Web Service model creation : no error, but no model created

Hi all,
I would like to create a Web Service service model : Models-> Create Model -> Import Web Service model -> Local File System or URL
I am using a local WSDL file. My NWDS version is 7.0.6.
Everything seems to be OK, I don't get any error, but unfortunaltely no model is created, although I see that some files are generated in the 'proxies' folders.
Here is the WSDL file I want to import. Does something look wrong to you ?
  <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>

Thanks for sharing your tips on this forum, as it will be useful for other users, that run into this issue.
Feedback like this will also help us improve error reporting in the next release, as missing class files in the packaged application is a common issue when developers are moving from the embeded oc4j instance packaged with JDewveloper to standalone instances.

I would re-run FIM setup - I think it can re-create this account

  • Web Services problem - Server connection error

    Hi everybody.
When i try to enable the Web Services i get an error. I am connected to the internet (WiFi) and the connection is ok.
    The error is the following:
    Server Connection Error
The printer was unable to connect to the server. Check the internet connection and try again, or enter a proxy address.
I do not have a proxy, and the internet connection is ok! Why do i get this problem?
    Thank you very much.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

Let's set a static IP address for the printer:
    - Print a Network Config Page from the front of the printer. Note the printer's IP address.
    - Type that IP address into a browser to reveal the printer's internal settings.
    - Choose the Networking tab, then Wireless along the left side, then the IPv4 tab.
    - On this screen you want to set a Manual IP. You need to set an IP address outside the range that the router automatically sets (called the DHCP range). You can find the DHCP range of the router using its internal settings page or in its manual. Use the CD that came with your router or type the router's IP address (ends in .1) into a browser.
    - Use 255.255.255.0 for the subnet (unless you know it is different, if so, use that)
    - Enter your router's IP (on the Network Config Page) for the gateway and first DNS. Leave the second one blank.  <<< The DNS could be your problem.  If this does not work, try Google's DNS 8.8.8.8
    - Click 'Apply'.
Now, shut down the router and printer, start the router, wait, then start the printer.
After this you may need to redo 'Add a Printer' using the new IP address.

  • Testing web service results in no response, but HTTP Error 500

    Hi All,
I've already solved my problem, but I wanted to share my results. It took two days of pain, so you could imagine how wonderful I felt when it was solved. :)
Problem: I am exposing PL/SQL procedures as web services, using JDeveloper 10.1.3. I noticed that when I expose procedures that return complex types (like records), it caused all of the web service calls to die silently. I couldn't see any other errors except Apache's HTTP 500 error. But when I ran the web service locally using JDeveloper's OC4J engine, I didn't receive any errors. Everything worked. I looked at the opmn/logs/* dir, and still no signs of the real error. So I set out to learn where I could view more logs, and I eventually found the error inside $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/MyConatiner/log/MyContainer*/oc4j/log.xml, after I increased the verbosity.
Solution: I found the "NoClassFound" error after I fiddled with j2ee-logging.xml. The funny part is, the error did not show up in the ERROR or INTERNAL_ERROR module types. Some of the wrapper Java classes that were generated to deal with complex types (records) and even arrays, were not being included in the EAR/WAR file for deployment! That's why when I ran the web service locally using JDeveloper, there were no errors (since the classes were present). Now, before I deploy I always check what is being deployed... :)
Here's what I learned through the process. Hope it's helpful!
keywords: http 500 error empty test response reply web service deploy complex data types arrays logs pl/sql procedures functions
    Debugging
There are several places where logging occurs on Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.
This is not a complete list, but it covers the main areas. Let's assume our OC4J
    container is called MyContainer:
    OPMN
        * tail -f $ORACLE_HOME/opmn/logs/*MyContainer*
        * To adjust the verbosity, use the Enterprise Manager web interface: click on
the container, then on the Administration -> Logger Configuration. Now you can
set the logging level for different components.
    Apache
        * tail -f $ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/logs/*log
        * The file names depend on the ErrorLog? and CustomLog? directives in
httpd.conf. You can adjust the verbosity by changing the LogLevel
           Apache directive.
    J2EE
        * tail -f $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/MyContainer/log/MyContainer*/oc4j/log.xml
        * You can adjust the verbosity by editing
           $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/MyContainer/config/j2ee-logging.xml. Look for the
<logger> element, and set its 'level' attribute to 'TRACE:32' for the most
           information.
        * From experience, these logs are the best. :-)
    Oracle
        * tail -f $ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/logs/oracle/log.xml
        * To enable and configure this logging system, add the following to your httpd.conf:
          OraLogMode oracle
          OraLogSeverity TRACE:32
          OraLogDir ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/logs/oracle
        * More info: http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25221_04/web.1013/b25211/servlog.htm

