Web Template - Personalization setting not working

Hello,
I have a question about the following scenario:
From Web Application Designer, I have an existing template that I want to add Personalization to. I set "use personalization" in the template properties, and add a context menu object with "Personalize = On". When I execute from WAD (producer portal), I can see the personalization menu option and it works fine.
When I navigate through our main consumer portal, the change does not appear, so I do not see the personalize choice in the context menu.
Web analyzer, also on the consumer portal does have Personalize showing in the context menu.
Any thoughts on what I may be missing?

Resolved ourselves via OSS.
The portal contains setting for the "query string" where the suffix "personalize=false" was set by default.
After changing the value to "true" personalize would work.
Why you would set this in the template, then have to get someone else to make a portal setting for each template is a mystery to me.

Hello All,
Can any one tell me what would be the reason that when i am executing the query separately it is showing the data but when I execute the web template it is not showing any data it shows as No applicable data. Please note I am using the same selection for the both execution.
Is there any setting in WAD for this kind of error?

Hi Nitin,
The report will show as "no applicable data found" only when the report doesn't contain the data which meet our req selections.If you have any variable selection screen before executing the web report, run with out giving any selctions.If that is a mandatory variable then make them as optional and run with out giving any selections.But , If you want selected data and the report is showing no data when you give that selections means, there is no data available for that selection combinations.So, check this once.

Web Template URL for Web Template ZTEST could not be Generated

Hello Experts,
I have designed a Template in WAD with the name ZTEST(example) when i am trying to execute it in Browser, it is throwing an error like "Web Template URL for Web Template ZTEST could not generated". I am working on 7.0 WAD
Please suggest me if there is any settings to done.

Even if i am Executing using a default Template it is throwing the same error that " Web Template URL could not be generated". Meanwhile when i am working on this issue i found that some Command URLs should be defined, but i am unable to trace where to define this URL Command like <a href=u201Dhttp://myAppServer:myPort/SAP/BW/BEx?pageno=1&request_no=8&cmd=ldoc&template_id=EXAMPLE_TEMPLATEu201C></a>

Purchase Order Goods Receipt quantity tolerance setting not working.

Team,
We are using the IS-Oil solution, ECC 6.0 REL 605 SP LEVEL 009 .
The issue that I have is as follows:
Purchase Order Goods Receipt quantity tolerance setting not working, I had set up a 10% tolerance on QTY received in the GR process via the PIR and also the Purchase Value Key in the material master and also changed the message to a warning in OMCQ for message number M0722.
I had performed a similar configuration and master data maintenance on a different NON IS-OIL client install and it worked fine.
I believe it is the IS-OIL component in the Inventory update portion of the GR process that is causing the error.
I have searched for OSS notes, however they mention that there is no solution.
Setting the PO line item as Unlimited will not be best practice for the business and will not be used.
Has anyone come across this issue? and how was it resolved, your help and guidance will be greatly appreciated.

Did you try everything here:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
Then try a different computer to help determine if yo have an IPod or computer problem.

Command Sets not working on ACS 5.1

I'm running ACS 5-1-0-44-3.
I have everything running properly on ACS 5.1. I'd like to implement command sets for selected users and groups. Under Access Policies -> Device Admin-> Authorization I have Command Sets selected. The cisco provided is DenyAllCommands. I have this command set running on all groups and every groups is still able to issue any command they wish. I've also created a "show_only" command set that I've issued one group and they are still able to do conf t or any other command.
Am I missing something?
Do you need to reference the command set name under the shell profiles?
Its my understanding that all you have to do is reference it in "Authorization" in the rules under Device Admin.
I can understand a custom command set not working because of user error but DenyAllCommands should work.
Anyone have any ideas?
I have already re-patched the ACS
Stopped and started services.
And it seems like Command Sets is the only not referenced in the logs

with my command set definition as below (as you can see its very simple):
almost every show is blocked (as suspected) but not "show run" (which is strange for me)

Web template "0ADHOC" does not exist in the master system error

Hi to all,
The Web template "0ADHOC" does not exist in the master system.
Error coming while executing query on web template.
Via TCODE RSCUTV27 I have checked the default web template 0ADHOC is already there for adhoc analysis.
Please can anyone tell me what the problem is?

