help i have update my macbook to lion, but after this the webcam dosent work. its say no webcam install on this computer, are there som one there can help me

Sports fan widget not working after installing Lion

After installing Lion, the sports fan widget stopped working. All the information is there but it looks like it has been expanded. Is anyone else having this issue?

Built in ethernet don't work after installing OSX 10.7 on my MacBookPro 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 15.

On my MacPro 2 x 2.6 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon it's not working good, i have to do a restart to get internet connection.

Something does look odd to me unless it's a typo in your post.
This look like what I'd expect from the NetGear Router - not form the modem. That is when You browse the router stats (http:/192.168.1.1)
I work with a modem with te folowing preverences:
Wan IP address    87.211.205.210
Lan IP address     192.168.1.1
Primery DNS server       62.58.50.5
Secondary DNS server   62.58.50.6
and a separate router Netgear WGT624v3
This is not exactly what I would expect from System Preferences/Network
the system preferences for the network are
Configure       by DHCP
IP address     192.168.1.15
Subnetmask 255.255.255.0
Router           192.168.5.1 <<<<<<<<<<< this should be 192.168.1.1??????
DNS              208.67.222.222
                     208.67.220.220
The Router address in System Preferences/Network should be the same as the LAN IP Address. In this case it's on a different network.
If this is not a type then this is a problem!
Not sure how it got to be that way.
Does it persist when resetting the modemand router?/

Audio not working after installing lion

I have recently installed lion os x on my mac book pro. After installation...there is no sound.
Did anybody face this issue and got a way out.

A suggested fix is to try this:
Easy fix, just go into Audio MIDI Setup and change the output format to 2-ch 32-bit float and then it will stick and you won't have any issues from then on. I suspect that there is something wrong with the default (16-bit) mode that bugs out.
However, in my install on an older Macbook Pro 15", I don't have 16-bit sound available. But perhaps it will work for you.

You should only have one ID for iCloud, and perhaps one for the iTunes Store, depending on how you set it up.
To setup iCloud email you need to login with your iCloud @me.com email address and iCloud password.

After installing Lion OSX on Macbook Air, no longer wakes from sleep

Since installing Lion and after update to 10.7.4, Mac book Air no longer wakes from sleep. Have to hold pwr key for a few seconds and restart. Tried resetting SMC and PRAM but no effect.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click Log in.
*Note: If FileVault is enabled under OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode. Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Are you guys facing any prolems after installing Lion OS on macbook pro?

The cross tab for closing a tab on safari vanishes from the tab when I look to close it. Windows are hanging more often too. I am facing these issues since I installed Lion OS.

Leave your machine plugged in overnight so that your MBP can re-index your files. As with any install, do a Permissions run afterwards...and came back here with your results. I'd like to know what happened.

Ethernet quit working after installing Lion

I had a clean install of Lion and everything seemed to be working well. All of a sudden, after three days, my ethernet connection quit working. I can continue to connect through my Airport. I tried another computer on my wired network and it worked fine so I know the network is not at fault. Connecting the ethernet cable causes me to lose my connection even with Airport on. Any ideas?

Just got a call from the Apple Service rep. His solution worked-no idea why, but he said the problem was in some sort of "confusion" caused by the Location identification for the ethernet connection after the upgrade to Lion. Steps to fix the problem:
- Open System Preferences-Network
- Turn off Wi-Fi
- Select Ethernet and delete the connection (hit the - button at the bottom left)
- Hit the + button to establish a new connection. Select Ethernet in the dropdown next to Interface. Hit Create
- Select the Assist me... button at bottom, and then press the Assistant... button on the popup
- An Introduction screen appears which has a box with a Location designated for the new connection
- Hit Continue
- Select the appropriate modem being used to connect to the internet and hit Continue
- Hit Continue on the next screen
- Do not fill in any of the information on the screen that appears. Hit the Go Back button and then close out the Network Setup Assistant. Apparently, by going this far, you've established a new Location so no need to complete the setup if you've had an internet connection which was working.
At this point you're back on the Network Preferences screen, and my Ethernet connection reflected that I was connected and had an IP address. When I opened Safari and Chrome, both opened correctly with my home page and all seemed back to normal. I'll repost if the connection does not hold.
I hope this helps others with this problem.

Mail and safari won't work after installing lion.

After upgrading my computer to Snow Leopard then to Lion I am unable to open Safari and Mail. The computer says the versions I have are not compatible with Lion. I have checked to see if there are any available updates by selecting the apple at the top left - the computer states it is up-to-date.
Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

Please check to see if both the Mail app and Safari app were located at the root level of the Applications folder, and not renamed in any way. Unless that is the case, the Upgrade to Lion may not work correctly.
However, also look with Spotlight to see if there are more than one version of each on your Mac, as your links in the Dock might refer to now outdated ones.

You are posting in iSight Discussions. Are you using iSight in addition to your "logitech orbit camera"? Based on my interpretation of your post, I offer the following comments assuming that you do not use an iSight.
For your questions about "logitech orbit camera", you should find the best help at Logitech Product Support.
You mention that you have "the USB fixer". Do you mean iChatUSBCam? If so, you can find help for that software at iChatUSBCam support. Whether you need to keep iChatUSBCam when updating to OS X 10.4.9 may depend on whether your version of the "logitech orbit camera" is the UVC one (P/N 861305.) Perhaps reinstalling iChatUSBCam will help? These are questions best answered by iChatUSBCam support.
Unless you get the answers to your iChat questions here, you should find the quickest and best help with iChat problems by starting your own new topic in iChat AV 3 Discussions.
I can offer you two other ideas. First, if you have not tried reapplying the 10.4.9 Combo updater, you can try the following:- Repair permissions.
- Then download and apply the new Mac OS X 10.4.9 Combo Update (PPC).
- Finish with another Permissions Repair, and then check your iSight again.Users have reported fixes to a variety of audio, video, connectivity, and software conflicts and unreliability issues after properly applying Combo Updates.
Second, if all else fails, you can try reverting to Mac OS X 10.4.8 to see if your "logitech orbit camera" will work that way. I do not often recommend retreating to previous versions, but if your peace of mind is at stake ....