  • Problem with uploading files to SharePoint 2013 in cloud using web services. Keep getting error message and don't know why.

Hello everyone. I am having trouble writing a utility that uses SharePoint web services to upload a file and metatag it. It keeps throwing the following error message:
"The request failed with the error message: -- <html><head><title>Object moved</title></head><body> <h2>Object moved to <a href="/_forms/default.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fsites%2fgk%2f_vti_bin%2fcopy.asmx">here</a>.</h2>
    </body></html> --."
Not sure why. I pass the file that I am going to upload to the subroutine and it is suppose to upload it to the appropriate library. I have burned several days on this problem and I am not sure what is going on. I would appreciate anyone that can point me in
the right direction. Below is the subroutine that I have that is causing the problem. Obviously, I have stripped the name from the example.
    Thanks

    Hi,
If you want to upload a file to a library in SharePoint 2013 online, I suggest you use Client Object Model or REST API.
The code snippets in the two threads below will be helpful:

  • Deploying a web service to WebLogic 7 - error with RemoteDispatcherBean

    Hi there,
I have just created a web service through WebLogic Workshop. The web service can be tested through the workshop and it works fine
I am trying now to deploy it to a development server, and I am having the following error:
    preparing application <appName> on mope

Looking inside the EAR I generated (using jwsCompile), I can find several classes RemoteDispatchBean_bu6zup_....class but no RemoteDispatchBean.class file anywhere
Am I doing anything wrong to generate the EAR file? Anything fancy I need to include to my jws file or any descriptor?
Any idea or suggestion would be much appreciated
    Thank you,
    Miguel

We have found a work around for that specific problem.
We have included the whole knex library within our libs folder. Now we can deploy the Web services as a web application to the webLogic, The deployment returns successful, but any time we initiate the server, there is another ClassNotFoundException. This time the missing class is weblogic.knex.bean.DeploymentListener.
The strange thing is that that specific class is part of the knex.jar library we have included within our libs folder ...
It seems that the folder is not read from the server when starting, but it is read when executing the application.
    Any suggestion to this nonsense?
    Thanks,
    Miguel

  • Cannot enable ePrint Web Services - get internet connection error for HP LaserJet 1102W

I have a HP laptop running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.  We just changed over to Comcast internet service from AT&T where my HP LaserJet 1102W was set up for ePrint.  After several hours, I was finally able to add the 1102W printer to the Comcast network, access the Embedded Web Server tool and print wirelessly but I cannot set up ePrint.  I have deleted the printer but cannot get it to connect to Web Services.  I keep on getting:  Connection Error. Check Internet Connection but again, I can print wirelessly successfully to the printer but would like to be able to set it back up for ePrint.  My Comcast router is an Arris TG862.
I have updated the firmware and used the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool but still am not able to get the ePrint Web Services to connect.  Here is the information from the Networking page of the EWS:

    Hi Surf1981,
I understand that you're not able to enable web services on your printer.  I would try steps listed below.
    1. Open an internet browser type printer's IP address.
    2. Should bring you to the printer's status page.
    3. Select networking tab at the top.
    4. Left hand side select Network Identification.
    5. Under DNS address Configuration select Manual DNS Server.
    6. For Preferred enter 8.8.8.8
    7. For Alternate enter 8.8.4.4
    8. Select apply. You might get a warning saying this could interrupt connection that's fine.
    9. Turn printer off for about 30 seconds then try again.