According to the error message,
The template ""0ADHOC" does not exist in the BI system. It has to be transported too.
OR
Logon to R3 and check in Transaction SE38 with program "RS_TEMPLATE_MAINTAIN_XX".
You will see
                                     Template ID :
                                     Reusable Web Item ID :
                                     Version :
Give "template name" and see what is the version.
If it is "D" then please change that to version "A". and check if issue persist.

i am trying to run query from Query designer and execute in Web .i am trying to execute this in query designer. i am getting below error.
"The Web template "0ANALYZER" does not exist in the master system "
i activated all templates but not able to execute any report in web
i am able to execute same report in webaplication but not thru query desinger... do i need to setup anything.?

If following happens:
> you are launching the query with URL like:
http://<server>:<port>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fplatform_add_ons!2fcom.sap.ip.bi!2fiViews!2fcom.sap.ip.bi.bex?QUERY=<your query name>
> then you get the error message "The Web template "0ANALYZER" does not exist in the master system"
--> then you should check the settings for default templates in SPRO. Please mention that the default Web Template for query execution (BEx Web Analyzer) is called 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN.
--> also check the 0ANALYZER Web Template in SE38 / Program: RS_TEMPLATE_MAINTAIN_70 -> then check if the template is active.
When you problem is other nature you have to describe it in detail.

Template editable region not working

I am using DW2004. I have a template with a number of editable regions. One region is causing me problems. When I apply the template to a page, the BeginEditable and EndEditable tags become editable themselves. Trying to save the page causes errors about saving changes to regions that cannot be edited.
The template has this editable region:

Problem is the  can be changed. If I do a return after the "-->" the tag is no longer able to be changed. Same with the end editable tag. As soon as I go back to Design view, the code changes to become editable again.
At the moment I have around 150 screwed up pages after running a template update. Can anyone help?

They might range from interviewing a candidate for a project team role, to interviewing a Sponsor about their expectations on a project. Rarely are people given training on interviews. It is just expected that like breathing, it comes naturally. </p>
<p>Nothing could be further from the truth. Interviewing is a technique, and as such it needs to be taught. Some people are naturals and some struggle. If you doubt there is skill involved, turn on your TV and watch a professional interviewer on a current affairs type program. In this article, we attempt to cover a few of the basics that will make you a better interviewer.</p>

<h2>My Experiences</h2>
<p>Many years ago I took over a role as Marketing Manager in a financial services organisation. The week I arrived, it became evident that the company had a big hole in their investment portfolio and investors were about to loose lots of money. If I had known before, I might not have taken the job. I was to suddenly have to face the media and break the news. I had never thought much about being interviewed in the past but suddenly it became a significant concern. </p>
<p>The company called in a specialist who would prepare me over a number of days to handle interviews. In our first mock interview he had me blabbering nonsense in about a minute. We then went back to basics and he spent a week teaching me about interviewing techniques. By the end of the week I was confident to face the media and get my message across in a way that did not cause a run on the institution, and gave investors confidence that if they stayed with the organisation, within a year their losses would be recouped. In fact the majority did stay, and they did get their money back.</p>
<p>While I was on the other side of the fence (the interviewee), I also had to learn more about interviewing than I ever expected there was to know. Here is a simple thing I was taught in the first hour or so. You can see it on TV every night. Invade personal space. </p>
<p>A reporter on TV who is standing beside a person being interviewed has to stand close so they both fit on the screen. Typically this involves being within less than half a metre (about a foot) from the person. You can use this to your advantage with someone who has not had the benefit of media training to make them feel uncomfortable. </p>
<p>Try it on a colleague. Ask them an awkward question while standing up close to them. You can see them squirm. Ask the same question across the room, and they may show mild discomfort but nothing like the level when you are up close to them. Also see what happens when the reporter is trying to make the person comfortable. They move further away. In fact they may want to make them relax by putting some space between them before getting up close and personal for the killer questions.</p>

