Web traffic report for one computer?

We have a computer that is used by multiple people. The computer gets an IP via DHCP (so it can change.) Management wants a report of traffic for this computer. Is there some way to do this since we don't know what previous IPs it's had? Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion, we'll do that going forward. When searching reports by User, when I put in the IP Address it only seems to give me results that don't have a matching user, instead of all results by IP with the users included. Any way to filter by IP and user?

  • Project Report for One Project Using Excel

    Hi,
Is is possible to create a report for one project using excel?
I want to create a pdp with an Excel Viewer web part and have the following tabs with data specific to the one project.
    1. Cover
    2. Issues
    3. Risks
    4. Deliverables
I tried passing the ProjUid to an Excel doc via the Excel Query Filter Web Part and was able to filter the Issues lists only but don't know if its possible to filter out the other tabs by using the same paramater. Is this possible?
I have not looked at Odata but was wondering if it was possible to pass a paramater to the odata query and still have the spreadsheet work in a web view in SharePoint?

    Hi,
I'd say that as far as you promote the Proj UID field as a filter in all sheets of your Excel workbook, using the Excel
Query Filter Web Part should work fine. But testing it should be easy, since you already did half of the work.

  • How to Make installer for one Computer ?

    Hello All,
I want to make application installer only for one computer, like single license copy how it is possible in LabWindows/CVI ?
Is there any LabWindows build-in option or how it will possible ?
    Regards
    Umer
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I don't think there is a bult-in capability to create an installer that will run on a single PC, but you can incorporate in your application instructions on some hardware item of the target system and create your own licensing algorithm on them.
This subject has already been discussed in this forum: you can look at this thread and this other one.
In the last page, I mention a sample of mine which is available on the Community: I have updated it to retrieve the disk serial number also, as it can be useful to get a unique sign for a specific PC; the sample uses WMI to get system infos: you can find the modified version attached to this message. You need full CVI version to run the sample.
Proud to use LW/CVI from 3.1 on.

  • My account is good for one computer. Or is it?

My iTunes setup says that my account is good for one computer. Would that include using the iPod (account) connected and synced to my PC? Do I need to similarily setup the same or different account on my iPod? Please explain. (Note: My iPod already syncs with the CD I added to iTunes in my PC.)
How many pieces of gear can used in this fashion (ie: iPod, iPad, iPhone, and computer), I'm guessing management on one computer plus another piece of hardware like iPod . . . or am I wrong?
I guess to avoid confusion . . . is one account for both sufficient and agreeable to Apple?
Any advice or help will be appreciated.
    TIA

Well, I'm getting on since I hit Trafalger when I was 18 (old enough to hit the pubs there but not here). I hung out at the Friend At Hand and drank Watneys (and anything else). Made it to Liverpool, Torquay, and in between. Some of my best memories. Almost had a ideal job at BOAC, but immigration quotas from the far east nixed that.   Still listen to Radio Caroline on this side of the Atlantic.
Got my connection and account to iTunes working on both the PC and iPod now. Haven't located iTunes radio though on the iPod. Do you know if it is even possible with the older 4.2 version?
    Thanks, again.

  • VPN - why four IP's for one computer?

So today I Apple support was gracious enough to help get VPN services on my Mac Server working properly, or so we thought. Testing it on the LAN worked. Connecting VPN from the server's WAN IP worked too from within the office LAN. Now I'm home and trying to connect with the same settings and it won't work. I log on to the server with ARD so I can watch the VPN service log and can see that it is trying to establish a connection...actually it's trying to establish five connections:

    Quite simply - you're misinterpreting what's happening.
It seems clear that the client is attempting to connect 21:11:45 and the VPN server allocates the IP address 192.168.50.207 for this connection.
However, the client doesn't get this response and thinks the connection failed, so it attempts another connection at 21:11:47. For this connection the server allocates the address 192.168.50.208, but that also doesn't get back to the client (or the client rejects it), so it tries again at 21:11:51. This connection also fails and the client tries again at 21:11:59, after which it gives up and doesn't bother trying any more.
The various 'hangup's you see are actually timeouts - if you notice they're all exactly 20 seconds after the corresponding connection was attempted, so this is just the server's way of cleaning up the dead connections.
Your focus needs to be on why the client isn't getting the connection responses. This could be a firewall issue blocking the relevant traffic, or it might be a conflicting address in the client's network (you don't use 192.168.50.x at home, do you?)
A tcpdump on the client system would be my next step - see whether those responses are getting to the client or not.

  • HT1495 Multiple logons for one computer and multiple devices trying to use one itunes account.

I have one computer with a logon for Kids and one for Adults.  There is a touch and nano that was added to a single itunes account tied to my email on the adult logon and the shuffle that is on the kids account.  I can't seem to get the multiple devices access to all the songs with out erase and re-sync error message when not using the right device on the assigned logon to the computer - why and can we change this?

It sounds like each Windows user has it's own iTunesLibrary.itl file.  If that is the case, then you are correct, the correct device must be connected when logged in with the correct login.
If all Windows logins share an iTunesLibrary.itl file... then it does not matter which login is used or which device is connected.