  • Web Service: XMLUnmarshalException: XML Deserialization Error

    Hi,
I am trying to use a complex web structure in web service.
I am simply trying to display some data from that web service in my view.
I am getting the foll error:
    <b>
Service call exception; nested exception is:
com.sap.engine.services.webservices.jaxrpc.exceptions.XmlUnmarshalException: XML Deserialization Error. XML is not valid. Element [http://www.siebel.com/xml/Account Interface]<Account> is required in <SiebelMessage> but can not be found.[Ljava.lang.StackTraceElement;@2fe4e7
    </b>
I have gone thru most of the posts but they all have XMLMarshalException and not XMLUnmarshalException.
    Any inputs please?
    Regards,
    Dev

    Hi Bala,
I tried your suggestion but that did not work!
I am not trying to test that web service via WSNavigator.
Problem is my service does not come there once i deploy it.
I am a newbie to WebServices so please correct me where am I wrong in these steps:
    1. I create a Deployable Proxy Project
    2. Then, i create a new Client Proxy Definition
    3. I enter pkg name, Proxy name, choose Local System. Then i give the WSDL location and finally press Finish.
(It has created several files including ClientAPI.jar)
    4. Lastly, i chose Build EAR and deployed it.
But i cannot see my web service in that list!
Can you please help me in checking the request-response cycle for this web service.

  • Web services with JDeveloper - serialization error

    Dear all,
I have an issue with web services created with JDeveloper 10.1.3.2.0.
Namely, this is what I do:
    1. I've created some TopLink classes from tables; one of this classes is called Task (and it's located in a package called "integration")
    2. I've created another class, called Integration, where I use these TopLink classes; in this new class I have a method called getTasksStatus, which returns an ArrayList containing Task objects
    3. I've created a web service from this class (Integration) by right-clicking on the class name in Applications Navigator and choosing Create J2EE Web Service.
When I call the method getTasksStatus from the test web service (endpoint),
    I get this error:
    Oct 8, 2007 7:14:30 PM oracle.webservices.service
SEVERE: serialization error: no serializer is registered for (class integration.Task, null) serialization error: no serializer is registered for (class integration.Task, null)
When I call a method which returns a primitive type, everything is fine.
I understand the problem, but I don't know a solution yet. Could you please help ?
    Thank you,
    Best regards,
    Sorin

One solution to this problem is to make sure that the complex type you are using in yous service interface do implement the JAVA Bean as per the spec (at least Oracle's interpretation of it).
You need to have getter/setter for all members and you need to have an empty ctor() to create new instances of your objects. In some cases, the design time let you get by, but the runtime fails in the code generation.
In your case, the 'Task' class may have some issue.
    Hope it helps,

  • Accessing SOAP Web Services: Running on Acrobat 9, But NOT on Adobe Reader 9.

    Hi All,
I am using webservice to populate form control. It is working fine in Acrobat 9 but When I am opening form in Adobe Reader 9 its NOT WORKING. Its niether giving any error nor any respone. Do Adobe Reader need some extra code to access/run web services or where I am wrong? Please help.
    Thanks.
    Abhinav

    Hi Anhinav,
Because reader is not "extended" Web Services will not work on Reader.  They do however (as you've noted) work in Acrobat, which is "extended".
To make web services work in Reader, you will need to purchase the LiveCycle Reader Extensions.
    Hope that helps.