<h2>Open and Closed Interviews</h2>
<p>Interviews can be either “Open” or “Closed”. Usually interviews are a mixture of both. We will cover how each type of interview is carried out, and the pros and cons of “Open” versus “Closed”. Managing an Interview around “Open” and “Closed” questions is a key skill of the interviewer.</p>

<h2>Definition - Open and Closed Questions</h2>
<p>An open interview is one where questions are not specific. They are open ended and designed to allow the person to cover a broad range of topics. As an example</p>
<p>“Tell me about sales?” is an open question.</p>
<p>“What were sales for your territory last month?” is a closed question.</p>
<p>The first question may take half an hour to answer. The second will probably take less than a minute.</p>

<h2>Why use Open Questions</h2>
<p>It all depends on what you already know and what you need to know. If you are absolutely confident you are fully briefed on a topic, and there is only one fact you need to determine, a closed question is preferable. On the other hand, if your knowledge is sketchy, and you are not even sure what questions to ask, an open question is the way to go.</p>
<p>If your washing machine is broken and the repair man tells you the water pump is not working, you are unlikely to ask him is it the shaft is worn, impeller is split or motor burnt out? That would be a closed question and we probably don’t have the knowledge to ask it anyway (Incidentally I did make that up. I have no idea what else could break). We would ask an open question such as asking him to explain further. At that point he might explain it is the impeller broken because some coins got through the filter and jammed in the pump. You can then follow up with a more closed question about what that means to the repair and your wallet.</p>

<h2>Essence of Open Questions</h2>
<p>The essence of open interview technique is - </p>
<ul>
    <li>Question move from the general to the specific and back to the general</li>
    <li>Much is deduced from listening and probing. A simple comment may indicate an important area to be explored</li>
    <li>There are often unforeseen topics raised. Some are relevant and some may not be relevant. You need to filter and quickly dismiss the ones that are not relevant</li>
</ul>

<h2>Tips for Open Questions</h2>
<p>Here are a number of tips for asking open questions</p>

    <li>Think if the person can answer “yes” or “no”. If the answer is they can, it is not an open question</li>
</ul>
<ul>
    <li>If the person provides a wandering answer, or a ‘brain dump’ offer a summary of the question - let the interviewees confirm its accuracy. <br>
“If I understand what you are saying…” </li>
    <li>Allow ample opportunity for ‘and also’ issues to be raised at the end of the interview or afterwards. People answering open questions tend to remember facts as they go along.</li>
</ul>

<h2>Closed Interviews</h2>
<p>In using the opposite interview technique, closed interviews, you might ask </p>
<p>“For reporting of sales, I suppose the current breakdown by nation, state and category is OK, isn’t it?” </p>
<p>The question presumes and prompts a yes/no answer. It also offers a quick and easy interview, requiring minimum reflection and analysis.</p>

<h2>Why Closed Questions</h2>
<p>As mentioned, closed interviews are useful when you are trying to find out one fact. You know precisely the question to ask and know the possible answers. They are also useful in clarifying facts in an open interview. As people cover topics broadly, you might grab one point and want to understand it more clearly. You want to drill down on a particular aspect. </p>
<p>For example, you asked a question on how effective current sales reports are. The person is giving you a full briefing on all the reports, and the implications. They mention the sales summary report. You might ask a closed question about who receives the report and why they are provided with a copy.</p>
<p>Closed questions allow you to drill down on a piece of information. It is more likely that closed questions will be more spontaneous than open questions. As the open question draws out the big picture, you want to closely examine bits of the picture with closed questions.</p>

<p>The result is the same as in a trial. The person becomes defensive. They try to find a way out of any admission or commitment. A better approach is to use an open question that allows people room to manoeuvre or qualify their answer. You can tighten up the response with closed questions based around the answer.</p>
<p>“How did you first come to suspect the project may not be on track?”</p>
<p>“If we need people to assist, how would you be able to help?”</p>
<p>In both cases, an open ended question allows the person to answer without feeling threatened or ambushed. You avoid the instinctive “flight or fight”.</p>