  • Multiple Ipod users for one computer

How do you set up Itunes for 2 Ipods running through one computer/Itunes?
    Thanks!

If both iPods have all the same music in their iTunes libraries (or if they're using the exact same iTunes Library) and both have the option selected to Sync All Selected Songs ... then they'll both have everything on them.
If you go by the two user accounts method, make sure the iPod is set to sync only selected songs/videos/etc, and then that ONLY the songs, etc, they want are selected.
If you use the playlists method, make sure that each iPod is set up to sync only the playlists they want. Personally, I'm using the playlist method for my two iPods. The other iPod's in the house use yet another method that is much more complicated and involves creating multiple iTunes libraries for the same account.
To answer the question of the "Privaledges" question, I think you were trying to go by the two accounts method. If so, the account installing iTunes has to have Administration rights. But once it's installed once, you can RUN it from multiple accounts without installing it again. Just browse to the iTunes.exe file and run it in the other account. When it runs, iTunes will probably load with an empty Library.
This happens because iTunes just created a new library file in the new account's "My Music\iTunes\" folder. That's a good thing. Then if you go to iTunes Preferences and change the location of the iTunes library to where all the music is, and let iTunes manage your music folders, it will add everything to the new library file.
Now, both accounts have the exact same files added to their independent Libraries. From here, they can Un-click or delete the songs they don't want in their library--just make sure to let the users/kids know NOT to Click "Move to the Recycle Bin". That will delete the file so that neither account can access it. When they delete files the other user may want, they'll have to select "Keep File(s)".
But then, they should have their own private music libraries WITHOUT actually having the music stored in two separate locations, possibly making lots of duplicates and wasting hard drive space. I'm pretty sure in both Windows XP and Windows Vista you can change the permissions of user accounts to where they CAN'T delete files, and that may actually be something you'll want to try if you think they'll just end up deleting each other's music permanently.

  • Can you have two iPods for one computer?

I know nothing about iPods so please excuse me for this question that probably has an obvious answer. My sister has an iPod nano that she has been using with our computer for a long time. I just bought an iPod and was trying to set it up. So can I use her i tunes to put music on my ipod or how does it work? I am aware you are not supposed to steal music though. So what am I supposed to do?

Yes, you can use 2 iPod with 1 computer quite easily.

  • Office Web Apps - how to disable office web apps features for one web application

ENV: Sharepoint 2010 farm with office web apps + fast search
I have the requirement for one web application to open all its documents in client applications - I can enable feature "OpenInClient". This web application uses team site template and other web application also uses team site template. ( feature
stapling ruled out)  Now I can run powershell cmdlet to enable this feature on all the currently existing site collections. But the requirement is to enable this feature for all the future site collections. This web applications has 60 k site collections
and atleast more than 10 site collections get created each day and they dont like the option to run a powershell script each day to activate this solution.
Is there any other way to by default activate new site collections on this WA to open in client applications by default (can we disable this office webapps features only on one web app)?

I have learnt from this forum that it is not possible to turn off Office web apps on single web application. The line of control lies at farm level and then at site collection.

  • More than one iTunes for one computer.

I have a brother and a sister, and we all have iPods, but only one computer. We have a windows XP so, several different accounts. I already have iTunes set up, but my brother and sister don't. Is it possible to have 3 separate iTunes for each of us? If so, how? And if not, what can I do?
    Windows XP   Windows XP Pro

There are basically two ways of using multiple iPods on a computer and these involve:
    a) Sharing a single iTunes library and or user account.
    b) Creating multiple user accounts and having separate libraries.
Sharing a Library and/or User Account
If you want to share the one library, you can set either or all of the iPods so that they only get updated with only certain playlists (you can update from more than one if you wish):
Loading songs onto iPod automatically - Windows
Choosing the update option "Sync Music - Selected playlists" allows you to create a playlist specifically for the iPod and drag the tracks you want into it. If you tire of the list and want to change it, you just add or remove the songs you don't want. The ones you take out out remain in the library to be used some other time if you choose. You can read more about playlists at these links:
iTunes: Creating playlists of your favorite songs
How to create a Smart Playlist with iTunes
Or you can choose to update any or all of the iPods manually and just drag whatever content you want to them: Managing content manually on iPod
Loading the iPod shuffle differs slightly but it can still be used with the others, for details have a look at this page:
Loading songs onto iPod shuffle - Windows
It's also possible to have multiple libraries in a single account. To create or access a second (or more) library, hold down the Option key (or Shift key in Windows) when launching iTunes 7. In the resulting dialogue you will get the option to create a new library or navigate to the other Library.
Note: You can only have one Library open at a time and iTunes will default to the last library opened if you don't use the keyboard command to choose one. This can prove tricky when using multiple iPods, if you don't use the keyboard command you can risk syncing to the wrong library:
    Using multiple iTunes libraries -Windows
    Separate User Accounts
Another option is to create a separate User account for each person on your PC or Mac (which it appears you have already done). Different accounts by definition would give you completely separate libraries. Each account utilises the same iTunes program located in the Program Files folder but has it's own iTunes folder, Library and iTunes Music folder and you load it with CDs etc just as you did with your original one. The iPod can be set to update however the owner chooses, sync all, manual or sync specific playlists
