WebAuth not redirecting to webpage

Hi there.
I have a Webauth setup in my switches which is working fine. I'm trying to redirect authenticated users to a specific pages, but it is not working. I'm running c2960-lanbasek9-mz.122-55.SE3.bin and I configured the following lines:
ip auth-proxy proxy http success redirect http://www.site.com
ip admission proxy http success redirect http://www.site.com
Are there any issues related to this?

Did you try to disable http secure server on this version? When you disabled it did it fix your issue? Let me know if that works I know there is a bug that suggests this workaround but I could not find it on the bug toolkit just yet.
Thanks,
Tarik

  • What does it mean when you prevent someone from redirecting a webpage?

I was surfing a traffic exchange site when I received a note from Firefox that it had prevented someone from redirecting the webpage that I was viewing. I would like to understand the significance of this action. I feel as if I have been protected from something, but I don't know what. Can you inform me?

A red check means the text wasn't sent (maybe the number has been changed, they have texts blocked, there was a network problem).

  • Muse not redirecting to tablet site?

Muse is not redirecting to my tablet site on tablets (tried both iPad and Galaxy tabs). http://walkerdesigntablet.businesscatalyst.com should lead to my tablet site, not my desktop site. It previews correctly within Muse with the tablet version....ideas for what's wrong?

    Hi Ed,
We have seen this issue crop up from you and others, and we are always doing our best to get the problems resolved as quickly as we can. We on the Muse team, and at Adobe as a whole, take a lot of pride in our product, and as such spend a lot of time making sure to identify issues people are having and work to fix the problems as we identify solutions. We understand that your time is valuable, and that issues that prevent you from doing what you need to do with our tools can be costly.
Most of the time, when we identify issues people are having, we work hard to spend our time, rather than yours, investigating the problem, coming up with a fix, and, if needed, coming up with a workaround solution to get you back up and working as quickly as possible. We want to get out of your way as much as possible and let you use the tools we provide as best you can to be creative and to do your work.
Occasionally, however, there are times when we are unable to figure out an issue on our own, and have to come back and ask questions, get clarification, and have you help us narrow things down a bit so we can get the issue resolved. More often than not, this is because we aren't able to reproduce the issue you are seeing on our own, and need a bit more info about how you are hitting it so we can see the same thing, and make sure we are addressing your problem. When we do come back with questions or requests for clarifications, we usually do our best to minimize the amount of time you need to spend helping us, while making sure your issue can be resolved as quickly as possible. For example, the page I linked to above is a script I wrote that will gather the information used by our systems so that I can reproduce the problem on my own, and come up with a diagnosis and solution. The hope here is that the only effort needed would be simply to visit the page and copy/paste the contents here so I can take a look.
As for the confusion regarding the BC vs non-BC difference in site version served, I posted in another thread recently, though that isn't something you'd have necessarily seen, so I'll summarize it here.
When determining which site to serve up to your visitors, we have different logic between Business Catalyst and a non-Business Catalyst site. On BC, we take advantage of the fact that we have the ability to run code on the server, and that BC already had some of this functionality, to do the processing and redirection behind the scenes. When your visitor sends the request for the webpage, along with that, they send along information about the browser and device they are using to view this information. The information isn't a lot of information, but it is often enough to be able to identify a general type of device being used, and with that information, we look that up in a large database to determine what type of site fits best for that device. We then will redirect the visitor to the appropriate page, if necessary, so they get the right viewing experience.
When using a non-BC server, however, we do not know what sort of server or resources you have, so we don't run server side code, nor hook into any database. This makes it nearly impossible to do the same thing, so we take a different strategy for deciding what the best viewing experience is so instead, we ask the browser what the dimensions and pixel density are for the monitor or device you are viewing on. From there, we do our best to calculate what type of device you are likely on, using some basic tiers, and redirect to the appropriate layout if necessary.
Each of these approaches has pros and cons, and we do our best to tweak both of these methods to ensure your site visitors get the best experience they can. But, because we use different methods for determining which site to serve, it does mean that some devices, especially those on the edges of each of the device categories, can change behavior between these two approaches. This is where the difference is coming from.
The link listed in my previous post is meant to provide us enough information about the device being used so that both approaches can be optimized to get the right experience, which is why I requested the information from it. In this particular case, sometimes it can be a balancing act in making sure that the tweaking for your device doesn't break others, but the more information we have on this matter, often times the more accurate we can be. We have a number of devices we test Muse sites on (I have about a dozen sitting on the desk behind me at the moment, and there are more in other peoples' offices), but sadly there are just too many devices in the world for us to have them all, so getting more information about things when we are serving the wrong page is important.
I'm sorry you are having problems, and hopefully you can understand our request for a bit more info to help us come to a solution.

