Hi i was wondering can photo shop be used as a mock up tool for websites ? 2. Can you slice a psd web file that can be used for making html files of a web site ? I'm asking because I'm wanting to make templates for muse or DW. For clients to use . Also to make a web site as a JPEG to showcase as portfolio
i took photography related classes so I'm teaching myself on the design from basics and use photoshop for other then editing photos
also does Photoshop touch have slice tool that can make psdx file of websites for on the go?
i noticed that DW or Muse does not have templates that's why I want to use photos for websites design

You've done a wonderful job on your site. I have no clue what rollovers or fade options are but would love to know. I just wanted to say job well done!

One of biggest learing company in my country is giving "Adobe Certificate of Achievement: Adobe Web Site Designer" for one of their programs in learning.
I never heard for this before and cant find on Adobe site.

How can I delete old web site designs from Muse CC 2014.1. (13 Aug. 2014)?

Having recently installed the latest update to Muse and been obliged to re-name my web site file I thought it only appropriate to clean up the desktop. In DW there is a message window where a site can be deleted but I do not see a similiar method in Muse.

You can look your computer for the .muse file of your site and delete it. Once you have deleted it, try to open it from Muse. You will get a pop up, which says the file/site is missing, would you like to remove it from the list. Click yes and it will be gone.

Paypal and general web site design

I can't believe it! After spending a good hour trying to figure out how to purchase a subscription using Paypal...then spending another 15 minutes trying to find the Support page, I've have had it. This is one of the most unfriendly, complicated web sites I have ever encountered...fluffy pictures and text, not much substance.

Is the adobe support web site designed by monkeys?

I've been using Adobe tools for years, so I know a few things about how obtuse they can be, but when I just wanted to cancel a free membership to Adobe.com's cloud service, I thought it would be fairly easy. The circular logic on the site is ridiculous. A software design company should be embarrassed to have such a poor support site.

Yes it is for Japan.
I have developed 2 of these mobile websites on the DoCoMo and
AU by KDDI in full screen. not for sure for other countries as
there are not enough phones that accept flash. Fun but time
consuming to make these.

Web Site Design Software?

I'd like some software recommendations for designing/creating websites.
I've got no experience but any good software that's got a decent tutorial or instruction manual would be fine. Freeway Pro looks good but it's expensive, so I'd like something more reasonably priced for now, and then move up to it a bit later, perhaps.

It depends on what kind of website you want too make. The more I use iWeb, the more I like it. However, it is limiting in what it can do (no forms, no HTML edits, and more). RapidWeaver is a good program that is like iWeb with a lot more features. I know several people that really like it.
For a more complicated type of design program there is Dreamweaver.

Responsive web site design menu issue.

Hi friends,
We designed a responsive website, http://www.sukintech.com/ ,
While it shows up really well, Menu in responsive layout is not showing up well indented,
Instead of showing submenus under main menu items it shows all the menu links in one single column and is not offering nice navigation in mobiles.
Can anybody help us to resolve this?
Please refer the image to the right.

You could add something like:
<span class='spacer'>--</span>
add them to your menu sub items and then in your css have something like (change to when your menu kicks in) :
.spacer {
display:none;
@media only screen and (max-width: 480px) { .spacer {display:inline; } }
this will then display '--whatever' on the dropdown but not on the menu itself.
Alternatively you could create a secondary menu at the bottom of the page and then use the links from that to create the menu at the top.

Don't even think of using a Frameset.
And don't think of using DW without doing a quick refresher
on HTML (and CSS
if you can take the time). DW will punish you if you do not
have this under
your belt - you will get bogged down and will fall way
behind.
When you are ready, start by using FILE | New > HTML >
and select a layout
you like (they are unadorned) but what you are looking for is
the basic
layout properties, not the decoration. Exercise your creative
skills on
these 'skeleton' pages until you have it the way you want.
Then save it as
a template (FILE | Save As Template...). Define editable
regions in this
template so that you can put unique content on each page and
save it again
(FILE | Save). Now you can spawn child pages from the
template (FILE | New
> Page from Template > template name > Create), add
page content to the
editable regions, and save. Pop them out like a Pez dispense,
and you are
done.

Submitting Web Sites

I run a small web site design business and I’m looking
for a programme that will help me to optimise my sites and submit
them to search engines. There are a number to choose from and feel
a bit like a dog in a butchers shop. I would be grateful for any
recommendations. I see that Microsoft do one (submit it) that seems
reasonably priced. Has anyone used this to good effect? Any
comments much appreciated.

My favorite recommendation? None. They are all frauds. No
program can
optimize your pages the way they should be, and submitting to
the search
engines is usually unnecessary if you can place an incoming
link to the site
on a page that has already been spidered (like your own
website, for
example).
There is SO much more to optimizing your site than simply
counting keywords
and using meta tags....
