Hi there,
I want to purchase one good webcam. Please suggest me which one is the best among these two.
1. Webcam Vista Pro or
2. Webcam Instant
My main priority is that the webcam should deli'ver good pics at max resolution and work good at low light.

i don't know about your internet issue. theres likely some sort of conflict between the drivers and every kind of application used to display web pages. hopefully some person @ creative or some moderator on this forum can help out more with this? anyway, i found a page with the drivers for your camera (model VF0330).

I recently bought "webcam vista" and i have few problems with my windows XP.
it seems to be that the cam supports win XP but when I am tiring to "find" the cam on the hardware list
it didn't appears.
when I am tiring to record my self I can see a picture but No voice!!!!!!
same problem with the live messenger people can see me but not to hear!
please help I have tried everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Creative WebCam Vista Problem !

Creative WebCam Vista Plus on USB PCI Card (VIA VT 6212) on Windows ME - doesnt work !!

PC turns off when the Vista Plus WebCam is connected to the USB port on my USB PCI Card
I use a primitive Intel Celeron 300Mhz processor with 64MB RAM on an Intel 440BX-AT Chipset running on Window ME. I recently installed a USB PCI Card (based on the VIA VT 622 chipset) which is a 394/USB 2.0 Combo. The problem is my 'Creative WebCam Vista Plus' doesnt work with it.
After I had installed the drivers on the 'Creative WebCam Vista Plus' CD - that is - without connecting the webcam to my USB PCI card the installation asks me to connect the webcam to the USB port and When I do that the PC just GOES OFF !
It starts up only in SAFE MODE and each time I've got to restore my PC.
How do I get the WebCam connected to my PC ?

9hours later and Ive given up. I cant get the Vista 64 Ultimate to work with the Audigy 2Nx usb sound card. Im very angry and very frustrated (not to mention very tired from the 2 late nights Ive spent trying to work it out). Im not a PC-noob, but am only 4days into my Vista ownership................... Im guessing now, after much research, that there will never be a driver that gets these units to work with Vista 64bit. thats pretty weak Creative. However, I dont want to use crappy onboard sound for my gaming.What is the suggestion?Should I be looking at returning this unit, and buying either the X-Fi Xtremegamer?Fatality Pro as?a highend device, or the X-Fi Xtremegamer for $00 less? Or should I be looking at another manufacturer. Would either of these x-fi gamers work with Vista 64bit Ultimate?suggestions please?

Webcam Live Pro! Computer crashing driver problem

I have had the Webcam Live Pro! for a few months running on a Windows XP Home Emachines with a .8 ghz AMD processor. The driver that comes with the CD out of the box has a conflict that causes the entire computer to shut down and reboot (or sometimes to freeze) when using third-party software, such as an instant messenger. I originally called the Creative Techs about this, and they told me that there was no problem with the driver. But a month later, a new driver was posted on their web site that claimed to fix this exact problem. I uninstalled the old driver and installed the new driver. But the problem came back even with the new driver. The only handle I can get on it is that the problem tends to re-appear after using the camera for a number of days. That is, the shutdown/freeze problem goes away when I uninstall the driver and then re-install the driver. But then a few days of use (one hour a day, typically) causes the problem to reappear. Then the problem re-occurs every few minutes until I uninstall the driver and re-install the driver. After that I can use the camera for a few hours before the crash problem returns.
I am using this camera on a machine that I use for nothing more than video conferencing. No games or junk. I do not even do word processing on this computer. The computer crashes only when using the Creative Webcam Live Pro! I wish they would really fix this driver. I would pay double for this camera if it worked well. As it is now, I am researching other cameras.

If your windows XP machine reboots?while using Capture or when you are using Skype video calling of Yahoo video calling, try using a USB port that plugs directly into you mother board. Also make sure it is a USB2 port and not a USB port. I had the camera plugged into a USB card that I added to my computer and it caused it to reboot after using the camera for a short time. If the problem persists, remove the program and reinstall making sure the camera is not connected to your computer until the software tells you to hook it up.

Creative WebCam Vista Plus - need Driver for Vis

I've a problem with my WebCam. I've bougth the Creative WebCam Vista Plus and everything working fine, using WinXP.
Now I bougth a new PC with Vista Business 64bit. I plugged in the WebCam and wondered, that the Vista drivers are not allready on bord. So I tryed to download the driver from the Creative Support Site. There I got only the answer, that there is no download available for my product... !!
By the time I bought the Cam i thougth, that I am buying a future-proof product. I mean, even the name of the cam includes the word VISTA! Isn't that crazy
Does everone know a possibility to get the Cam working I'm realy upset about the driver-policy from Creative.

