main picture directory on your host computer (the computer hosting ITunes). So lets say you want a library called "Birthday Pics", then set up a subdirectory inside your picture directory and put the relevent pics inside that subdirectory. You can set up as many subdirectories of varying content as you wish.
When you sync with your IPOD, the pictures will show up on the IPOD in a main library of all of your pics, plus it will set up sub-libraries holding the various relevent pics for that library (or subdirectory).
    Hope this helps.

You can't but you can navigate to Google and add that to your homescreen as a shortcut.  Press the arrow on the bottom.

I designed a website last month with dreamweaver with no

Browsers are quite forgiving. Dreamweaver is not a browser.

  • Creating photo album in historical order for web page viewing

I am trying to use Photoshop Elements 7 for Windows to create a photo album of historical images for our college archives. The photos were scanned from old pictures so defaulted to sort by the date scanned. I have edited the album by dragging and dropping the pictures to arrange them from the earliest picture of our first building through the years to the present. When this album is viewed on the webpage through www.photoshop.com/ the pictures do not display in the correct order. Can this be changed and if so, how?

After you first sync a PSE 7 album with Photoshop.com, any changes you make to the ordering of pics in the album in PSE arent synced back to Photoshop.com and vice versa. Youll have to manually reorder them in Photoshop.com.
A couple of suggestions for your project:
    - Consider assigning dates to the photos in PSE using Edit > Adjust Date And Time. That way, theyll show up correctly ordered in the PSE Organizer, and you can easily add new scanned photos and theyll automatically get ordered.
    - Consider using Flickr, Smugmug, or other online service rather than Photoshop.com. Photoshop.com is brand new and has a number of basic bugs in its service it doesnt preserve ordering of albums, it mangles the dates/times of photos, synchronization frequently stalls. Maybe in another six months itll be more robust.

You need to do the basic troubleshooting steps described in the User Guide, Appendix B.
    Restart phone
    Reset phone
Restore in iTunes using a backup
Restore in iTunes as new, without using a backup
If restoring as new doesn't help, there is a hardware failure in the phone that needs evaluation by Apple.

  • Master Page Header and Footer in Page Viewer Web Part

    Hi.
I created a View in Pages Library to view specific folders.
After that i added one Page Viewer web part to one of the aspx page.
There in the Page Viewer web part properties Link i have provided the url of the view.
It is displaying the folders but at the same time it is displaying the master page header and footer inside the web part.
Now i need to display the folders alone inside the Page Viewer web part.
Please let me know how to exclude the master page header and footer inside the Page Viewer web part?
    Regards,
    Sudheer
    Thanks & Regards, Sudheer

I think that is the default behavior of the page viewer webpart.
In the page viewer web part, your just enter the url of the website. So that is treated as webpage and it is displaying as per page.

If you want to display a folder, type in a network path to that folder under Link and the folder content will be displayed.

  • How do I view my web pages in the browser again?

I was able to work on my web pages in Dreamweaver MX2004 and view them in a browser until 3 days ago.  I have also been able to make changes on my web pages which showed up in my website until around 3 days ago.  i am very frustrated. I can no longer view them in a browser or make changes that show up on my website.   Any suggestions?

I didn't install anything new.  I am using Windows 7 on a new computer and had successfully gotten my Dreamweaver installed and running.  I was able to view my pages in the browser just fine.  I made changes to my site just fine.  Now when i go to F12 to preview in the browser, all I get is a blank page showing my connection number to my web host and in little letters at the top, it says "pageok".  I have always seen the page and could correct any mistakes, but now I can't see the page.  It's also unbelievable the changes I have tried to make on some pages show up in my local and remote pages on my computer but do not show up when I go to the website.

Obviously, as seen above, I'm doing something wrong or Live View does not do all the functions that Design View use to do.  I realize I can still access Design View in non-Fluid Grid Layout documents and that is my current work-around.  I copy from my Word file into Design View available in non-Fluid, then copy that code into my Fluid Grid Layout document, not real efficient use of my time.  And, even that work-around may not be available after the next upgrade.

