Web Reporting Error

Hello Gurus,
I am new to web reporting and I followed this link

and I was getting this error:
Service cannot be reached
What has happened?
URL http://premiersap:8000/sap/bw/BEx call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.
Note
The termination occurred in system PRD with error code 403 and for the reason Forbidden.
The selected virtual host was 0 .
What can I do?
Please select a valid URL.
If you do not yet have a user ID, contact your system administrator.
ErrorCode:ICF-NF-http-c:000-u:SAPSYS-l:E-i:premiersap_PRD_00-v:0-s:403-r:Forbidden

Can anyone help me to solve this problem?

Scheduling webi report error

Hi Guys,
How u all? Guys I need help from your side, While refreshing Webi report in 3.1, getting error:
A database error occured. The database error text is: Failed to execute MDX query. Reason: Inconsistent input parameter (parameter: <unknown>, value <unknown>). (WIS 10901).

Hi,
This error is very common when the report is based on BW query.
1. try to schedule the reports and when selecting the prompt values click on refresh the prompt data which will pull the new data values from BW, many times it happens that we take the by default value when refreshing which may have a space etc.
if the above condition doesn't work try
2. I would recommend to refresh the universe structure and map the objects i.e. pull the objects again in the reports
or
last option would be to enable MDX and SOFA logs to get more details: (Instrucitons on capturing the MDX statement from the Webi Server can be found in SAP Notes 1260004, 1380517 or 1235111.)

Webi report error

Hi All,
While refreshing Webi report, I am getting error below:

A few thing to check\test would be:
Change CMC server properties:　
Please go to Central Management console.
Go to Servers.
From left hand side panel select Server categories and then Web intelligence.
Right click the Webintelligenceprocessingserver and select Properties.
Set Binary Stream Maximum size to 500 (it is in MB).
Set Maximum character stream size to 500 (it is in MB).
Click save and close.
Change in webi.properties file:
Open the 'webi.properties' form this location and make the required changes to changes the Heap size.
D:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\Tomcat55\webapps\AnalyticalReporting\WEB-INF\classes
Add the following line to the end of the webi.properties file (assuming that the Java Heap Max is set to 1024):
MAX_HEAP_SIZE=1024000000
Note: The default value of MAX_HEAP_SIZE is 5000000 and is appropriate for a Java Heap setting of 512.
Stop and then restart the Tomcat application server.
Note: The Tomcat limitation for the Heap Size setting is 1.5 GB (1536 MB), but the higher the value you set, the worse the performance when you run reports. If you try to increase the value higher than this, then Tomcat will not start.

Scheduled webi report error in dashboard

Hi ,
we are using SAP BW as backend and Dashboard is created using Live ofive connectivity with latest instance of scheduled report which is scheduled every morning.
But some of the reports scheduled is failing and throwing this error as
A database error occured. The database error text is: (CS) "Fail to create an instance of Job" . (WIS 10901)
This is occurring many times
Because of this while opening dashboard it throws error
The current refresh option requires a report instance that does not exist. (LO 26301)

Hi Gaurav,
How many Webi reports do you have? Do they all use the same data source? How big are the reports - 100 rows? 100,000 rows? How long does each take to run?
They may be failing if the server is running out of memory. Or is it the same Webi reports failing to schedule? In which case obviously there's a problem with those reports.

Error in Web report "Error on Page"

Hello,
When I run a web report I provide values for Company code with option as * with cc value as 100*.
The report runs and gives initial output but I get an Error on page.
After this I am not able to navigate further in the report i.e there is no action when I try to drill down.
Experts please help.

Hi KT,
You must have used a varialble while designing the query and you must be knowing which type it is.
To be more precise pattern selection is supported for selopt (selection option variables only).
Please note down that the "Contain Pattern" is not supported for the following variable types:
1) Single value variable
2) Multiple values variable
3) Range Value Variable
This feature is only supported by variable type 'Selection option'.

Webi Report Error: INF

Hi All
I am having an issue with one of the WEBI report. As soon as I open the report it pops up a box with header HTTP Status 500 - Internal error and error in the box is (Error: INF). On data refresh it gives the same error after couple of minutes, but if I edit the report and refresh the data (from edit report page) it gets the report contents. There are other reports which are based on the same universe and work fine.
Any idea/direction is much appreciated.

Adapt is actually a tracking system used to track code changes (enhancements, bugs etc.) so that number can be thought of like an incident number. So you won't see that in your error message. The Adapt I referenced was not reproducible in FP3.5.
It is indeed possible that you are seeing a different problem (sometimes the same error message is given for different problems). So one last thing I could suggest before you close this off would be that you can raise this to technical support and depending on the exact issue (does it require connectivity to your database etc.) they may be able to test the report internally to confirm it's fixed in 3.5. However, given that you don't want to patch since you are moving to a new version anyway, that would probably be a waste of time for all parties involved.

Webi Reports error on refresh - source - SAP BW

Hi,
We recently upgraded out SAP BW to SP7. Since then, all our webi reports have been giving the following error when we try to refresh the reports:
"A database error occured. The database error text is: A pointer intended for use is NULL. m_pCommand is NULL in SAPRowsetDataModel::getCurrentRow, exception raised at line 372 of file .\source\saprowsetdatamodel.cpp. (WIS 10901)"
The following steps have been taken to resolve the issue with no success:
1. Refreshing the universe
2. Reimporting roles from BW into BO
3. Creating new Webi reports
Has anyone encountered similar issues? Any solution to this issue?

he was using the MDX OLAP .unv from Universe designer
you need to use the workaround of using a local variable f(x)=Sum(<Measure>)
or wait for Feature Pack 03 for the pending enhancement.

