WebCam Multimedia Video

Has anyone seen a good tutorial on how to build a web application that will display a web cam sitting on a server computer to browsers of a web page... I know this is probably done with Applets and JSP but I do not know where to begin. Thanks.

Webcam/incoming video not working with flash 11

I use a chat room which uses adobe flash for webcams to video conference. I've used adobe flash for webcam purposes for years without an issue but all of a sudden my outgoing video/audio doesn't work and incoming audio/video is very choppy. My webcam freeze frames on the first image it sees, and incoming audio/video just skips like a broken CD. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling flash, uninstalling reinstall chrome, different browers...but the problem only exists in adobe flash. My webcam works fine in non-flash programs (i.e. Skype), as well as incoming audio/video. I believe this problem occured directly after the latest flash update. What can I do?
Specs:
2005 Dell Inspiron
OS: Windows XP
32 Bit
Browser: Chrome (but tried also firefox, IE and still didnt work)
Webcam: MS Lifecam VX-3000

Here are the steps required to install the previous version
1. Uninstall Flash Player using the stand alone uninstaller using these instructions
2. Download the previous version of Flash Player here: Flash Player 11.1.102.63
Note: This downloads a .zip file that contains all of the different releases of Flash Player for that version (ie. Windows, Mac, etc.)
3. Extract the contents of this zip file
4. Depending on your operating system and browser, go into either the 64 or 32 bit folders (do not use the debug folder) then double click the following filename to start the installation:
Internet Explorer for Windows 7 64-bit: flashplayer11_1r102_63_winax_64bit.exe
Other browsers for Windows 7 64-bit: flashplayer11_1r102_63_win_64bit.exe
Internet Explorer for all Windows 32-bit systems: flashplayer11_1r102_63_win_32bit.exe
Other browsers for all Windows 32-bit systems: flashplayer11_1r102_63_winax_32bit.exe
Mac OSX: flashplayer11_1r102_64_mac.dmg

I have tried to install my Qosmio G20 Windows XP (MCE) with PCI device ..
PCI multimedia video controller.
USB device.
I installed it manually and mapped the driver path to "C:/ tools cd "
It gives me an reply that the no driver is found for the device and get finished..
So what I am suppose to do now and make it work...

If you ran Toshiba Recovery, then the drivers should be in C:\TOSAPINS
But running recovery should install all the required drivers automatically.
I am guessing that its the TV Tuner, so go to the Toshiba website and install the TV Tuner Driver.
If that doesnt work, tell us the VEN and DEV numbers
For XP: Go to Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager.
For Vista: Go to Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Device Manager.
Right-Click on the Unknown Device, and select "Properties".
Go to the "Details" Tab, select "Device Instance ID" or "Hardware Ids" in the dropdown list.
You will see something like PCI\VEN_????
The VEN_ number is the Vendor or Manufacturer. For example:
8086 = Intel
10EC = Realtek
168C = Atheros
14E4 = Broadcom
1022 = AMD
1106 = VIA
11AB = Marvell Yukon

Missing Multimedia Video Controller

In the last few days I reinstalled my comupter and now the multimedia video controller driver is missing. I have made a recovery disc before reinstalling, but it is not working now. Are there any drivers I can download online from the site or somewhere else? Please respond ASAP if you have any suggestions or answers. Thank you!

ciao a tutti...ho appena comprato una webcam live video im...ho installato correttamente i driver e tutte le applicazioni...ma ogni volta che cerco di visualizzare l'immagine della webcam o di fare una video chiamata su msn messenger il pc mi si riavvia automaticamente....cosa pu essere ki mi da una mano vi prego aiutatemi ? MOLTO IMPORTANTE...

Switching webcam player video format black square problem

After the webcam player is stopped and the format changed and player is started using a new format there is a black square that appears over the screen area that partially covers up the webcam session.
Why is this happening?

Just incase anyone else runs into this problem, I was able to solve it by calling setVisible(false) on the current visual component.

MSN Messenger uses wrong inbuilt webcam for video chat on triple screen set up. It uses a cinema display webcam not the iMac webcam.

For some strange reason if i attach my 2 apple cinema displays to my iMac to make a triple screen set up msn messenger video chat does work but it uses the apple cinema display inbuilt webcam and not the iMac webcam. Its annoying as i have to turn sideways to get into the video call view.
So i have a set up like this: an apple cinema display thunderbolt, then in the middle an iMac new then to the right of the iMac another apple thunderbolt cinema display. WWhen i use MSN messenger to make a video call it uses the inbuilt webcam on the far right apple thunderbolt cinema display and not the inbuilt webcam in the iMac in front of me, its annoying any ideas please.
If i unplug both side cinema displays MSN messenger uses the inbuilt camera on the iMac like normal but when i use extra screens it uses the webcam built into those and not the iMacs webcam.

