HP LaserJet 600 M601 HP Web Services tab disappeared
Setup a new M601 yesterday. Networking and printing work fine, but when I would click on the "HP Web Services" tab and try to enable web services, it kept popping up an error and tell me to check proxy settings. No proxy. Installed the most recent firmware (2200643_22834) and logged back in. Networking and printing working fine. Now the "HP Web Services" tab is gone! Ran through the firmware update again, same result. Would try to access it by direct url, but I have no idea what it is.
Where can I get the original firmware?
Does someone know the URL so I can try to directly access the page, should look something like, https://192.168.x.x/hp/device/???
Any other ideas? Is there some sort of console command line access for this printer?
Thanks, hope someone can help with this.Hi there
I hope you are doing well and I hope you do not mind a suggestion
Your M601 is a commercial product. I suggest posting in the forum for HP Business Support for a better chance at finding a prompt solution.
You may find the commercial Laserjet board here.

Deployed web services disappear
Folks,
I have installed CE 7.1 SP3 trail version,
When I deploy the web service, I can go to web service navigator and I see my web service there. However, they disappear from web services navigator if I restart my server.
How do I make them persistent?
Regards
HaseebThe reason you don't see your services in the drop-down is because, CE does lazy initialization of EJB components (gives you a faster startup time of the server itself). But your services are still available to you. You do not need to redeply each time you start the server. One thing you could do is create a logical destinal (in NWA) for each service and use the "search by logical destination" button. You should always see your logical names in that drop-down that you can use to invoke your services. Hope it helps.

Unable to download object schema from Web services administration
Hi,
When I try to download generic/custom schema for Account/Contact/Campaign/Opportunity from Admin->web services administration , I get the following error:
Schema file generation for the requested object in Web Services v2.0 is not currently supported in CRM On Demand.
Why? I tried for some other objects as well, with the same result. How can I get the custom/generic schema for objects and how can I get the object model diagram for Oracle CRM OnDemand?
Regards,Please post this question in the CRM On Demand Integration Development forum.

Hello,
I've got a little problem with Web Service authentication configuration.
I'm working on the SAP NetWeaver CE EHP1 7.11. I also have a XMII application deployed on the server and there are some SOAP Web Services(over XMII Transactions) that require basic authentication.
I use all Web Services in the EJB layer. So, I've generated proxy using SAP NetWeaver as a Web Service Runtime for generation. And Iuse an injection mechanism to get a service implementation:
@WebServiceRef(name="GetBatchListService")
private XacuteWS batchListWS;
In this case I could use Single Service Administration application in the NetWeaver Administrator@SOA Management@Application and Scenario Communication to configure basic authentication for EVERY Web Service. And this configuration disappears after every redeploy.
The question is how and where could I configure authentication for all web services?
I've read a lot of documentation, but, unfortunately, I haven't found needed one. I could see 2 direction of searching now, it might help:
1) Destination: Configure HTTP Destination or Web Service Template Destination and use it in all Web Services proxies somehow.
2) Find Configuration way: Create a configuration group or anything else to configure all services from one screen.
Best Regards,
DmitryDimtris,
If your WSDL url is pointing to the URL of the Adapter Engine as shownin the Hot to Use the SOAP adapter there is no option. You cannot add it to the SOAP Url.
But, if you change the SOAP Url to the Url shown in this blog by Stefan Grube then you can add the user id and pasword to the url by adding sap- user=userid and sap-password = password.
The optin shown ion the blog by Grube can be used as long as you do not have to use SOAP attachments and in this case you would not need both sender SOAP adapter and a sender agreement.

