Web Pages Need Renaming On Server to Work

I've recently been creating web pages with Lightroom. I load them to our server, all the needed elements are uploaded properly it seems. however, when I try to access the web page it tells me the page can not be found.
Here's the strange part. I go on to our server and change the name of the folder then change it back to the original name again, the page then shows up when I type it into the web address. I have no idea why this works and what is going on but it's happening with virtually every web gallery I create in Lightroom. Any ideas out there?

If You rename the folder and change it back again it almost seems like You are mixing up lowercase and uppercase letters.
http://foo.bar/Gallery/ are not the same as http://foo.bar/gallery/ on most (as in most webservers run Apache on *Nix).
A change from "gallery" to "renamed" and back to "gallery" are not doing anything else but giving You a couple of more keystrokes.

How to resolve network issue or dns to access web page on snow leopard server?

I have my network setup like as follows:
internet > router 1 > ethernet ports > switch > router 2
I have a mac osx snow leopard server connected to "router 1", but it is so slow when accessing a web page hosted on the server from a browser on a workstation connected to either router 1 or router 2?
Is there a problem with my network setup or maybe because I changed the name to newservername.local?

I think it is a DNS issue. I completely reset the DNS settings on server and the local name with the steps below, but now cannot access the site hosted on the server at all
I used a modified version of http://www.mkahn.com/2010/09/configuring-dns-on-mac-os-x-10-6-snow-leopard-serve r-for-hosting/ to reset the server set
1. Stop DNS Service in Server Admin
2. Close Server Admin
3. Obtain 10.6 DNS Default files (below)
4. Overwrite the DNS files with DNS Default files:
/etc/dns/loggingOptions.conf.apple
/etc/dns/options.conf.apple
/etc/dns/publicView.conf.apple
/var/named/named.ca/etc/named.conf
/var/named/named.local
/var/named/localhost.zone
5. Restart your server
All machines have 1ms ping responses within the network including this snow leopard server that I am trying to setup. There is another test web server that return pages instantly within this network so I doubt it is a network issue, but a DNS issue.

Since upgrading to FF6 and now through FF7 web pages need repeated refreshing to load this does not happen with other browsers. I have tried many solutions. None have worked. Any ideas?

Problem began after a Firefox 6 update (i do not remember which one) and has continued through current use of Firefox 7.0.1. Almost all '''web pages load only through repeated refreshing'''. If I do not refresh the web page it will just continue to try to load (as seen by the green rotating ring continually revolving) in a new window with a new tab (as I have set it to do). Nothing stops, nothing crashes. Once the web page completes and opens (after the refreshings) I can close the window click on the bookmark icon or originating link and the web page will load and open quickly (as it should). I have searched for solutions on the Mozilla site and have done many of the possible solutions (deleting history and caches, etc.) Problem seems to be communication in origin (my FF browser talking to web page server). I do not use a proxy. My set up to the internet is: laptop thru Verizon USB modem to internet. Operates as a wireless dial-up with speeds averaging 55 kbs (fast enough for me). I have used this set up for years with no previous trouble. Anyone have similar trouble, ideas or solutions?

Thanks for your reply cor-el. I had never heard of nor seen the pref network.http.max-connections until I read about it in some of the replies in this support forum. People were saying 256 was the old setting and a new setting of 48 would correct my problem. When I followed the instructions to get to - see - and change the setting I discovered that my network.http.max-connections was already set to 48. I never did this. The only way I can think of that this setting was changed is that it happened by an automatic update to my Firefox browser. So, the problem I have was probably happening while this setting was at 48 all along. It is still set at 48 and I am still having the same problem. I will try as you suggest and set it to 30 and see what happens. I'll let you know the results. That's again for your response.

On the top of any web page, the hot spots will not work. It seems like the links in the header part of a page is turned off.

On any web page (Facebook, Yahoo, this page) the links on the top of the page will not work. The hot spots seem dead. For this page the Desktop/Mobile/Firefox Home links will not work.

The Yahoo Toolbar has been reported as causing that. Disable it or uninstall it.

Page not displayed on server but works fine locally in Jdeveloper

The page works fine locally when run from Jdeveloper.
But when the page is imported to server and when the page is called....it trys to load the page for long time and times out and displays the IE error 'The Page cannot be displayed'.
Do I have to do anything specific in server after importing a page?

Does Apple host business web pages without the OSX Server?

Does anyone know if Apple hosts business web pages other than what you would get with the iWeb app and MobileMe without the OSX Server?

I would suggest using a third party hosting service "I use IX Web Hosting. MobileMe simply does a domain mask. IX Web Hosting offers reasonable pricing, unlimited bandwidth, & dedicated IP addresses just to name a couple features.

