Web gallery content management

Hello, I'm very new to web design but I have designed a simple site that I 'd like to sell my photography prints on, but I dont know how best to do my gallery.
I'd prefer to keep things in house as I'm comfortable with Dreamweaver and other Adobe programmes, and I'd prefer to host myself as the rest of my website is hosted with 1&1- the issue is that I'd like to be able to change the images in the gallery without having to re-do the entire site- is this possible with any of the adobe products?
And would there be a way of pasting the paypal button into the gallery aswell?
I've heard php mentioned but I dont really understand what it is...

I'm not aware of too many other options than the ones already mentioned here. Also Iu2019m probably not the right person to ask as I have been part of the development team for the KMD product. So Iu2019m a bit biased on that part.
You could try to have a look at this presentation where other WCM solutions are mentioned (page 5):

However if you are looking for a WCM solution with no extra landscape infrastructure and low initial setup effort you are (in my opinion) down to 3 options (Web Page Composer, Btexxu2019s or KMDu2019s product). Firefox shows its own menus and web site content as black

For no reason, as far as I am aware as I have not changed any other components / configuration. Firefox now shows all of the content of any web site, typically I use www.bbc.co.uk as a test site as black, although if I randomly click around bits of content are exposed in there true form / colour. I cannot use Firefox as I cannot see the menu's etc.
I have uninstalled / reinstalled / moved to the latest version and started it in safe mode, cleared all of the caches, etc but it still remains black

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

Retrieve Web site content into iview without coding

Hi ,
We are currently using EP6 SP2 Patch 5 and we want to add an iview with dynamic content .
This content will be part of a web site like news or jobs posting. We know that with EP5 that should be possible with iview catching but is it possible with EP6 .
Does somebody knows something about it .

No such functionality is available in Contribute or

This one kills me as well - editing phone numbers in the keypad/dialer is a pretty basic function, I could never fathom why it didn't exist. We need to be able to place a cursor, and copy/paste part-numbers! I'm constantly trying to paste just an area code, or an extension, or insert the country code, and I should not need to create a new number in the contact directory to do it!
Currently I do the copy/paste editing in Notes, and then paste the corrected number into the dialer - pointless and inefficient, and contrary to the Apple philosophy of making the user experience easy and seamless...

SES and Web Sites

Hi there,
Is it possible for SES to crawl and index web site content ootb or do we have to write a custom adaptor to enable this type of functionality ? Our use case is that we are proposing WebCenter Spaces as our front-end application which will have SES enabled to allow us to natively crawl all the WebCenter assets like blog, wikis, users etc. But we also have an additional requirement that the customer also wants to search legacy web sites.
I could not see in the list of SES adaptors any that would facilitate crawling of a web site which is what we need to do.
If anyone has any information on this I would be grateful if you could share it with me.

Yes, of course. This is core functionality rather than a connector, hence why you wouldn't see it on a list of connectors.

Web content management tools for enterpise portal

I'm currently trying to research web content management tools for enterprise portal.
My general requirements are:
- Tool should sit on top of the portal/km and not require another landscape infrastructure, in other words we don't need another document management repository, but rather a way an easier interface to KM.
- Should be geared towards end-user management of actual content. In other words IT provides the site framework and the business user handles the rest, with approvals with business unit
- Compatible with EP 7.0
My research so far has turned up two possible solutions:
- Webpage composer delivered by SAP
- EasyWCM by btexx
Are there any other solutions that people are using which might meet these needs or alternative web content management tools that could live with the portal on the same physical hardware environment? I have searched this forum and ecohub and have not found much besides this thread which is now almost 4 years old:

Is it possible to create a Muse site that my client can edit using a content management system?

Muse is a great tool for a print based designers to be able to create websites.
However most clients want to be able to manage their content and hosting.

A good example would be this site for a holiday let business:- http://www.gurnard-pines.co.uk
The client called me and said they wanted a website design, they had a domain name and web hosting etc.
I created a design in Illustrator and asked a freelance web developer to code the site and incorporate a content management system, as the client wanted the ability to change the dates / prices / availability / attractions etc.
When I get asked to create a website, the client nearly always wants the ability to edit the content themselves to avoid the cost of implementing regular changes.

I am responsible for redoing a community college's web site.
There will ultimately be at least 1,000+ pages to the site. Right
now - everything is under one site in Dreamweaver. I am afraid that
the directory structure will get too convuluted to manage. Is there
a way to have "sub-webs" under one main site in Dreamweaver?

Just make them all different web sites located in one main
root directory.
That said, NOW is the time to rethink the entire site
management system.
Sounds like you should spend a bit of time researching a
Content Management
System to maintain the site rather than doing it by hand.

How do I get to the contacts manager on VZW web site? I last used it months ago but it doesn't work now.

A family member has an LG Revere flip phone, and when we need to add several or remove several contacts, it USED to be easier to go into the contacts management page on the VZW web site, but when I went to look tonight, it kept showing the Backup Assistant information for the wrong phone, and ONLY showing me the (nonexistent) contacts for that other phone. The Revere is the only non-smartphone on the account, so it's the only phone I have ever wanted to use the backup assistant and online contacts manager for.
Now that I think of it, tonight it was also asking me to agree to use the Backup Assistant, which I thought was strange because (as I said) we were already using it for that one phone but not the others. But when i agreed it showed me the (default -- generic Verizon) contacts for MY phone, not the one I was looking for. When I have tried several different ways to get to the other phone information, I have been seeing more and more website errors.
I guess there was a glitch somewhere... I will try again but I'm putting this out there in case someone has an answer.

I have tried clicking all around and I cannot get to the contact manager at all anymore. Now when I click to it I go to My Verizon Online Sign In - Verizon Wireless (not sure if that link works here) and the web site says:
You are seeing this page for one of the following reasons:
1) The Sync & Connect feature does not appear on your account. To add this feature click on Home above, then click on the Change Features link.
2) The Sync & Connect feature has recently been added to your account and the request is in process or pending completion. Please sign in again later.
There's no "Home" or "Change Features" visible on that page. The more I do the stranger the site has gotten. This time it kept telling me I needed to sign back in, but then it would continue acting as normal (I AM signed in).
I suppose there's a glitch.
