WebCache 9.0.3 error (win32)

When Nessus ( about it http://www.securityfocus.com/infocus/1741) scans a computer with iAS903/WebCache, that service webcached.exe falls here with such mistake:
Application popup: webcached.exe - Application Error : The instruction at "0x77fcc2c0" referenced memory at "0x53555353". The memory could not be "written".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
How does it correct ?

Looks like something has happened and caused Web Cache to crash. You may want to install Dr. Watson so that you can get more info.
I'd suggest that you get the latest patch for Web Cache 9.0.3 (the latest is Web Cache 9.0.3.1 bp1)

ActiveX automation server return "Error Win32"

Has anybody meet this problem: I click on the' ActiveX automation server'
in the CVI project window 'Tools' menu (CVI5.01) and then it starts to
scan all the registered components but after a while it returns an error
message like "Error Win32" so I can't work with the ActiveX components,
I tryed uninstall and reinstall the CVI and the problem remains the same.

Whether you are using database logging or not, you should not get an error like that when database options are loaded. From the kb's you specified it sounds like there was an issue with a COM/ActiveX server not getting registered in the past. Especially on machines in which TestStand was installed from a deployment rather than the main installer. Have you tried running the version switcher like the KB suggested? Did it succeed or give an error? If it gave an error what was the error? Could you perhaps try a fresh install of TestStand on a clean machine?

i make my vi file, and build an I create an executable ( build it on win 7 . 64 bits) ( on my cumputer it work fine)
i put the three files on another computer ( win xp )

The Run-Time Engine is a program that must be installed on any machines you wish to run the executable on. You can either bundle it in when you build an installer (instead of a standalone exe). Or just download the appropriate version from National Instruments and install it on your Windows XP machine. What version of LabVIEW do you have?

Itunes download error win32

each time I try to download itunes, it always comes back saying iTunesSetup[1].exe is not a valid Win32 application. Does anyone know how to bypass this problem so I can download iTunes successfully?

Hi Friend,
The error; win32 application occur due to the operating system level but not because of sap programs. To resolve the issue, you may need to rename the folder "My documents" in the location C:\documents&settings\My documents folder and disable the AntiVirus that is installed on your system and try to do the oracle client installation with setup.exe file.
Please update me with the issue, I will provide you with suitable workaround.

Error on trying to export

Hi
I have LR 2.5 64Bit on Win7 64Bit.
When trying to export pictures I get the following error:
Internal Error Win32 API error 3 (... path not found... ) while calling ShellExecuteExW from AgWorkspace.shellExecute
Win32 API ???? I am using OS as well as LR as 64Bit.
What's wrong here and how can I get Export working?

Solved the issue
I found that the After Export action in the Export / Post-Processing dialog was 'empty' instead of any selection. After I selected 'Do nothing' everything worked fine. I have absolutely no clue how this drop down could be or get empty. There is no way to get it empty again to simulate the error.

Data Collection Set 'Server Activity' Failure Waiting on a kernel object(s) failed. Inner Error ------------------ The handle is invalid.

All of the system data collection sets have been running for 6+ months without any issues, couple of weeks ago the 'Server Activity' collection set failed to restart after a planned maintenance server reboot.
When attempting to manually start the collection set it indicates "success", but after refreshing the collection set it showing as stopped. Viewing the logs for the Data Collection (Server Activity) I am getting the message:
Waiting on a kernel object(s) failed. Inner Error ------------------>
The handle is invalid.
After some research into this really unhelpful message I came across one posting where this error has been found to occur in SP1. We are running SP2 which include the fix so this shouldn't be the problem (ref http://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/585210/sql-server-2008-data-collection-execmasterpackage-timeout).
To see more detail on the root cause of the error I enabled the additional tracing for data collection (http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sqlagent/archive/2011/07/13/enabling-additional-tracing-for-data-collector.aspx). This provided an exception stack which indicated
that the issue was thrown to what looks like an existing file, referring to a location (e:\) which doesn't exist in our system.

Thanks for the pointer Eileen, problem solved.
Can't believe I missed it, but after reading the last section on system hangs it occurred to me that I hadn't checked that all dcexec.exe processes were killed when I disable the data collection service.
For anyone else experiencing this issue I identified the dcexec.exe processes using the following in cmd line:
TASKLIST /SVC /FI "IMAGENAME EQ DCEXEC.EXE"
On the default setup of the data collection there should be two dcexec.exe processes constantly running, one for "Server Activity" and another for "Query Statistics". On our server there were five running with the data collection disabled.
After killing all of the processes and restarting the data collection problem solved!!
Still need to understand why the processes didn't shut down cleanly when the server was restarted, but at least I know where to look now.

Why I can use WebCache in 80 port

IF I start WebCache by root privilegy, server start, but admin interface and invalidator don't work.
in webcache.xml I set <IDENTITY USERID="oracle" GROUPID="root"/>.
If start by user oracle port 80 don't bind.

