Web Survey & Analysis of Survey Result in BW

Hi,
I am creating a Web Survey Application using Survey Cockpit(Tcode SURVEY) in BW.
There is option available for "Analysis of Survey results" via Analysis function in Survey Cockpit in BW.
My question is in which data provider(cube or ODS), data is getting saved in BW once the survey reply comes back to BW system. From where the survey cockpit is fetching the data for Analysis ?

I am creating Web Survey with the help of the information on help.sap.com, for which you also sent me the link.
I know about the Cube and ODS . If you read the first statement of the link doc you sent me, it says
"You evaluate the results of a survey to learn how the answers are distributed to your questions within the target group. The Web Survey visualizes the result data with the help of graphical overviews." - Where does it save the result data?
The cube 0WS_C01 & Application Library are another options of evaluating the result data.

Survey Analysis without using BIW

Hi all!
I'm new on SAP-CRM (6.0), and I'm having some problems when trying to analyse surveys result.
I have created a survey using the crm_survey_suite transaction, and it's working fine.
I have generated the URL by clicking in the "Generate URL" Button. I have tested the URL and it's working with no bugs. A page on web is displayed containing the survey, and when I click on "Save" it is processed successfully.
My doubt is: I'm not using BIW to analysis the survey results (I've checked this option on the survey attributes).
When I try to click on the "Analysis" button to analysis the survey results, a message is displayed saying that "_there are no data for analysis_".
Does anybody know how to solve this??

My sole purpose is to analyse all main tables (around 800 of them) in my database by running scripts and prompt errors, warnings, exceptions wherever table needs indexing or change of joins(eg - from cross to inner,etc. ) or check inorder to avoid table full scan for related relational tables and dependent views.There are no tools which can tell whether your table needs indexing or whether you need to change joins methods, by just looking at your database. At most, you can get an idea about the missing indexes in case of a parent-child relation. Everything else, falls under application tuning - which involves sql tracing, profiling etc.
If you cannot trace individual sessions, then you are better off monitoring the database with statspack/AWR (if licensed). Generate reports at frequent intervals, look at the resource consuming SQLs and have a discussion with dev team to fix them, whenever possible.
EM can also be used for SQL analysis.

Have any source code can produce a web traffic analysis?

I want to get the source code to produce a web traffic analysis report, for example i input a tomcat's access_log, it can analysis this log file and then output the analysis result in html file format.
I have already found a source code to parsing the IE's log file, but i can't find a source code to parse the tomcat's access_log file.
Have anybody know where can download this source code.......Thank a lot!!!!!

How to fix column / row as "header" in WAD (Web item Analysis) ?

Hi,
is there a possibility to fix a column or row as "header" in web item analysis? (like freeze panes in excel)
When scrolling down, the header should always be displayed.

We did a custom proof of concept on this back in 3.5 using CSS and/or javascript. At that time there was no BW solution for this.
Don't know if 2004s has this ability or not. Here's a link to an example that shows how it can be done using CSS:

I used this module, and sure enough, the negative colours are red. It must have been already active.
Now, to change the sign, to positive... is there a standard module, or will this require some ABAP or java coding.

It seems that you simply use the RIG module in the web template, and save.
This essentially activates it.

Web query analysis: analyze_iemon error..

Hi,
I am trying to use web query analysis tool and when i am trying produce the .csv file in cmd prompt it is giving me following error message:
"analyze_iemon" is not recognized as an internal or external cmd, operable program or batch file
the strange thig is it is creating .csv file but its empty !!!
can someone guide me in this ??

When submitting a target survey I get back an error.... I think this may be a safari problem or mountain lion problem as I used to be able to submit surveys on their survey site.

This problem occurs if I use my MacBook Pro or my iPad. I want try to win a 5000 gift card and can't win if I can't submit the survey. It lets me fill out everything and only after I hit submit I receive an error. Target says it's not their problem. I curious to know if anyone else has tried and receive back an error after hitting the submit button.

Thanks.....I'll try that the next time I get a new receipt from target. My old receipts are older than 72 hours now so I can't try Firefox with them. I appreciate the response and will certainly try this and post a reply if I was successful in submitting the target survey.

we are hosting about 25 virtual domains and i'd like to use web log analysis software that can easily differentiate between all of our virtual domains and not group them all together.
can someone recommend something that they are using that is stable, easy to install and configure and affordable?

Reset Row Selection from Web Item Analysis in WAD 7.0

Hi All,
I have a Web Item Type Analysis and I use the Row Selection (SELECT_ROWS) value multiple.
Is there a way to reset the selection via a function?
The user select some rows and start a planning function via a button. If they would like to start the function for an other selection they first have to remove the old ones and have to mark the other lines.
A function to remove all selection from the item is needed!
PS: It is getting funny if there is paging and the selection is not even visible because it is on an other page.

Scheduling a webi report and export the result in PDF on local disk

I'm working with the new SDK to schedule a report and export its result on my local c:\ hard disk drive. My code give no errors at run but I do not find the file on my root.
The Instance counter of the report increase each time, so there is a refresh.
Is something wrong in the following lines? I just follow the examples give in the documentation for scheduling.

BI Web Serivice on cross table created in WebI Rich Client has no result

Hi experts,
I'm actually trying to build some BI Web Services based on cross tables in Web Intelligence. The aim is to use them in Xcelsius for dashboarding. Unfortunately sometimes the web services do not deliver any result. I think the problem only occurs, if the underlying Web Intelligence tables have been created in the Web Intelligence rich client.
If I rebuild the tables using the InfoView Java Editor Panel of Web Intelligence, everything works properly. Of course this is a very annoying tasks.
I receive no error message or feedback from the system. Is there a way to enable that? Does anybody know that problem? Any comment and suggestions will be appreciated...

It seems you are raising an issue that we need to investigate.
BI Services were designed with the idea that there should not be any restriction with table publication (I mean, no restrictions in terms of table format or layout) nor with consumption of such BI Services (except from the consumer itself).
Could you get in touch with the technical support with your table & further details about your issue so we can investigate and deliver a fix, if this makes sense? I'd suggest you also provide these details to me directly in parallel, so I can forward this quicker to the dev team (+ get me the support reference id so I can close the loop), you can contact me offline for this.
Besides, error messages raised from the WebI Processing Server should be submitted to the consumer via the message output field (along with other metadata provided through web service output).

My common task is - get content of page in java. And parse data on this page.
When i am opening page in browser - i have a good look of all data. But when i am using java code for getting page content i have a bad content with bad chars.
How to do it right?

Federated results web part showing too broad results

I enabled enterprise search center for our site collection now the results.aspx page brings search results as expected but one weird thing is that , this page has federated results web part on the right hand side named : People Matches. This web part brings
people results from all site collections but I do not want that I only want it to filter results for xpecific site collection. I looked for option but I dont have access to Central Administration and because of that I wont be able to create New custom federated
location. Other options that might work are Fixed Keyword Query and Append text to query but I couldnt find necessary information on how to use them to limit search results from a specific Site Collection. Any help will be appreciated.

I think I have found answer for this. In the web part properties, inside Append Text To Query put : Path:<Your site collection address> , click ok. This will only display results from specific site collection