<p>An interview is an information gathering exercise. That means that you, as the interviewer, are there to direct and listen. You know your own views. The interviewee does not necessarily need to know those views. While you are talking, you are not listening and the purpose of an interview is to find out information from the interviewee. Your role is to keep the ball rolling down the road.</p>
<p>There is an old saying that when carrying out an interview, you should “speak with your ears”. In other words, if you say something it should only be because you want to hear the answer.</p>

<h2>Making people comfortable</h2>

<p>“So tell us about killing your mother in law with a chain saw.”</p>
<p>Use the relaxing questions to start your interview. If the person is at all apprehensive at the start of an interview, a few questions to loosen them up will help later in the discussion. </p>
<p>Imaging you are being interviewed and you are feeling a little nervous or unsure about the area under discussion. You might not even know exactly why you are being interviewed. If the person starts by explaining the purpose of the interview then asks a few easily answered questions, you start to relax and will become more likely to assist the person.</p>

<h2>Follow the dots</h2>

<p>If on the other hand it is an open discussion, an agenda may be an impediment. The interviewee may want to talk about point 1 and 7 because he sees them as related. The discussion is roaming around the topic, and it might not fit into neat compartments. </p>
<p>In this case use the agenda as a checklist. It does not have to be strictly followed. It can be a list of topics you want to have covered by the end of the interview. As the interview draws to a close, go over the agenda and see if any points still need discussion. It takes some skill to treat an agenda as a set of boundaries rather than a roadmap. If you can develop those skills, the results can be excellent.</p>

Writing things down will assist in convincing people their input is of value.</p>

<h2>Answer the Question</h2>
<p>Watch a politician answer a question, and you will often find they don’t answer the question. Techniques include:</p>

    <li>“I want to make three points…” none of which are relevant to the question</li>
    <li>“Why would you ask me that?” In other words, let’s argue about whether you should ask the question rather than try and answer it.</li>

<p>If you cannot get an answer to a question, try to understand why the person is uncomfortable to provide an answer. It may just be that they forgot the original question and went off on a different track. On the other hand they may well have something they don’t want to tell you. Sometimes understanding the reason for not answering in fact answers the question.</p>

<p>As a consultant I have been amazed some times at what people have told me. Even though it might not be attributed to them in a report, people often say things to an outsider they would never say to their peers.</p>
<p>I remember one project review where the project manager was scathing in his remarks about the steering committee. He had never expressed his thoughts to them but told me. On investigation I had to agree with his comments and put it in the report. One of the steering committee members came up to me afterwards and asked me why the project manager never expressed his concerns to the committee?</p>
<p> Sometimes it is useful to use an outside party for interviews as they are usually seen as coming to the situation without a bias. If not independent, they are usually viewed as not coming to support any entrenched point of view. In fact, from a consultant credibility point of view, it does you no good to go into an organisation to reinforce a particular person’s case if you do not believe it to be valid. I usually tell people in that situation that I do investigation, not lobbying. </p>
<p>Several years ago I did a PIR for a company and managed to upset the executive management team by pointing out their lack of support and the failures that followed. Although I had done considerable work for the organisation I was not invited back to do any more work for a couple of years. When I was invited back, I found most of the people I had been critical of had moved on. I was invited back because the person who now wanted work done was impressed with my fairness and impartiality from years before. He had remembered me and now needed the same sort of review done without someone pushing a particular point of view. What goes around comes around.</p>

Web Cam applet is not working in great consistency

Hi... My video capturing applet is not working very well.
The image stream is displayed on the web page in JPEG format with 0.5 quality. However, it crashes after a while and the it does not release the vfw resource.
I have to restart my machine in order to execute it again.
Can anyone please help?

Web Gallery, previous/ next not working consistently

First time I've seen this: next and previously are not working good. Some work in the gallery, some don't.
Reboot Firefox, some different ones work, some dont. It's worrisome. I'm sending this to people- any tips?

