Has anyone had experiences in having their own web site? I need good as

I don't know what instructions you may have followed, but as long as you "signed out" , then you will be fine.

Facebook says that firefox does not re cognize other web sites for tagged photos.

I have firefox and when I get on facebook and use my profile to view photos that I have been tagged in. they do not show up. all comments show, but when I click on view photo, it tells me that firefox does not recognize other web sites and wants me to approve them. this has never happened to me till I updated to this fire fox.

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.
*Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
*Check that images are enabled: Tools > Options > Content: [X] Load images automatically
*Check the exceptions in "Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions"
*Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).
If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
Make sure that you do not block third-party images, the permissions.default.images pref should be 1.

Either use the media broswer (on the left of the browser upload window unders media ==> photos ==> iPhoto)

to resize first use the export command - for details on accessing your files and on exporting see the user tip on each one

Besides Terence's questions are you trying to get those photos into iWeb to put into your web site? If so then open the Media tray at the right
and go to the Photos sections. There you can find events, albums and/or individual photos to drag into your iWeb webpage or photo page.
No need to export out of iPhoto and then bring back in to iWeb.

Firefox is no longer compatible with Walgreen photo web site - Walgreen says only Internet Explorer will work - will this be fixed?

I have used Firefox for years but recently I've had instances where Firefox will not work with some web sites. The most recent is Walgreens photo. I spent about an hour being frustrated then called Walgreens. They told me that I had to use Internet Explorer. Sure enough it worked fine. Can Firefox be made compatible with Walgreen's web site?

And it looks like you have sub-folders with images in them like these from 2011 and 2010

How do I resize a photo to attach it to someone else's web site

I want to add photo attachments to someone else's web site. my files are raw, off the camera i.e. big. I can easily resize if I email. but why can't find an easy way to downsize in iPhoto? what should I do?

The image you're viewing in iPhoto are jpeg versions of the RAW files. So all you need to do is drag it to the desktop and you will get a jpeg file of around 2-3 MBs depending on the RAW file size.
Or you can export as leonieDF has suggested while setting the compression level (Quality) and maximum pixel dimension to get the image and file size you need.

We have a web site where ALL our employees' photos are maintained.
It is accessible via HTTP with one of the parameters is the ID number of the employee.
Is it possible to customize the PA in such a way that it will display the photo in the SAPgui by accessing the photo using a URL ?
For example the following URL:
http://<server_name>:<server_port>/hr_photo/EMPLOYEE_ID.jpg

I know what you are asking for but sadly, it is NOT possible without customization. I have had 2 past clients with this issue....typically they had the employee photos on some common intranet server in some folder and simply referenced them by "(username).jpg" through some kind of custom employee directory app/web page. Since ESS services, many MSS services, HRAS services, etc. via the portal and then also SAPGui transactions rely on the ArchiveLink config for photos as standard, we had to load all the photos into ArchiveLink and do it the "right" way. It actually is VERY easy to do. The added benefit that the clients like too is that you can have SEVERAL photos (such as photos over time) for a single employee (since there is no longer the dependence on the naming of the image file such as (employee#).gif or (userid).jpg. Sooooo....sorry I don't have the answer you wanted, but hopefully my answer helped.

Aperture web site photos: too small

The photos on web sites created in Aperture are too small for me. Is there any way to upsize them?
(And besides, can I eliminate the technical details?)

Yes, you can customize the layout.
To change the size of the photo on the detail page, select the "Detail" view and change the layout parameters "Fit images within" .
To change the "details" edit the metadata preset used for the page:
Select a Metadata preset, that has only the tags that you want to display or set it to "None".

I use cs6 and am trying to get my photos to look good on a web site with a 4meg limit

have a bunch of photos I am shareing on a web site. I regulary see chrystal clear photos in the 30-50k range but by the time I convert my Nikon raw files to jepg then reduce them to the 4meg limit they look sorry what am I doing wrong?

Try again and not if you can view the report before it is sent to Apple. That might have some information to help.
Also open the Console app (in Utilities folder) and loog for log entries at the time of problem. Copy any and post here
Additionally, have yo went to Tesco's support site to see if other are having this problem.
It might be due to a problem with Yosemite interacting with the sites.

Is is possible to make a web site using Lightroom that has smaller images that you can click on that would expand the image like it works here to show a larger image?

I'm pretty well versed in Dreamweaver and XHTML, enough to know that there are 'behaviors' that can be enlisted in Dreamweaver to produce various 'effects' with menus. I wasn't sure, as I have never seen, if there is a 'behavior' that can be brought in to Dreamweaver to make images behave like this.
Okay, that I now know it's not going to be something that is a part of Lightroom's capablities, I think I'll jump over to the Dreamweaver site and explore what they have to say on this.

AppleTV is a wonderful piece of equipment. I've had one for over two years and use it regularly. Am extremely pleased with it. Photos are easy to view, either mirrored, or straight from iPhoto of PhotoStream. Other than that, I use AppleTV to watch films, play music, listen to the radio. Only problem with AppleTV is that the "smart" channels are too American for us in Europe, but for the rest, wonderful. A tip: get the Remote application (it's called Remote) for iPad to control the AppleTV; it is far easier to use than the remote control unit provided with AppleTV.
