Web pages won't load unless I move my cursor

Is there anyone out there that can really help me? This problem as evident by others who have posted the same concerns is not malware but with the newer versions of Firefox. At one time I uninstalled my Firefox and reinstalled an older version and didn't have the problem anymore. I believe my computer automatically updated to a newer version and this the reason for the problem. I don't want to do that again as I lost all my bookmarks etc. Is it time for me to start using a different browser? I hope not, as I have always been very happy with Firefox.
I updated to the newest version of firefox and when firefox opens in won't open web pages unless I constantly move my cursor. I running XP. I tried to restore my computer back a few days so as to utilize the older version of firefox, but I ran into another error message. I know this has been a problem for many and I know it has nothing to do with XP as it was running fine before. Please help.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

  • Pages won't load unless I move mouse! GRR!

Whenever I click on anything... either opening a program, clicking on a link, trying to watch a video... unless I am moving my mouse constantly, it will not continue doing what it should be doing. I don't know what else to say. I'm super frustrated. Appreciate your help on this, I've already wasted enough of my day trying to solve it on my own.

  • Web Pages Don't Load Unless Forced....?

Web pages will not load unless, while they are trying to load... I open another webpage in a new window, which will force the previous one to load. Is there a fix to this? Anyone else experiencing it?
Also, youtube does not work properly either. I have to force the video's to load. So while the video's are loading, I will need to constantly surf the web, through new windows, which will force the youtube video to load.
    Very annoying.

I am having both of those problems, I'm looking for a solution right now because both of them have gotten steadily worse since I first got my macbook.

  • Certain Web Pages won't load for roughly 60 seconds

I was tempted to put this in the 'Safari' section, but after a little more trial I thought it went deeper than that.
The issue is, for about two weeks now, i'll be surfing the web and then head to one of my commonly visited websites (namely Wikipedia, Google, Huffington Post, and this website) and though I'm fully connected to the internet, the pages won't load and i get the "Server Not Found" noitce.
I don't, however, have this problem with ALL webpages when this is happening to the others. Gmail, Facebook, Mediaite, etc. all have no issue and they work just fine.
Primarily I use Google Chrome as my browser. So the first thing i did was clear the cache to see if it would help, but nothing changed. So i opened both Safari and Firefox and they both suffer the same problem. After about 60 seconds the issue goes away and all things are normal again. About 10 to 15 minutes later, if I'm still surfing the web, the problem may creep back up again. I can't say for sure but I've noticed that this typically happens when I first try to go to those pages after a few hours of not using the net.
When this happens, I've also tried loading these pages on my iPhone and iPad during the 60 seconds and have encountered the same problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Web pages won't load, solution needed. Mac issue

Hi, I don't cannot find how properly to contact apple support so try get in tuoch in this section. So, recently I purchased macbook pro 13 Serial Number  ********DTY3, now it's been about two months since I'm using my mac, I thought this is the best product, but getting dissapointed. The main issue which currently expierencing ( about few weeks now ) is that time to time web pages won't opening, even now then I try to open thesun page I get internal errorsaying:   ''Internal communication error'' and page wont load at all. I'ts becoming more often and often. Honestly it's really annoying especially when you working on something and you need the page opened, I mean right now. I tried to use opera, google chrome, safari and all the same, if the page wont load in one browser, it wont load in another as well. Tried on win 7 on other laptop, working fine. I thought this is some history or cache issue, so I tried to clean it on daily regular basis, but it doesn't work. Once again this kind of issue becoming more common in daily using, so thinking of leaving apple or in case I get working solution, should I get my mac into the shop and technicans can check it, or I just returned to apple.?   (All mac is fully updated with latest updates including web browsers)

  • Websites would not load unless I move my cursor for Firefox RC

Whenever I load a website, I notice that unless i move my cursor a little, the website would not load. I didnt notice this for previous versions of FF though.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
    See:
    * [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]]

  • Why won't a page load unless I move the cursor

I click on a site or push enter. the page starts to load but then it stops. If I move the cursor the page resumes loading

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
    See:
    * [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]]
    * [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
    * Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
    * Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

  • Web pages won't load icons and certain page features... page looks very plain

Pages load fine, but certain icons, such as the ones on a complete Yahoo web page side bar just won't load. They are functional. I thought it was just a plugin or flash player issue, but all of that appears to be in order. I am using a Toshiba Laptop with Windows XP and Firefox 3.6. I also tried using IE8 and get the same problem.

  • HP Pavillion - Web Pages Won't Load but I'm Connected to the Internet

I was on the internet and then the page seemed to lock up.  I closed the browser and reopened it and now I cannot get any web pages to load at all either in I.E. or Firefox.  It just says Waiting for "website" and that is it.  My other laptop connects to the internet fine using the same modem/router so it is a computer issue.  Not sure how it goes from working one minute to not the next.  It is a HP Pavillion G7-2270.  Thanks for any help you can offer.

