• How to use wsit with jeveloper for developing and testing web servises

hi, all. Just want to ask one realy simple quastion.
I'm new with web servises, so my question may be doesn't fall well into this section , but this community looks friendly for me and i hope to get some usefull links and advises.
First of all could anybody say me if i'm righ or wrong with the following suggestions:
1. What is the principal difference between axis 2 and wsit products? Do i understand right that they both extend or support so called jax-ws2 API and represent different approaches in that (are they competitors?), or this products serve for different sakes at all and could be used together? I want to understand without much digging how these products correlate with each other...
2. If i'm right what is oracle favor? And if oas standard supply doesn't include wsit, how to install and use this product for creating interoperable web servises in jdeveloper enviroment? ...or jax-ws 2.1 wasn't included in oc4j v10 and will be the part of v11 only?
Thanks in advance. Alex.

Both Axis and WSIT are not Oracle products - so I'm not exactly sure why would you post the question here.
JDeveloper has native support for JAX-RPC based Web services development in 10.1.3 and JAX-WS support in 11 - check out the online demos linked from the home page to see these in action.

You have to use any type of Version Control (e.g subversion).
You can read about Version Control. But I will talk about subversion in brief description:
1- Setup subversion server.
2- From subversion server create new Repository and define users (or use users from active directory).
3- From JDeveloper Main Menu --> View --> Team -- > Versioning Navigator --> Create new connection to your subversion repository.
4- Create new ADF application in JDeveloper.
5- In Jdeveloper Main Menu ---> Versioning -- > Version Application -- > select the subversion connection.
6- Add the application in subversion.
7- All developer should make a connection to the repository they will see the ADF application.
8- Right Click on the ADF application --> Check Out.
9- All developer will take a copy of the ADF application in their local machine.
10- If developer make changes in the application he can commit changes to repository and all others users can update changes.
This is a quick and brief description of how to use subversion for team development.

• Disscussion abt web servises

Hello every body,
IF I am using axis and I have deployed a web service implemented in java using jax-rpc soap. Do I explicitly need wsdl files for java client to communicate with the java server
If you can guide me what I need to do step by step it would be great.
thanks
with regards

HI,
Yes you need the WSDl file, because lets say you want to access teh web service on some other clinet based application, then in that case you need to generate proxy classes, and if you dont have proxy classes then there is no way any one can access your web service, so YES YOU NEED TO HAVE WSDL WHILE DEPLOYING YOUR WEB SERVICE.

• Web servises is not getting enable

i have applied all settings like you told in last msg but it still showing msg "check your internet connection "
and i m having strong internet connection also

Hi @souru
If you are still having issues enabling the web services, please try using 209.244.0.3 for the Primary DNS server and 209.244.0.4 for the Alternate DNS server. These are Level3’s public DNS servers. I have found recently that the Laserjet series of printers work better with Level3’s DNS servers.
If you are still unable to enable the web services after doing the above, please call HP’s Cloud Services at 1-855-785-2777 if you live in the USA/Canada region. If you live outside the USA/Canada region please click here to find the Technical Support number for your country/region.

I don't have the problem with the second arugument, using essentially the same command as yours. Could you make sure you clean up the following subdirectories and retry:
ear query.ear src war
My guess is that the leftover subdirectories in your previous run are playing game with you. You can simplify leftover management by specifying -output setting.

• Error:1067 - Implicit coercion of a value of type QName to an unrelated type QName

hi,
I'm new in flex and my english not good. I'll try to explain
my problem :(
I have an application mxml and a component mxml. I imported a
wsdl from .net webservice.
In main mxml I added:
<mx:Application .....
xmlns:webservices="generated.webservices.*"/>
and
<webservices:xService id="m_service"/>
there is no problem for this. But when I added into component
mxml like this:
<mx:Canvas.....
xmlns:webservices2="generated.webservices.*"/>
and
<webservices2:xService id="m_service2"/>
I'm getting the following error:
error line sample: (and 633 similar lines in
generated.webservices)
responseMessage.wrappedQName = new QName("
http://tempuri.org/","GetMemberListResponse");
error:
1067: Implicit coercion of a value of type QName to an
unrelated type QName
When I removed the <webservices2:xService
id="m_service2"/> line from component mxml, I'm not getting an
error.
Flex 3.0 - sdk 4.0
Thanx for your helps

