Yes, but do a custom install to choose the apps to install to avoid any possibility of conflicts.

. I know back in the day when i first transferd my softwhere i simply just deactivated it on my computer and downloaded the trial on my newer computer
and typed in the product key.
I already tried protools and it hasnt worked 404 error

Hi, i own a key for the product Adobe CS4 Web Standard and would like to download it as I have recently reinstalled windows on my computer.
I have unfortunately lost the install dvd and require a download. However there is no link to download CS4 Web Standard to be found even in the "Downloads for Older Versions" page you've hidden deep within your website.
I would like a download link to this software as I have purchased it and require to use it for my work.

I don't understand why everything but Web Standard is listed to download.
Those files are trial versions which are always Premium versions of the product.
Likewise Design Standard is not a separate download - you download Design Premium.
I have no idea why your Web Standard serial number will not work in the Premium installer.

CS4 web standard on pc, now using macbook.

I have CS3 web standard and CS4 web standard upgrade. Both are boxed version and have serial numbers for PC. I'm now on a macbook pro. Could I get help on how to install the CS4 web standard suite on my macbook? Not sure if I can just Download CS4 for mac and use the serial number on the box. Problem is I can't even find the download for CS4 web standard. I see CS4 web premium, but not standard?

As far as I know, a Win number will not work with a Mac version

CS4 Web Standard Install Error?

Hi,
Trying to install CS4 Web Standard from the disk on a Windows 7 32 bit system. I ran setup and it immediately started "Checking System Profile" but froze toward the end of the Initialization, after confirming that it was not going to finish out I canceled and closed the window. I started over and it did the same thing. The program shows in Programs and Features like it was installed but is not in Program Files. I tried to uninstall through Programs and Features and I get an error that "Adobe has stopped working"! So I can't install it or uninstall what appears to be installed. There is nothing in Program files, there are registry entry's and files within the Common Files Folder but nothing that points to any .exe and the uninstall folder is empty. Has anyone run into this issue? I have snapshots but see no way to attach a word doc...I can email if needed.

Upgrading from CS3 Web Standard to CS4 Web Premium problems

So I got my CS4 Web Premium upgrade box in the mail yesterday. I'll be starting a big project in about a week or so and figured I'd do the install and familiarize myself with the enhancements and play with PS, as it has been a while. Anyway, I drop the first of the install disks into my XP Pro SP3 laptop and off I go. I enter the serial number for the CS4 which checks good. Hit next at which point it looks for a previous install of a CS product and does not find one. No problem, I think to myself, as there is a space to enter the previous version's serial number. Enter the serial for the previous version (CS3 Web Standard) which results in a no go in resolving the number. The tool suggests I go back and install the trial version and then deal with the issue with Adobe support. Has anyone else experienced this issue and if so could you please share your experiences and/or resolution path?

I did my homework on this one and purchased the "Upgrade from Creative Suite 3.x" offering. The CS3 works like a champ. When I attempt to do the install of CS4 I get the error message when I enter the CS3 serial number. Any thoughts, guidance or suggestions are welcomed. I'm resistant to going the trial version route for fear that I'll not get resolution in time and have my project impacted. I can probably get by with Fireworks, but PS is preferred and the driving reason for the upgrade. Thanks!

I'm having the same issue. All my applications transferred over. Lightroom is working, but when I went to edit a picture in Photoshop, I got an error message. It told me to restart, but the program still won't open after restart. It says licensing has stopped working, but what does that mean? I can't tell whether it's unsupported/blocked, or if it's a malfunction. The error code is 150:30 See screen shot.

I'm having problems trying to install CS3 Web Standard and CS4 Design Premium.
I bought CS 3 Web Standard Upgrade Version and CS4 Design Premium Upgrade, to update my old CS2 Standard.
My question is:
Can I install CS4 Upgrade If I don't have CS3 Upgrade on my computer?
I have both serial numbers with CD's and everything.
I asked this question to the person I bought it from and he's email answer was:
"Heres a quick guide for the installation:
You don't have to install Web Standard in order to install CS4.
The installation starts with inserting the first CD of CS4 upgrade.
Installation process will begin and installer will prompt for password.
Enter the CS4 password. The installer will accept it and recognize that you have upgrade , and will ask the previous (CS3) serial number.
Enter the CS3 Web Standard serial number and installer will continue normally.
that's all"
Does that makes sense to you?
I haven't open the CS4 box yet, since I want to make sure is going to work.

I don't think you can use the same package to upgrade both programs. Once, you have upgraded the package of CS 3, you no longer have the rights to it. But you may be able to use CS 4 Web to purchase CS 4 Design (but I don't know call customer service). It might be cheaper to purchase the Master Collection upgrade again call Customer Service, they always want to help someone that wants to buy an Adobe product

I spoke with Adobe support and they cannot provide a download link to CS4 and suggested that I post here - that there were people on the forum who would help someone who had the product key for Web Premium CS4 but not the discs. Can someone provide me with a link?

I only see Windows Vista Home Premium / Vista Business / Vista Enterprise / Vista Ultimate / XP listed as compatible.

Vista didn't exist when CS3 was released and as such, there is no official statement regard compatibility of CS3 with Vista Home Basic.
For CS4, we are very explicit. CS4 is not at all supported for Vista Home Basic (there are a number of networking and service support components that Microsoft leaves out of their Home Basic versions).

I purchased design standard cs4 in college. I now need it for something. I dont need to purchase cs5 right now. I have my serial number. I just need a location.

If you received the physical media then there will not be a download option available under your account. I would recommend obtaining the discs. There is no copy protection on the discs themselves so if you wanted you could make a duplicate and have that mailed to you. Alternately you can upload the contents of the disc to an FTP server and then download them locally.

Upgrading CS4 studio web standard to studio web premium

I'm sorry if my english is hard to link. I am french and I have an bad english.
Actually, I have a license for CS4 studio web standard. In a couple of days, I will want use photoshop and I have search if possible to beneficiate upgrade tarification.
On the e-store of adobe, I find two distinct page for check eligibility. First is here : http://store.adobe.com/store/en_us/popup/software/creativesuite/webpremium4/upgrade_eligib ility.html . I find this link in "upgrade" section of the product page of e-store. On this page my version is indicate eligible for an upgrade to cs4 studio web premium for 799 canadian dollards.
Second page is accessible on the link visible on the flash form to choise product version. In this page, my version isn't eligible to an upgrade. This list is identic to the list find on the adobe generic website.
What is the erroneous version and the true version of eligible list? If true version is the first, what choise is the good choise in the form? Cs4 pack to cs4 premium pack upgrade isn't indicate in the form.
If it's second version is the true version why must I find an license of CS3 or older web standard pack for beneficie of an upgrade to web premium whereas I have an cs4 web standard pack? For me, it's illogic.

Upgrade from Cs4 Web standard to CS5 - only premium available?

I have for the moment CS4 Web Standard software package from Adobe.
But I noticed that there is no upgrade to CS5 Web Standard. It seems there is only a Web Premium.
May we expect that there will be a Standard upgrade also?

That is not good news. My CS4 Web Standard is also a Student Version. I'm no longer a student.
So can I still upgrade by purchasing the Premium Upgrade.
Or is there a possibility that I can upgrade the Dreamweaver component?
Or is it also possible to install only Dreamweaver CS5 next to my CS4 package?