.Mac email can be set up two different ways on the iPhone. For "Send to Web Gallery" button to appear when clicking on the action button while viewing a photo, you must have your .Mac email set up as IMAP. This is the default setup for a .Mac email account.
If you take the time to manually set up your .Mac email as POP, then you will not have the "Send to Web Gallery" option and you will be unable to successfully email into your web gallery even if all else is set up correctly.
To check to see how you have .Mac email set up on your iPhone, go to the Home Screen, tap Settings, tap Mail, tap your .Mac account name, tap Advanced, move down on the page, and make sure you see "IMAP Path Prefix" setting (it can be blank and does not need to be changed). If the "IMAP Path Prefix" is there, then you do indeed have your .Mac email set up as IMAP on your iPhone.
If you do have it set up as a POP account, you can delete that mail account by selecting the red Delete Account button when viewing your email account as listed in Settings.
To add your .Mac email account as an IMAP account, from the Home Screen, tap Settings, tap Mail, tap Add Account..., tap .Mac, and fill out the fields with your information, tap Save and it will verify access to your .Mac email account.

Firefox 5 some web sites fonts are not work.

I try to visit this sinhala language web site using Firefox 5 latest version. Then that site not properly display (Fonts are not work). Then i again downloaded that web site fonts and install them. But again that web site not properly display.
If i visit that web site using "Google Chrome" or "IE" i can view that web site properly. This problem only happen for Firefox 5. Older version Firefox 4 work properly with this site.

You can set the pref gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled to false on the about:config page to disable downloadable fonts and make Firefox use a locally installed font.
To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />
You can use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a pref more easily.

REST Web Service Output Parameter not working in POST Handler

I've created a RESTful Web Service in Oracle Apex, using a POST method as "handler". I've setup 11 input parameters which all work fine, it is my one output parameter that does not return successfully.
Here is detail on the Output Paramter

Access Method: OUT
Source Type: Response
Parameter Type: String
The actual source is a call to a pl/sql package that returns a value that I set :returns equal to (eg :returns := v_result). I've tried this with Source Type Header and still the same result, 'no output'.
I see APEX is calling wwv_flow_api.create_restful_param to generate the parameters (for importing), is there any documentation on this procedure?
How can I get this output parameter to return something in the response?
The request accepts a Json payload.

Exchange Office Web Apps Preview Does not work in OWA (web)

I have setup Exchange 2013, Lync 2013, SharePoint 2013, IIS as a Reverse Proxy Server, an Office Web Apps Server, etc, etc. Everything is setup to use SSl (https) and everything works great EXCEPT... Office Web Apps... and ONLY via Exchange and OWA (exchange
browser-based access).
I can login via the intranet or Internet for everything (SharePoint, Outlook, and Lync) and Office Web apps functionality works flawlessly for all... except for Exchange and OWA.
If I login in to a web-based Exchange seeion, everything works right and I can see the various attachments.
For all other scenarios, Office Web Apps works (SharePoint, Outlook, Lync, etc), but in owa (web version of Outlook) I see that Office Web Apps is triggered (I see the Office Web Apps text and the dots that indicate something is loading)... However, it just
crashes and eventually times out (see image):
If I look in the error logs for the Web Apps Server I see this:
Essentially, it looks like that owa uses a distinctly different path to load the attachments into the Web Apps Server such that the file is not found!
What is happening? Why does Exchange OWA (web version of Outlook) somehow use a different path that fails to locate attachments in Office Web Apps, but Lync, Outlook, and SharePoint (both in Intranet and Internet) work perfectly?
This is VERY frustrating. Can anyone help?

Clearly, the reverse proxy is working, the certificates are working, OAuth is working, etc. It seems there must be some variable/path that is only defined in Exchange for OWA that uses a different path for Office Web App attachments and that path is WRONG!

IPhone 6 Battery Usage setting not working.

When I go to my setting and check my Battery Usage setting it states: "Battery information will be available after using iPhone for a few minutes". I've been using it for hours and I get the same response when I go to the setting. I've turned off my phone multiple times to see if that would resolve it, but it hasn't. Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?

I have the same problem. iPhone 5, iOS8.0.2, used for a few days - still no usage statistics, only "Battery information will be available after using iPhone for a few minutes".
I tried restore iPhone (DFU) without restoring backup from iCloud/iTunes, resets, hard-resets, erase all settings, drain battery to 0% and charge to 100% overnight etc. - nothing helps.
I wrote to the Apple about this problem.
