Web Reports field problem
Hi,
I hava this problem:
When I generate a report in client mode I see all fields correctly but in Web mode I see ************ in the same field, why? any idea??

when you run the webi report , click change query and in that go to yourt field properties and then chage its settings to date.
I think I have done this of similar kind lontg back. But there is this property somewhere where we can change the type of the varaible and then you can see the expected resutls.

Web Reports - Drilldown Problem
Hello Guru's,
I have a Web Report where I am only displaying the text properties and the result table. In the selection screen the user has to select a company which he will be working with. I also have configured in RSBBS a drilldown for this report. The main report is working fine, the problem lies depending on where the drilldown is made. In the result area you have the characteristics, and the results for each of them eg
Org. Area - Distribution Channel - Qty - Value
AAA - MT - 50 - 150
If I do a drilldown from the "50" in the Qty row, the drilldown works fine by transfering the selected company to the second report, but if I do a drilldown from te "AAA", or "Org. Area", the selected company value is not transfered to the second report thereby generating an "Authorization Error" considering that the user has acess to a few companies. does anyone know how to solve this problem.
Obs. All of the rules in BBS are set to generic, except the company which is set to variable as a diferent variable for the company is used the second report.

Alexandre SoaresI have partially solved this problem by including the company at the line level and under its characteristics selected it to not display it. The problem only remains when the drilldown is made from the titles ... if anyone has had this problem please let me know how it can be worked out.

Data of measure is not seen in webi report when drill is disabled

i have created a hierarchy in universe on which i drill down in webi reports
the problem is that i have drilled my report till the last level and saved it
the object on which im drilling is set as a section in the report
so i have added a measure in the table under that section
now the measure has different value at different level of drillings
i.e for the last level of the drill i use one measure and after that as i drill up i use different measure
for all other level of drilling
every thing is working fine but the problem is
when i open report in view mode
the measure data is not seen
only when i enable drill the measure data is seen
i have done something like thi
i have used drillfilters in webi reports for checking which level we are in drill mode so as to display the measure value based on drill levelSeems like DrillFilters needs the drillmode to work fine..
why don't save the report with the drill button enabled? -
Problems with rounding keyfigures in Webi report
Hi,
we have the next scenario, we have a SAP BI connected to a Universe using XIR3.1 BO version ( with the integration kit).
When we do a report with totals using the Webi the keyfigures results haven't the expected values, if we check the values in the cube (listcube) or by a SAP BI query we get the correct values.
We have found that the difference comes from the moment the webi report do the rounding, when we filter the query by a excluding value it seems that the rounding is done at the level of the excluding object
Example:
We have the quantity sales (quantity 3 decimals) at the country level displayed without decimals, at that level the totals figures match with the data displayed in the infocube in SAP BI, when we filter excluding a customer of the country the figures don't match, the quantity sales are rounded at the customer level and then are aggregated, the customer is not displayed in the report.
Report without excluding customer:

To found were is the difference we have done a query including in the drilldown the customer, rounding at that level and doing the totals as the sum of that values we have the same values in the webi report and in the SAP BI Query and it is equal to 274456 In the other case if we sum the values of the customers without rounding and we round the total the values is the 273106.
As the diffence it is great for the business, we need to found a way to do the rounding only in the level displayed in the report.
We have expirience in other BO projects without sap integration and we have not found that issue, it is because that we included it in the forum of the SAP integration kit.

We have a similar problem to Núria and it persists after applying the instructions given by Stratos.
Our scenario is BO Enterprise XI 3.1 SP2 and Integration Kit for SAP 3.1 SP2.
I have a Universe connected to a SAP BW query 7.0. When I execute a report with WebI the results doesn't match.
We found a problem rounding quantities. The curious thing is that only happens when the quantity is "UN". In this case rounds and truncates all decimals. So, if the Quantity is 0,45 UN in BW, in Webi report is 0.
If the Quantity is in "KG" or "L" there aren't any problem. I've seen in the BW table SUNIT that the only difference is that the field "UN" its called "ST" in the table, what makes me think that maybe the problem is related to languages. But I have no idea.
Any suggestions?

Problems access to a web application (Web Interface or Web report)
Hi,
We found problems with the access to web application. Some users have problems with direct links to the web applications(Web Interface or Web reporting), when they click on the link an error message appears, the message displays the following text:
"Cannot open file Bex?sap-language=ENbsplanguge=ENcmd=idoc_TE.."
Clicking in details the message is "No Access to specified file"
For this users the access to excel reporting is correct, the message appears when they click on the direct web links through the browser or directly in BW system, but if they type the URL they can access. Other users can use the direct web link without problems.
I highly appreciate any help or idea about how to solve this issue.

Print Preview in web report problem
After Clicking Print buttonn on the web report, i select Print Preview from IE Explorer and here the variable values passed to the print function in web template, are getting displayed and actually it is part of URL , getting displayed in the Print Preview.
any ideas ..
i have already cleared the value of title and footer in page setup.
and this is a junk data in the header in the print preview
it will be something like this,
User%20ID:%xyz%20printed%20 etc...
actually i am passing below values to the print function,

Facing problem while Jumping to a R/3 transaction from a BW WEB report
Hi all,
we are trying to create a jump query from a BW web report to a transaction IQ09 in R/3. we are able to create a jump to other transactions like MIGO...but cudnt for IQ09.
Will there be any transaction specific settings that i have to make.
Please let us know how to solve this?

