Web security question

I have just completed a beautiful Lightroom 2 web gallery that is ready to be uploaded. I am uneasy about sending several hundred commercial photos I am marketing to the web without any copy protection. Is this a real concern and is there anything I can do within Lightroom to stop the economic loss from copying these photos? I have the same question about exporting slide shows from Lightroom via pdf. Thanks jc

There is very little - dare I say no -- protection with the default galleries found in Lr. Even Flash is easily circumvented.
Some protection would be offered by applying a copyright notice over the image and only uploading small images to web.
Best protection? Nothing goes on the web.

  • Every time I go into my web sites that have additonal security questions, I have to answer the questions as if I was on another computer. This is particular to Firefox and not internet explorer. How do I fix this annoyance?

Enhance security questions on 2 sites. I have to answer them every time I go out of firefox and back into the internet. If I continue using the internet and go back into the sites I only have to put in my user name and password

Google and Bing are '''Search engines''', where Firefox and IE are '''''web browsers'''''. To the right of the Location bar, where web addresses are typed, is the Search bar. Selecting a Search engine to use in the Search bar only controls the Search bar.
It sounds like your problem is with MSN being your '''Homepage''' and you want to change it to something else. See this support article: <br />

  • Set Security Question & Answer using UME API in Web dynpro Java

    Hi Experts,
I;ve developed a Web Dynpro java application to create a user in UME.
I am able to set all the user account related attributes but I am not able to set the security question and answer as I do not see any attribute for the same.
Can anyone please suggest how to set the Security question and answer in UME?
This is required so that if the user wishes to reset his password / forgets password, we can ask him the security question which he selected at the time of registration.
Please let me know if it can be achieved at the code level and whether UME API supports security question and answer or any such attribute.
Also, if no such attribute is present by default in UME at the moment; can we create/configure some custom attributes in UME and store the security question and answer into those attributes. This would serve our purpose.
    Kindly assist.
    Regards,
    Anurag

    Hi,
Thanks a lot for the reply!!!
    I have one doubt here:
You've mentioned the below code to fetch the security questions in your reply:
    IUser user = WDClientUser.getCurrentUser().getSAPUser();
    String CUSTOMER_NAMESPACE = "com.sap.security.core.usermanagement";
    String attmotname [] = user.getAttribute(CUSTOMER_NAMESPACE,"MotherName");
    String attlucknum [] = user.getAttribute(CUSTOMER_NAMESPACE,"LuckyNumber");
    String attmobnum [] = user.getAttribute(CUSTOMER_NAMESPACE,"MobileNumber");.
But this would be only applicable when the user has already logged on to the portal as it uses "WDClientUser.getCurrentUser().getSAPUser();" code.
On the contrary, I want the security questions and answer to be accessed even when the user is not logged on to Portal so that based on the question & answer, the user can reset his password.
Please suggest, how can we achieve this and where and how to set the custom attributes for the same?
Do we have to set the Publicly Viewable Custom Attributes present at location you mentioned in your reply?
Also, if yes; please let me know how to set the custom attributes?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Anurag

For security question i need trace in BW if a user printing a web report.

It is possible print a report by-pass the print function of Internet Explorer?
I cannot use exporting in excel function.

I was relieved to get the picture, but in retrospect I am very worried that connecting my phone to a public station like that was stupid, and that I might have opened myself up to malware or put my data in jeopardy.
Yes and yes.  There's a reason why iOS 7 asks you if you trust the computer you've just connected it to.

  • HT5624 how do I change the security questions on my daughters itunes account. I do not remember adding the questions and they do not make sence to me. can not figure out how to get to her  email account that it is showing for her altern

I cant seem to be able to change the secutity questions on my minor daughters itunes account. I set the account up but I do not remember adding the security questions and they do not make sense to me. It says that the alternate account it would be sent to is@ me.com but I can not figure our how to get to it to retreive the email to reset the questions. My daughters account may have recently been hacked so I am trying to change all passwords. I changed the itunes account and added another email but I still can not change security questions in case I ever need them.
    <Email Edited by Host>

We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple - I've asked the hosts to remove your email address from your post (it's not a good idea to post personal info on any public forum).
The reset link on an account will only show if there is a rescue email address on it, alternate email addresses are different and not used for resetting them. If she has a rescue email address on her account then steps 1 to 5 half-way down this page will give you a reset link on the account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
Navigate to appleid.apple.com using your web browser.
    Click "Manage your account"
When prompted, sign in using your Apple ID and password.
    Click Password & Security
You'll be asked to answer 2 of your 3 security questions before you can make any modifications. If you are unable to remember your answers, you can choose to send an email to your rescue email to reset your security questions.
If she doesn't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will need to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use steps 1 to 7 half-way down the HT5312 link above to add a rescue email address for potential future use

  • I can't reset my security questions

    Hi,
My mother just bought an iTunes gift card to make a purchase on her iTunes account, but when I add the card it tells me that she has to answer to the security questions.
The problem is that the answers that she gives me (which, as her son I know are right by all the stories she told me growing up), are apparently wrong.
I tried to see if the answers are case sensitive, but no luck. After that I tried to reset the security questions by sending the reset email to the secondary email address... the problem is: it never gets there.
I tried to change the secondary email address and even tried to add another one to it, but it doesn't even let me do that.
    So:
to make a purchase I need to respond to security questions
security questions tell me the answers are wrong
sending reset security questions email doesn't get sent/recieved
secondary email address doesn't receive the reset email
no possibillity to add another secondary email address because all email addresses are apparently in use (which isn't true, I have tried 7 different email addresses, and all are in use (not possible)
no possibillity to verify the existing secondary email address because the verification email doesn't get sent/recieved (double checked in mail app on different phones and on web portal to exclude problems with the app)
Im running out of tools in my toolbox to fix this and have a nice set of goose eggs because of hitting my head against brick walls, so if there is someone that can tell me how to fix this so that my mom can finally play word feud without ads, because right now it seems like as if Apple doesn't want to have her money...

