Hello All,
I am stuck with one WEBi requirement. The requirement is as follows. I will try to make it simple.
I have one BEx query from which i am getting data Cost Center (0COSTCENTER) & Actuals which i am displaying in WEBi report.
For example BEx 1:
CC1 100
CC2 200
CC3 300
CC4 400
I have another BEx Query which shows data as Sales Organization and actuals .
For example BEx 2
SO 1000
Now in WEBi i want to do a calculation as follows using above BEx queries as follows :
CC1 100 (100/1000)*100
CC2 200 (200/1000)*100
CC3 300 (300/1000)*100
CC4 400 (400/1000)*100
I hope the above example is clear enough. The problem i am facing is how to use the amount from the second BEx query to use against each cost center amount from the first BEx query in WEBi .

As i said in my previous replies it doesn't work for me because i use hierarchies.
Here i am putting a screenshot to give you detail that it does't work for me.
Actuals YTD is coming from Query 1 in which i have hierarchy for cost elements.
Actuals is coming from Query 3.

i got a scenario where
i have two drop down boxes and one analysis item
but for dropdown1 ->data provider is query1
dropdown2 ->data provider is query2
analysis item ->data provider is query3
query is a infoset of query1 and query2
now the requirement is when i give vales in drop down i should get reflected in analysis item
there is common data between q1 and q3
and q2 and q3
please suggest me

This can be a probable solution.
Since u have three conditions on a Key Figure, Create three formauls/Calculated Key Figure with those conditions...This could be ahcieved by implementing the IF condition using Logical operators.
Once this is done, you can create a Calculated KF/Formula for selecting one of these values, depending upon the Quantity value.
In the same query, just implement the logic for 3 conditions, and select one of these three conditions.

Tool required to document webi reports
We need a tool for document the business objects webi reports. The requirement is follows.
The requirement is to map the BO report field to the source, so in short if I pick up any field on a given BO report can I trace it to a column in the datamart. And further the target datamart field can be mapped on to source field, which in turn gives me a complete mapping from Source column to BO report field.
Kindly let me know if there is a feature in BO which gives me the mapping of u201CBO Report field to Datamart fieldu201D in a automated fashion.

Web reports browser requirements
I have a question about viewing web reports. I will try to keep this focused on IE in particular.
I can view reports fine on my computer. I have Windows 8.1 and IE 11. When i run reports on my computer I can see the full report.
On a Windows 7 machine with IE11 i click "view report" and it only shows "loading". The report never runs.
A coworker of mine has the same permissions in SCCM and to reports, and on his Windows 8.1 with IE11 he runs a report and only the left 1/2 of the report shows.
I have been trying to compare browswer configurations but I can not find our issue. Can anyone tell me what all needs to be installed and configured for web reports to properly run through IE? I have tried to find documentation and have had no
luck.

How to add A single row at the middle of the table in a Webi report
Hi,
I created a Webi report using Universe(Created universe using bex query).Now i have a requirement to display a row at the middle of a report. Can you please tell me ,how to add a sigle row at the middle of a Webi report.

It is not really possible to add a row (I assume you mean of unrelated data) to the middle of a table in a report. You can add a new table with a single row between two tables. For instance you could add a new one row table, or even single cells which are positioned relatively between two tables. Possibly a block on top of another. But this gets tricky.

Error while refreshing webi report
SAP BO XI 3.1, when i am trying to refresh data in a webi report, its giving error, Invalid prompt definition contact BO admin WI 00005.
Though i deleted all filters in Bex query, save the query, import universe, refresh univerese, save universe, export universe still webi report is showing the same error, but if all the filters are removed it shouldn't show that error?
After universe is refreshed clicked the check button it showed me 15 errors on filters with message Invalid prompt definiton, supplied XML doc is not valid.
Can any one please help me out.

prompts use a different opernd type or operator count of values. (WIS: 0015)
I got answer for this error.
The query has multiple prompts that display the same message. Web Intelligence combines prompts with the same message and displays the prompt once. If the operator defined for some of these prompts requires you to enter one value while the operator in other prompts with the same message requires you to enter multiple values, Web Intelligence cannot combine the prompt.
But can anyone please explain me what is the cause of error in brief? i didn't get what does prompt with same text means? -

I tried to use the solution of Tobias Kaufmann to print web reports by means of Excel. When I apply this way of working to my report on BW 3.5, it works just fine. ut... when I do exactly the same on <b>BW 3.10</b> no Excel file is generated (though the HTML report refreshes).
I tried to search a reason for this in debugging mode several times and for several hours and I discussed this issue with colleagues but without any result. Anybody with experience on this topic on a BW 3.10 server? If so, did this work and were some modifications necessary?

