Webcam Instant x64 Driver Availability

I've been trying to track down the WinXP x64 driver for the Webcam Instant recently, but it seems that the product has been completely discontinued on the Creative support site. I can't find the driver anywhere on the site, and Creative's support team has just sent me the same link twice to a page that has a dead link to a non-existent driver file. I Googled for the driver, but all the sites I found just had a link back to the Creative page instead of hosting the file themselves. Does anybody know if this driver still exists anywhere and how I can get it? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Found it at PlanetAMD64, but seeing as you need to be a member to download it I saved you the trouble and uplodaed it here,
http://files.filefront.com/WebcamIns.../fileinfo.html
P.S. For any Vista x64 users that still have this cam this driver will install/work as well, just need to right click and set it to XP compatibility before running.

  • Webcam Instant Vista x64

When will Vista x64 driver be ready for Webcam Instant? Vista has been in the market for nearly 2 years. It shouldnt be hard to write drivers.

Oh, i see it is a strategy which forces us to throw away one year old product and buy a new one. I am sorry but this strategy wont work on me because i will never ever buy another creative webcam again.

I don't understand your step 7 (the first step 7, actually).
What is that unixODBC-2.2.14-linux-x86-32.tar.gz, where did it come from, and why are you doing all that?
unixODBC should be installed after step 5.
I guess that that is the cause of your problem.
isql is not linked against readline at all on my RHEL 5 system.
Do you notice any improvement after removing the files from that tar.bz file?

  • Webcam instant driver * link *

After searching all over for it without any success ( specially here on creative website )
I came across a link that worked
and now my cam is finally installed and running
if anyone needs the webcam INSTANT driver , here is the link :

    Have a great day !

Just learned that the driver on the CD that came with the Webcam Instant works with Vista Ultimate SP1 x86. Just don't try to install it by using the install program on the CD. Also, you will have to have the Creative Cam Detector version 1.71.02 for XP to get full functionality. I had a copy of this from my XP partition. (found in the Cache directory under Creative in the Program Files directory)

    P4: icuuc40.dll P5: 4.0.0.3207
You're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file. (Apple Application Support is where program files that are used by more than one Apple program are kept.) Some XP systems aren't liking the 4.0.0.3207 version of the dll that is included in Apple Application Support 1.5.0.
The workaround at the moment on XP is to either:
    (1) Swap out your existing version of the dll for the 4.0.0.3205 version that was included in Apple Application Support 1.4.1.
    (2) Alternatively, you could download the icu4c-401-Win32-msvc8.zip from:
    http://icu-project.org/download/4.0.html
... extract the 4.0.1.0 version of the dll from that package, and replace your current 4.0.0.3207 with that.
The location of the existing file on your system is at:
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\icuuc40.dll
Drag the copy you find there out onto your desktop, and then drag in the version 4.0.0.3205 or the 4.0.1.0.

Someone gave us a vf0040 webcam. I don't understand what driver works with it on a pc. I also want to know if there's a driver available for Mac.

  • Webcam Instant Software Issue

My girlfriend recently purchased a Webcam Instant, and somehow, in a mysterious event(pun intended) broke the Installation CD before I could install it. Is there a site that I can get the Installation Software from, like a bit torrent, or a virtual drive NFO? Or am I completely in trouble, and just wasted that money? Thanks for the help.

go to this website. search for your down load under support then downloads. You can use your model number to search for your exact product download. my model number was ct6840.

  • Webcam Instant Not detected

Just got one of these webcam instants and the thing is not being detected in any way, shape or form anywhere on my PC or with in the software provided. I have downloaded the appropriate drivers from this site and still no go. So with further investigation I found that some times the bios has something to do with this? Somethng about BIOS not supporting this type of thing or getting a USB HUB with its own power source or something? Does this make sense to anyone? Anyway I have tried everything that I can except the USB hub thing (too much hassell and a buncha B.S.) and updating my bios. Im not down for that unless I absolutly HAVE to. Anyway if anyone can shed any light on this I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm having a similar problem. My WebCam Instant didn't intall ANY shortcuts. The driver is up to date and installed and the device is recognized BUT I CAN'T USE THE DARN THING. Working on it though ... will post again in -3 weeks.

I will update thread with their reply as nothing, even Driver Genius Professional 11 has located the actual working driver. Once an update is verified, I will post back to this thread since I couldn't find the right answer online.

  • Win 7 x64 Driver for a 32bit CF Cardbus Adapter (x61)

Does anyone know where I can get a Win 7 x64 driver for a 32bit CF cardbus adapter mounted in the Lenovo x61 internal multicard reader?
I am running Win 7 x64 on a Lenovo X61 7675-CTO.  I have an Viking 32 Bit High Speed Compact Flash Cardbuss Adapter inserted in the internal multicard reader.  When I insert a CF card in the reader, I get  "Mass Storage Controller" and "drivers for this device are not installed" error indicators from the Windows Device Manager.
This configuration was working fine for me under Win XP x32.  I read the suggestion posted to another thread that one can downgrade to Win 7 x32, but I am hoping for a X64 solution.  I have already installed the "6iio10ww" Intel Matrix Storage Manager Driver for Windows 7 (64-bit).  The problem seems to be that Viking has not released a x64 driver for this product.  It seems Microsoft should have installed the proper driver during the OS install since this device was around before the Win 7 was introduced.
Can anyone suggest a source for the proper driver or an alternative CF card cardbus adapter known to work with Win 7 x64 OS?

    Thanks!
Apologies for now double-posting: new thread