Hello  , Welcome to the HP Forums! I understand your notebook shows it is connected but you are unable to browse. Can you tell me which version of Windows you are using? To see which version of Windows you are using click here: Which Windows operating system am I running? Here are some popular fixes for networking issues: Powercycle the network:
    1. Shut down your notebook.
    2. Unplug the power to your router.
    3. Unplug the power to your modem.
    4. Wait at least 45 seconds.
    5. Plug in the modem, and wait for it to come back online.
    6. Plug in the router, and wait for it to come back online.
    7. Turn on your notebook, and test your connection.
Reset the TCP/IP settings on your PC:
    1. Go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.
    2. Right click on the command prompt icon and chose Run as administrator.
    3. In the window that opens type "netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt" without quotes, and press enter.
    4. Restart your PC and test.
It may also help to reset the winsock catalogue:
    1. Go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.
    2. Right click on the command prompt icon and chose Run as administrator.
    3. In the window that opens type "netsh winsock reset" without quotes, and press enter.
    4. Restart your PC and test. If it seems to be connected but won't browse, flush the DNS:1. Go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.
    2. Right click on the command prompt icon and chose Run as administrator.
    3. In the window that opens type "ipconfig /flushdns" without quotes, and press enter.
    4. Restart your PC and test.
    Reinstall the network adapter drivers:
    1. Download the drivers from here but do not run them yet.
    2. Go to your start screen/menu and type Device Manager.
    3. Expand Network adapters.
    4. Right click on the wireless/ethernet adapter and choose Uninstall.
    5. Run the downloaded drivers from step 1.
    6. Restart your PC and test.
If those three steps do not resolve the issue, try this document published by Microsoft for networking issues: Wired and wireless network problems. You can change the operating system with the dropdown in the upper-right corner of the document. Let me know if that helps!

  • Web pages won't load but airport shows strong connection!

    help!
I have a wireless network set up with a wireless router transmitter (not apple). My wife's macbook works fine, but my son's imac has great difficulty loading pages even thought the airport icon at the top of the monitor says the signal is strong and internet connect says the status is connected. Web pages sometimes load fine, but about 80% of the time now, I get "safari can't find the server" or "firefox can't load the page" messages instead of a webpage (like apple or google). I don't even know where to start when trying to troubleshoot this problem. If anyone can steer my to a starting point to figure out this problem (or tell me how to fix it), I'd be extremely grateful! thanks!

    Welcome to the discussions!
Try a few simple experiments to check your signal strength.
On your wife's MacBook, hold down the option key and click on the fan shaped Airport icon at the top of the screen. Look for the Transmit Rate. Note this number.
Now do the same thing for the iMac. You will probably see a much lower number indicating that the iMac is not receiving a strong signal due to walls, construction materials and other interference. In this case, the only real solution will be to find a different position for either the wireless router or the iMac.
Another option might be to see if your wireless router signal can be extended. In almost all cases, you will need to look for a device that is from the same manufacturer as your router.
    Post back on your progress.

  • Web page won't load

after message that "all webpages must be reloaded", pages that were loaded will not show content anymore.

Try emptying the Safari cache. Press Command + Option + E then quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that didn't help, open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
    ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.

  • Safari-Certain Web pages won't load

As of 2/25/06 I am having problems in loading certain web pages from Safari, Fox fire or even Netscape. I am able to load Google but not Yahoo. I can't load any site connected to www.tamu.edu. Some sites I have used often and some are new. My internet provider is stumped. I have dumped caches and reset Safari but that did not help. Most sites are loading but a select few will not. On Safari I will get the message "Connection has timmed out" or "Server stopped responding." Any suggestions? Thanks
    JDKW

this may or may not help, depends on how you connect to the internet.
I've been having problems with safari not loading some pages and being slow for a couple of days.
so i tried the other browsers and got the same, couldn't connect to the itunes store either.
I connect using a router with a couple of mac's networked, I've being driving myself insane trying to gte things sorted, finally I reset the router, everything is now working.

  • One web page won't load in any browser

I have one site that all of a sudden, won't load in any stand-alone browser (have tried Firefox, Camino, Safari, Opera). I get a time-out error. The will load, however, if I use the AOL browser or a cloaking site. I checked with my ISP which says it doesn't block any site. In fact, the rep said he had no problem going directly to the site. I have turned off firewall, shut down and restarted AirPort and DSL modem, reloaded software to AirPort, all to no avail. Does anyone have any idea what's causing this or how to fix it?

That site works fine for me.
You need Flash to use their facility.
The latest version of Adobe FlashPlayer can be obtained from here:
    http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1ProdVersion=ShockwaveFlash
(You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS.
Note that Adobe requires you to uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14157
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first.