Webi report data aggregation problem
Hi Gurus,
I have a problem when running webi report upon BI query.
In infoview, report shows as below,
Material Plant Sales
A 001 100
A 002 100
B 001 120
If I drap Plant column out, it shows,
Material Sales
A 100
B 120
Material A's sales is 100, not 200 as in BI rsrt1.

The problem still exists.
Another thing is , we got 3 dimensions, Material, Sales Org, Plant,
Key figure aggregates well for Sales Org and Plant, but not working for Material.

BW Field level Autorizations are not working in the WEBI Reports
Dear All,
1. I have created Authorization roles with Infoobjects Authorization Objects.
2. In Bex Query Authoizations are working on the Infoobjects like for
Ex: For USER1 I have given Company code = 1000 &
User 2 I have given authorization for 1100.....
3. Import those roles into Business Objects-CMC.
4.Users were Imported.
But in the WEBI Reports BW Field level Authorizations are not working i.e for USER1 authorization for Company code is 1000 , in WEBI report it is showing all the Company codes data for USER1.
For USER2 also showing all the data in the WEBI report.
Plz help me on this issue.

For Authorization to work in BO you can check the following:
1. You need to create authorization variables in your BEx query.
Also these variables should not be input ready.
2. While creating universe in BO you need to select "Single Sign On" option available in the parameters iwhile creating a new
connection.

This formula you used above is corrcet but is returning you a character '0' and when a descending sort is applied character values will be at the top.
So , apply the formula 'ToNumber' on the value returned form the above formula :-
ToNumber(above formula)
And then it will change 0 to number and give you the exact sort order.

Problem scheduling webi reports with XI3.1 pending forever

I've got a problem scheduling webi reports with XI3.1 scheduler.
After confiming scheduling job (loggin in with "administrator" user), status remains "pending" forever(using Infoview or CMC).
I tried different job recurrence a modalities (attachment formats, destination user etc).
I also try to add (-javaArgs "Xmx900m,Xincgc,server") wich is the SAP solution found on its portal but it does not work.
I use BO XI 3.1 in Windows 2003 server, after the install I reduced the maximum memory of Java in the tomcat 5.5.2 server from 1024 to 512 because the server never started with the initial size.
Please I need Help.

Scheduled WebIntelligence reports remain stuck in 'pending' status after installing Microsoft windows patches of April 2009. Restarting the Adaptive Job Server, Central Management Server or Server Intelligence Agent has no effect.
The Event Viewer logs show the following entry: Unable to start the sub-process (Job Server Child). Cause : Couldn't get IJob interface or writing IAudit: Pipe exception. Reason: jobserverchild (WebIJavaSchedulingService ReplicationSchedulingService, 0, Timeout waiting for Child [4716] to register ([120]seconds).
Reproducing the Issue
Install Business Objects Enterprise XI 3.x on a French Windows 2003 SP2 32bits server
Install the following Microsoft windows update patches of April 2009:

Schedule a WebIntelligence report
The report remains in Pending status
Business Objects Enterprise XI 3.1

Cause
With Microsoft windows patches of April 2009, the maximum Heap Size for java processes has been reduced to under 1000MB.
Resolution
Apply the following steps to fix the issue:
Launch the Central Management Console
Select Servers
Right click on <server_name>.Adaptive Job Server and select Properties
Add the switch -javaArgs "Xmx900m,Xincgc,server" in the command line of the server
Click on Save and Close
Restart the <server_name>.Adaptive Job Server

Problem in WEBI Report with PCM OLAP Universe (PCM MDX Connector)
We need to create reports in Web Intelligence from our PCM Models (Business Objects Profitability and Cost Management). We are able to create the olap universe using PCM MDX Connector and we have no problems creating the reports in webi. The problem is when we execute the report (run query): all the data from PCM model is loaded correctly (dimensions, levels, etc.), except the Measures. I mean, the values of all the measures are always zero (0). No matter the way we change the query (adding filters, adding or chopping dimensions, drilling levels, etc.) the value for every measure is zero.
We've checked the aggretation method of each measure in BO universe designer and are all correctly configured.
The model in PCM is calculated and even when we run the queries in PCM Model Builder tool directly to the model, the results are retrieved Ok and the measures have correct values (Revenue, lineitem values, etc.).

The reports we are creating of PCM are not from BW universes, but PCM OLAP Universes. PCM have its own cube OLAP files, and BO universes for those OLAP models use the Business Objects PCM MDX Driver.
Nevertheless I will try to catch the MDX statement, as you suggest, and see if something is wrong with it.
The versions we have are: “Business Objects Enterprise 12.3 build 601” and “Business Objects Profitability and Cost Management (PCM) 7.5.11”

Problem in Exporting Webi Report to Excel

I have developed a WEBI report in BOBJ 4.1 SP1 on top of IDT Universe and applied Drill Down analysis.
While exporting the WEBI Report to Excel, I'm getting Images in the place of columns where there is no data.
However, images are not getting in the columns where we have data.
Please suggest as this will help me a lot.

Hi All,
How many WebI reports we can display in a single dashboard, and what should we do to increase them without error.
Now, Our dashboard consist of 7 WebI reports, each of them have a link (OpenDoc) to open WebI in new window.
After a link have been clicked, then we open another dashboard tab, there are error message appears like this...