Web pages will not load on iMac (worked yesterday)

I have had my iMac for a week and tonight it will not load web pages through safari of firefox. My ipad, iphone and PC are on the same network and seem to be working fine. I have my computer connected to internet by eithernet cord and/or wireless. It is not connecting in any form.

Why won't Firefox let me print web pages on my Mac? Safari works fine...

Every time I try to print a web page or image or anything on Firefox, the printed version comes out mostly blank with things like "file:.... and 2 of 15 and Dates and 11..." in very small letters on the bottom of the page. It is not printing what I want it to at all. I looked on support.mozilla and went to about:config. There was no print.print_printer option for me to choose when I typed it in the filter field, and all of the rest of the print options there was available, the reset option was unavailable to click (it was all grey). Now what do I do? I need to use Firefox because one of the websites I need to use only uses the Firefox browser for Mac. Help please??

Caching the web pages using an application server...Please help

Hi all.
I have an application developed using Struts 1.1 which uses JBoss 4.0.2 as an application server.
In this application user is required to enter a valid url and my application fetches the web page pointed by this url
and render the same after doing some pre-processing.
I want to implement caching of pages on server so that if a different user requests with the same url that was earlier issued, that time my application should render the web page that was cached earlier. (so that i can avoid connecting to that url, fetching the page and further pre-processing).
One of the way i know is to use "application" object, which can be shared among multiple users.
Are there any other efficient ways ? What about the performance if i use application object ?
Please help as i am stuck with this.

Using the application scope is one way to do it.
I would recommend writing a CacheControl bean to handle this for you (or re-using an existing cache object)
You can put that bean into the application scope. Just to keep things neat and tidy.
How that bean then caches web pages is up to you
- Store them in memory (I would recommend a LinkedHashMap in LRU mode)
- Store them to disk - less memory intensive, a bit slower but can store more
How are you going to determine if a page is "the same"?
I think you should also consider the "no-cache" tags that a page may send with itself.
Caching can drive web application drivers nuts, as the page actually DOES change on every request.

New Safari 3.0.4 Won't Load web Pages, Need some Assistance.

I Too have installed and updated to 10.4.11 from 10.4.10 and too am having problems with the new Safari 3.0.4 ... My Problem like all the others, is for me, Safari isn't loading any web Pages, I just get a blank Page and nothing is happening, its just sitting there doing nothing. What could possibly be the problem and what should I do??
Please someone help Me soon, I do have 2 back up web browsers but I prefer Safari because all my bookmarks are on there.
I wish Apple would fix this glitch before putting out the new Safari, because alot of people are having problems with the new Safari, is there a way that we can contact Apple and complain to them about Safari 3?

Safari 3.0 gets crashed by various 3rd party add-ons ("enhancer" programs and also InputManagers) which are doing things that are incompatible with it.
Based on what is working for other people in this forum, I think you should delete (or move to the Desktop or something) anything in your Mac's (global) /Library/InputManagers folder and also the Library/InputManagers folder specific to your logon to the Mac.
Also delete or uninstall anything else that is any sort of Safari enhancer/speeder-upper/skinner/prettifier.
If that doesn't work, it's possible that some time previously you had some add-on/enhancer thing which directly patched the insides of the Safari.app (ie directly changed the Safari application in your Applications folder, rather than installing itself in some other folders like InputManagers (and Apple has tried to do a non-destructive/merging update and left those unexpected and now incompatible modifications merged-in). In that case there are some instructions posted a couple of days ago on www.macfixit.com how to fully delete the Safari application and reinstall a completely fresh copy of it from the Combo updater for 10.4.11.
Anyway, I'd say the best first step as already posted here is to get rid of anything that is an InputManager or otherwise an "enhancer" to Safari and see if that resolves it for you.

webpages works!
But, on win XP firefox 9.0.1. many web pages only last html source
code are visible in the webpage. Mozilla support only avaible inside in the WM-box on old firefox!!!
To hard to remove plugins, fix it!!
Disable of all plugins, more wegpages work, but not all!!
Iam using telenor mobile internet, ASUS mb, amd2, XP 2002 service pack 3. On two computers, same errors!
Have done 3 reinstallations of firefox 9.0.1 , still not work!

Grab Pro's Add On and HP Web Page Printing's Add On not working same time

I installed HP Web Page Printing 4.51 for IE 8. Than i coludn't open my web browser. When i was deactive Grab Pro's add on(install with Orbit Downloader) or HP WebPage Printing's add on, i could. For anyone else's reference, my odiparams.bat file now has a line something like:

Note the -Dhttp.nonProxyHosts (which is the proxy exceptions list) is in quotes to escape the pipe character (for windows at least).
