Web site coding error (FireFox & SeaMonkey only)

at site: http://trex203.narod.ru/
harmless site, click on Australia stamp sheetlet
get 404 page not found
FireFox 4.0.1 (also SeaMonkey) tries to go to:
http://trex203.narod.ru/Base\Index.htm
BUT Opera 11.11 and Explorer 9.0 works fine
http://trex203.narod.ru/Base/Index.htm
please note "\" or "/" before "Index.htm"

You get a \index page if there is a backslash in the source code. There shouldn't be backslashes in an URL. IE doesn't care about that.
I get a 404 not existent page with your above posted links (trex203<i></i>.narod<i></i>.ru), so I can't check the code.

Unable to print web site info from Firefox to HP 2600. Printer icon appears but nothing prints. Printer has worked previously with Firefox. Still works for Office documents, etc. so computer is communicating with printer, but not from Firefox.

  • I have a new printer which behaves OK except it will not print directly from a web site accessed via Firefox. We do not have this problem if accessed via another browser. Suggestions?

New printer is Brother MFCJ615W. OS is XP. Computer is quite old Dell. Printer also refuses to print pictures from .jpg files - but the fact that I can print direct from web sites accessed via another browser suggests some of the problem is with Firefox. I asked this a few days ago and got an email reply giving me a link to click on - but this only produced an error message.

I think I solved the wifi connection problem, just by switching off completely the router! sounds trivial, but in this case it worked!!!
the funny behaviour of the trackpad/cursor still persists. any suggestion???
    thanks again

  • Upon logoff from web-site this error occurs: Validation of viewstate MAC failed.

I know not who owns the spurious error, my-install, the WEB-site, or Firefox. The circumstance is the clicking of log-out. None the less documentation is included. Dennis.

Thank you for the direction, I know now where to go. Your stewardship is appreciated.
PS 1st shot at this 'board' thing, I followed with a click on solved-it & found that my vote was in error.

  • BOE R3 and VS2008 IIS Web Site Open Error Front Page Extensions Missing

    Hi,
    Can some please advise.
We have BOE R3 deployed with TomCat.
We have IIS for applications Development with VS 2008.
I have added a the HowToScheduleCustom_VB to the IIS.
When I Open the Web Site is VS 2008 I get an error Front Page Extensions Required.
Are the Front Page Estensions required.?
Or should we be using the Java Eclipse.?

Are you trying to open the website on your development box (the one that has VS 2008 installed on it) or another server?  If it's on another server, you might want to check out this thread:

  • Just Installed Firefox 6.0.2 And I'm Having Many Problems On Some Web Sites When Using Firefox:

-When I click on a picture on some sites it will go to the next page with a large view of the picture and then when I go back one page to do the same with another picture (or even the same picture) nothing happens.
-Videos don't show up or on some sites the videos do show up and work but you can't make them full screen. (YouTube works fine).
-Sometimes I have to click "Reload" to get my saved codes to show up.
-It won't let me log onto some sites unless I right click where it says "sign in" and click "open link in new tab".
-In some Forums the tool bars, smileys, etc. don't work when using Firefox or IE9 and they worked before with IE9.
-Some of my letters when viewed with IE9 are now in some kind of code (maybe html?).
I never had these problems before when using IE9 alone!
Java was updated before I installed Firefox and I installed the Adobe Flash Player 10 plugin right after installing Firefox. My OS is Windows 7 64-bit.
    Please Help. Thank You

  • I have a iMac destop 10.6.2 and use the AOL Mail web site with your Firefox Browser. It has worked great for years. I update the firefox to 6.1 and now I cannot send images using the Firefox browser. With Safari browser it works fine.

I use AOL mail - http://www.aol.com/ with my Firefox 6.1 browser. Before updating aol mail worked great with firefox for years. Now when I try to send ( upload) messages with a file or images I always get the reading " there was a technical problem and I should try again". Messages with NO files or images go through just fine. I have cleared the Firefox history, the cache and cookies and the problem remained the same. The question is does this problem have something to do with the latest update ? AOL are still only familar with the 3.6 Firefox versions. Thanks

Well I guess I was too optimistic. Since last posting I have had three hang events, one during reboot. When the login dialog box came up I clicked on it and it hung.
However I do have a new data point. I have enabled the remote login (sshd). I have discovered that when the system hangs like I described above, I can still log in via SSH from my Windows system. The shell appears normal, but when I tried a "killall Safari" command the OS crashed hard. After a hard reset, the system hung during the login process. Again I could login remotely, and that time I executed a "sudo reboot" via the remote session. That cleared the display to all-blue but did not successfully reboot.
Can anyone suggest what to try via the remote login to help diagnose what is happening? I am familiar with typical Linux architecture but the differences in Mac OS X are leaving me a bit disoriented.

Hi, Looks like port 7777 in your machine is being used by some other process. Either kill the process using port 7777 or change the port of Web Cache. To change Web Cache's port, open the file webcache.xml in Oracle_Home directory & change it to some other free port number & restart all Web Cache processes.
    Hope this helps.

  • We have a web site with a valid Certificate, however Firefox is the only browser that issues a warning that certificate is invalid.

We have a valid certificate on our web site. However Firefox issues an error that the connection is untrusted. I have verified that the certificate is good using www.digicert.com/help. The other browsers, IE7,8,9, Google Chrome, and Safari have no issue with the site. Any input would be appreciated.

Try going into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > select the account > account name , tap on SMTP (under the 'Outgoing Mail Server' heading) and then tap on your Primary Server and try entering your email account and password and see if it then works