thanx your answer,
I changed (like this:[WebService(Namespace = "
http://Info.WebService/MyInfoService"))
but it doesn't work. I still have same problem.
It's really strange problem. When I used in application mxml,
it's working. But when I used in component mxml, I'm getting error.
I tested the web servise in other test application mxml with
following code: (it's working excellent)
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<mx:Application xmlns:mx="
http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml"
layout="absolute" xmlns:webservices="generated.webservices.*"
creationComplete="test12()">
<mx:Script>
<![CDATA[
import mx.rpc.AsyncToken;
private function test12():void
m_service12.addgetFuelList_header(GetAuthHeader());
m_service12.getFuelList();
]]>
</mx:Script>
<mx:Script source="***/ServiceAuthHeaderGetter.as"/>
<webservices:TankInfoService id="m_service12"/>
<mx:DataGrid
dataProvider="{m_service12.getFuelList_lastResult}">
</mx:DataGrid>
</mx:Application>
And finally I closed "Enable strict type checking" from
project properties and the errors are disappeared.
But now I got new problems with webservice :)
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of
a null object reference.
I guess <webservices:TankInfoService id="m_service"/>
is null.
But why?
in component mxml
I added xmlns:webservices="generated.webservices.*" namespace
and
<webservices:TankInfoService id="m_service"/>
my code is:
m_service.addgetMemberList_header(GetAuthHeader());
m_service.getMemberByUserPassword(this.txtUser.text,
this.txtPassword.text);
the error:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method
of a null object reference.
Any ideas???

• Multiple soap modules

hello,
i'm biulding a flex client that works with a soap web servise, i imported the wsdl though the wizard and all was good...
untill i had to use a diffrent module within the same webService.
the other module uses some of the same soap types as the first one(the type's name space is maped to the first module) and vice versa.
as a resoult when i try to import the secound module i get the following error:
The specified ActionScript package already contains a file with the same name
as one of the classes to be generated: <some class name>.as.
Try choosing a different ActionScript package or renaming the existing file.
so naturaly i used a diffrent package, now the problem is that now i have duplicates of the same class in diffrent pakages and one module is overwriting the class deffenitions of the other module in the SchemaTypeRegistry singleton and that is cousing all kinds of weird stuff to happen...
has anyone encounterd this or know how to solve this?
any help would be greatly appreciated.

HI ,
While creating the web servise proxy by using of WSDL doc URL
http://soa6.com:8888/integration/services/IdentityService/configuration?WSDL
( of PortName ' IdentityConfigServicePort') . I am getting the exception like
uniqueness Constraint violation : exception "BusinessProcess.proxy.SercieErrorType" already found.
Please help me how to resolve this issue.
Thanks in advance, ....

Hi Calvin,
You may want to try the 'no data binding' option on the proxy generation. This may enable you to go ahead, with a proxy that is not trying to generate Java code.
Yo can also try to make a local copy of your WSDL and remove the duplicate type declaration. Using the analyze command from WSA CLI is a quick way to do this itterative testing, as it will not generate the code. Once you have the analyze command going thourg the WSDL, you can go back to using genProxy.
You can find the documnetation here:
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B32110_01/web.1013/b28974/wsassemble.htm#CHDBBDBF
Hope it helps,

• Convert() through JavaScript

I currently have the applet embedded into a webpage and I wish to create a bitmap of the model to store and call back up elsewhere in my web application.
When I call the function that should do the convert I get the following:
Uncaught Error: java.security.AccessControlException: access denied ("java.io.FilePermission" "TestFile.bmp" "write")
Currently I was just aiming to save the file near the applet on the server so haven't included an output directory or anything like that, the same error still appears however when I try full paths to either my local machine or relative paths elsewhere on the server etc.
The code I am using is below, am I missing any extra steps out or is there something I can do to give the applet the correct permissions to do this?
var convertOptionsClass = jApplet.getClass("com.cimmetry.core.ConvertOptions3D");
var convertOptions = convertOptionsClass.newInstance();
convertOptions.setOverwrite(true);
convertOptions.setFormat("PCRS_BMP");
convertOptions.setFileName("TestFile.bmp");
jApplet.getActiveVueBean().getController().convert(convertOptions);

Hi,
It is likely that your JVM does not have enough permissions (<JRE>\lib\security\java.policy).
Try adding permission java.security.AllPermission; in the grant block to check if it helps.
There are other alternatives that you might consider for your application:
- jApplet.getActiveVueBean().renderOntoGraphics() to render onto a graphics created from an image.
- Using our Web Servises to convert or to generate a thumbnail.
