Webcam for Panasonic 60" 3D TV (Model: TC-P60ST30)...

Hi,
Can someone please guide me which webcam is compatible with Panasonic plasma 60" 3D TV (Model: TC-P60ST30)??
thank you

Folks, please do not get confused. If you want to use the app on the LG then you will have to use the LG specific camera, for pre 2011 probably the AN-VC200, for 2011 the AN-VC300 and for 2012 the AN-VC400.
The Logitech solution is very neat BUT it is not using the LG Skype app on your TV.
Put simply the Logitech is Skype in a box, by plugging into a spare HDMI port on your TV ad using a network connection it does all the Skype work internally and uses the TV only as a screen.
Very neat solution as it will work on any TV with a spare HDMI port however you will need to plug it into your network using an ethernet cable (as described in the Logitech documentation).

I purchased a Panasonic Blu ray player and freetalk webcam from the Skype shop website and only the audio (no video) is being transmitted from the blu ray player on Skype. Skype, Panasonic, and Freetalk have no explaination for my issue, so I would like to know if anyone is successfully using the Freetalk webcam or if I should look to purchase the Pansonic brand webcam for my Panasonic blu ray player to use with Skype.

I followed this link and it worked perfectly for my Freetalk webcam and Panasonic Plasma TV:

    Hi Everyone,
eBuyNow would like to thank everyone for their posts and for being so patient while working hard to find a solution for the compatability issue some people were experiencing with their FREETALK Conference HD camera working with their Panasonic Blu-ray player or Panasonic TV.  The firmware version of some cameras was the reason for the issue.  Please follow the simple steps below to update the firmware version to 2703.
    Step 1
Use a Windows XP or Windows 7 PC.
    Go into link: http://freetalk.ebuynow.com/us/ebuynow/web-cameras/tv-webcams/freetalk-conference-hd-camera-for-panasonic-tvs.html
    Step 2
Scroll down to about half the page and click on the tab “Downloads”.
    Step 3
    Click on "Update your firmware"
    Step 4
Save the Binary File onto your desktop
    Step 5
Plug the Camera into the Windows PC’s using any available USB port
    Step 6
Click to open the Binary File you had saved
A pop-up/ dialog box will open on your screen “Freetalk Conference Firmware Update” – ensure that your pop-up blocker is off
    Step 7
    Click “Update Firmware” button
(When the Firmware update is successful, the text “Reload Complete” will appear in the white box at the bottom of the dialog box. The firmware update process is now complete)
    Step 8
Unplug the camera from the Windows PC
You may now follow the steps of connecting the camera to your Panasonic TV or Panasonic Blu-ray player and enjoy Skype video calls from your TV!

  • Freetalk Conference for Panasonic TV's

Just under a week ago I bought the Freetalk Conference device for my Panasonic TV.  I have received the item today via Instore Shop, It does not work with my TV despite it being sold as doing.  I am struggling to find out who I need to speak to resolve this and get the item sent back for a refund.
Can someone please help as the after sale support and service from Skype seems non-existant?
    Regards

Having the same issue with a Panasonic Blu Ray player and Freetalk webcam purchased on through the Skype Shop, via a third pary that distributes the freetalk webcam. Panasonic technical support told me that they do not provide support for webcams and recommended using the Panasonic branded webcam. The freetalk customer support has be nonresponsive to this issue. I believe that there is an issue with the compatibility of the freetalk and Panasonic products, however no  one is willing to fix this issue and Skype continues to market these products as compatable. Frustrated as well!

    Hi,
You may find the right part number in the service guide. Go to the Support & Drivers on the top of this page, then enter your laptop model and search it. When the product homepage comes up, go to the User Guides section and find a Maintenance and Service Guide for G56/CQ56 laptops.
You could also go on ebay and search for "webcam G56 laptop"..

  • Imovie HD with Panasonic Digital Viedeo Camera Model NV-EX3??

I'm currently using Powerbook 15" 1.67Gz with Mac OS X version 10.4.3. Now I'm trying to connect my Panasonic Dital Video Camera Model NV-EX3 through Firewire. But it didn't work at all. IMovie simply doesn't detect my camera at all. Is there any way you can explain this to me. Are there any more drivers I need to download. Please kindly assist me in finding solutions to this.
    Powerbook 15" 1.67Gz PowerPC G4   Mac OS X (10.4.3)   1 GB DDR2 SDRAM

I have the same problem. Using imovie 6 on the new intel imac. trying to import/connect the Panasonic NV-EX3 doesn't work. it recognizes that something hangs on firewire but doesn't recognize the camera.
Apple says ask Panasonic, they don't do drivers. Panasonic says ask Apple, thye don't have drivers for Apple.
Me, stuck in the middle. I thought you just connect a HD camera via firewire and you are in business.
Should I sell this one on Ebay and buy one that works? Which one would that is similar? don't want to get another one and end up with the same problem and unsupportive supliers.