Date Format in Webi Reports - Error

Hi ,
I am using a date dimension in my webI report, but the dimension value is not populating correctly, it shows some constant value for all fileds. I checked the format of the dimension in the universe. It is in perfect format as date.can anyone guide me on this.

Will normally be defined as a Date type object, so it is treated by WebI as a date.
When you use the object in a webI report, it will get the default date format based on the locale settings of the user.
If you are getting a german date format (dd.MM.yyyy is German), that must be your preferences.
Two ways to go about this:
1) change your preferences.
2) fix the date format of the cell by using the FormatNumber dialogue.
Go to the date/time part and select Custom.
Now you can type the format you want, i.e. MM/dd/yyyy

Webi Report - Error when doing drilldown

I'm facing a problem now that I hope to get some guidance from you all.
I've created a Universe based on a MSAS Cube, It's working fine so far, but we realized during the tests that when we drill down or just include the fields (related to Level 5 and 6) the report stops and do not work anymore. It means that we can go only until the level 4 and no more than that. Let me explain a little better.
Level1: Country
Level2:++++++ Demographic Region
Level3:+++++++++ Federation
Level4:++++++++++++ MacroRegion (Grouping of Cities)
Level5:++++++++++++++++ MicroRegiong (Grouping of Cities)
Level6:++++++++++++++++++++ Cities
It works fine in MSAS today but I'm trying to deliver a webi report using the current cube mentioned above. Is this normal behavior of the BOBJ or can I consider as a bug?
How could I solve this issue?

try this solution oryginally posted by Craig Brandt in another topic.
Firstly make sure you have no old Java installs or 'add ons' lingering about on your system, check in programs and features (assuming your using windows 7) and uninstall Java completely. Check the add ons in IE and show: 'All add ons' - remove manually if required. Do a clean up of the computers temp files and cache. I used a program called ccleaner. Also check c:\users\<username>\app data\locallow\ and delete the 'Sun' folder. Then reboot machine.
- Install latest Java 1.7.0_51
- Go to Java control panel in windows control panel
- add the exception for your BOBJ server e.g. http://<SERVER>:8080
- click continue
- go to the advanced tab
- scroll down and tick 'use TLS 1.2'
- apply or OK to exit java control panel
- open 'Internet Options'
- go to the 'advanced' tab
- scroll down and tick 'use TLS 1.2'
- OK everything and close any IE windows
Now try again, you will need to enable the 'add on' when prompted on opening IE for the first time.
Also when accessing the BI Web I for the first time, I placed a tick in the 'do not show this again for apps from this publisher'

Scheduing Webi Report Error

When Scheduling a Webi Report,the instance status changed to "Pending" soon,even set the status to "Running".The instance will keep "Pending" status, and could not run out the result.Restarted server "AdaptiveJobServer" or rebooted the server could not resolve it.
Environment:
System:Windows 2003 Server
BO:XI R3
System Eventlog details:
Subprocess (Job Server Child) could not be started. Reason: Couldn't get IJob interface or writing IAudit: Pipe exception. Reason: jobserverchild (ReplicationSchedulingService WebIJavaSchedulingService, 0, Timeout waiting for Child [7704] to register ([120]seconds).

WEBI Report Error After Adding 2 New Servers to BOE

There were two new servers added to the existing BO enterprise application. Both these servers have the Web Intelligence job server and Web Intelligence report server services running on them. Eversince these servers have been added we have been encountering the following error
Creation Time: 1/11/2009 11:40 PM
Start Time: 1/11/2009 11:40 PM
End Time: 1/11/2009 11:40 PM
Server Used: LXW0D38C.Web_IntelligenceJobServer
Error Message: 0: (CS) :DBDriver failed to load : D:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\win32_x86\dataAccess\connectionServer\dbd_oci8.dll (The specified module could not be found. ) An internal error occurred while calling the 'processDPCommands' API. (Error: WIS 30270) BOException caught:RESULT=80004005;WHAT=RefreshBatch failed
The job server mentioned in error message may not necessarily be job server created on the new servers. In the above example the server listed with the job server running on it has BOE installed on the C drive
I do want to point out that when I turn off the job servers and report servers on the newly installed machines this problem goes away
I am assuming that an old job server may assign a task the the new webi intelligence report server to execute a query and the problem shows up
Am I possibly missing a setting in the WEB Intelligence report server?
Is there something that can be done to fix the issue?
We are currently at BOXIR2 SP3.6 which is installed on Windows 2000 Server with SP4

Alan,
I used remote desktop to access each of the servers and I am able connect to the oracle databases that the BOW accesses from both SQLPLUS as well as ODBC. I also opened up designer and was able to successfully connect to each of the universes
I have placed the -trace option on the WEB Intelligence Report servers and going to try to find what kind of output this newly installed BOE software generates
Can you think of anything else?

Web report error - (rsParameterError)

I've got a new install of SCCM 2012 R2 and I'm trying to access reports. All reports work fine from the console but from the Web interface, they all error. This affects both reports requiring me to enter parameters & those that don't. I'm just playing
with the stock reports at the moment. The error I receive is:
Parameter validation failed. It is not possible to
provide valid values for all parameters. (rsParameterError)

Sorry I don’t know why I didn’t see this earlier. Generally I see this when someone doesn’t have access to the Resources and they are drill thought from one report to another report. Is this the care for you?

I had an issue when view a web intelligence report on InforViewApp as below:
HTTP Status 404-

Please help me to solve this problem.

The problem seems to be due to the language (Italian)!
If the user sets on client preferences the English language is able to properly access to the report, but if accessed by user configured for the Italian language reports WebI don't work (error messasge 30270).
Any ideas?