Still I still have three issues regarding the page setup of a printed Excel sheet. After spending a LOT of time, I was able to solve the problems... Is there a OfficeHTML-BW expert ?
1° I would like to put filter values in the header of each printed paper. The How To document uses this parameter in the @page section:

Is there a way to replace the queryname () by filter values?
2° On the first page the table has columnheaders (normal), but on the second page these headers are not repeated.
3° Even when I remove the <x:FitWidth>1</x:FitWidth>
<x:FitHeight>2</x:FitHeight> and the use <x:scale>100</x:scale>, the result of the report is ALWAYS printed (fit to) 1 page. Ofcourse the texts are way to small. How can I make sure the report is printed in a normal way?

Web reporting - variable selection should be display as key and description
hi experts,
Can anybody tell me the solution for my issue. My isssue is , in the web reporting, i have variable company code, i am selecting the company code thru search help. the values for company code is displaying with key.
the new requirement should be displayed with key and description.
I have checked in the bex, the properties of company code has maintained as key. when i run the report when cas selet as key and descritption. bex is not a probelm.
only the problew with webreports, can anybody give some inptus on my issue.

Display Comments in Webi Report
Hi All,
We have a requirement, to display comments (2 or 3 paragraph in each page of report).The text needs to preserve the format (bold, bullets and colored text) i.e the format from the source data should be retained when displayed in the webi report.
Say for example the source is the excel and the text is coloured red or green , some part of the text is bold, all these formats should be preserved in the webi report also.
Can you please suggest, how to implemet this in webi report?

Sudhayou can take the formatted text in a word document, take a screen shot, put it in mspaint and select the required part. now place this picture in the blank cell's background image. this will preserve the formats of all kinds.
but u cant change the text dynamically.
usually we do this to give users an introduction page(tab1 in report followed by report tabs.) describing the application.

I used a condition in a variable =if(Previous([Activity])=[Activity];0;1) and placing inside report.
But when i am giving block filter i am getting only the distinct activity and Time not as required output.

I am not 100% clear on what you are trying to do but you should be able to use a max() or min() function on the datetime, since it appears you are trying to get the first one (in which case you should use min()).

How to limit the number of records in WebI Report
Hi,
I have a requirement where I need to display the WebI Report data only if the number if record is less than 65k.
Incase if the records are more than 65k then the report should be blank and a text message needs to be displayed.
The client dont want to set the number of records either in universe or at the edit query at the report. They want to limit once the report is executed.
Please let me know if its possible to do it at the report level.

SAP BOOptional prompts are not a problem.
Assuming you first query uses the following SQL statement
select a,b,c from t where x=y and z=@prompt(...)
The query for checking the number of rows should use the following SQL code
select count(*) from t where x=y and z=@prompt(...)
The original query should be modified as follows
select a,b,c from t where x=y and z=@prompt(...) AND (select count(*) from t where x=y and z=@prompt(...)) < 65000

i have saved that file as a jsp,

The answer is yes, you can integrate your report in any web application as any other normal JSP. You can package the JSP as part of a WAR and deploy it on an application server. The only requirements are:
reports_tld.jar must be available to the application. You can put in inside the WEB-INF/lib directory of the web application.
Reports Server must be available to the JSP. If you are using Oracle9iAS for deploying the JSP, the Reports server is automatically available. If you are using some other application server like WebLogic, you can use the J2EE Thin Client (http://otn.oracle.com/products/reports/htdocs/getstart/examples/Tools/index.html)

Transport issue of a WEBI report?

I have created on webi report with name "Sales Details Per Year" and transported to Quality system from Development. but, after few days due to some reasons i have deleted this report in development system and created a new report with the same name "Sales details Per Year". when i am transporting this webi report into quality system it is not able to transport because of same name.
kindly help me how can i overcome this? is there any overwrite option is available in promotion management ?
ThanksHi Krishna, We had the option in import wizard to match either name or uid but in Promotion management (BI 4) we dont have the option ,it matches both.
The other way to open the report in rich client in dev and save as the report in QA but this require the access rights to rich client.