  • Session Time out - Relogin not redirecting

    Hi,
If I am in a particular page of an application, and session times out, I get Page Expired window. On click of that, it takes me to login page. After I relogin, it is NOT redirecting me to the page where the time out happened. It just redirects to the Application Main page. Is there a way to let ADF redirect to the page where time out happened?
    Thanks,

    Hi Aluvala,
Based on the current description, I understand that you would like to change the error message to custom message. The issue relates to Render Extension. Currently, the behavior which changes the error message to custom message is not supported. Therefore,
I would suggest you submitting a wish at
https://connect.microsoft.com/sql. Connect site is a connection point between you and Microsoft, and ultimately the larger community. Your feedback enables Microsoft to make software and services the best that they can be, and you can learn about and contribute
    to exciting projects.
If you still want to make custom render message, you can try to create custom render extension while it is not easy.
    Hope this helps.

  • Safari will not open any webpages

Safari will not open any webpages. I can hit home page and nothing happens.
I click on a bookmarked page nothing happens.

    Hello,
What version of Safari are you using?
If 3.0.4, check the contents of these folders:
    /Users/YourUsername/Library/Input Managers/
    /Users/YourUsername/Library/Application Support/
    /Library/Input Managers/
    /Library/Application Support/
If there is anything in them, drag the contents onto your Desktop and retry.

  • My iPad is connected to wifi, but every several minutes later,I just can not connect to webpage, then I have to shut off iPad and turn it on again, and several minutes later the same thing happens again, how can I deal with this?

Why I can not go to webpage even wifi is on?it happens every 6 minutes.......

Is it the same webpage everytime?  And is it exactly 6 minutes?
If you have control over the modem and wifi router, i.e. your personal router in your home, I would powercycle your modem and router and see what happens.
    1.  unplug the wifi router's power cord
    2. unplug the modem's power cord
    3. wait 10 - 15 seconds (I usually wait about a minute)
    4. plug the modem back in and wait for it to stabilize
    5. plug the router back in and wait for it to stabilize
    6. try to to to the web page again.
And while I am waiting for my modem to start back up and get itself connected to the internet I usually restart my iPad/iPhone.  Hold the Home button and the Power button down at the same time, wait for the apple logo to appear and then wait for the device to to a restart.  Very much like rebooting your PC.

  • Brand new iMAC, Mountain Lion installed, dashboard widgets will not download. Webpage times out. Any suggestions?

Just purchased a brand new iMAC and sucessfully performed download and install of Mountain Lion (free upgrade). Discovered that dashboard widgets will not download as webpage times_out in both Safari and Firefox. Already set security to allow downloads from 'anywhere' but with no change. Downloads from anywhere else works fine, just widgets won't work, and I've been trying for several days now. Any suggestions? (firewall is off).

  • ABAP webdynpro app not redirecting using Outbound plug in portal

    Scenario-
There is one Abap webdynpro application APP1 calling another abap webdynpro component Comp 2 through outbound plug on a button click. This is working fine if service is tested independantly.
SAP ECC system is having a webispatcher and the application should be accessed using webdipatcher only i.e. ECC should not be called directly.
SSL has been configured b/w ECC and webdipatcher.
The Abap webdynpro application APP1 is integrated into portal using Abap webdynpro iview.
Setting in Portal system are reffering to Webdipatcher for ECC system instead of ECC system directly.
    Issue-
App1 is loading successfully into portal and all the data is coming properly but when trying to navigate to second component on button click it is not navigating. iview is getting refreshed but not redirecting to required component and is still on the same application.
Please suggest the reasons and solutions if anyone has clue about it.

  • When atemping to use wifi hotspots FireFox does not redirect to login page.

when trying to use a hot spot like in a hotel or airport (tmoble for one) will not redirect to login page. Nor can it find the page when I enter the DNS name. If I enter the IP address of the long in page then it can find it but not the subsequent pages that it calls by DNS.

I am a Hotspot ISP and I am having this issue with Firefox on Linux devices. We use Colubris MSC-3300 as access controllers tied to a RADIUS server. Have tested all other browsers on Windows and Linux and they seem to work correctly, problem seems to be tied to Firefox on Linux (testing with Ubuntu 11.04). When I open Firefox the redirect to captive portal page works correcty. I enter my username and password and when it tries to send this information back to the controller I get a "connection was interrupted" error. I have gone into Preferences and turned everything off and/or on and still can't get this device to log in.

  • FF is NOT redirecting

FF is not properly executing a refresh meta tag. The website is http://aionline.edu/,. and click on login. It will give you a blank page and if you look in the code, it says:
    meta HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="0; url=/portal/server.pt?"
But is is not redirected to this page. This problem exists on different computers with FF version 3.6.8.

    http://aionline.edu/

There was an old thread that hacked how to turn it off:
However it looks like it is expected if the entry is new, as when I tried it the cached entry auto-completed, but when I entered a new url the www was prep pended.
The error on the page also says:
"This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies."
    I filed a bug for this: [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1045160]

You can check for problems with preferences and try to rename or delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js files and a possible user.js file to reset all prefs to the default values.

If you reset Firefox then a new profile is created and some of your data (bookmarks, passwords, cookies, form data) is automatically imported and your current profile will be moved to the desktop (Old Firefox Data).
You can recover more data from the old profile (be cautious with doing that).
