Web-Sharing does not start up-
Hello,
I have a problem with my Web-Sharing. When I activate "Web-Sharing" in my Sharing-Preferences, the httpd (Apache webserver) doesn't start up (as can be seen in the activity monitor), thus I'm not able to connect to the webserver with Safari. I only have this issue on my iMac (10.5.2), it works perfectly on the PowerBook (10.5.2).
Does anyone have a solution without reinstalling Leopard?
Thanks a lot.

Yesterday i reinstalled the os x bundle cause of isyn was not working properly now isync is working fine but web sharing is not starting. i checked on web sharing from system preferences when i closed the window and comeback again to sharing i see web sharing everytime unchecked i did also locked but still unchecked. if i go to localhost/mysite its say: "Safari can’t open the page “http://localhost/” because it could not connect to the server “localhost”. please tell what i am doing wrong.
Thanks web sharing is working but if i type http://localhost/gmm/index.html it says"Not Found"
The requested URL /gmm/index.html was not found on this server.
but if i type http://localhost/index.html it shows apache page and says "This page is here because the site administrator has changed the configuration of this web server. Please contact the person responsible for maintaining this server with questions. The Apache Software Foundation, which wrote the web server software this site administrator is using, has nothing to do with maintaining this site and cannot help resolve configuration issues." but i can't see this page in the Sites folder. I didn't change any thing, don't know what to do. -
Turning on Web Sharing does not work and fails to load apache web server
Sort of answering my own question here but hope it will be useful to other people and save them some time.
After receiving my shiny new imac with os x lion pre-installed, I was a little dismayed and confused when I went to System Preferences -> Internet and Wireless -> Sharing and attempted to check the Web Sharing. Every time I clicked this option I was told Web Sharing was starting but would then repeatedly fail and apache failed to start.
Looking in the Console I find:

TO FIX THIS ISSUE:
It appears /usr/lib/libpq.5.dylib does not exist but /usr/lib/libpq.5.3.dylib does.
Fix by creating a symbolic link from /usr/lib/libpq.5.3.dylib to /usr/lib/libpq.5.dylib
=
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libpq.5.3.dylib /usr/lib/libpq.5.dylib
Going back to System Preferences -> Internet and Wireless -> Sharing clicking Web Sharing a couple of times turns Web Sharing on successfully!
Going to http://localhost/ displays the "It Works!" page.
HTH people as it took me a while to find the correct solution online from:
http://www.azattis.com/2011/07/os-x-lion-postgresql-84-install-problem.htmlHi there,
You seemed to have had a similar problem to what I now have and so wondered if you might be able to help me :-)
I have posted this as a new post as well but if anyone has five mins could they take a look - I would be very grateful. Here you go:
I am new to all this so I have probably made some simple errors and I hope someone can help me. I will retell what I have done as I haven't a clue what part of what I have done has mucked things up.
I am really stuck. Web sharing will not start on my iMac running Lion OS X. It did work fine and then I wanted to activate PHP so my test website contact form would work (and send the data on the form throught to my email address.
Before I did anything I turned on websharing and could view my website from another computer using: http://192.168.1.4/~stewartfergusson/
I think followed the instructions on this link to activate PHP -http://foundationphp.com/tutorials/php_leopard.php
I then did a few things in terminal and will paste below what I did:

To:
514 error_reporting = E_ALL
I then saved this file.
I then deactivated web sharing in System Preferences and since then have not been able to restart Web Sharing. I click it and it flashes orange for a second then does not start.
This was all done to activate PHP on my iMac so I can host my own site which has a PHP contact form page.
Please help I am so out of my depth I am very worried I may have changed things and I am going to forget what I did.
If you need to know anything then please ask.

The solution to your problem is most likely contained within your question.
You'll need to locate the machine on your network that has the same name as yours and change its name... or you'll need to rename your computer to something else. -
SAP Web Dispatcher does not start as windows service
Hi,
I have successfully installed and configured SAP Web Dispatcher. When I start the web dispatcher from command prompt, it works fine. I created a windows service for web dispatcher using the command
ntscmgr install sapwebdisp -b "c:\program files\sap\sapwebdisp\sapwebdisp.exe"
-p "service pf=sapwebdisp.pfl -cleanup -auto_restart"
The command successfully created sapwebdisp service. The service also starts fine, but web dispatcher does not get started.
Any ideas experts?Hi,
Ok. Few suggestions.
1. Can you review the SAP note:
552286 Troubleshooting for the SAP Web Dispatcher
2. When you said: "web dispatcher does not get started ", what error you got ? Can you be more details here ?
3. Please check the trace file dev_webdisp" that generated in the work directory. If the log entries is not abvious, increase the trace level to 2 or 3, and reproduce and re-check the trace file.
4. What is the output of the command "sapwebdisp -v"
5. How about sapwebdisp.pfl ? Are those settings correct ?
Hope this helps.

Check the value in your file, is it typing mistake or you have entered the same in your file.
<start-up mode="always"/> it should be <start-up mode="always">.

I found that the SAP/webcuif services was disabled, if it was the SP that caused it or not, I don't know, but when I enabled it everything started to work!