Hans thank you for your reply and attention to this matter.  Moreover, with your steeped expertise I do not, in any fashion, intend to be flippant or capricious.
However, I do not believe the reply is on point since I'm not discussing the insertion of an HTML tag/element; but rather, the placing of complex formatted text into my various web pages.
Design View and  2014.1 Live View seem to serve different functions.  That is, Design View, for us, serves as a highly sophisticated HTML5 code generator that allows us to properly display complex formatted text that originally is created as a Word docx file.  As I noted in my original post, the complex formatted text from the Word file is then pasted into Design View and thus properly renders on the web page.  I invite you to try this yourself.  Simply copy my properly formatted text in my original post (that can be found at "Using Design View the web page rendered this way:") to a Word file, and it will retain the complex formatting, then copy that Word file text to both Design View and  2014.1 Live View files.  Please apprise me of your results.
Discussion has been had in at least two separate threads on the Design View disappearance in Fluid Grid.  In https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1597260 staff member Lalita wrote "It would be helpful for us if you list the issues you are seeing with fluid grid live view editing."  And in https://forums.adobe.com/message/6807088#6807088 staff member Subhadeep wrote "If you can list down the workflows you are trying while editing in Live View & the issues you are facing in doing so, it will help us understand what is amiss & suggest alternative workflows to do the same."  I believe I've pointed out issues when attempting to use Live View for functions or work flow that customarily had been done in Design View.
Being a CC subscriber, if someone can provide me with a workflow using other additional Adobe products to get my complex formatted text from Word ultimately to my Dreamweaver web page, be it an image insert or whatever, I would take the suggestions.
The difference in the coding of my example in my original post is as follows.
Code when using Design View is:
    <p><strong>Research &amp; Analytics Director</strong><br>

It is readily apparent that Design View is a much needed code generator in the Dreamweaver product.  Live View serves completely other, and needed, purposes.  Therefore, I still, after all the forum discussions, do not understand why Design View has been removed from Fluid Grid.
Again Hans thank you for your reply.  But unless I'm missing something, citation to the links you provided does not solve my problem.  And that problem is this: If Design View is on its way out and thus will be completely removed from Dreamweaver at some point, then how do I provide my information (i.e. complex executive job descriptions) on my website?
Apparently a vote is taking place https://forums.adobe.com/ideas/3922 on the issue of placing Design View back into Fluid Grid.  I do not understand why the need for two rather disjunctive functionalities are at the mercy of the democratic process.  These are matters of engineering principles not "town hall gatherings".

  • How can I icrease the view size of a web page so that it is easier to read

I have a problem reading small print on a web page. I would like to increase the viewing sizeto a larger per centage (150% vice !00%)

The Firefox [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Page+Zoom Page Zoom] feature does a domain by domain level of saving the users preferred zoom level settings, there is no default Page Zoom level setting in Firefox, as with some other browsers.
Try the Default FullZoom Level extension: <br />

  • Is there a way to view only desktop versions of web pages on the iPad?

Samsung galaxy a smaller actual mobile has the option to do this.. I've seen this question before and some people were wrong in saying that its up the programming discretion of the host website. It doesn't work for every site on my galaxy but it does for majority of pages I try it on. This tablet screen resolution and processor should allow any and every web page to be fine with viewing desktop versions and not limited mobile versions. This is why I try to tell my friends Apple is amazing but they aren't superior to all others. It's like being a sheltered kid who finished school and is working for his dads company (apple ) vs being out in the real world  (windows)
    I digress..
Is there an app I can download or some way I can program my iPad myself so it only opens desktop versions and gets flash player ? Also if anyone knows any websites where I can teach myself programming codes and mods that would really help also. Thanks

There are third-party browser apps that have settings within them to identify themselves as full browsers e.g. Atomic Web, and I believe the iCab Mobile browser also does (I don't have it so i can't check)
iCab indeed does allow for that

  • Is it possible to view two web pages side by side on Safari

I am looking for a command that would put two or more web pages(or any open windows) side by side or even stacked so they can be viewed simultaneously. I know you can do this by resizing the the windows but I was wondering if there something already within Safari or Mac that would do the sizing automatically for you.
I remember back in the old Windows 3.1 days there was a Panel option under in the window menu that would this. And I also saw that this is possible in Windows 7 now. Surely, Mac has a way!
    Thanks,
    Casa

I misnamed this the option I am looking for. It is called "Tiling". After some research I found out that this is one of the features that former Windows users miss the most when they come over to Mac. I will have to concur. I don't know why Mac has not added this simple feature.
However, there is a third part app that makes this possible - SizeUp by Irradiated Software. You can download it here - http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/productivity_tools/sizeup.html
There is a limited free version called Two up from the same developer.