What is going on With Windows 7 and all my xp hardware?

Hi, I dont normally ask fro help in forums, as a computor silver surfer user since windows 95, I generally manage to get a resolution by sheer home learning, But Im livid with this new computor i just bought, which i can not get any of my xp components to run or be recognised by this awful windows 7, Im near to taking out the Hard Drive Out and buying a new one, and putting Xp on it.
First off, sorry if bit long winded, but there is two major issues, one non Sound card related, one creative labs one is.
First, can someone tell me, why , when i connected my vertabim 320gig usb external drive, which was connected to my win xp for a year. Windows 7 kept asking me in middle of email,s middle of games, what wanted to do with it's? In the end, i got a message saying do u want to use this drive for nero backup, well, as this is a back up drive, i said yes, imagine my horror, when i found it had changed its name to "Volume drive E;" not F: even worse, all 60 gig of movies built up over 5 years had been completely wiped off? There is nothing left in it now, just a folder calling itself backup. but everything else has been erased. is there a chance its been saved somewhere else in win7?
Second problem, I use Soundbaster audigy cards for a very long time, which has a graphic equalizer in it, which i must have, to enable certain programs like ASIO that need to fine tuned using a graphic equalizer, my last one i bought 3 months ago, after old one packed up, I took it out of the xp computor, and reactivated the onboard xp one, so i can still use it, But once it was put in this new win7 grr computor, my problems started,as soon i restarted after installation at start up i got a runtime error win32 blah blah, which has still not gone away,god knows where that came from. After 3 attempts at instaling the card from the disc all was ok with graphic equalizer too, however next day, Wind 7 decided, I couldnt have it, and everytime i started it to edit a wave with it, it kept telling me no device supporting it !! THEN IT GOT WORSE, it downloaded something called Alchemy, which was a creative update, now i have no graphic equalizer at all now, and terrible tinny sound from my good 2. surround system worse than the inbult one, which was disabled. i have searched and searched, and spent 3 days now, trying to get the software to work , these being the G.E. the eax and bass boost etc. Every Win7 downloads for creative labs audigy card, wether from here or third partys have failed to install the components I must have. I bought and tried some demo graphic equalizers from cows site, None of them interracted with any of them, it was if they werent there, although inputs and outputs was set to the card it found. After spending another 8 hours today trying to sort this, I found other sound cards made by creative on amazon, which i use a lot, to my horror, the only cards that seem to have a G.E. and works with win 7 costs 177!! There is no way im going from a 120 sounblaster to 177 xfi, just cos i need a system graphic equalizer, Im just about to upgrade my photoshop elements 4, to elements 9, cos win7 wont accept the 4.0 version. so that another 155...!!!! i rather take out the whole H/D and buy a new one and reinstall XP. got to be better than paying out 130, its insane!! Notes or comments on how, if at all, I can get this sounblaster audigy G.E to work would be greatly welcome, as would the lost 60 gig of videos from my external drive.

First of all, why did you say yes to Nero Back up before researching what it does with files already on the HDD? When I install Nero, the Back Up is the first thing I disable, it is a nagging pain, there are much better backup programs available. There are several file recovery programs out there to recover deleted files, that is, if that is what happened. Also, if you haven't overwritten the files, so you should be able to find them.

DC Demoted, now issues siezing roles. AD Broken.

I've taken ownership of yet another troubled network. This time, the issue is that the server 2012 domain controller was expereincing hardware failure. I set up another Server 2012 machine, managed to add it to the forest, and then demoted the old DC using
dcpromo.
That was a few months ago. Now it appears that I am experiencing some issues with the new domain controller. I noticed issues when I was having trouble logging in. My password no longer works, but I managed to get into the DC using a colleagues' password. Upon
launching Active Directory Users & Computers, I get "Naming information cannot be located because: The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted."
Then, I realised that when I go to \\DC2, I don't see any netlogon or sysvol shares. So as I was diagnosing it, I went to check which server holds all the FSMO roles. It looks like DC1 (the old DC which was decomissioned) still held all the roles! I'm not sure
why demotion process didn't shift the roles from the old failing DC to the new DC. So, I went sieze all the roles using ntdsutil. Everything was going smoothly until I went to seize the schema master role using the "sieze schema master" -- at this
point I got an error stating:
Win32 error returned is 0x2098(Insufficient access rights to perform the operati
on.)
Depending on the error code this may indicate a connection,
ldap, or role transfer error.
Transfer of schema FSMO failed, proceeding with seizure ...
ldap_modify of SD failed with 0x32(50 (Insufficient Rights).

