Web pages only use part of monitor screen

I just got a new computer, and I installed the latest version of Firefox. Unlike on my old PC, when I open Firefox, it loads in the middle of my monitor screen, leaving about 3-4 inches of empty screen on each side.

You can try using [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-use-zoom Zoom]. This will increase/decrease the size of everything on the page. You can try hitting ''CTRL and +'' a few times to try it out. ''CTRL and 0'' will return it to normal size.

Set the pref browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent to false on the about:config page.
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

OK, it now sort of works. A couple of problems here:
After updating IOS, Safari iCloud was "automatically" switched off
Switching it on had no effect
resetting my iPad automatically switched off safari iCloud again
after switching it back on, it said "turning off safari data"
switched it off and on again, now it said : "turning on safari data" and the sync worked
On IOS 7 no problems
The bookmarks not being displayed was because after pressing the book icon, it defaulted to showing the history and I had to press "Back" to get to the other options

How can I save the web page by using the Page Title as the file name ?

When i use Internet Explorer ,I can save the web page by using Page Title as the file name(as default no need to adjust anything). But when i use Firefox ,It can not use the Page Title to save as the file name. How can I do that like in Internet Explorer?

Printing does not print the web page only the http info at top of page and dated and time at bottom of page, nothing in between. help! Thanks.

Printing a web page works fine from the microsoft windows browser but fire fox browser will not print a web page only the heading at the top and the date and time at the bottom.

Does that happen on all pages or only on some?

You can't. (Fonts increase in size like everything else, not in height alone).

I didt the same what you have explained. I followed the following Steps.
1. Created the Web Page and published(It is in Umlock State).
2. Created the Site Navigation and gave the target for that page.
3. In the Portal Content, I created a role , then folder and for the folder property, i gave the External Connector wpcnavigation:///wpccontent/Sites/News/Site Navigation/navigation.wpc ( Say for ex News is a Site) and Entry Point as Yes.
4. After this i assigned that role to a user(Super Admin).
After doing the above steps, I couldnt able to see the Web Page displayed.

How can I make my web page fill up the entire browser screen regardless of monitor it is viewed on,

I have noticed that some websites are designed so that the page expands to fill in the entire screen, regardless of the size of the monitor. Here is an example: https://www.draft2digital.com/support/
I have viewed the Muse tutorial that expands the Footer area to fill in the whole screen, but it does not address how to do this for the main part of the web page, or the header. I have looked at the site setup section and do not see where I could set it to expand.

Okay, in your link the blue bars would be in muse as a blue box then drag the right side so that it stamps just outside your page area. This will make muse program it so you will always see it extend to fill the browser window. Do the same on left side and you should be good. It will work even better if you also centre the rest of your content under page, page properties, padding - check the box for centre horizontally. Any content you want to extend with the browser, while the rest stays centred, you have to drag extending the content so it snaps just outside the main page in muse.

Why is every web page only on the right side of my screen?

Every time I open fire fox browser web sights only appear on the right side of my screen. I am using a flat screen tv as my screen so there´s plenty of room. All text etc on the right is cut off and on the left side there is a third of the screen blank.

Do you have the side bar open (View > Sidebar)?

* "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Reset the page zoom on websites that look wrong: "View > Zoom > Reset" (Ctrl + 0 (zero))

Parts of web page missing using WaCom 1.3.1

I have recently switched from icab to WaCom 1.3.1 for OS9
For some reason though some web pages do not display fully at the sides
- for instance on apples home page part of the macbook image is missing on the left,This happens with most but not all web pages (the scroll bar at the bottom will not allow me to bring the missing part into view)
Maybe a simple fix? but I'm struggling to find it and would really appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction

I realise that I'm using old technology and browsers.
I just bought this blueberry imac for my children to use as thier first computer and they love it- and to be honest I like it a lot too.
I have an OSX 10.4 machine and use that mainly ,maybe its just me -but since buying the OS 9 machine I can't get off it, It is great fun has some troubles but I think I can live 'em( it only cost £70 delivered).
The bother I had with icab was slow (reaallly slow ) to load pages and crashed on a regular basis, Opera - same thing really .
I posted a question or two on here about these issues and got some good advice ( especially learning about assigning memory to apps) but I have found WaCom 1.3.1 the best for ME,
I'll keep giving other browsers a go from time to time to see what happens
Guess I will live with the bits missing at the side - not that big a bother really just wanted to see if it could be sorted .

How can i take a full screen shot of a web page without using paparazzi?

I would like to take a full screen shot of a web page but scroll down to the page as well. i have downloaded paparazzi which seemed to be recommanded but I am not satisfied with what it does any other suggestion to get a clear picture of the page???

It doesn't have to be a movie. Snagit, for example can capture the complete browser window as an image which you can then save as a png, jpg, tiff, gif, bmp or snagit document. That's what I thought the OP wanted so I didn't suggest the built in screen captures.

Web page only working on "some" PC's?

Hello all,
Wondering if someone can help me.
I have set-up an applet on my web page that lets users draw on a map. If working successfully users should then automatically be sent to a second page where they can review their inputs (see the page @ http://vega.soi.city.ac.uk/~ap776/applets/taggerInput.html ).
A big problem is that I can get the applet to start from my PC at home - but I cannot get it to get to the second page! I have no idea why this is!
I am able to get the applet to run fully from PC's both at my friend�s house's and at university - however the applet will not work completely on other PC's (including my one at home!).
Does anyone have any idea why this won't work at home?....perhaps some of the experts could look at my web page to see if they can get it to work.

I don't have the original source code as it was supplied to me by Leeds University (in a .jar file).
I believe that client users need version 1.4.2 for the applet to work. However the confusing thing is that I have version 1.4.2 of Java and I.E. version 6, with Windows XP - yet still cannot get the applet to work!.......however when I use my parents PC (with a similar spec) the applet works fine!.....the only difference is that I am on a broadband connection and they are on dial-up.
I have considered trying to shut down my Norton Internet security (just in case this is blocking it) would this help?
I have also reviewed my Internet settings etc - but I cannot see anything obvious that is blocking the applet (besides the applet does "load" - its just that I can not get it to write the image to the server!).
