No instruction manual came w/the cam? If not, do a Google search for one. You can also call Fuji tech support and/or visit their tech support website for instructions.

  • Need sound and webcam drivers for Satellite A660-156

    hi all,
my hard disk was physically damaged and replaced by new one. All data and setting were copied.
But I found that no sound and webcam drivers are installed. I successfully had found them and installed, but still no changes. See sound icon with 'no sound' indication, click on it to fix the problem, but no problems have been found.
Offered to see additional info or close the window. On Toshiba website found two sound drivers, but it doesn't help.
Any idea how to fix that problem?
    Thnx in advance!

  • GE600 Webcam Drivers

I have recently purchased an MSI GE600 Notebook.  I'm looking for the Webcam drivers as Windows 7 Ultimate does not list it under Device Manager.  Can someone point me in the right direction go obtain these drivers?

I couldn't find them on the downloads page.
No program will recognize it. There's no webcam even listed in devices.
    Thanks for any help,

I can't find them either... Wow.. all those drivers and no webcam drivers.
So here is what I found.
For me at least. I had somehow hit FN-F6 and that disables/enables the webcam. Enough that it doesn't show up in devices when disabled (stupid).
So try doing that and checking to see if it works. Hopefully it does.

  • Windows 7 64-bit Webcam Drivers for dv5t-1000

I have to say, the dv5t has been rock solid and performs admirably for the 3+ years that I've had it.  In terms of operation it is nearly perfect.
Here's my problem.  I upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate 64.  Everything works except for the webcam.  It is not detected as an unknown device.  To the OS, it appears that it just doesn't exist.
    Here's what I have tried:
Installing all the drivers for 32 bit and 64 bit Vista and Win 7 that could possibly related to the webcam to include various iterations of "HP MediaSmart Webcam Software" current, past and old versions for all the related dv5t models.  The software will not install due to no detected webcam.   I did get version 2.2 to install and it runs but you can't do anything due to no webcam being detected.
Then, I went to the Intel website to ensure I had the most current chipset offered.  According to Intel, everything was valid or current except my wired NIC.  I updated that.  Still, to no avail.
I have done numerous hardware scans and still no detection of webcam.  I have all the latest patches from Microsoft and HP where applicable.
I tried to look up the actual manufacturer to the webcam for a model number and work backwards from there, but I was unable to find any info on that.
Contacting customer support didn't yeild any results. (they have been great in the past, btw)
I tried seaching in the HP forums and across the internet.  In the forums there are others that do and don't have the same problem but it wasn't clear which flavor of dv5t they had.  I tried the solutions offered in the forum but still nothing.  The internet didn't get results on this issue either.
The webcam did work with Vista Home 32, the OS that orginally shipped with the laptop and i have tried those drivers too.
If I had to guess the is just some disparity between the OS, webcam or motherboard.
Please, if you have a solution, post and share the wealth.
Really, I am satisfied with the dv5t as it's the only model of that type at the time to offer a 16 x 9 screen (all others were 13 x 8 and WOW what a difference).
Anything definitive to resolve this would be great.
Thank you in advance for your time on this.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

In device manager tick Show hidden devices, under view on the toolbar.
If DM cannot see it you cannot install a driver, not sure why that hardware will not get detected.

  • Some webcam drivers (Quicktime Components) no longer work in Snow Leopard

I have two webcams, both of which worked before the update to Snow Leopard, both of which no longer work.
They are recognised by their own utility applications and I can see the video, but the QuickTime components used to transport this video to other programs eg Skype, simply do not work.
Does anyone know why this is? Is there anything that can be done about it?
Is it something about QuickTime that got removed or changed in the update? Can this be rectified? Does it require the vendors of these webcams to rewrite their drivers (I can't see why they should)?
    The webcams in question are:
Microsoft LifeCam VX-1000, previously working via a Sonix driver for the chipset it uses, that was modified to recognise the product ID of the device. Partially working with Macam.
Creative PD1000, previously working with the Macam component.
Macam works, just not the QuickTime component.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Have you updated Skype to the snow leopard compatible version?
Yes. Nothing to do with Skype, although latest version of Skype has huge problems on it's own anyway.
Many plug-ins need to be updated, and I wouldn't be surprised if you had a codec involved that might need updating as well...
Well that does seem to be the case, although I can't see webcam manufacturers updating their legacy products' drivers just for SL.
Does it require the vendors of these webcams to rewrite their drivers (I can't see why they should)?
You don't? Do you know about the 64-bit capabilities that are now part of Snow Leopard?
Uh, yes, but surely 32-bit plugins still work? System Preferences does just fine with 32-bit preference panes.. surely they wouldn't just yank out support for hundreds of old webcams without saying anything?
I'd really like to get Apple's official take on what's going on here. in the Macam forums, soo many people are reporting broken webcams under Snow Leopard.

  • Creative Webcam Drivers for Vi

    Hello!
I purchased a Creative Li've! Ultra for Notebooks webcam (the one here: http://www.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=244&subcategory=253&product=4 9&nav=3) back in November when I first came to college. It worked extremely well for me on Windows XP.
I recently upgraded to Vista Home Premium, and was wondering whether there were going to be drivers for Vista for this device. I see that it is one of three cameras that are still on sale on Creative's website, and hope that it will be updated. Can anyone tell me if there is a timeframe for an updated Vista driver?
I would definitely like to use it on Vista. If that is not possible, I will probably have to give it away and buy another brand, unfortunately.

  • How can I use my camcorder as a webcam (drivers)?

My camcorder used to work fine as a webcam.
I would plug it into the usb via an adapter and it would show up on skype as s-video or composite selection
I installed this echofx software and it came up with a logo over my video so I uninstalled it and now my camcorder does not show up at all so I cannot skype with it anymore.
Is there software for mac to download so my camcorder will show up on skype (or other program) settings again?

Haven't a clue, but suggest contacting the makers of echofx.

  • Where are webcam drivers stored? I want to delete them.

My iChat and Skype accounts are pulling up a Vega USB 2.0 webcam driver when in fact I am using a Macally webcam that does not require a driver.
Consequently, the video does not work and only the mic on the web cam does.
This driver is associated with a DLink webcam (probably model DSB C320) made by Vimicro.
However, there is no uninstall app and I can not even find a Mac driver for it...nor do I want one.
I simply want to know how does the operating system pull up the available webcam driver options so that I can go to that location and delete them so that my Macally webcam will work.
Any high tech advice out there...?
    Please advise.
    Thanks,
    Lou

Drivers or extensions are installed in the /System/Library/Extensions/ folder.
    Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash.  Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder.  Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space.  If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application.  In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder.  You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder.  You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder.  Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item.  Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder.  Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences.  Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab.  Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS.  Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term.  Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default.  You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, Easy Find, instead.  Download Easy Find at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.
Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder.  Usually with the same name as the program or the developer.  The item generally has a ".pkg" extension.  Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
There are many utilities that can uninstall applications.  Here is a selection:
    AppZapper
    Automaton
    Hazel
    CleanApp
    Yank
    SuperPop
    Uninstaller
    Spring Cleaning
Look for them at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.