So naturally I google it, and it appears the issue here is that the account I am using to do the role siezing has insufficient permissions (i.e. not member of Enterprise Admins/Schema Admins) to conduct this role siezure. However, I have successfully siezed
the Naming Master, PDC, RID, and Infrastructure roles.
Now I am stuck in a chicken and egg situation -- I can't give the account I'm using the correct group permissions beause AD is broken; I can't fix AD because I don't have the permissions.
How can I fix this? Any insight appreciated. I'd like to avoid rebuilding the DC if possible.

Alright -- I thought the root issue was that I couldn't sieze the roles. After further research it appears there are 2 issues.
1. Netlogon/Sysvol are missing (All the steps I can find on the internet pertaining to restoring Netlogon/Sysvol require the use of FRS, however on my system teh FRS service is set to 'disabled' -- I understand FRS was only used in server 2003 and earlier,
everything after that uses DFS?)
2. There are remnants of the old DC still left behind. Here is the output of dcdiag /E:

DC1 is long gone -- since 2013-11-14 as shown on the last lines of the above output of repadmin. How can I remove all remnants of this old DC?
I have tried to follow steps in this KB article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315457/en-gb but the FRS service will not start on my server at all (probably as I'm using DFS). Are there special steps needed to be taken on a server if the SYSVOL/NETLOGON folders
are using DFS rather than FRS? That article appears to be for Win server 2003 and not 2012.

Cannot start Web Cache in Oracle 10g App Server

Hi,
Our Application runs on Oracle10g App Server,
When it tried to start WebCache using the command
opmnctl startproc ias-component=WebCache process-type=WebCache
it shows the error...
opmn id=oracle10g:6200
no enabled components for this request
When i tried to enable WebCache using Enable/Disable Component in Oracle 10g Enterprise manager - I can't see WebCache component it to enabe or disable it.
When i tried opmnctl status., it shows

I am not clear, may i know why should the ports be changed for the request to go through Web Cache ???
Can i assign port 80 for Web Cache and 7778 for HTTP Server ?

Closing a new document with textvariable

1. In Indesign CS4 version 6.0.2 ,
if I create a new document and insert a textvariable, I can save the document and I can close it.
2. In scripting Indesign CS4 version 6.0.2 with VB.net (Visual Studio 2008 + Framework 3.5),if I open a document manually created under Indesign CS4 version 6.0.2 with a textvariable, I can save the document and I can close it.

Help me install oracle form and report 9.0.4 on red hat AS 4 x86

i installed oracle database 10.0.2 on my red hat AS 4 x86 in /u01/app/oracle/product/10.0.2/db_1. Now i want to install oracle form and report 9.0.4 on my computer in /u02/app/oracle/product/9.0.4
The oracle installer checks for required packages. It will produce the following list of missing packeges:
Package gcc-3.2.3-20 is missing
Package compat-gcc-7.3-2.96.122 is missing
Package compat-gcc-c++-7.3-2.96.122 is missing
Package compat-libstdc++-7.3-2.96.122 is missing
Package compat-libstdc++-devel-7.3-2.96.122 is missing
Package setarch-1.3-1 is missing
Package sysstat-4.0.7 is missing
Package gnome-libs-1.4.1.2.90-34.1 is missing
Package libstdc++-3.2.3 is missing
Package compat-libstdc++-devel-7.3-2.96.122 is missing

The requirements for installing 10.2.0 and 9.0.4 on RHEL4 differ - 9.0.4 is based on older versioned RSFs and require linking against older compatibility libraries.
The OUI may incorrectly complain if later versions of the required/pre-requisite packages really are installed - this should not be a problem functionally, however.
The latter errors you report, however (make, relocation error, glibc/symbol), are symptomatic of trying to link with/against incompatible gcc/glibc versions. Try installing the following additional compatibility files (appropriate for your architecture);
- http://oss.oracle.com/projects/compat-oracle/dist/files/RedHat/compat-oracle-rhel4-1.0-5.i386.rpm
- http://oss.oracle.com/projects/compat-oracle/dist/files/RedHat/compat-libcwait-2.1-1.i386.rpm
If you have not already done so, I suggest you create and use (i.e. source) separate environment definition files when working with each product/version environment. For 9.0.4, ensure that you specify environment variable LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.19 before installing 9.0.4 (or relinking).
If you have MetaLink access, refer also to Note.315832.1, Note.389811.1.

[solved] mplayer and m3u files

I'm trying to stream music from netjuke through mplayer. Netjuke creates .m3u files but when I tell mplayer to play the file I get the following error:
Win32 LoadLibrary failed to load: avisynth.dll, /usr/lib/win32/avisynth.dll, /usr/local/lib/win32/avisynth.dll
I have the codecs package installed and there are a lot of codecs in /usr/lib/win32 but no avisynth.
How can I fix this?

That fixed it but I also need to add
-prefer-ipv4
to stop an ipv6 lookup issue
