Webcam - Motorola SBG900 Gateway Help

i just got a webcam and have a motorola sbg900 gateway and i can't broadcast my webcam through yahoo messenger - i get network errors, but the webcam works fine - i see the image, but can't broadcast. i tried to turn off the firewall through windows and through the gateway, and also tried to forward the port to 500, but can't get anything to broadcast. can anybody help? thanks for looking

I had the same problem getting network errors when trying to broadcast my cam on Yahoo IM.
However I found a fix that worked for Yahoo and MSN. I will give it to you just as I found it. Hope it works for you.
a) Log into the interface of the Modem with the 92.68.00..
b) Go to the Gateway section on the left hand side of the screen and click onit. On the status section there will be a list of DNS Server Address, write these down.
c) Log out of the Cable Modem.
d) Go to start then control panel (or settings then control panel if running windows 98SE).
e) Double click on network connections.
f) Right click on the Local Area Connection (LAN).
g) Go down to properties and left click on it.
h) Highlight Internet Protocol (TCP / IP) and click properties.
i) Put a check mark in use the following DNS Server Address, then add the DNS numbers that you wrote down in there.
j) Press the okay button then presses it again to get out of the screen.
k) Try the web cam. If it does not work then restart then restart thecomputer. After the computer restarts try the web cam once more.

the g3 does not have a wireless card. it's connected via ethernet to my wireless cable modem.
the express is only connected to the receiver and nothing else.
the powerbook only has 10.2.8 and i do not have a licensed upgrade for it right now. however, the built in airport wireless card does recognize the signal from the express, but it does not work.
i need this to work with the g3 because it's my home system the laptop is a work system.

hello all i have hp pavilion dv9500 and i have no sound no webcam no mic please help
on the sound i can see the green part on the volume control move so i know drivers are fine but i cant hear it at all i bought new speakers and fitted them still no sound im thinking hardwear prob there is a chip that feeds them all and also the power button could it be this please help thanks all

Which operating system is installed?
What do you mean by "fitted speakers"? Do you mean plugged the connector in?
What is the exact product name/number of your notebook?
Is there no webcam or mic internally installed or do you mean that they are not working?

Webcam not working- Please Help

Hi,
I have a Pavillion g7, and the webcam will not work
I tried updating the drivers,
Uninstalling and reinstalling the webcam
and rebooting my computer.
I experienced this issue once before and it fixed itself.
When i open youcam, it says " new webcam found, would you like to use (HP-101), when I say yes, the same message just pops up again and again.
Device manager says that it is working properly.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated

Sorry but I don't think there is driver for your webcam. Please refer to the driver availability chart for updates.

E4200 default gateway help

Hey all.... I'm really hoping someone can help me.
I have a network setup between two houses, but only one internet connection. Each house has a router acting as a DHCP server handing out a limited range of addresses. It was done this way so that if the connection between the two houses fails, each individual network will still be running. (all addresses are 192.168.2.XYZ).
At the house that does not have internet, I set the router to hand out a default gateway of the router at the house that does have internet. After replacing my old router with the new E4200, I realised that the new router does not allow me to specify which default gateway to hand out to DHCP clients (I dont see why it would hurt allowing users to do this, but anyways).
I'm not entirely sure how to set this up now, from what I can tell after some reading up, I would have to have each house on a different network (192.168.2.xyz and 192.168.3.xyz) and set up static routes at each house to route traffic between the two networks.
The house that does not have internet has the E4200, could I plug the connection from the house that does have internet into the wan port and still allow that house to see my network shares and such?
I know this is quite complex, so any help would really be appreciated.

EDIT: Just to add to this, the two houses are connected via two Ubiquiti Nanostation loco M5's

Are both routers connected to each other?
Follow this link to connect Linksys router to another router.
Try LAN to LAN connection type and see if that works.

WebCam Live! Pro - Help required

Can't even manage to get this piece of kit installed! When I go through the installation process on the cd, as soon as it says plug in WebCam the Windows "Found New Hardware" box comes up. In the manual it says that when this happens remove the WebCam and press cancel. Pressing cancel then stops everything.
Am I missing something really obvious hear? It makes it sound really simple in the manual but it simply doesn't work that way.
Any help or guidance would be very much appreciated...

i've just re read your problem......
dont plug your webcam in unitl the prompt. then you will get the " found new hardware wizard".....
to install the hardware you the click on " install the software automatically(recommended) and then click next....
if a hardware installation box comes up click continue anyway
after that i followed the instructions. an icon was set up on my desk top and i went straight into capture !
once you get it working , tell me how the mic works on IM for you and what settings you used.
im using windows xp(sp2)

Live Webcam and Netstream.publish HELP!