Mobile Hotspot in Lenovo Settings does not start sharing
I have a X1 Carbon running Win 8 64. The Mobile Hotspot used to work when I got the system for couple of months. It is very useful when staying at hotels which allow only one device per login ID. I usually update drivers on regular basis using System Update 5.02. At one point I noticed that Mobile Hotspot will not start sharing. My network adapter is set to share the connection and I also disabled the Intel Connection Utility that came with one of the WiFi adapter updates. Updated Lenovo Dependency Package and Lenovo Settings Dependency Package several times. Still, the problem persists.
Any ideas? Thanks
Just updated one more time. After Start Sharing does not go anywhere a message comes, "Failed to start Internet connection sharing. Please check if another application is hosting or check your network setting"I had an X230 with Mobile Hotspot. I found that the Intel application had to be enabled for Lenovo Hotspot to work. Hotspot woudl error out if Intel was not running. Enable the Intel Application, restart the computer and then run System Update again. After all that, restart and test again.

Today, when I tried to open web sites in Firefox from my Bookmarks, I could not. I continually received the following error message: This web site does not supply identity information.
I noticed that when I put the cursor on the box to the left of the address, that message appears. There is also '''no''' https:// before the address.
Can anyone help correct this problem? I believe sometime last week I may have fiddled with the Secutity settings in the Tools/Security option box and may have screwed up something trying not to have sites use cookies to track me?
Thanks,

[SOLVED] CUPS does not start
I don't know if this issue is a bug or if I'am doing something terribly wrong.
I've installed ArchLinux without GUI, just base, as a pure printserver a few weeks ago with only cups running and it worked.
But when I try to do exactly the same installation again on same PC (tried IPFire meanwhile) it is a mess!
First CUPS suddenly needs avahi to be running (enabled).
Without it, I get a 'core-dump' error:
systemd-coredump[###]: Process 255 (cupsd) dumped core.
systemd[1]: cups.service: main process exited, code=dumped, status=6/ABRT
Next cups does not start, does not offer shared printers and is not accessible through web interface until I start it manually.
Than everything works as supposed.
On reboot: same procedure!
Of course I edited 'cupsd.conf' on the server, added
Listen *:631
and
Allow from 192.168.XXX.XXX/24
to all <Loaction> entries.
Though I enabled cups (which in fact only enables the cups.socket) I do not get it to work.
So it seems to be a problem with this non reacting cups.socket, perhaps?
BTW: sshd.socket works.
There are no errors which I could post.
I've also reinstalled serveral times...
PS:
Menawhile I found a workaround:
# systemctl disable cups
# sudo ln -s '/usr/lib/systemd/system/cups.service' '/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/cups.service'
but I still wonder, why the intitial configuration which worked till a few days suddenly stopped working...

Using the .socket will activate cups on access. Which is much better than keeping it running all the time. Unless you want it running all the time.. Up to you.
I'm curious what your cups.service acutally looks like.. since you shouldn't be having to make a symlink manually.. That's what systemctl enable is for, as you probably know. And why not paste the socket too while you're at it.. Mine are at the bottom of this reply. I also added the cups.path so you can compare and see if anything went wrong there.. Mine works great on 3.7.9-1 kernel.
I'm not sure why you're linking cups.service to multi-user.target.wants/ but it should be WantedBy=printer.target.. Have a look below.
* enabling cups.service should create symlinks for the service unit and the path
* enabling cups.socket should only create the symlink for the socket.
╰─╼ cat cups.socket
[Unit]
Description=CUPS Printing Service Sockets
[Socket]
ListenStream=/var/run/cups/cups.sock
[Install]
WantedBy=sockets.target
╰─╼ cat cups.service
[Unit]
Description=CUPS Printing Service
[Service]
ExecStart=/usr/sbin/cupsd -f
PrivateTmp=true
[Install]
Also=cups.socket cups.path
WantedBy=printer.target
╰─╼ cat cups.path
[Unit]
Description=CUPS Printer Service Spool
[Path]
PathExistsGlob=/var/spool/cups/d*
[Install]

Web sharing/Apache not working
My web sharing doesn't seem to be working.
When I have it enabled in the Sharing panel of the System Preferences, I try to click on the link
My Computer's Website
http://myIPaddress
I get an error message, in both Safari and Firefox, saying that I cannot make a connection to the server. This is similar to other threads in this section except for the following:
- I do have a /var/log/apache2 directory
- I did a chmod 755 on the directory
- the directory is empty
- http://localhost does not work
when I look through a list of my tasks (on the Activity Monitor), I don't see anything related to apache so I'm wondering if my Web Sharing has not initiated the apache server.
I'm running 10.5.6 on a PowerBook G4.
Thanks in AdvanceYou shouldn't see any apache items in Activity Monitor. I've got web sharing on, and I see a bunch of httpd processes in Activity Monitor. Try repairing permissions on your hard drive. Also, look for some config files located in /etc/apache2/. I see the following files/folders in there on my machine:

Hi ,
We have enabled context sensitive DFF in Bank Branch Page for HZ_PARTIES DFF , We have created Flex Map so that only bank branch context fields are only displayed in the bank branch page and as we know party information DFF is shared by supplier and Customer Page so we dint want to see any Bank Branch fields or context information in those pages.
We have achieved the requirement but when open existing branches bank branch update is throwing below error message :
"The value in flexfield context reference web bean does not match with the value in the context of the Descriptive flexfield web bean BranchDescFlex. If this in not intended, please go back to correct the data or contact your Systems Administrator for assistance."
this error is thrown only when we open existing branches, if we save existing branch and open then it is not throwing any error message.
Please let us know reason behind this error message.
Thanks,
MrudualaYou are kidding? It took me about 3 minutes to scroll down on my tab to get to the triplex button!
Habe you read the error message?