  • How can I reset my apple id security questions, if I have not set a rescue email account?

My new iPhone says "To help ensure the security of your Apple ID we require additional information."  It then asks me for the answer to my security questions.  Which I can not remember.  I can log into iCloud and my apple ID, but can not change my security questions.  A web search indicates that I should be able to send a security email to my rescue email account.  Since this option does not appear on my accounts security question screen, it looks like I never setup a rescue email.  How do I reset my security questions, or setup/change my rescue email account?
    Thanks in Advance!!

Actually, you'll have more luck contacting AppleCare Phone Support.

  • HT5312 The security questions apparently aren't working to my favor. I give the answers I know and I guess my life is wrong? I've been looking and looking for a place to fix it but I get nothing. Help me please.

I need to figure out how to unlock my locked account. I just got a new iPod touch 5th generation and since it's my first purchase I have to answer security questions. When I answer I am wrong I guess and it doesn't show me a straight forward way on how to fix it. Just a never ending series of web pages. Is anyone able to actually help me?

  • Forgot my security question answers, how do I reset them?

I forgot my security question answers...... How can I reset them??? Help!!!

It's not due to lack of reading the screen.  I'm getting the same thing on one of my apple id accounts.  I logged in using two other accounts I have and each had a slightly different behavior.  One had the "reset password by email" button above the security questions that I could modify just fine.
However, my primary account which is used for accessing other services with Apple will not allow me to see the "reset password by email" or allow me to edit my security questions.  It gives me a combination of two questions out of three possible.  Unless I get the answer right, it will not let me reset the password or change my security questions.
I've scanned the web pages in painful detail and am not missing any instructions or other links that might help get around this "chicken and the egg" problem.
The primary difference between the problematic Apple ID and the others I've used is that it was associated with a Family Pack mobile me/.mac account.  It was the primary account.  Wonder if there is some special code to protect the primary account id so that the other five Mobile Me/.Mac accounts won't get compromised.  Just grasping at straws ...

  • After i enter a website it appears a security question when i say for it to allow the webpage appears out of normal, what to do?

when i'm entenring a page like facebook the security question appears, i press ad exception and then the page appears nothing like normal, it apears like someone copyed every text and put in Word.

That sounds strange. Are you sure it's the correct site?
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    (1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
    (2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site:
    * right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    * Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
That will open a dialog where you can remove the cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

  • I forgot my the awnser to my security questions and now it's not letting me download anything . How do I change my security questions?

I really need to know this because now every time I try to buy something it takes me to the security questions

I had the exact same problem.  Luckily, I solved it.  Eventually. First, go to:
    www.appleid.apple.com
Then, you will see a link at the bottom.  It will ask if you have forgotten your answers.  Click the link, and it will send an e-mail to your rescue e-mail.
After you have sent the e-mail and received it, click the link in the e-mail.  This will bring you to another web-site.  Click "Manage My Account".
From there you can change rescue emails, security questions/answers, phone number, passwords, etc.

Yes, the IronPort WSA will support all the security functions including Anti-Virus, Anti-Malware, Anti-Spyware, Web Reputation when working in conjunction with an existing proxy.
    There are two conditions:
    1. WSA acts as an upstream proxy - In this case, the authentication will be handled by your existing proxy, but the WSA is the first layer of defense. The WSA will perform a lookup in its web reputation database based on the destination. Also, The WSA can scan the http response with Anti-Virus, Anti-SpyWare and Anti-Malware software. However, since the WSA doesn't have user authentication information, you can only apply global controls for Acceptable Use.
    2. WSA has to go through an existing upstream proxy - In this case, the WSA has all the security functionality. In addition, it also handles the authentication. Hence, you can apply role based controls.

  • Security Questions are getting cached

    Hi,
We recently discovered that our security authentication answers are frequently cached by web browsers. Is there something we can do on the server side to stop this? We have several public terminals used for claiming accounts and changing passwords, etc.. When a user loads the change user answers form, and starts to type in an answer, the form will try to auto-complete the answer, and display other similar answers that people have submitted.
I tried setting the autocomplete property, but IDM does not support it on text fields it seems. I then changed the fields to html elements and modified them so their html output is the same as when they were text field objects. However, the form stopped working then. It no longer saves answers if I do that.
How have people addressed this before? It seems like it would be a security concern for any IDM installation that has a public terminal available for changing passwords / etc..
    Thanks,
    Jim

There are a few browser level settings I found that help. In firefox you can choose a setting that is title something like "Remember form fields and search bar entries". Making sure it is not checked will stop the auto complete. In IE there is a "Do not cache data from a secure connection" or something similar. That helps to. At the html level there is also an attribute for form elements called autocomplete. So you can set autocomplete=off for the elements.
John, the form I am working with is security questions. The name of the fields are the IDs of the questions. So I can't really make them dynamic.
The fix wasn't the greatest. IDM does not yet support the autocomplete attribute. When I manually added it to the text form field object, it generated an error when I viewed the form. When I changed the field object to an html object, and dictated the html, the workflow to save the answers stopped working. Ultimately I had to do a search and replace in the html in the JSP to add the autocomplete attribute.