Multiple web services on single server causing object undefined errors
Hi,
I've currently got a bit of a strange problem within a web service that is proving difficult to debug.
There are the web service urls :
api.domain.com -> /var/www/html/api.domain.com/ -> CF mapping to MYSERVICE
testapi.domain.com -> /var/www/html/testapi.domain.com/ -> CF mapping to MYSERVICE_test
In both instances the cfcs that contain the code to be translated into a WSDL reside in /api/..., in the case of this example, /api/common.cfc. wsargs constists simply of refreshwsdl true.
If I call the following 2 lines ...
obj_myservice = CreateObject('webservice','http://api.domain.com/api/common.cfc?wsdl',wsargs);
obj_myservice_test = CreateObject('webservice','http://testapi.domain.com/api/common.cfc?wsdl',wsargs);
I then call the same method in both, and they are successful. When checking the "Data & Services" -> "Web Services" panel within the CF control panel, only the web service "http://api.domain.com/api/common.cfc?wsdl" is listed, and not testapi.domain.com......
If I reverse the order in which the WSDL's are loaded then this switches, and testapi.domain.com..... gets listed under "Web Services" but api.domain.com..... does not. In essence it appears as though for some reason the CF server overwrites one with the other. The exact "object undefined" error is proving difficult to reproduce reliably.
This appears to happen no matter which server is accessing the web service, be it the same server or a remote server. All servers involved are running CF8. Accessing the 2 WSDL files in a browser results in the 2 WSDLs being rendered correctly with different namespace values.
On the same server are 2 more services
MYSERVICE2
MYSERVICE2_test
These reside in the /api2 directories on the same 2 subdomains, api. and testapi. MYSERVICE2 and MYSERVICE2_test appear to conflict with each other. MYSERVICE and MYSERVICE_test appear to conflict with each other. MYSERVICE and MYSERVICE2 do not appear to conflict with each other.
Is there a configuration change or anything like that which I should be aware of that would prevent me doing the above? The 2 /api/ directories are nearly identical with the exception that the namespace and complex type names have been set to http://api.domain.com & MYSERVICE in the first, and http://testapi.domain.com & MYSERVICE_test in the second url.
I have also tried mapping /MYSERVICE and /MYSERVICE_test within /opt/coldfusion8/WEB-INF/jrun-web.xml to no avail.
Any help would be appreciated. If there is any useful information that I have missed off please let me know and I'll dig it out.
- Simon HHi,
As an extension to the above
Server Test service "Live" service
1 ("dev") devtest devlive http://dev(test/live).domain.com
2 ("test") testtest testlive http://test(test/live).domain.com
I currently have a test script (TEST1) that performs the following :
CreateObject + call method from devlive
CreateObject + call method from devtest
CreateObject + call method from testtest
The script errors on the third, when it attempts to call a method from devtest. On the server on which this test script is running, by the end of this, there are the following 2 web services in the Coldfusion control panel :
http://devlive.domain.com/api/common.cfc?wsdl
http://testtest.domain.com/api/common.cfc?wsdl
I have a second test script (TEST2) on a second server distinctfrom the first test script server, on which the following is performed :
CreateObject + call method from testlive
If I execute TEST2, then it executes fine. If I execute TEST1 straight after, then I receive the following error on TEST1
AxisFault
faultCode: {http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/}Server.userException
faultSubcode:
faultString: org.xml.sax.SAXException: Deserializing parameter 'objectFetchReturn': could not find deserializer for type {http://common.types.WEBSERVICE_test}details
Where WEBSERVICE.types.common.details is a complex type (/api/types/common/details.cfc). If I then run the TEST2 script again straight after, the same error appears (with WEBSERVICE in place of WEBSERVICE_test). If I execute TEST2 twice in a row, or TEST1 twice in a row, then the error disappears"test" server has got jrun-web.xml edited to include the following, which "dev" does not.
<virtual-mapping>
<resource-path>/WEBSERVICE_test</resource-path>
<system-path>/var/www/html/testapi.domain.com/api</system-path>
</virtual-mapping>
<virtual-mapping>
<resource-path>/WEBSERVICE</resource-path>
<system-path>/var/www/html/api.domain.com/api</system-path>
</virtual-mapping>
I hope that this extended explaination helps.