Can you click on the details for the error report and post up what it says. If it reports something about Apple causing the problem then you could try updating your QuickTime to the latest version.

Your posted info shows you are using Mac OS X (10.5.8). With this Mac OS, you can use iMovie, Photo Booth, or optional QuickTime 7 Pro to record and save a QuickTime video. (Be sure to save in a YouTube Supported file format.)
Then follow the YouTube Help instructions for How to upload your saved videos.

Webcam Live Pro causes system crash with Windows XP Home

Ever since installing Webcam Live Pro I have been having random system restarts. This ONLY happens when the webcam is being used. It happens when using the Creative Webcam Center or another application. Sometimes the restart will happen after a few minutes, and other times an hour or more. I am running Windows XP sp2 with all patches, and there are no driver conflicts listed in Device Manager. I have the cam set at 60 hz.
Even though there are no listed driver conflicts in Device Manager, there clearly is a driver conflict that occurs from time to time. I have read of other people having this same problem on this forum with Webcam Live Pro. I am using the driver ...0 which is dated 0//2004, and the automatic update program on this web site says that I am using the latest driver. But in the download section of this web site, the latest driver is listed as .0.0.0 and dated November 9, 2004. The driver numbers or dates do not match, and the driver on the web seems to have an earlier number but a later date!?
Does anyone (especially a Creative tech support person who may be reading this post) have any idea what to do? The driver version is one issue. But the big issue is the system crashes.

Solution! I discovered the problem causing the system crash, and I think it is sufficiently interesting to note here so that others may benefit from what I discovered. First, there is no fundamental problem/conflict with the driver for Webcam Live Pro. The trouble in my instance is that I was running another program that utilized the web cam, and that program conflicted with the Webcam Live Pro program that was constantly running in the system tray. Basically, the program in the system tray is loaded with the set-up for Webcam Live Pro. It constantly monitors the computer system to see if the cam is connected to the computer. When it does this while another program is using the cam, the conflict occurs, causing the entire computer to reboot. The solution is to right mouse click the icon for Webcam Live Pro in the system tray, go to settings, and to remove the check that allows the program to check for the presence of the web cam. Just to be safe, I then also exited the Webcam Live Pro program from the system tray so that nothing from that program could interfere with my use of the webcam using another program.
The result is that the webcam is rock solid, with no system crashes. I have been running it nonstop for hours without a problem.

Sorry but I don't think there is driver for your webcam. Please refer to the driver availability chart for updates.

It will run. If you really want to game, off course you should but a 15 inch MBP and get you're Steam on, or buy a *couch* PC, or gaming console.
You could get all next-gen consoles for the price of a new MBP (well maybe all of them)
And eveyone of these options can play the games you want!

Error Message on WEBCAM NX PRO

I recently purchased the Webcam NX Pro and am trying to get the hardware and software working. I followed all the installation directions and thought I was all set. When I click on the Creative WebCam Monitor icon, I get the a "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down" message. The details are as follows:

Make sure that you have all background programs including AntiVirus programs disabled on your system before attempting to install the camera. Also make sure that you have all the latest updates for your version of Windows installed.

Please, run the DirectX diagnostics tool. Go to Windows Start and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file. Please, attach this file to your post. Be aware that you will have to zip this file before attaching it here.

FME2 - No Audio With Logitech Pro 9000 webcam

I have tried everyway imaginable to get Flash Media Encoder 2
to turn on the Logitech Pro 9000 webcam microphone using an Acer
2423 laptop with Windows XP Home.
1. FME2 does indeed recognize the Logitech 9000 camera and
microphone as they both show up in the FME setting window.
2. But the preview window will not show any video or
broadcast video, unless the microphone setting is changed to the
internal Acer laptop microphone. (The internal microphone, however
does not function even though selected.
3. When FME 2 opens it seems to crash the Logitech Pro 9000
microphone connection, as verified when going to the Logitech
Quickcam settings panel, it shows the microphone not working.
4. To reset the Logitech Pro microphone the computer must be
rebooted.
5. The only way I've found to work around this is to
broadcast ( on justin.tv) without audio after setting the FME
settings to the internal Acer microphone. (To get the Logitech mic
to work on another encoder, for instance to use Justin.tv's ON2
encoder I have to reboot the computer for the Logitech mic to
reset.)
6. The Logitech mic does work with justin.tv's encoders and
with ustream.tv encoders.

Who to or how do I send the session file? I tried the send