I would try with another client like skype or something
and if it's only msn messanger which have the problem it may
be more of a question for ms's forum?

Is there a way to obtain video using a webcam through video grabber?

HI everyone.
I am relatively new to labview.
Is there a way to display the webcam video through a video grabber without using labview vision acquisition software?
My project is to acquire the video from the webcam through the video grabber and interface it on labview.
I am using Labview 2011 student edition.
The camera is a cmos camera with a video format of PAL_N.
The video grabber is called "ezgrabber".

You can capture live video from a web cam. You can send it to another computer and display it in an applet.

Acrobat X PRO - WaterMark in Multimedia (video)

I want to add a watermark in a document and I need that the mark also appears on the multimedia elements (video) attached in the document, even when the user watch it in full-screen. Is this possible?

Multiple webcams composite video streaming

I am relatively new to media foundation and I had just finished building my first single webcam streaming application using 'Developing Microsoft Media foundation Applications'. I have multiple dynamic webcam sources(the webcam number can change) and I need
to combine them using the video mixer to form a composite video stream much like how multiple CCTV live streaming working on one screen. And yet at the same time I can access individual video stream and highlight/bring in to focus/zoom in when the cursor is
hovering over to a particular video stream(event listening on video stream).
I need a set of guidelines to work with media session, topology, video mixer and video presenter to implement the functionality above. Any help is greatly appreciated. I am not looking into directX to achieve the functionality above. I am into the native
media foundation architecture.

Camera are WVC54GCA
Router is a WRT300N.
Like I stated earlier, one of these cams I can stream fine to my backberry storm,(Port 554 is forward to the ip address of the camera) but can't seem to configure the other for cell phone viewing.
All cameras can be viewed via http via computers.

Webcam audio & video out of sync

Is there an easy fix for the webcam so I could get the audio & video in sync? One of them lags more then the other I think the video lags more, on playback.

Welcome to the forum.
PrE is designed to work best with footage shot on a video camera, and pretty well well with footage shot on a digital still camera, that also shoots video, but with limitations. It does not do so well with Webcam footage, or video screen-capture footage, say from FRAPS, or similar.
It also lacks a real, live-capture module, like PrPro's OnLocation, so there will likely be limitations.
What are the full specs. of the files generated from the Webcam? There might be a workaround available, though maybe not.

You can use an ActiveX to visualize, capture images or frames from a webcam, scanner or any other mci/twain device (e.g. capturepro @ www.download.com).

Webcam gets video but no mic

I need assistance!I have consulted everyone from Dell to logitech.Im runninig a Dell XPS with windows7 x 64 ,Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium.I use Skype frequently.About 2 mos ago my logitech webcam mic stopped working.I tested the webcam on my laptop and it worked fine. I plugged an extenal analog mic in and it worked fine.The video has always worked.When I plug in the separate mic it is listed in the Skype audio dropdown selections.When I attach the webcam the only audio option is digital in SB X- fi.I reinstalled Skype many times and it will notrecognize the audio part.I renistalled logitech several times to no avail.I decided it was a software glitch and bought a FaceVision Plug and play. No drivers needed to install.It does the same thing.Only Video!It also works fine on my laptop.I can only conclude That something is set in the Creative software that it blocking the audio.I have spent days on this HELP PLEASE!!

Hi I dont know if you resolved this yet but I helped a friend with a similar issue try going into device manager and see if soundblaster is your only drivers listed if its the only one then this probably wont work, if you had onboard sound before installing sound blaster try right clicking and disabling the sound blaster driver you will have to reboot and see if the onoard sound will work.
If thats not it you may need to go through your sound settings in control panel see if you can find another option to use in your recording settings besides Sound Blaster.

E71 sending multimedia video clips larger than 300...

Hi. I have some awesome clips that I'm trying to send to my friends and and family but I'm unable to send them via multimedia because they are too large. I tried to send them as an attachment via email but it just sits in my que for months not going any where. Can any help with this?

the file size has nothing to do with it according to apple advisor I spoke to at support. We has concluded that the iOS4 limits video clips that can emailed to 54 seconds long. No matter the size of the file. take a 720p video and and export your imovie at the highest quality then try to email it. Mail will trim the clip to 54 seconds every time regardless of file size or length. As long as your video is 54 seconds or shorter, mail will not ask you to cut the video down to be emailed or sent to mobile me. the guy I spoke to at apple support has sent a letter to apple engineers about this issue and is going to call me back in a few days about it so I will post whatever answers I get. I emailed myself a video done with imovie app and it was 107mb but was exactly 53 seconds long, and it went through without asking me to cut it. I went back and changed one transition to 2 seconds longer making the video 55 seconds and it had to be cut. After cutting the video and emailing it to myself it showed up as 54 seconds long and 105 MB.