Hello! Im new to the forums. Im working on a project for work and im using FMS 3 and AS3. I've gotten to a point where google cant help me anymore. When I get my webcamera with flash and allow the camera to be used it then opens a netstream to the FMS server, which for some reason doesnt work all the way. I can see the new stream being published but i just stops and you cant view it. Here is my code.

Problem connecting Motorola MC55 Handheld-Help!

Hi Gang,
I have a pre-gigabit AirPort Extreme with only one minor issue. My wife's Motorola MC55 handheld computer/barcode scanner will not work when plugged into the AEBS. This device transmits and receives data from a data center over the Internet or telephone. The latter works fine. When I connect the MC55 to my AEBS the "test" screen says it is connected, but when I hit the xmit button, it sits for a long time then gives me a communications error message.
This device is like a gaming machine in that you simply plug it in and it works. I tried it at two friends' homes and it worked find. One is a Motorola router/modem combo and the other a FiOS setup with an ActionTec router.
It would seem that a default host could be set up but the MC55 is locked so I don't know what IP to key into the AEBS software. I've gone through every setting in the software and no luck. The MC55 will not communicate over Ethernet/LAN/Internet.
A level 3 tech from TWC tried to help but was not familiar enough with the AEBS to really get anywhere.
Ideas?

I forgot to mention.
TWC says that since the device connects to the Internet fine when connected DIRECTLY to the cable modem, the trouble is not theirs.
AppleCare says that since the computers in my house connect to the Internet just fine, then the MC55 is the problem.
The company that buys the MC55s says that it should work and I should look more closely at my router, AEBS.
So maybe this is very esoteric. My local network is running on 192.168.xx.xx and I am using OpenDNS. Maybe these setting don't work with the MC55. I've surely changed everything else in trying to fix this. I even bought a Netgear 3500 and tried to set it up to see if it would work. WHAT A POS! I could not even get it to recognize the Internet. Back it goes to BB.

To make the RIZR sync with the Address Book, you need to go to your user folder's /Library/ folder.
Inside that folder, create a folder called
PhonePlugins (if it doesn't already exist)
Drop the plugin (MOTZ3.phoneplugin) into the folder.
I think a restart is necessary for the plugin to be recognized.
When you're back up and running, ensure that:
(a) BlueTooth is ON (you can check in System Preferences-->Bluetooth. Also, while you're here, it's a good idea to check the box that shows the status of BlueTooth in the menu-bar, for quick access)
(b) DO NOT have Bluetooth File Exchange running when attempting to sync (i.e., don't select Browse Device from the Bluetooth menu)
(c) Open iSync and Add Device. It may take a moment, but iSync should recognize the Z3, and offer you various options.

Mac Mini WebCam Issues. Need Help.

I have a mini i7 with a Logitech HD Pro webcam. The person at the other end gets a bad echo of themselves when video chatting. The issue is on my side, not theirs. Tried face time and google talk. Even tried two different web cams. My wife's iMac has a check box to "use ambient noise reduction" my mac mini doesn't have that option. How can I fix this. Surly there are mac mini owners using webcams?

When I use the cam with it's built in mic the person at the other end gets really bad echos. Apparently no ambient noise reduction check box on a mini.
So I buy a Logitech USB mic and that took care of the echo but even with the input volume cranked the person at the other end can barley hear me unless I use the mic like you're drinking out of a straw.
Why is this so **** hard??

I'm having trouble removing my Yahoo! e-mail account from my Motorola Razr! HELP!

I have not received any e-mails on my phone but my notification ringtone goes off every time. I have entered my password to access my e-mail account, but it tells that I have invaild credentials. I have also tried to remove and add the account again, but it says invalid credentials every time. HELP!!

Not being able to remove your email account must be very inconvenient. When you get the INVALID CREDENTIALS error, the email needs to be authenticated online via a computer. Are you able to access your email account online?

MGCP Gateway Help

I have a site where they treat the employees, from a finance perspective, as 2 companies. Because of this they was all their calls to go out different BRIs/PRIs so they can just charge each 'company' their share. Last time I visited there I met with a reseller and one of their voice engineers said I could do this by creating 2 different MGCP gateways for the single router. There may have been something I missed in translation (Japanese) but I cannot figure out how to make a second MGCP gateway for this router.
Any ideas?

Create different set of CSS, partitions, route patterns. Assign the new CSS to the other users with access to partitions that new duplicate route patterns are assigned to and point to the dedicated ports on the gateway.

Just got a new MBP w/ Retina Display and the webcam quality is horrid, help?

As the title says, I just bought my new macbook pro 15inch with retina display. Started to skype with a friend and noticed the quality of the webcam is HORRIBLE, even on photobooth. My 2010 MBP has way better quality than this, is this just a problem with the retina display ones or do all MBP now come with crappy quality webcams?