Can't re-add printer after removing from eprint center - 'Web Services Problem'
I have an HP Photosmart Premium C310 series printer (Model Number CN503B) which I have been using with ePrint for about 18 months. Aside from intermittent issues it has worked, I use a chromebook most of the time so rely on the ePrint option via Google Cloud Print.
Last week it stopped working, with every job in the list showing as cancelled. Following advice on the forum I removed the email address of the printer from the eprint center. I thought it would then be simple to add the printer back. However, I have been unable to connect the printer to the web service so I cannot create the code I need to add the printer back.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Factory reset printer settings
2. Factory reset network settings
3. Restart printer and Reboot router
3. Settings -> Network -> Wireless Setup Wizard
4. Choose correct SSID, enter password for WPA
5. ‘Connected to Network’
6. Settings -> Web -> Enable Web Services
7. ‘Accept terms’ screen -> Accept
8. ‘Checking for product updates’ screen shows briefly then returns to 'accept terms' screen
9. Next it makes a ping sound and shows ‘Web Services Problem’ ‘Problem connecting to Web Services Server’, it then pings again a few seconds later (which ties in with what I see in the network logs as a second attempt)
10. Log on to printer via web interface and set IP address of printer to manual IP outside DHCP range (as advice on other threads in this forum). Check DNS setting valid (same as gateway server which all other devices on network are also using successfully as DNS)
11. Repeat steps 6 and 7 - still same error message
I consider myself technically savvy and have followed all advice I can find on this forum including the following:
1. reverting to printer and network defaults
2. rebooting router
3. assigning static IP address to printer outside of DHCP range of router
4. connecting to printer via web interface and setting DNS to variously: same as gateway, google DNS (8.8.8.8), ISP DNS
5. adjusting firewall settings on router to explicitly allow and log outbound connection on the HP ports (already had a rule allowing all outbound connections)
As mentioned, the printer worked fine with ePrint previously so I suspect the ePrint server is rejecting a request from my printer for some reason, maybe because there is old / corrupt data on the server regarding my specific printer.
I’m logging outbound traffic from the printer and here are what the router logs show me (printer IP replaced with 192.168.x.x below, even though it is not public )

Looks like both are HP sites: first is 'g4t2674.houston.hp.com' and the second secure one is ‘registration-pro-site2eprint.houston.hp.com’ which sound likely to be correct. That suggests the DNS is working but that the registration server doesn’t like the request for some reason.
I had the printer registered for Google Cloud Print but I have now deleted that also and it doesn’t seem to have made any difference (assume it just formats and forwards to the HP ePrint email anyway).
One hack that sheds some further light is to switch off wifi on the printer and then switch on ePrint. Eprint gives an error but stays set as 'on'. When I then switch wifi back on I can then at least check for product updates (it tells me I have the latest product updates). However, web services are still a 'no go'. Network traffic for that product update exchange looks like this:

So clearly the printer can communicate to those servers well enough to find it has the latest firmware.
I realise this is a lot of information but hopefully some of it is helpful for troubleshooting.
Thank you in advance for any help!The issue disappeared this weekend. I didn't change anything so it must have been something server side. I notice others with the same issue have also seen it resolved.
Thanks to all those who contributed and tried to help out. Although disappointed I went for a long time without ePrint I'm glad that action was apparently taken to resolve in the end. -
Setting the data source of an External List to a WCF Web Service
From SharePoint Online, I want to create/connect an External List to a SQL Azure data source. This will feed a Visio diagram so I want it to be able to refresh and dynamically retrieve
current data via Visio Services.<o:p></o:p>
I have a published WCF Web Service in place (Azure Website) connected to this database that consolidates data from multiple tables and returns a variety of generic lists. From
my readings, this should bypass the need for much of the security (e.g. secure store, etc...).
Can I do this? I'm not seeing an option to Create an ECT as in past versions to connect to this endpoint. Do I have to create something in Visual Studio to Import? Any direction
would be much appreciated.<o:p></o:p>
EdFind and increase these variables in IIS: maxRequestEntityAllowed and uploadReadAheadSize
I had a similar issue a while back due to these settings. They control data to and from ISAPI connections (of which CF is one) according to this article:
http://www.iis.net/configreference/system.webserver/serverruntime
Sorry, I cant recall off hand where exactly those settings are in IIS but a quick Google search should turn it up for you. -
"RABAX" occurs on server side error while testing asynchoronous web service

End;Hi,
there are a lot of option to make plsql web services .
First you can stay with jdev 10.1.3
Use the xmldb servlets
use jdev 11g tp4 to create plsql ws and upgrade to jdev 11g production
And I think in the next release of jdev it will be back , there are more options which disappeared like the adf bc sdo ws or jmx datacontrol etc.
thanks Edwin