  • P6v7 Web Services Oracle Universal Installer Error Setting Java_Home veriab

    Hi,
I am installing Primavera P6 v7 web serivces on a Ms Windows 2003 SP2 server machine but it gives error "error setting Java_Home environment variable" every time i run the oracle universal installer setup of P6 v7 web services. I have already installed Java JRE1.6.0_14 and set the JAVA_HOME variables in both system and user variables. I have also tried manually setting path of JAVA during setup but no luck so far everytime same error. I have been looking at the log file in oracle inventory folder but did not find any hint to resolve the issue.
Please suggest a solution or workaround.
    Regards,
    Shahid

r u using 32bit or 64bit java?? better to use 32 bit java. Create 3 variable for EPPM P6
    1) variable name: JAVA_HOME Value: c:\Java32\JRE1.6.0_27
    2) variable name: JRE_Location value: c:\Java32\jdk.1.6.0_27\jre
    3) variable name: p6_java_home value: c:\Java32\jdk.1.6.0_27

For me it looks it is an issue in the response payload that ABAP proxy can not process it.
such as, the response payload NS prefix is soapenv, other than soap-env in request payload...
but i am not sure, whether this is the root cause.
Could you help me to find out what is going wrong here?

the response payload NS prefix is soapenv, other than soap-env in request payload
xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" is equivalent to xmlns:soap-env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" . Namespace defined correctly.
I can also see that response is correct (assuming "S" denote success):
    <CreateITEMReturn>S</CreateITEMReturn>
Also check type of WSDL style usually this error occurs if you are using RPC/Encoded style WSDL, modify wsdl for Document/Literal style (as RPC style WSDL not supported by ABAP proxy), see this discussion here: Cleint Proxy error

  • Loadjava and jpub in web service using UTL_DBWS giving errors - Help Please

    Hi all,
Solicit your help in the below-mentioned scenario.
I am trying to access some published web services from 9.2.0.1.0 RDBMS using UTL_DBMS API. I have accomplished the same using UTL_HTTP. I have followed the instructions specified in:
to prepare the database, download Callout Utility for pre-10g RDBMS (ZIP, 5.68MB), JPub 9.2.0.1.0 Production and OC4J Release 10.1.2 (standalone) and set the environment variables.
    loadjava ran successfully for:
    %ORACLE_DB_HOME%/BIN/loadjava -user scott/tiger@ORACLE -r -v -f -grant public -genmissing %ORACLE_HOME%/OC4J/j2ee/home/lib/servlet.jar
    %ORACLE_DB_HOME%/BIN/loadjava -user scott/tiger@ORACLE -r -v -f -grant public -genmissing %ORACLE_HOME%/OC4J/j2ee/home/lib/ejb.jar

    %ORACLE_DB_HOME%/BIN/loadjava -user scott/tiger@ORACLE -r -v -f -grant public -genmissing %ORACLE_HOME%/soap/webapps\soap\WEB-INF\lib\soap.jar
    But it gave error for:
    %ORACLE_DB_HOME%/BIN/loadjava -user scott/tiger@ORACLE -r -v -f -grant public -genmissing %ORACLE_HOME%/OC4J/j2ee/home/lib/mail.jar

ORA-29534: referenced object SCOTT.oracle/core/odjl/logMessage could not be resolved.
    ORA-29545: badly formed class.
And while trying to run JPub using:
    jpub -user=scott/tiger -sysuser sys/change_on_install -httpproxy=www-proxy.us.oracle.com:80 -proxywsdl=http://www.webservicex.net/stockquote.asmx?wsdl -endpoint=http://www.webservicex.net/stockquote.asmx -proxyopts=soap,tabfun -dir=Stock -plsqlpackage=soap_callout_wrapper
    I get error:
J2T-120, ERROR: Illegal option "-proxywsdl=http://www.webservicex.net/stockquote.asmx?wsdl" ignored

Any help in resolving these issues will be appreciated. Kindly also advise which api – UTL_HTTP or UTL_DBWS I should go for and why.
    Regards,
    Leslie

It may be better to post this problem to this forum - http://forums.oracle.com/forums/category.jspa?categoryID=24 since this is much more related to loadjava and jpub