  • FREETALK conference HD camera for Panasonic TVs

would the FREETALK conference HD camera for Panasonic TVs would work with my Panasonic Blu-Ray with Skype built-in?

I would not recommend as I purchased the Panasonic BDT110 blu ray player and freetalk conference webcam combo from the Skype shop and the video does not work on the webcam. I have received zero technical support from either the freetalk manufacturer and was instructed by Panasonic to buy their TY-CC10W webcam.

    (1) I think you be better served by a current production UVC (USB) webcam that has a warranty.
    Some examples: http://www.mac-compatible-web-cam.com/
Don't add any of the software bundled with these cameras (unless you have tested and know that you need it.)
Mac OS; X 10.4.9 (and later) include all drivers needed to use UVC cams.
    (2) If you are still considering buying an external iSight, understand that Apple has not sold external iSights for several years. These external iSights are great cameras, but they are getting old as electronics go. I have two, and both work wonderfully, but you have no idea how the one you buy now has been used or treated by its previous owner(s).
Many of us have good service from external iSights. However, as in this example from nearly two years ago, you may find it difficult to determine whether the iSight you buy now is functional:
      http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=9015271
If you buy an external iSight now, buy locally and test it on your Mac before you pay for it. If you cannot do that, (try to) get a written guarantee that you can have the iSight examined by your Apple Authorized Service Provider and can have a refund or exchange if the iSight doesn't pass his checks.
Even if the external iSight you are considering is advertised as an NOS (new, old-stock) iSight, it may not be covered by Apple Warranty. If the seller is not providing you service guarantees or warranty, you may be want to check Apple's iSight Service: Frequently Asked Questions, especially if you cannot test the iSight before you buy to be sure it is working.
    (3) Users with Macs older than yours or those using Mac OS earlier than 10.4.9 should be aware of the additional information from Ralph's user tip:

Assuming your MBP is a recent model, i.e. bought in the last couple of years, and that your TV has HDMI inputs (if you've bought it new then that's a safe assumption) then you need a mini-displayport to HDMI cable.  The Apple Store sell one:

The cheap & easy way is to just drag the app to the Trash.
    If you want to get all of the associated files use an app deleting app like the free AppCleaner;
    http://www.freemacsoft.net/appcleaner/
Just drag an app and drop it on the AppCleaner icon in the Dock and it will find and present to you all the files it thinks are associated with the app. You can uncheck any that you want to keep and then let AppCleaner Trash the rest.

  • Best webcam for Mac mini core solo?

What is the best webcam to use for my Mac Mini with an older display - is MacAlly icecam 2 sufficient? and i'm still on 10.4.11. Many thanks for your kind responses.

I've been looking into webcams for my mini and have noticed that some webcams whilst the video works, the sound doesn't. I have an old webcam which my wife uses on our windows box, and I got it working on my mac using the Macam drivers http://webcam-osx.sourceforge.net/ The only problem was that the microphone wasn't supported, a recurring trend!! From my investigations the Logitech Quick Cam Vision Pro for Mac seems to be the best available, but it is a bit expensive £89.99 here in the UK.

  • Need a webcam for PowerBook G4 running Mac OS 10.4.11 -- help!!!

Hi - i am looking for a webcam for my PowerBook G4 running Mac OS 10.4.11. No Apple service center or other computer store in India has any idea of what camera could work. Logitech sells the QuickCam Vision Pro for Mac, but that is too expensive for me. The ones I liked (from Logitech) are the Webcam C200/C250M/C500/C600 and the QuickCam for Notebooks - though I don't know if any of these is compatible with my G4.
Any suggestions? I'm open to suppliers other than Logitech, as long as it does not cost more than $60.
Please help me ASAP - thanks in advance

Just like the title asks, where can I find the integrated webcam for my HP G62t-350 Notebook PC? I have what looks like a rectangle in the top center of the screen/lid, in the bevel, but I'm not sure of how to get it to work, or if it's even able to work!
